Isis looked up when Zarrah entered the room. She watched her incline her head to Life before going into the fridge. She found it a little odd that she would choose the spot next to Lost when there were plenty of free chairs near Life. But, she said nothing. Isis gave The pale doll a small, friendly smile and turned back to look at Life only to find him standing and smiling tightly. "Yes, tomorrow. Until then Life." She said as she watched him go. Zarrah got up and moved as soon as Life left. Something was, or had gone on between them. It seemed that neither one really liked each other, though Isis supposed they had never really spoken since the Others had arrived.

Isis let out a small squeak in surprise. he hadn't expected Lost to pull her out of her own seat and onto his lap. He was holding her in a death grip, but she just had to smile and chuckle softly. He was probably so relieved to have his brother gone. The dark hands that rested across her, Isis gently ran her hands over them in a soothing motion. "I'm proud of you Lost. You were really good today." She told him, a smile on her face. The energy surrounding him seemed to be happy, and that made Isis reciprocate those feelings.

Lost smiled, breathing out his reply. "I only did it for you." But there was no doubt that he was happy to have spoken to Life once again in a civil manner. It had only required a bit of prompting to get the event to happen. Now he only had to wait until morning . . . which seemed so very far away. It would take a lot of distraction to keep his mind off of the coming event.
Standing, carefully allowing Isis to do so as well, the youth let her go and glanced at Zarrah before slipping his hand into Isis' and gently pulling her toward the door. "It's about to rain," Lost stated when they passed the front door. His black eyes moved to the girl he drew along, and he tilted his head slightly. She was frightened of storms, that he remembered.
Instead of his room, Lost led them to hers. Though, instead of leaving her at the door (as any socially adapted individual might have) the doll stepped into the room with her, giving her hand a squeeze. He wouldn't be leaving her alone while the storm raged - not on his life.
Pulling Isis to him, Lost reached up to touch her face gingerly before leaning down to press his lips to hers. You don't need to be afraid. I'm here.

Isis smiled and took his hand. She said a quickl good bye to Zarrah before following Lost out the door. "A s-storm?" She asked, stumbling over the word. Her face flushed in embarrassment as she remembered how he had found her in her closet hiding. Isis had been execting him to lead her to his room, but instead he went to her own room. She was happy that he entered the room with her. She didn't want to have to hide in her closet, and she didn't want to be all alone either. It seemed that as soon as they closed the door to her room, the thunder started to roll. Its low rumble growing louder. Isis let out a small sound, her eyes filling with tears. As she looked up into Lost's eyes, Isis felt a nice calm settle over her. Her eyes closed when his lips met hers.

The youth lifted Isis off of the floor, carrying her toward the bed. Sitting on the edge, Lost held her in his lap as he scooted back until they were in the middle of the blankets. "Don't be scared," he whispered into her hair, rubbing her arm and back slowly. The rumbling of thunder increased, and the dark-skinned doll kissed Isis' temple when she shuddered.
For many minutes, Lost merely held Isis, and then he began to hum, just as he had through the last storm. You'll be alright. I won't let anything happen to you.

((Well. The night will pass quickly. lol, they're so cute.))

Isis shuddered at the sound of the thunder, though with Lost there she felt so much better. It was a wonder she had ever gotten through the storms before. Isis took his words to heart, believing them and him one hundred percent. She concentrated on his humming, the tune vaguely familiar. She soon realized that it was the same tune from the last storm. She smiled and closed her eyes, listening only to him.

((Hahah, Life, Lost, and Lust. Nice. *laugh*))

Humming through most than half the night, Lost moved to lean back against the headboard. He comforted Isis until she drifted off, and ended up falling asleep himself. The thunder rolled on, but Lost was far too tired to notice. Subconsciously keeping his arms wrapped about the girl, he left the world of the living and entered his own dreams.

((Hah, well, from here it will be morning, unless you want to do something between now and then.))

((Yeah, I know right? It's so confusing sometimes.))

Isis fell asleep listening to Lost hum. She could no longer hear the thunder, for which she was happy. When the first rays of light came in through the curtains, Isis could hear the birds chirping happily outside. The storm was over. Isis opened her eyes to find herself looking at Lost's chest. She had turned over in her sleep and had cuddled closer to him. He seemed to still be asleep, so she wouldn't wake him up.

"I want her back."

Lost shifted in his sleep, unaware of the morning's call.

"You're delaying her."
The dark-skinned doll looked around, finding only the same darkness in all of his dreams. Who was speaking? Looking harder, he saw a girl - Calla?

Humming in confusion, the youth frowned, shifting once again. Still he did not wake. The girl in his dreams didn't allow him to.

Just as Lost stepped toward her, the girl backed away. "I'm going to take her from you, just as you have taken her from me."
Confused, the male tilted his head. "Why?"
With a sense of dread, Lost felt the world collapse around him. The ground disappeared beneath him, the darkness becoming all too cold - he couldn't breathe. Struggling to break away from the web of frigid darkness that coated him, Lost cried out . . . for Isis.

Though he hadn't waken, Lost writhed, pulling himself away from Isis. Her name left his lips as a plea, his temperature dropping dramatically. Gasping as breathing became difficult, Lost fought to keep from falling - if he did, then death would win. I can't leave Isis.

Isis woke up to the sound of her name being called out. A frown marred her features as Lost moved away from her in his sleep. Something was wrong, and she didn't know what it was. Sitting up, Isis turned to face Lost, taking a hold of his shoulders. "Lost...Lost! It's just a nightmare. Please, wake up." She said, repeating these words over again. The only thing she could think of was that he was dreaming something bad. The last time this had happened to her, Isis had been dreaming of Calla. Maybe this was what he was dreaming of. In her dream, Lost had been suffering at the hands of her sister, and Isis hadn't been able to do anything about it. But, it was just a dream right? All she had to do was wake him up.

Suddenly hands clasped on his shoulders. At first, he saw Calla. But the touch wasn't cold, as he'd thought it would be. Instead, it was warm, comforting. When he heard the voice that accompanied the hands, Lost shot awake, his black eyes focusing on Isis' face slowly. One hand moving to her cheek and the other to cover one of hers, the dark-skinned youth felt warmth returning to his form.
"Isis," Lost repeated, this time it was a sigh of relief. I thought she was going to hurt you. But dreams don't hurt people . . . right? The thought made the youth pause, and his ragged breathing caught for a painful second. I can't live without her. Yanking Isis into a firm embrace, Lost held her close. "Love you," he whispered, giving her a gentle squeeze and rubbing her back as though to ensure that she was really there.
Calla had been so . . . tangible. Like she was really there, really speaking to him. And threatening him. Breathing in Isis' scent, Lost knew that he would never let her go - not if he could help it.

((That would be so freaking creepy . . . I'd freak out. It's like a dream that could kill you. Perhaps that is the only way that the dead dolls can communicate with the living . . . through dreams? :XD))

Isis felt relief was over her when Lost came out of the dream. "Yes, it's me." She said, as if to confirm that he was in fact awake. She made a small squeak in surprise at being crushed to him as Lost hugged her to him. Had his dream been that bad? Did he think she was going to be here? Isis didn't know what he had seen in his dream, but she knew for a fact that she didn't like it one bit. He had grown so cold to the touch, it had scared her. The sound of his voice when he had called out her name, truly frightening. "What was it Lost? What did you see?"

[[Yes, I know. Very creepy if you ask me. I think I would have past out or something. Maybe once they die, depending on what they want, the dolls become a tad bit evil, in Calla's case, a bit more than others. She is not the same doll she used to be. Maybe she could be a little bitter.]]

At first, Lost shook his head, pulling away a bit. But then he slowly began to describe his dream in broken sentences. Calla was an addition to what he usually saw . . . darkness was nothing new. "I thought she would hurt you," the dark-haired doll said in a whisper, coughing quietly.
Glancing at the window, he saw the sunlight and blinked slowly. Morning already? It didn't feel like it should be that time so soon. Rubbing Isis' hand softly, he let his black eyes move back to her face, where he hungrily took in every detail about her. Life popped into his mind, making Lost frown as he remembered that he'd meet his brother later on - soon, now that it was morning.

((A good idea. Since the Dead have no tangible form, they begin to lose their minds as well, perhaps. :) Sorry about that. I totally like . . . puppetted your character. :XD I automatically figured that since she wants Isis to join her, she would be a bit tweaked. Hope I'm not messing anything up for you. *cough*))

[No worries. I think you play Calla better than I would have anyway. I think you have some good ideas as well, so I really don't mind at all.]

Isis listened to him, her eyes widening in shock. The Calla she knew would never hurt anyone. Maybe being dead did that to a doll. Tears came to her eyes as she thought of her sister. "The Calla I know...knew...she would never do anything to hurt any one. I don't...I don't think she's my sister anymore..." Isis would never doubt Lost, she knew he would tell her the truth. He wasn't lying about Calla. If he thought Calla would hurt her, than it must be true.

Lost met Isis' gaze with a sympathetic expression within his own black orbs, and the doll hugged his friend once again before pulling away a bit. "Hungry?" he asked quietly, not wishing to dwell on something that they had no chance of changing. Certainly their dreams were just a coincidence . . . right? I mean, one didn't simply communicate with other dolls through nighttime visions . . . did they?
Slowly getting out of bed and letting the real world readjust around him, Lost slipped his cool fingers between Isis', gently giving her a tug in the door's direction. He heard his own stomach growl softly, and let a slight smile cross his features as he coughed, knowing that he needed to eat before even starting to sing with Life.
Opening the door, Lost pulled the young woman after him until they reached the kitchen, where Zarrah sat at the table devouring some pancakes. Her blue eyes flit up to them, and she nodded, but then returned to her food.
The dark-skinned doll gave Isis' hand a squeeze before stepping up to the counter and using the leftover batter to start a couple pancakes for the two of them.
Life would be waiting in the upstairs music room when they were finished.

Isis smiled and nodded. She laughed softly when Lost's stomach grumbled. She let him pull her from her room, knowing that it wouldn't do to dwell on anything concerning Calla at that moment. Upon seeing Zarrah, Isis gave to doll a friendly smile before sitting down across from her. She rested her chin on her good hand and watched as Lost made them some pancakes as well. Isis couldn't wait to hear Lost sing. Isis started to drift off into a day dream, watching Lost cook.

(( How cute. :P Ooooh, what team are you? Gasket, or Sprocket?))

Lost finished making a few pancakes for each of them, grabbing one large plate to put them all on at once. Snagging a couple forks, he moved to sit beside Isis, reaching for the syrup as well. There was already a bit of butter on top, so that was taken care of. As he scooted the single shared plate to the place between them, Lost glanced at Zarrah, a slight frown on his face. For once, he actually initiated the conversation.
"You know Life?" he asked, taking the first bite of his food. The blue haired girl glanced up from her own breakfast to nod once, glaring back down at her plate. Then the silence set in. Until Lost broke it once again. "Do you want to come?"
Zarrah lifted her head again, tilting it in a bird-like motion. "Where? And why would I?"
Lost glanced at Isis before mentioning the music upstairs. The words brought a strange expression to the pale doll's face, and she eventually nodded grudgingly. "I'll go." She liked music enough to follow them. Besides . . . she wanted to see Life make a fool out of himself.

Isis snapped back into reality and blushed before sitting up a little straighter. She had been staring off into space ad hoped that he hadn't noticed. Isis took one of the forks and was just about to take a bite when Lost spoke. Her eyebrows shot up in surprise. He had been the one to start the conversation. Isis's jaw dropped and the piece of pancake fell off her fork. It was just too strange, though she was incredibly proud of him.

Blinking, Isis shook her head and turned to look at Zarrah. "Y-Yes, please come with us. I'm sure you'll have a good time." Isis then picked up the piece of pancake she had dropped and popped it into her mouth. Lost was a great cook. Even if it was just a simple plate of pancakes, they were just amazing.

"Alright," Zarrah said stiffly, shrugging. "I'll go."
Lost let his gaze drop to the pancakes, and he continued eating until his side of the plate was empty and he was full. After that, he waited for Isis to finish her food before taking the plate to the counter. When he got back to the table, he had a glass of milk - which he drank half of before passing it to Isis. Wiping a bit of the pale liquid off of his face, the doll looked back to Zarrah, who was already waiting by the door. She seemed more eager to leave than he was. . . .

Isis nodded and continued to eat her side of the pancakes. She ate most of them and pushed the plate away once she was full. She smiled thankfully up at Lost when He handed her the glass of milk. She drank the half he had left her before getting up to put it into the sink. T hey could come back later to wash the dirty dishes. Isis was surprised to find Zarrah waiting for them at the door. "Are we ready to go?" She asked Lost as she took his hand into her own.

With a slightly uncertain expression, Lost nodded. "Yes." It wasn't long before he was leading both girls through the house, drawing them to an upstairs room. As they filed through the narrow hallway that ended in a long set of stairs, the haunting notes of a piano filtered down to them.
With a small sigh, the dark-haired doll led Zarrah and Isis onward until they reached an old door. Upon entering, Lost frowned slightly. Life was seated where he always ended up - the piano. To his right was a small music stand, a violin laying on the piano's surface nearby.
As soon as the trio entered, Life's white eyes widened, and he smiled a bit. "Here to watch us make some noise?" he asked in a friendly tone, laughing before turning around to face them. Lost slowly let go of Isis' hand, forcing himself up to the violin. It had been so long since he'd last touched it, but the feel was still so familiar. . . .
While his brother reacquainted himself with his instrument, Life merely told Isis and Zarrah of how they had been brought to life, and then they had practiced music day after day together. It seemed that it might happen again.
A clear note from the violin brought Life's attention back to Lost, who had turned his back to the others so he could concentrate; so he could forget he was being watched. It wasn't long before the dark-skinned youth was moving through a song tentatively, as though stepping onto a bit of unsteady ground. As the notes went on, Lost seemed to relax a bit, and slowly turned toward his brother - who immediately began playing the counter of the piece. The skill, no matter how rusty, was apparent - they had played this together too many times to forget it. Even after the few years that separated them.
After the first song, Lost set down the violin, glanced at Isis, and cleared his throat. Blushing heavily, the tall male took a few steadying breaths while Life grinned, beginning on a work that was obviously familiar to the both of them. Music flit through the room, a slower song for the most part.

((Hehe, yeah, I like Richard Marx . . . so that's who he sounds like. :XD))

Isis squeezed Lost's hand before letting it go. She gave Life a smile as well before taking a seat next to Zarrah. Isis had no idea what to expect, but she was hoping for the best. Life and Lost were wonderful together. It was surprising to see the two siblings playing together, even if it was just music. It was easy to tell that they had done this many times before and that even though they hadn't spoken in years, they had never forgotten this. Isis smiled encouragingly. She could tell Lost was a little nervous, so she hoped he was going to be all right. She was floored when he opened her mouth and sang. His voice was absolutely amazing. Her face heated slightly, her cheeks turning pink. His voice was dreamy. Isis caught herself before she sighed happily.

((Hahah, how cute. :)))

Slowly fading into something else as Lost found his voice trying to give out on him, the two brothers did as they had done multiple times before - another instrumental.
Glancing to Isis, Zarrah was awestruck. Who would have known? It made the doll want to join them . . . but she had no talent in the musical arts. But, could that change? Thinking through the entire time that they were in the room, the blue-haired doll eventually convinced herself of one thing: she would ask Life to teach her to play.
-

Lost turned his black eyes to Isis a few times while he sang, his blush making his dark skin even more so. From the expression on her face, she was enjoying this. A lot. By the time the two brothers were back to instruments, Lost couldn't help but watch Isis. She was so happy. It was . . . adorable.
After many minutes of playing, Lost let his violin fall silent. Gently placing it back on top of the piano, the dark-skinned doll moved to sit beside Isis, finally unable to resist the call to be near her again. Taking her hand in his tightly, the blush stayed on his face - though the embarrassment died away.
"Like?" he asked quietly, coughing after the single word.

Isis was thinking along the same lines as Zarrah. She longed to join the brothers, but she had nothing to give in the musical department. Maybe she could ask Lost to teach her. Yes, she would ask him that sometime soon. She smiled as he sat next to her. She was blushing as well, though she couldn't help herself. It seemed as though she was starstruck at the moment. "You were amazing Lost. You and Life were wonderful together, honestly." She kissed his cheek. "I didn't like it at all Lost...I loved it. You really are amazing. Why didn't you ever tell me you could sing? That talent isn't something you should be hiding."

"I didn't like it at all Lost."
For a moment, the youth felt his spirits dip.
"I loved it."
His blush from when she kissed his cheek got darker, and the youth couldn't help but smother Isis in a hug, adding a deep kiss in there as well. "Glad," he rasped, coughing. This was one of the reasons he didn't sing often - his cough got worse afterward. The original intention Mother had was to help Lost's voice, but it never truly helped him. It certainly did make him feel better in spirits, and he really did miss it - now that he thought about it.
Resting his head on top of Isis', the dark-skinned youth forced himself to breathe steady so he could stop coughing.
-

Zarrah silently stood, moving over to sit beside Life on the piano bench. The pale doll looked startled, but they were soon talking in hushed tones - most likely about the music that had just paused. A few minutes later, Life nodded, and pointed out a few keys - Zarrah's gloved hands moved where they were told. Lesson one had already started. It wasn't long before minor notes and scattered blips of tune began to echo through the upstairs room.

Isis saw something in his eyes change when she had started saying she didn't like his singing. She giggled softly when he smothered her with a hug. She loved his hugs. They made her feel safe, and Isis liked that feeling. The kiss was definitely welcomed. He seemed to be able to make her forget everything when he kissed her. Yes, it sounded a little cheesy, but it was how he made her feel. Isis returned it full forced but found that she needed air far too quickly. She had figured Lost needed it as well. If he didn't slow his breathing, he would continue to cough like a mad man. She wrapped her arms around his middle and rested there in his arms. Her eye drifted over to the two pale dolls now sitting at the piano. It was a strange sight to see Life and Zarrah sitting so close together, but it would be good for the both of them to get along better. And, Zarrah was good at playing the piano too, even if she was just learning. Maybe she could get Lost to teach her the violin. She had always thought of playing an instrument, but she just never followed through with it. Now that she knew what Lost could do, she would ask him. But for now, she was just soaking up the moment.
