"Childish, yes. You and Shiba are nothing but two love struck teenagers who are too afraid to admit anything to one another. And, forbidden? May i go there? Heh. You are the one who started the trend of breaking the Laws of Alchemy, or did you forget the painful loss of your mother and right arm? And lets not forget the flesh body of your littler brother...YOU are the one who started it all, and will continue the journey on...as soon as I get the little brat back..." He sighed and swiftly put his posed fingers in Ed's face.
"You are a fire hazard now. Hold your tongue, and remember that." He stood up, and looked to Armstrong. "Take him to his cell." Armstrong had been quiet the whole time; he was disciplined before about stepping into Roy's affairs. He sighed and obeyed, pushing Edward out of the room, and down a staircase outside Roys office. |
"Shut UP!" Edward cried surging forward.
"We paid the price for that! We paid it, Kiri paid it, Scar paid it, everyone of us, you're the only one who has yet to pay your dues Mustang!" He glared at the hand in front of him. "Try it.." He challenged just before Armstrong drug him out of the room. "You've got to deal with equivalant exchange sometime ROY! ROY!!!" |
Roy sat at his desk, the words of Edward echoing in his mind and he slammed a fist into the desk as Riza walked in. He looked up, she smiled warmly and handed him a warm cup of coffee. He stood without a word and kissed her deeply.
SLAM Armstrong put Ed in his prison, no different than a normal prison, and slammed the door shut, locking it. He about faced and stopped for a second. "I would not fight or struggle with the Colonial, Edward. He's...been on a rampage lately, and you are the reason behind it." he stepped out. I heard the echo of the slam and then the door shutting and I yelled from my cell, "Edward? where are you?" There was 3 empty cells between us. "Whew, finally, my butt was starting to fall asleep" Winry joked, stepping off the train in central. "Whew, where to first?" She looked to Alphonse, who had known this place far better than she. |
Edward got up from where he'd fell on the floor, and raced back against the bars.
"Do you think I care about that Major?" He hissed. "Roy needs to get that bug out of his ass. Now wether that's me, Shiba or Kiri that does it...that's up to him...but I don't think the water bug's going to be very leinient in her puishment." He turned hearing Shiba. "Shiba?! I'm over here.." He pressed his arm through the bars and waved. "Can you see?" He asked, his voice echoing in the stark silence. Kiri stepped off the platform and looked around. "Let's...." She started wandering around....something wasn't right...most of the soldiers she saw were edgier than usual....she set her gaze and took off. "Sorry!" She called behind her. "There's something I need to check! I'll find you guys later!" She raced to the hotel and pounded inside, racing up to the desk. "Excuse me....is the room leased out to either Edward Elric, or Roy Mustang still in use?" She asked her chest heaving. Her answer was one she didn't want to hear. "No sweetheart, they checked out this morning...seems the two were arrested and taken to Central Headquarters." Kiri let out a sharp curse and shot out of the building. |
"Edward..." I said softly, only barely seeing his bright hair though the darkness.
"Do.. you think we're gonna be locked up in here forever?" i asked, tears rolling down my cheeks. The cold concrete under me was not friendly, nor the bed very welcoming with its stained sheets and the stand alone toilet in the corner making a running sound, and dripping from its pipes. "Ed...Im scared. I wanna go home, to North City..." I sniffed. Winry's eyes widened as Kiri took off, She ran after her but was not as in shape as she had used to be. "Alphonse?" She looked to him, panting. "Where is she going? We need to find her before she gets in trouble or hurt! What in the world has gotten into her?" |
"There's no way that we're staying in here forever.." He reassured her.
"Just you wait....we'll get out...somehow...Then I'll personally take you back to North City...how about that?" He tried to smile...but the concrete was less than lightening to his mood. "Damn the Colonel..." Alphonse stared after her....and then turned back to smile at Winry. "Ah, she probably knows this city better than we do...and like she said...she'll catch up to us later, right? She'll be fine..." He hoped... Kiri dashed along the streets, till she saw it....that damnable building that she'd come out of that night....she only prayed that her hunch was correct as she headed up the steps.. |
Riza had left Roy to himself in his lone office in the upper most part of the building. The burning sunset was shining in though his massive window, warming his back though his blue jacket. He was actually doing paperwork in the silence of the dusk, still sipping, his coffee.
I shook my head, lowering my body. "Im not leaving without you... I dont ever want to be without you again Edward, do you hear me?" I looked up at him into his eyes, from what i could see 3 cells apart. Winry rubbed her eyes and looked to the sunset. "Well, we could always go check into the finest hotel in town, whaddya say?" she smiled cat-like, poking him in the ribs with her elbow softly. "Ooorrr.... we could go shopping!!!" Her eyes sparkled as she folded her hands and drifted into a dreamy state |
Kiri hurried inside the bulding...her frantic eyes searching everywhere for a sign...anything that would lead her to that Mustang man...he would know where Edward and Shiba went...she almost guaranteed he had something to do with their arrest..
"I know..." He chuckled. "I don't want to leave you either....Shiba...I'm sorry though....that you're stuck in here with me..." Alphonse laughed a little. "I know what you want.." He said. "Alright, let's go shopping.." He was going to regret that...he just knew it.. |
Armstrong was standing next to the front desk when the small, frantic child came rushing in. He walked up to her, smiling and sparkling.
"Well, aren't you a cutie! Did you lose your way? Can I help you with something?" he said in the sweetest voice he could, kneeling down beside her. He didnt know much about the experiment, but only knew to keep it hush. He did seem to recognize this girl from someplace... I shook my head, keeping my eyes hidden under my bangs. "We resurrected her together, and we will fall together for letting her escape. I will never leave you, if given the option at all. i just wish we were together, but I know Roy did this on purpose." Winry squeaked and led him away by the hand. "This is gonna be great!!!" [we can leave them alone here, 3 scenes is too much x.x'] |
Kiri turned, she snarled and gripped the Major's uniform with a iron fist.
"You..." She muttered quietly. "Take me to the Mustang man..I want to know where Edward and Shiba are..." He sighed... "Yeah...if only I could punch him one good time for that too..." He rubbed the bridge of his nose and slammed his hand against the iron bars of his cell. (Lol Alright) |
He was brought back by the young girls brutality and fire in her voice.
"Mustang..? How do you know Ed and..." his eyes widened. "Kiri..." he muttered, his mouth ajar under his blond stache. "How...?" He looked back and fourth; alot of the people in Central STILL talk about the death of her and he scooped her up under his arm and held her firmly. "Shh... I will take you to him. Do not struggle." A few men looked to him curiously and he waved, sparkles spewing from nowhere. "Whos that girl, Major?" He laughed and lifted her over his head. "This, gentlemen is, the sweetheart friend of Elisia's, he is taking her to Mrs. Hughes today, so we'll just be on our way..." I looked to him and sighed. "Theres nothing we can do, but wait." |
She glowered as she was tucked under his great arm.

Finally outside the door of Mustangs office, he knocked. From within, a voice. "What?" He put Kiri down. "There's someone here to see you sir." "I'm busy." |
"You don't have time to be busy you horse's ass!" Kiri hissed pressing her head against the wood.
"You better open up this damnable door before I BREAK. IT. DOWN." She knocked lightly against the door her face smiling grimly. "I'm here to find out what happened to Shiba and Edward!" |
Roys eyes widened at the small, familiar voice that came from outside. He jumped from his chair and opened it up, seeing Armstrong, then the child only as high as his mid- though.
"K-Kiri?!" He grinned. "Please come in" he stepped aside. |
She growled low, stepping inside, her hands high enough so that if she needed to..she could defend herself...she did not trust this man...but she needed to talk to him.
"Tell me..." She demanded. "What you did with Shiba and Edward..." She stopped in the middle of the room, her blue eyes icy and narrow. "Where are they Mustang? I went back to the Hotel and they told me that they were arrested....Why?" |
He smiled and sat back down in his chair, folding his hands under his chin.
"Why, for concealing my property, hiding it from me, and keeping it from me. Its called theft, my young dear. They did not want to give you back, so I had to choice but to lock them up for treason, disobeying my orders to follow their own goals. Because of that, Shiba lost the beginning fortune to her precious home financing, and her dreams are probably crushed of becoming free and with the eternal happiness of her lover. Edward lost his chance of ever being completely free from the military. He now has no choice but to serve under me, or remain in prison forever. Does thats until all up for you, my dear?" he poured himself a glass of Jack Daniles. Armstrong stood beside the door, having to enter and keep guard. He had been quiet and reserved the whole time, only listening intently. |
"Mustang!" She snarled.
"I'm not your property! I am a Life! Damned as I am! I am a LIFE! You cannot own that!" Kiri stood straight her back ridgid. "Give them their freedom...and all that was promised them....they did not steal me as you say...I ran from them....I ran out of confusion...out of fear...but I came back....so that negates their crimes..." |
He stared at her.
"I AM WELL AWARE THAT YOU ARE A LIFE! I AM YOUR CURATOR, YOUR....rebirth father. Without me, the funds of the military, and the talents of Ed and Shiba you would still be floating beyond the gates of hell. Dont you forget that." He replied to her sternly, taking the shot. He shook his head. "How do i know youre telling the truth?" |
"I WOULD STILL BE WITH MY OTHER FAMILY IF IT WERN'T FOR YOU!" She cried her volume matching his own.
"I had a brother, a mother, a father! They all cared for me! YOU brought me back here! I can't even go see my only family for fear they'll die if I do!" Her eyes were welling with tears now..her hands fell limp by her side. "What end would I have in mind if I lied to you?" She asked. "A deal then....my freedom for theirs......" Her voice echoed in the quiet of the room. "What say you...Roy Mustang....Flame Alchemist?" |
"WHAT OTHER FAMILY! YOU HAVE NO FAMILY! YOURE A HOMON---" He caught himself and lowered his voice.
"There is no life after death. It was only a dream. This is all real." He sat back down and sighed, rubbing his eyes. "Why should I? How do I know if you have your powers or not? Or Scar is not waiting somewhere to bail you out. Its too easy." |
She set her face.
"Fine..." She walked over, grabbed the bottle of liqour and poured it all out into the floor. With a clap, she knelt and sucked it all back up into a swirling mass around her arm...she glared. "There...now you know...I'm the same as then..." She let the liquid slide from her hands, and back into the floor. "Aniki...isn't here....I wouldn't put him in any danger....it would be a suicide mission if he were to come here now..." She looked hard at him. "Do we have a deal or NOT!?" She was repenting for her stupidity one way or another....even if she had to break them out herself.. |
His eyes watched her and he sighed, having failed at bringing her back as a human, as he'd hoped he had done. He rubbed his eyes.
"That was my last bottle, yah runt..." He sighed, looking to Armstrong, who only stared in bewilderment. He waved Armstrong over with a finger. "Cuff her. Take her to cell #2, and bring Edward up to me first. I need to speak with him alone." He looked to Kiri. "If you want to live though these procedures, you had better cooperate." |
She smiled grimly.
"Why don't you offer up a collar and leash while you're at it?" she offered. She turned to the Major and sighed. "Here..." She held out her hands. "I'll behave...as long as you hold your end of the deal..." Edward sighed against his cold cage...till he heard the door open again. "??" He strained to see. "Major?" He asked. "Just us dogs...Edward..." "Kiri!?" |
He shook his head.
"Stop it now. You treat me with respect, I will treat you with the same. I keep my promises as long as my promise-sees keep their end." Major Armstrong looked down at her and nodded, putting the alchemy-preventing cuffs on her and led her into the cellar of Central HQ. I sat up, hearing the door open as well and hearing Edward cry out Kiri's name. "Kiri? Shes here?" |
