Amber rolled down her window as she pulled out of the parking spot and drove down to the mall with ease, listening to Rane as she asked about what sort of shopping they're be doing. "Let's stick with window shopping unless we see something we like." She agreed, keeping her eyes on the road as she drove.

(Immy: sorry it's short ><)

"Works for me, if we're lucky we can shop in ease without anything else troubling us along the way or getting called in." though that was unlikely for certain days and since they were going to a mall it could get a bit more...well less in their favor. Rane kept her own weapons upon her thought within her outfit knowing to keep them concealed just in case of an emergency. She didn't think she would need them though.

(is hotch's son alive in this one? his wife? I cannot remember) Nova_Alchemist:

Amber smirked some and briefly glanced at her roommate before looking back at the road. "Hopefully." She said softly. "Feel free to mess with the radio, Rane. It'll be a minute before we get to the mall." She offered, since both girls weren't really big on talking too mich. Small talk was okay, but both girls had a lot on their minds.

Nova_Alchemist: ah right, i think my plan was for the two to get divorced or maybe she just gets taken out of the story. Plus there was a part later LATER down the road that Hotch is supposed to lose his son, that's when my girl gets more involved. You'll see though, I'm patient on that and you cannot rush a story.

Rane hadn't used the radio in a long time, she was used to the silence though she figured it would probably help Amber if they had some music on. She scanned the stations for a couple songs and advertisements. Finally she found an old station that played more classical music without the words. It was a violin celtic theme video

(Immy: either way. I don't know how'd we squeeze her into the plot anyway xD and I haven't seen that far.. But okay ^^)

Amber couldn't help smiling as Rane scanned the radio stations, liking what the other had found. Celtic music had to be her favorite. She used to listen to it while she stayed in the dorm to help her study or distress after a big test. "I could listen to this all dat." She murmured softly as she listened.

Nova_Alchemist: one thing, the letter L is broken on my keyboard, not really broken but just the top piece is gone so if I miss an L sorry. Also I'll work it in my way then, that way I can actually do my character's background a bit. That will be a case for itself.

Rane heard her mumble as she smiled a bit, "Same here" Rane loved music without words so it wouldn't control her life. Life. Her mind flashed back to the moment she stood above the large metal bridge. The wind roughly pushing her around as if she would topple any moment as she stared into the deep dark depths of the treacherous river beneath her.

(Immy: kay. Imma go a mini time skip)

Soon, Amber was pulling into the parking lot of the mall and turned off the car. She undid her seat belt and opened her car door, glancing at her roommate. "Rane?" She voiced. "We're here, let's go." She said, offering the woman a small smile before getting out of the car and waiting for Rane to do the same.

Nova_Alchemist: wow we're just going back and forth lol and thats fine.

Rane snapped out of her memory as she realized they came to a stop and heard her name being called once or so. "My bad, dozed off for a minute. Guess I could use more sleep." she half lied as she got out of the car and walked inside the mall with Amber next to her. They saw a lot of people in the mall that day, so many shops and sales were going on. Sheesh. She hadn't been to a mall in ages but it looked busier than ever before.

( Immy: just like the old days lol xD)

Amber shook her head lightly. "It's okay." She said casually as she locked the car doors and followed Rane inside the mall. Her icy blue eyes shining with excitement as she noticed all the people, making sure not to get separated from Rane as they began their window shopping. "It's been so long since I've stepped foot inside this mall, it's changed."

Nova_Alchemist: now i feel even more old lol im not even 29 yet and thats a couple months away hahaha XD lol jk

"How long has it been for you? I've spent almost four years ordering things online that I forgot they existed" Rane explained not joking about her comment, it was true too. She hadn't stepped for into a modern store in ages that she forgot it was an actual thing in this day and age still.

(Immy: lolz )

Amber thought a moment about the question. She had a part time job while she was attending college, to pay for the classes and dorms, and between the resources too tired or busy to even want to check out the old mall. She chuckled at Rane's words and nodded lightly. "It's been about the same for me. I didn't have time or an interest for mall shopping when I was in college." She admitted with a quiet laugh.

Nova_Alchemist:

Rane shrugged "Sounds about right that two non-shoppers go into a large mall unknown only to find themselves trapped with shopping for clothes" Rane made it sound like a challenge or a mission making her quiely laugh to herself. "Oh they still have stores like this?" talking about Spencers (an adult version of hot topic), Rane heard Amber's phone go off for a text.

it was Reid [Good Morning, what are you up to?] whether it was morning or not begged the question. However Rane had glanced over out of curiosity seeing the text. By the time the other girl could respond Rane was taking a selfie of them both and sent it to the team (meaning to send it to Reid only) but that worked just as well. It was filtered with text saying "Shopping Time" and sent it.

(hey rane's not acting like a robot at the moment lol)

Immy:

Amber chuckled, relieved to have something else in common with her roommate. She nudged Rane lightly at her words, catching her tone. Amber blinked when her phone went off and she smiled at the text from Reid. She responded by telling him she was out with Rane, and asked if he wanted to grabbed a coffee later. She would text him when her and Rane went back to the apartment.

Nova_Alchemist:

Rane started walking into the store figuring the other girl would follow. This wasn't her area of comfort as most adult themes go. She knew of the study of the human bodies, entertwining and all, but never did she partake herself. Rare at her age but even then so she had plenty of other things to do to keep her occupied. "Wow" was all she could say, she did find some cool graphic shirts, some mugs (cups), but that's all. "See anything?"

Immy:

Amber followed Rane inside when she started walking and paused at the store they came to. She liked some of the shirts but most of the other things were just weird. So, she browsed the graphic shirts briefly. "Nothing here, let's head out." She suggested, not feeling very comfortable in this kind of store.

Nova_Alchemist: i am so used to the titles that I see them and think "oh its that rp" lol XD

"You think after aging and all these years you'd get used to it." Rane stated spotting an earthy store, candy, electronics, furniture, aeropostle, even some she didn't recognize. "Guess not, keeping in mind to stay out of that way. People stare too much as well." though that didn't bother her, she was used to it, but most of the time she stayed out of sight. She saw a shoe store that had some nice boots, never understood why she loved boots so much. Especially low heeled ones. Never really could do heels.

The red haired woman shook her head some. "Nope, I'll admit to.never getting used to a store like that." Amber noticed the boots and smiled some, nudging Rane lightly. "Let's check out the boots then head over to the earthy store over there?" She offered, seeing Rane take an interest in the boots.

Nova_Alchemist:

Rane smiled as they went into the shoe store and of course Rane was looking right at the pair she saw she wanted. Examining the material and craftsmanship she realized they weren't that great but the appearance would wind up looking really good with her outfits. Then again most of her outfits were black so everything looked good with them. She picked out three pairs of shoes, a pair of flats and two pairs of boots. Wedges mostly. "Find anything?" She asked Amber.

Reid texted back [Sure, would love to] "So is it official?" Rane asked Amber about her and Reid texting back and forth. Mostly teasing.

Amber was examining some ankle boots and a pair of knee high boots with very little heel. She liked the ankle boots, and bought a pair of flats instead. "A couple of things." She smiled as they left the store. When her phone buzzed, she checked her phone and smiled. She then blinked and blushed at Rane's tease. She put her phone away and nudged Rane. "We're just getting coffee."

Nova_Alchemist: they ever gonna fix the multi equipting problem?

"It always starts with coffee" Rane stated as they walked into the other store seeing all the colors, crystals, and free spirited items. Rane wandered over to some incense checking them out, various types including cones, powders, and oils. "Crystals" Rane whispered to herself as she picked out a couple until she found a lovely green nature inspired dress. Thin and summer or spring based, possibly autumn if combined with the right outfits. Shaking her head she ignored it picking out a couple other items along the way. Rane saw the different types of crystals "With our lives being hectic I believe some quartz would help, possibly rose and clear along with ameythst." Rane was a nerd with her own area of selective items. "A pendant would look good on you, here's one that looks like a bracelet but its a leather band watch. You know, Reid likes watches. He is always checking the time. Could do some good to give him something to ease his stressful side of work life." Rane hinted at as she found her favorite spot, wooden box puzzles.

Immy:

Amber's ice blue eyes widen some at Rane's words. "No way, it's not like that." She said shyly, pushing some stray hair behind her ear. She didn't think she was even girlfriend material. She and Spence were friends. They planned a coffee meeting some time back but it never happened. This was to make up for it. She followed Rane into the earthy store and examined the crystals, listening to Rane. She looked over the different cuts of rose quartz and amythests. She was now looking at the pendants and wrist bangles.

Nova_Alchemist:

"Rose Quartz is the light pink crystal to help you love yourself and others. The clear quartz is protection and opening your inner mind. Tiger's eye is good luck, mental clarity, and protection as well as power awakening. Makes you feel like you coulld be stronger. Or if you want something a bit of each, a chakra pendant would be perfect for you." Rane suggested taking notice of something. A young man with dark hair, dark eyes, and tattoos all over his body walked out of the Spencers adult store. He had a bit of blood on him "Do me a favor stay here. Make sure no one gets hurt or leaves. As an agent that is your job even off the clock. Text the team and let them know we may have a problem and keep your location on." Rane said putting her bags down and taking her sweater around her waist off. She noticed another man go into the back room of the said store.

Before anything could be done, men with guns and weapons walk in making everyone get down. "One...six...nine..." what were they doing? They weren't...oh crap...Rane realized what they were doing, explosives. She couldn't let Amber know about that, not yet but she had to make sure the newer younger agent didn't get involved. Rane whispered to Amber "Stay down and get to that child over there without her mother. Keep her from freaking out, okay." Rane wasn't sure who was supposed to help who as a fourteen year old looked frightened at the shouting.

Rane snuck into the back room knowing most rooms would lead to other parts of the store.

Immy:

Amber smirked to herself as Rand spoke, knowing her gems quite well. She picked up a clear quartz pendant and took out her phone when Rane told her to, without question. She sent a quick text to Reid before lowering to the ground like everyone else, and putting away her phone. She watched the men and soon picked up on what they were doing. Damn.. Couldn't they have one day to relax? Slowly, she eased her way over to the child and easily calmed the girl, staying down and holding her hand with the quartz in her palm.

Nevermind i left and now im back. picked up brother from school.

Rane had wandered out of the room to the back unseen, however there were already men back there as a fight broke out between them. Rane caught a punch while dodging out of the way of the attacks and landing a blow on them. Without any words the fight took a couple minutes then the enemies were down. However, there were explosives in the room she was in as well. She took her phone out to call Hotch waiting for him to pick up. "Hotch there are explosives in the mall that we're in, you can track me by my ph-" Before Rane could finish someone hit her on the back of the head making her fall to the ground. It struck her into a daze which made her get up out of instinct but they hit her once more making her black out. Out of everyone who would play hero, she just had to be the one to make the move. It was that or learn innocents died because she didn't do anything.

Reid got the text going to the others about what he had just received telling Hotch too "Hotch I got a text from Amber" before he could finish he realized the older man already knew considering he was on the phone.

The enemies took Rane dragging her off to another location and tying her up knowing she'd be trouble if she got loose again. She would make their plans fail.

Immy:

Hotch answered his phone as soon as Rand called. "Rane? Hey!" He voiced when the call ended p. He got up from his chair and hurriedly went to meet Garcia, hearing Reid about the text he got. "Everyone get ready, we've got a job." He said as he walked into the computer room where Garcia was set. up. "Gsrcia, track Rane and Amber's phone asap."

Amber kept her head down as she watched the armed men like a hawk. Rane had a disappeared and she had a feeling she wouldn't be seeing her again for a while. All she could was wait..or try to distract them. Amber glanced at the young girl and smiled sweetly. "It's going to be alright sweetie.. I'm an FBI agent, my team will come. I promise." She murmured softly to the girl.
