Harry sighed. Just like his friends to overhear something he'd intended to be private. That was the problem—and also the blessing—of having close friends like his four. He supposed they deserved to know what he knew about Snape. Soon enough, after all, the entire Wizarding world might know. That was a bit off-putting.
But still... "I can't explain now," he said quietly, indicating with his head the crowded Great Hall. "I'll explain in the common room tonight, okay? But—I know that Snape didn't exactly murder Dumbledore. Dumbledore knew he was dying long before." He hoped that would satisfy their curiosity.
Anyway, classes were starting soon, and McGonagall would be heading down to distribute schedules soon, he hoped.
