Genkai was silent for a few long moments.

"A TV show?" she asked, and then snorted. "About the dimwit? No wonder you two looked so shocked." She smirked.

"We've probably watched it more times than it really healthy," Winter admitted. "But it's just-- Up until about an hour ago, this wasn't real."

"Huh. Well, for now we'll ignore the question of how that's possible." Genkai shook her head. "So, you already know a lot about this world. I'm guessing that's why you both freaked out even more over the idea of training than I would have guessed."

Winter nodded a bit.

"So now what?" she asked. "I mean, now that you know what's going on."

Genkai shrugged. "Now I figure out what to do with you two," she said. "I wasn't expecting guests. Go find something to do for a while, just don't wander far."

"Um?" The thought of wandering around Genkai's temple was terrifying and thrilling all at once. She was absolutely certain they would get lost, but that's wasn't as much of a problem as it could have been, since she could probably get them back to the kitchen if she had to. She looked at Peggy to see what her friend thought.

Peggy was quiet for a moment before she nodded.

"We might as well get used to this world," she muttered. "We don't know how long we'll be here, so it might be better if we can adapt as fast as possible, just in case."

Winter nodded.

"May as well, then," she murmured. "Though I'm not going outside. Not without someone to go with us, at least."

"Right." Peggy stood again. "We can wander around inside for a bit then, I guess." She headed out of the kitchen slowly. Genkai just watched them go.

Winter nodded and followed Peggy out. She stayed close to her friend even as she looked around the halls.

"This place is a lot bigger than it looked," she commented.

"Well, we hardly ever got to look around inside," Peggy pointed out. "I'm not surprised there's a lot here we haven't seen."

"Still, it didn't look like a very big building," Winter replied, looking around. She grinned a bit. "I kind of want to find the arcade room, but I doubt we're allowed to touch any of it."

"Maybe tomorrow we can ask, once we're on a little steadier ground." Peggy grinned, though, because that would be fun. She turned a corner and jumped when she saw someone sitting there watching the birds outside.

Yukina blinked and half-turned to look at the newcomers. "Oh, hello, I didn't realize we had visitors." She smiled at them both.

Winter jumped and just barely muffled a yelp.

Yukina looked at them both, a little worried at their initial reactions.

"Are you both alright?" she asked, concerned. She stood up, though didn't take any steps closer. She knew how skittish humans could be sometimes.

"Um, yeah," Peggy managed after a moment. "Just, uh, just surprised." Her eyes were still wide. "Didn't expect to see anyone." But holy shit that was Yukina.

"Oh, I see," Yukina said. "I'm sorry for startling you." She smiled. "My name is Yukina."

Winter was trying to quickly reboot her brain.

"Winter," she managed. "I'm Winter."

"Peggy." She nodded to Yukina. "We were just doing a bit of exploring, Genkai told us to go look around."

"I see," Yukina said. "I could show you around, if you like? I know it can be difficult if you don't know your way around."

"Sure," Peggy agreed after a moment. "That would be great, thank you." She was just barely keeping together at this point. The fangirling was, so far at least, all internal, thank goodness.

Yukina smiled again and gestured for them to follow her.

Winter didn't trust herself to speak, not quite yet. Her mind was spinning, and she wasn't entirely sure it would land in a place where she wouldn't put her foot into her mouth. She did, however, glance at Peggy with a look that clearly said 'omg can you believe this?'

Peggy grinned a bit, although her grin was not quite normal and definitely edging into 'oh god what even is our life' territory. Really, this was kind of nuts.

As they followed Yukina around, Winter couldn't help but stare at how big the temple was. It was really kind of impressive.

"If you don't mind my asking," Yukina said after a few moments, "what brings you here to the temple?"

"Ah, um..." Winter hesitated. "Accidental teleporting."

Yukina actually blinked at that. "Accidental teleporting...?"

"Long story," Peggy told her with a tired smile. "But we really didn't expect to be here."

"Yeah, this was... definitely a surprise," Winter added, nodding.

Yukina nodded. "I see. I hope this isn't too hard for you, then. Do you need anything?"

Peggy smiled. Aw, she was so cute~. "I'm good, thank you though."
