Edward smiled and moved behind her, moving to his knees and keeping himself steady with a hand on her shoulder.
"I know, and I love you too. But about being shy.....I don't think I am...or can be, not now, not after so much that I've went through with you, or put you through. Isn't it beautiful?" He was sidetracked looking into the sky with all the stars and the moon, he'd always liked the night, and now he had an even better reason.

(im a tad confused how he is standing, im guessing behind her, she is standing outside the tent)
I smiled warmly, feeling his hand on my shoulder, and his soft voice in my ear... was so comforting.
"Edward... I want to show you how I feel but I know we can't...not here." I sighed and looked over at him; the moonlight seemed to dance across his face.
"Maybe...elsewhere?"

Edward tilted his head.
"Elsewhere? Where would we go?" 'Show him how she felt?' He might be dense enough as it was, but that had to have been the most vauge statement this century.
He blinked and then blinked again...what had ever happened to Truth or Dare? The look in Shiba's eyes......it was like...uh oh...he'd known this day would come eventually (What with all the fangirls? NO! *ish sarcastic X3*) but his stomach did flip-flops thinking it could be so soon...was she really planning on...on....he felt his face grow red-hot.

(GAH IM SO EXCITED FOR EDWARD!!! LOLZ I actually squeaked out loud.)

"I donno... like a private area...like a PM box..." I yawned and looked his way, smiling wide. The excitement and nervousness in his face was as evident as the moon above. I ran my hand through his long hair, which was still upbraided and..so beautiful.[slaps all fangirls, and closes off into private room]

Edward stepped backwards, his face drained of all color, and his eyebrows cocked, one up and one down.
"PM...box?" He asked his face confused. He looked like he'd been set out in the middle of Wonderland without a map....and he just lost the White Rabbit....thanks Mr. Loser Bunny, now how am I supposed to find the River of Twilight that will lead me to the Land of Milk and Cookies, and the Lollipop Lane?! Stupid rabbit.

((On that note: Hatch knows EXACTLY what you're talking about XDD And laughes at all the fangirls before getting pummled with 'UKE' paddles....oh the humiliation.....¬.¬))

I laughed at him, waving a hand.
"Just kidding, you're hilarious. Well c'mon, we should get to bed, its late.." I stretched one more time and went back inside the tent, kicking off my shoes and snuggling between my open sleeping bag and thin fleece blanket.
Damn him...foiling my plot with his stupidity....

"Right...bed..." Edward turned and then nodded, thinking where was his bed? Out here? In the house? He couldn't just leave Shiba out here...but there wasn't enough room in there for him and her...just then he heard a whistle from the front door.
"Edward!" Alohonse called.
"I thought you might need these!" He smiled as he made his way over and handed off a sleeping bag and a few pillows.
"You're sleeping out here right? Like camping? I thought you would, so I brought these out. Anyway, Goodnight you two!" He waved and ran back into the house, his barefeet taking him as fast as they would go...he'd been watching from the window, or rather, had caught things when at their most interesting, and figured his idiot brother would have needed a little help after all that had fried his poor blonde brain.
"...Yeah....okay..night..."

I sat up and yelled out to him, not knowing Alphonse had come out.
"You coming? Theres plenty of room and blankets for us to share in here you know." I yelled out to him. I snuggled back into my ball of warmth, scooting over to the side, so he could just fit, if we were pressed against one another in the tent as we slept.


The sound of the crickets filled my ears and In my fetal position under the lonely blanket, I finally drifted off to a sleep.

Edward sighed and plopped down outside the tent, he didn't want to risk anything, not after the day they'd had...with Winry, and Mustang...things were just too hetic for him to safely join her in the tent.
He smiled and lay down under the blanket, and fell asleep peacfully.

The next morning he woke to a damp feeling under his left arm, he blinked awake and frowned, the dew had fell and his arm was laying smack dab in the middle of it all.
"Crap.." He said groggily.
"What a morning."

I slowly opened my eyes and looked over at the side where I had left space for Ed and he hadn't returned. I sighed and sat up, scratching my head and yawning widely. I pulled the brush from my bag and brushed my hair slowly, thoughts of last night running though my mind. He... had to have been mad at me if he didnt return...and I just accepted the fact and tried my hardest to push the thoughts from my mind.
I quickly dressed and zippered the tent and climbed out; it was really early. Stretching, I looked back at the tent and nodded, not knowing Ed was behind it and made my way to the river where i would bathe.

Edward sat up and blinked, He watched Shiba head out of the tent and he started to say something, but his voice caught in his throat and he took to coughing instead...blast all that nasty stuff in his throat.
It was like this everymorning.
"Crap.." He choked out at last.
"Guuhh! Need some water after that."

I made my way to the bank where I had seen Scar last night; it was behind some brush and I undressed slowly and sighed. I looked out over the river and it...was such a beautiful, magnificent sight.
Finally nude, I stepped into the water slowly and shivered at the briskness from the night before. I shrugged and finally dove in and broke the surface, sitting indian style on the bottom of the crystal clear water. I yawned and caught a fish and transmuted it into shampoo for my hair. The water line was right over my chest line.

Edward in the meantime, headed inside, Pinako had left the back door open for him and Shiba, noticing the tent outside. He headed over to the sink and poured himself a glass of water downing in a a few gulps.
"That's better." He said with a slight yawn.
"So, did you two get to talk enough?" Edward turned to see Alphonse step through from the living room.
"I guess..." He said.
"I slept outside the tent last night."
"So I've noticed, you look like it.""Ow..."

I finished bathing and sat down on the bank and clapped and touched my body, making the water evaporate.

"Heh, I wish I could do that."
I whipped my head around, cupping my chest and area, and Roy only waved.
"Hey sweets, how did last night go?"
"M-MUSTANG! GIMME SOME PRIVACY!" I threw a rock at him and he dodged and laughed, turning around.
"I guess you forget we fused... your naked body is nothing new to me, as mine is not new to you."
I blinked, and...blinked again, realizing he was right and I shrugged, and let go of myself, and dunked my dirty clothes into the river.
"Last night...is none of your concern."
He stepped back, waving his hands, still not facing me.
"Well, I'll take it not well then. Shiba... give him time, he's new at this love and relationship thing. He'll come around, I'm sure." He said reassuringly.
I pulled my water out of the bubbly water and threw it in the air; I clapped, but before I could transmute, he snapped his fingers, drying my clothes in mid air with extreme fire from his fingers. I smiled and caught my clothes and looked over at the back of his sleek black hair.
"Ed... may need someone to talk to... and you may be the only one who understand him in this situation," I said quietly
Roy only nodded and walked off, waving.

I sighed and continued to wash and dry my clothes, the old fashioned alchemy way.

"You did something stupid again didn't you?"
"What makes you say that?"
"The way that you act, the fact that you and Shiba aren't together, and the dark rings under your eyes...that tells me that you were either up all night talking, and not getting anywhere knowing you, or that you didn't sleep well because of your concience."
"Al, my concience does not always affect my sleep."
"It does when it comes to Shiba."
"And how would you know?"
"Ed...come on, how long have we known each other?"
"True..." Edward leaned against the back of the couch and sighed.
"Do you think she hates me?"
"Not at this point...but I wouldn't leave it like this for too long."

[Winry]Rubbing my eyes, I stepped down the steps in pajamas (long white thin pants, white tank) and looked ot the boys. I waved wearily and made my way to the kitchen and rummaged though the fridge until I found the milk and poured myself a cup.
"You boys sleep good?" I asked, looking to them.
"Ed... are you alright?"

Finished cleaning my clothes, I pulled them all back on and looked around.
Now what... I said to myself and sat down on a nearby log and pulled my sketchbook out of my back pack.
I drew..what was on my mind..and it ended up being the vision of Edward, his hair long and sprawled out over the pillow beside me. His pink cheeks and shy smile, and those alluring amber eyes filled with so much love. A tear hit my paper and I stopped sketching, wiping my face on my arm.
"Come on now Shiba, snap out of it..."

Roy merely sat down at the camp site, in the chair Shiba has do finely transmuted and waited for Ed to come out, if he planned so.

Al smiled.
"Yeah, Ed's just using his brain for once." Edward glared at the back of Al's head as he'd turned to look at Winry and stuck his tounge out.
"Look I need to go get Granny's blanket from outside, do me a favor Al, don't make me sound any worse than I already feel." He waved and headed outside, stopping when he saw the Colonel.
"What do you want?" He growled out in his usual morning tone.

[Winry] I watched him leave and just sighed. I looked to Alphonse.
"Shiba issues I suppose?" I sighed and downed the rest of my milk.


Roy only waved.
"Im guessing by your tone things didn't go well?" he smiled, resting his head in his hand.
"I feel like I got farther than you did; I just saw her naked." he teased, smiling wide.

Al only smiled.
"He asked me not to."

Edward sighed and headed out, he'd come to get the blanket after all.
"That. Is none of your business." He ground his teeth together and jerked the quilt from off the ground feeling his lip curl back.
"That's disgusting coming from you Colonel, what would the Lieutenant say?"
Edward thought a moment...she wouldn't...she'd just open rounds on Mustang...that seemed to be her favorite way to communicate after all.

[Winry] I nodded and decided not to pry, respecting Eds wishes.

"So...I can tell you are still the immature brat I brought into the military, to be calling a beautiful nude body like hers 'disgusting.' And Riza? She..." his voice trailed, he looked away.
"Shes went to visit her family in the North. Im still looking for Scar, yet something keeps pulling me back here. Probably my concern for you and your non-success with this sweetheart you seem to like to toy with." he sat up, interlacing his fingers and leaning forward.
"Tell me Edward, did you make her cry?"

"THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT AND YOU KNOW IT!" Ed barked.
"What are you, my stalker now? You're kind of freakin' me out with as much as you keep showing up wherever I am...Scar's not here as you can see...so..." His voice fell.
"Why don't you.....
Yes." He turned.
"I didn't mean to! But....it's all I ever seem to do anymore."

He only laughed, loving to see him so tortured.
"Oh Edward, I'm no stalker, I am your boss, and... oddly enough... I care about you. I just want things to go right for you, and... to see you smile a genuine smile for once. I don't think Ive ever seen one unless youre with her."
He listened intently and sighed, rubbing his eyes.
"Did you lie to her in some way?" he asked.
"Just talk to her, let her know youre still interested, unless...youre not?" He said, leaning back in the squeak of the chair.
"In any case, reassure her of your feelings and just be honest. Honesty is all women really want... well, that and physicalness." He chuckled.

Edward glared....okay, this was probably one of the creepiest things that Mustang had EVER said.
"That's....a little disturbing." He muttered.
He flopped to the ground, cuddling the blanket to his body like a pillow and let his chin fall into the soft folds.
"I funno.." He said his answer muffled.
"Maybe...it was late, and I went to sleep..I can't remember EVERYthing that was said.." He looked up, an eyebrow cocked.
"And what do I tell her? 'Hey there Shiba I know I was a prick, but hey, I still like you, can you forgive me?' Nice one....real nice."

He groaned.
"How is that disturbing? I helped Havoc get a girlfriend the best I could...didn't go so well, but I tried dammit..(EP18 I think) The happiness of my men means the quality of their performance as one of my soldiers. If you were in love and fighting to stay alive and go home to someone you loved, you would fight herder to stay alive. Its a tactic. I just have to help you get there." He looked to him as he cuddled into the blanket at his feet, he could only smile at some of the childish things he still did. No grown soldier would cuddle with a blanket on the ground in front of his Colonial.
He shook his head.
"So you do still like her then, well just be honest and sweet to her. Maybe buy her something or do something nice for her to suprize her, to get her attention. Your moping around and leaving her alone to her thoughts isn't the best idea. Obviously shes hurting right now and she can only dwell in her own sadness and think of possible futures without you. You dont want that to happen, i believe you want to be in her future. Then prove it to her."
[GAWD Im good at lectures >.>]

Edward again cocked an eyebrow.
"Yeahhhh....that's a little disturbing too." He rolled onto his side, not bothering to uncross his legs, instead allowed them to stick straight up in the air.
"Guaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh...Of course I like her! Why wouldn't I? Who in their right mind wouldn't...but what in the world am I supposed to do for her!?" He groaned....he didn't know what Shiba would like..
"You were in her head, why aren't you any more help than this?" He pouted into the cover and racked his brain.
He really couldn't blame Roy, after all, he was here now, trying to help him out of this nasty situation...but if all he could give him was advice...he was as good as sunk....where were the directions at times like these!?
