"Oh god yes bath," Coral said promptly. "Everything else will keep for a little while, that is a fantastic idea." She turned to head towards their rooms. "As nice as life was in Storybrooke, it wasn't home."
"Yeah," Lotus said. She couldn't help but smile when she saw the door of her rooms. "I missed home so much."
"Me too." Coral pushed open the doors to her room with a bit of a grin. "I'll see you in a bit then." Now that she was home again, she was anxious to bathe and change into something more suited to home.
"Yeah, go," Lotus said, waving a hand. She slipped into her own room and just stood there for a moment, taking it in. After a few moments of trying not to cry, she stripped out of her clothes from Storybrooke and pulled the bell cord to summon a servant to draw her bath.
Coral ended up spending more time than she'd planned in the tub, just enjoying the feel of all her own things again. But she did eventually make herself get out and get dressed again. After all, they had things to discuss with their mother, and they had guests to attend to.
Lotus lounged in the tub for a while, as well, and then took her time reacquainting herself with her closet. Finally, she chose a gown and got dressed, and then ventured back out to meet up with everyone else.
By then, Coral was out in one of the main rooms with Hook and Henry, giving them a bit of a tour while food was prepared for them. Henry, at least, was eager to learn. Hook, not so much.
"I feel like myself again," Lotus said to her sister as she came into the room. Her hair was half-up and the rest tumbled over her shoulders, and the dress swirled around her like water. Sparkling sandals peeked out from the hem of the gown.
Coral nodded her agreement. "I know, it feels wonderful." She had her own hair pulled up into messy bun with tendrils escaping down her back, and she looked much more comfortable in her own turquoise gown.
"You guys look amazing," Henry said. "Is this what you always wear?"
"Normally, yes," Coral agreed, shooting him a quick smile. "We do have more formal things, of course, when necessary."
Hook looked over Lotus before he quirked a bit of a grin at her. She really did look good. |
Lotus noticed the grin and couldn't help but blush slightly as she quickly looked away again.
"So now what?" Henry asked. "How did we get here? And how do we get back to Storybrooke? I mean--" he scrambled a bit. "--don't get me wrong, this is awesome, we're in actual Atlantis, but everyone back home has got to be worried by now." |
Coral shrugged. "I have no idea," she said. "I don't even know how we got here in the first place, I thought it was impossible to get back. So we'll have to figure out what happened first, and then figure out how to get you back home."
Hook nodded. That sounded reasonable, after all. "And in the meantime?" |
"We can have someone show you both around the city," Lotus offered. "We need to get ourselves caught back up on everything, but maybe we can meet you later?"
Hook shrugged. He was fine either way.
Henry lit up, and then paused for a moment. "Maybe we can take a look around the castle for right now?" he asked instead. "We'll stay out of the way, promise." |
Lotus nodded.
"Sure," she said. "I'll have one of the servants show you around." |
"Awesome." Henry grinned, clearly pleased with this. Hook just smiled a bit at the boy's enthusiasm.
Lotus couldn't help but smile as well. Henry was adorable when he was so excited. Waving over one of the servants lingering in the corner of the room, she quietly give some instructions. The servant nodded and moved off again, ready for when Henry and Hook wanted to explore.
"May as well go now, lad," Hook pointed out. "Let the ladies get their affairs settled." He shot a grin at Lotus.
Henry nodded and headed over towards the servant. |
Lotus turned a bit pink again at that. Once the two were gone, she sat back in her seat with a sigh.
"Now we need to figure out what's been going on since we've been gone," she commented to Coral. |
"I'm sure Mother will bring us up to date," Coral agreed. "In fact I'll be surprised if we don't get a summons from her soon."
"No need for a summons," the queen said as she came into the room. "I would much rather discuss affairs over tea with my daughters."
Coral smiled. "Tea sounds wonderful," she agreed, falling into step just behind their mother. "Casual tea or full tea with snacks?" she asked, just a tad hopefully.
The queen smiled indulgently.
"Full tea," she said. Lotus smiled as well and fell in beside her sister. |
Coral grinned. Oh this was going to be nice.
Once they were all settled and had tea and snacks, she looked at their mother. "I'm sure we've missed a lot," she murmured. |
