I huffed at his seemingly sarcastic way of saying I cant fight and I aggressively stepped out between them and clapped, slamming my hands on the ground, creating a wall about 20 feet high and 20 feet long. I stared sternly into his amber eyes. Roy was left on the other side.
"I will not allow you to fight, either of you. Call each other whatever you want, but I wont allow this. He is your boss and our friend." "Whats the matter Ed? Letting your woman rule you? How typical of the short one of the relationship; make sure she doesnt step on you to put you in your place. Im game for the outskirts if you really wanna settle this once and for all!!!" he yelled from the other side. |
Edward pouted a little at Shiba's back and sighed.
"Awww, not even a little?" He begged, and then his pleading eyes turned rock solid as he glared right through the rock at Roy, wanting to bust him one for calling him short. "Well at least I'm not ruled at GUNPOINT!" He retaliated. He turned away saddened that he wasn't going to be able to punch him in the face again. "Come on Shiba...the sooner we find Kiri the sooner we can go home." |
I looked down at him and shook my head.
"No, things will only get worse between the two of you. and remember; he holds our fates in his hands. He coudl arrest us for kidnapping at any moment. [LOL GREAT COMEBACK!] He was struck with that one; last night, she had brought out the gun to make him eat tghe rest of his vegitbles... He stiffened. "AT LEAST IM NOT AFRAID TO SLEEP WITH HER!" he shouted at the top of his lungs. Then- the silence as he covered his mouth; he revealed his secret to him... he clenched his teeth and darted his eyes back and fourth, hoping only they were the ones that heard. Edward smiled and slid back around. "HAH! And to think, you lied to me before about not liking her." He headed off again. "Naw, I'm not going to bother with you, besides, this news has put me in a good mood, I can't fight you like this." He smiled as he walked, waving two fingers back in a mock salute. "Just think, the faster I find Kiri for you, the faster me and Shiba can go home, and the faster we can find a house...." He looked back. "Together." |

"Hey, I never said I didnt like her.... you never asked if i loved her though..." He watched as the older Elric walked off...very adult like not to fight. He relaxed and smiled. I looked up from the ground and smiled as he said that to Roy.. I...was so proud that he had stood up for himself...somewhat... and decided not to fight anyway. I waved to Roy, smiling, and ran off to catch up with Edward. Roy sighed and snapped, making the wall collapse back to the dirt it was created from and scooped up his things and only smiled to himself as he walked to the waiting Porsche. "Smooth" she said as he climbed inside. "Not a word." |

I sighed and looked to the gonging clock; it was 3 am. Though we took a rather long nap, I was tired and I showed it. I yawned, stretching my legs and arms and then drooping over the bench. Edward smirked and looked over, his smile all of a sudden fading. "Shane." He said. "That's what has me worried, we brought her back and her memories are still adjusting, she mistook Scar for this 'Shane' person....it seems likely that she knew him before she came back here." He looked over with a sort of smile and placed his hand on her shoulder. "Look, we're not getting anywhere like this, how about we go back and you rest a little, we can always come back out here later and pick up where we left off." ((Oh how I've missed you!! *glomp*)) |

I giggled and looked to him, entering the hotel's entrance. "Why would i tell Roy?" I sighed, approaching the door to our room. "Ill hold you against that you know." I said, running my hand over the back of his neck and turinging the key opening the door to the empty, dark room. |

He shrugged and smiled, looking off to one side. "Oh no reason, just got to cover my bases." He smiled. "That's fine by me....just fine by me." The roof was the perfect vantage point, nevermind that it was the Central office buliding where she'd awoken just a few hours earlier. Kiri sighed, sucking in a deep breath of night air. "I hope you guys don't hold this against me..." She said out loud to the sky. "But I don't belong there...or here.....I'm not sure if I belong anywhere anymore...and there's no way I'm going back in there." She looked below her as though she'd be able to see that damp, dark basement again...fuleing her fear of it even more. "I just can't." |

I yawned and closed the door behind me and switched on the lamp beside the bed. I looked to him with heavy eyes and yawned again. "I cant stop yawning..." I said though a yawn. I pulled off my jeans and rummaged though my bag for my shorts. "I hope she comes back to us... I hope she realizes what we have to go through without her cooperation..." I found the shorts and pulled them on. I turned my back to him and pulled off my shirt then bra and slipped on a loose fitting t-shirt. I plopped down onto the bed and looked to him. "I just hope we didnt make a mistake in reviving her..." |

Edward sat on the edge of the bed, and jerked his shoes and socks off, throwing his coat onto his own bed. He sighed and shrugged. "I can't honestly say I know what she's going to do." He looked over and smiled. "You just worry about sleeping right now...she can't get very far just on her own two legs you know." He turned to the window and paused. "Do you really think that? That it was a mistake to bring her back?" |

I looked over at him as he sat down and I sighed. He sat in his black tank and leather pants with his belt still on. "I can only hope she doesnt make any mistakes she'll regret..." I placed my glasses on the night stand and ran my fingers though my teal hair, closing my eyes. "If she had help, or if she was...kidnapped, she wouldnt be on only her two legs and alone..." I brought my legs up onto the bed and slipped them under the light blanket. "I am just hoping she doesnt do anything to make us regret bringing her back... I dont want her to die again....I just want her to live a long...happy, normal life..." I snuggled into the pillow and still looked to him. |

"That I'm sure she won't do...not if she remembers half the crap that happened to her before." He shook his head...that....that was unlikely...wasn't it? He hoped so, he hadn't seen much of Tucker after the transmutation...so he hoped he was long gone by then. He shrugged out of his shirt and flopped beside Shiba. "Unless she feels threatened...I'm sure she'll be fine....I hope." He looked off to the side, tucking his hands under the back of his head as he lay on his back and sighed. "And I hope for our sake...we find her soon." Kiri hopped down the last few feet of the building and headed into an alleyway just off the side of the building, she'd head for the outskirts and then...then...she didn't know where....just as long as she wasn't here she'd be fine. |

"I just hope youre right..." I snuggled up to his side, bringing my arm over his waist and yawned, resting my hea don his breast. "I hope...youre right..." Inside the cellar of Roys office, Tucker still sat, cradling his lifeless Nina under the dim red light of the glowing red water, waiting for Roy, or the two that revived Kiri, to return soon... He smiled with a nod and curled an arm around her shoulders. "Just rest for now.....that's all we can do." Kiri darted along the dark streets and stopped whenever something spooked her...she smiled when she saw the line of trees that waited for her just a few yards away. "Trees.." She breathed, trees meant water, water meant safety, she smiled and raced into the undergrowth dissapearing into the darkness with only a slight shake of the bushes. |
I slowly opened my eyes being blinded by the sun peering through the partially opened blinds. I rolled over, snuggling my face into Ed's ribs, letting out a moan as my cold face hit his toasty warm back under the blankets we shared. An arm still over him I worked to get back to sleep; the early morning sun was not all to inviting...

Edward smiled, Shiba had slept so soundly..he let out a slight sigh, lucky her...he was wide awake as he had been for most of the night, what little sleep he did get was haunted by nightmares....of what had happened to Kiri before..and worries about what might happen now.
He looked over at Shiba's fussy face as she snuggled close to him and he let himself enjoy a small quiet laugh. She'd hit him if he told her she was adorable when she didn't want to wake up, he knew that...so he kept it to himself and looked to the window and sighed...daylight was burning. Kiri's back was killing her by the time the sun rose up enough to hit her as she lay on the banks of the river. She rose with a grumble and sighed. "I'd forgot how annoying this is." She rolled over and looked at herself in the water's reflection. Her hair was messy and her face smudged with dirt and whatever else that she didn't care to know about. She huddled into Edward's jacket and stood. She'd better get a move on if she was going to make it anywhere today.....She gave a longing look back and sighed. "So long..." She whispered as she started walking. |
I slowly opened my eyes and leaned up to look at Edward. He was awake. I smiled at him.
"Goodmorning sunshine. Did you sleep well?" I laid my head on his arm and twirled an index finger though his loose hair. His eyes looked so heavy, but warm as he gazed out the window. |
