Beth stayed silent as the pain was unbearable enough to make it so she couldnt speak, just hiss every time he touched her wounds, especially the on that went over her shoulder. When he put the bandages on her she looked up at him. "Who was she? Do you know what happened to her?" It was in a silent croaked voice, but at least it broke the silence once more. It seemed that she loved to hear him talking. It was way too quiet, so his voice carried around the room. She tried to hold back the tears and show that she was strong for having just been whipped with knives. If they had gone any deeper, she wouldnt have survived. She was just happy that Venra had been standing as far back as she had been or this would have been so much worse than just her getting weaker and being in pain. She focused on the story the elf was telling her. It helped her relax and not flinch as much as she had when he started.
Shiloh glared at him as they released her from the wall. She fell into the pillows on her knees as if she couldnt stand. When she finally was able to breathe without getting hurt, she looked up at the two that were close enough to attack. The men could see what her intentions were but she didnt care. The only problem now was that she couldnt find the strength to attack them again. She leaned up against the wall and sat there with her legs in a meditating style as the tears still flowed like a river out of her eyes. It was surprising that she had any left. Now she just meditated where she was hoping that her magic would be able to take away the pain of breathing. The chains glowed stating that she was trying to use her magic on something.
Venra smiled at her lover. "Your so devious, its beautiful." The girl suffered from all the toying Lish was doing to her. She could see it. When he said she had impeccable timing she just smiled deviously. "Well i felt a wave of energy and I'm pretty sure the other two will not be disobeying me for a while. The woman will probably need medical attention she wont get from any of my people." The chains began to glow and she looked up at her other prey. "So the surge came from her did it? Thats good." She all of a sudden turned to Lish and began to kiss him, getting him to move back over to the bed. The guards began to move out of the room. The other two were already far enough away from Shiloh that they didnt have to be there.

Riya smiled as she felt his leather like scales, giggling when his tongue tickled her cheek smiling as she chuckled and watched the animals graze below them when he moved closer so that she could see them, smiling softly as she listened, thinking about what he was telling her, knowing that his words were true to her since she could feel it when he talked to her. "So then we both may be safe?" she said to him, the wind had stolen her voice away so it was a good thing that she was thinking it also, she shiftted some more, lossening her grip once more as she sat up once again, ready to cling to him if he did something to scare her like flip upside down. "I will try not to do anything that will get me harmed then."

((-__-' *sneaks back in and takes a seat before typing out a response* I am SO sorry, both of you! I haven't been online in a good 2-3 weeks because of an unexpected computer error. The thing finally gave out . . . but I've fixed it now!))
Fenris frowned, trying to conjure up the girl's name. "I don't remember," he said after a long pause. The thought was excruciating. The girl's name was on the tip of his tongue . . . but still out of reach. The elf distractedly finished cleaning Beth's back before he caught something glittering in the corner of her eye. "Hawke," Fenris carefully reached around the woman to wipe the tear away. He knew it hurt - but there was nothing he could do for her.
Suddenly aware of Beth's ragged clothing, the elf pulled a light sheet-like blanket from the nearby pile of bed clothing. Gingerly handing it to her, he helped her form it about her so she was safe from "improper exposure." Fenris' black gaze lingered on her features for a moment before moving in a caring manner once again. Rarely was he inclined to act nicely . . . or gently . . . but he was showing more care in that moment than he had for the entire time he'd known Hawke. Fenris shifted the pillows about so Hawke could lightly lay amongst them - something comfortable that didn't mess with her wounds would be all about her.
Instead of letting her go, he began to bandage her. "I'll kill her for what she's done to you," Fenris said, his calm demeanor emphasizing the fire in his pupil-less eyes. I can't stand seeing you hurt.
-
Lish concentrated on Venra's kisses, but he seemed unwilling to pursue them. "The chains will hold her power, then?" The merc leader cast a glance over to Shiloh as he caught one of Venra's kisses on the side of his mouth. Lish returned one before looking back to the tortured woman. "And she can't use extra power to break from them?" He knew of Fenris' purpose: it would be a disaster if he somehow got close enough for Shiloh to use his energy well.
As he was directed toward the bed, Lish ran an absent finger over Venra's lips. He wanted to be sure there was no risk of failure . . . not again.
-
Raziel seemed to smile - though it was hard to see on his serpentine features. The dragon slowly banked to avoid a cloud (he knew that they were not fluffy, but very moist) before thinking to Riya again. "I believe we may both avoid trouble. I will take us to the cavern that was once used for sanctuary - most dragons avoid it now." Hopefully that was still a true statement: who knew what had happened since Raziel left the land years prior?
The golden creature let out a dragon call before slowly gliding toward the ground. "I need a drink. We should both eat." As they came to the grassy turf Raziel shifted suddenly. His massive form shrunk, dropping Riya a few feet before a very human male caught her in his arms with a playful smile. "If you gather wood, I can get a fire started." He slung a tied bundle to the ground upon setting Riya down (he'd tied his clothing together . . . he knew his state would be embarrassing for poor Riya if he didn't bring clothing).
Without another word he untied the bundle and began to pull on clothing - he didn't seem too bothered by his lack of covering, though he did give Riya a mental warning not to turn around. He kept his shirt off in order to use it as a make-shift "bag" for the food he would gather.
"I'm going to forage. I know there are some fruit trees around here." Scenting the air, the tall youth smiled again. "Stay here near the stream, Riya." He didn't want her getting lost or harmed while he was gathering food.

(YAY!!! there was an unexpected computer error?)
Hawke tried to hold back the one tear that Fenris found falling from her eye. It was weird feeling him be so caring. And then there was the blushing she could feel heating up her back. He was blushing from her being basically half naked now. When he pulled the blanket over her, it felt nice against the skin that wasnt broken and bleeding. She kept it around the front of her so that she didnt feel a burn from the already burning wounds. As she lay down on the pillows Fenris set up for her, she hid her face from him and let the tears fall out of her eyes. It was too hard to hold all those tears inside, smothering her face just seemed like the most logical solution so that Fenris couldnt see her. He started to bandage her back up and say that he was going to kill Venra for what she did.
Venra looked at Lish then back at Shiloh, getting off of the man. "Those chains are reinforced but i dont know if its enforced enough to hold her for too long. We will probably have to break her quickly before she sets off another surge like that again. It wont hold for too much longer if she keeps up her use of magic." Her moment seemingly ruined between the two, she walked over to her work table and started to work on a couple projects she had to get done in order to sell. With a couple more bottles and vials capped off, she started to move the already full cart to the door. A couple people walked in and took the cart from her. "Well my love, I will have to leave you for a little while. If you ever take her out of those chains, my guards will change them to another set to hold her for a little longer. I need to go into town to sell some of these." With that, she walked out of the room with the others and closed the door. As she walked to her horse, her mind started to wander. Why was Lish more interested in the girl than he was in her? Was it really bugging her that much that he seemed to be toying with her again?
Shiloh continued to meditate. Unfortunately, the only thing she could feel was her lovers last couple of breaths. She wished he would have just left like she told him to rather than stay there in a death match with Lish where he got cut and poisoned. Why was she so weak? Why did she always pass out or get hurt enough to almost die when he needed her? It was just too much to bare. Hopefully she would be able to either get killed or escape to find him and maybe see if she could bring him back, or just bury him along with herself. Why did Lish only want to make her suffer and not kill her. He hated her with a passion. He should just kill her to get her out of his life already. Her breathing was slightly less painful and she realized that the chains were slowly losing their power.

Fenris stared thoughtfully at the door once he was finished with Hawke. She was bandaged lightly, resting with her face hidden in the pillows. The elf knew that she was hiding tears (for what else would she be doing?), but he said nothing. Instead, he forced himself to try and sort out the rush of strange memories that flickered through his mind. It was like reading snips from different books; like flashes of scenes that were both chaotic and strange to him.
Suddenly distracted by a single shuddering breath that Hawke took in, Fenris' black eyes traced over the fresh bandages worriedly. She was in pain. A surge of energy brightened his markings, and he wished he could do something more than just physical comfort for the woman. She needed something to take the pain away. The dark-skinned elf let out a quiet sigh before looking to the floor in front of him.
From where Fenris sat on the edge of the bed, he could see the remaining splatters of blood that had spilled from Beth's skin. Casting a glance over to where his friend lay, he stood and went about cleaning up the blood as best he could. The entire time he wiped away the cold liquid, the elf kept his mind on Venra. He would kill her - and that was a silent promise.
-
Lish nodded and watched Venra go about gathering her things. When she left, he sent a slight distracted smile after her before looking back to Shiloh. Though the girl looked calm, he knew that she was merely recharging and preparing herself. The mercenary leader sighed and slowly stepped toward her, calling out to the guards to gather new bindings that would hold her more thoroughly.
"How you came to love him, I'll never know." Lish's expression was serious once again. "He was a killer, Shiloh. Worse than me, even." Jarlaxle had been a different kind of insane - and it was one that was on the opposite spectrum from Lish's own psychotic ailment.
A pulse weakly throbbed in the back of Shiloh's mind; it was barely noticeable, but it was there.

The pulsing that came into the back of her mind forced her eyes open. Jarlaxle was alive! Her ears drowned out the sound of Lish's voice. With her eyes opened now, she could see that the man was right in front of her. When she saw him, her anger flared again. Before her eyes could start to glow, she looked up at him and stood, chains falling beside her. If she did one more giant burst of energy, she might be able to get out of the chains and find Jarlaxle. Her aura started to show, her eyes began to glow, the chains glowed brightly. The guards shielded their eyes as she focused on breaking the chain. As she spoke, her voice sounded like it doubled. "You could never understand something that is beyond your reach." The chains began to give way. The guards did the best they could to get close to them. One touched the chain and pulled his hand away quickly with a third degree burn. She smiled at his screams of pain. "We are alike in a way, him and I..." The chain broke around one link. With the break, she was given back the control over most of her powers. "Catch me if you can." With that the darkness swirled around her and she started to disappear. Her mind was completely focused on the location of her lover.
Hawke watched the man clean the blood once there was no more tears to cry. With his scars glowing, she felt energy flow back into her so that she could heal her wouds slightly. The blood could be felt spilling through the fresh bandages she had on them. She had to try something to heal herself. He had done all he could and she was trying to hide from him so he couldnt see her this way. It was disgraceful. She quickly started to see if she could heal herself with the wounds she had. As her wounds closed slowly, she shuddered her breath a little bit. With just breathing and healing, her concentration started to make her fall asleep again. Soon she passed out.

Lish hissed when the glow started, drawing back a step as it intensified. The merc leader snarled out an order to restrain Shiloh, but it ended up being futile - she was too energized for containment. The male's maroon eyes blazed with anger as she shirked her bonds.
"Catch me if you can."
"I'll never stop hunting you," he said in a quiet tone, his insanity fading once again. Now he just looked pissed. "I will kill you so slowly that you'll beg for death." Shifting into his realm of speed, he tried to get to Shiloh before she disappeared. It was too late: she faded into darkness just as Lish's blade passed through the smoke-like swirls. "No!"
It was time to hunt them down. The dragon could wait: they would find Shiloh first.
-
By the time Fenris had finished wiping away the traces of Hawke's torture session, the elf realized that she was asleep. Carefully checking her bandages, he found that she was healing swiftly. It must have had something to do with her mage abilities. For the first time in a while he recalled that she was, indeed, a mage. The thought roused a memory that made Fenris flinch and touch his forehead in pain.
Anders' cold smile met the boy's frightened gaze. "This is the one?"
A drow nodded, his single blue eye flicking over the mage uninterestedly. "I told you I would be quick. Yes, he's everything you've asked for."
Anders frowned and prodded Fenris' bruised shoulder with a finger. "No family?"
"None to speak of."
"Friends?"
Jarlaxle shrugged and tightened his grip on the child's other shoulder. "It can't be helped. No one will question his disappearance, I can assure you."
Anders chuckled. "Then let us show him to his room, shall we?"
As Fenris leaned his elbows against his knees, the elf raked his ungauntleted hand through his hair. His first experience with a mage had been . . . life-changing. It was one of the many reasons he'd come to hate magic users: his own transformation. Looking to Hawke, Fenris felt his brow furrow. What makes you different?
As the woman slept, Fenris moved to sit on the floor and lean back against the bed beside her. He didn't know how long he'd stayed awake, but his eyes eventually chose to close without his permission.

Once Shiloh was gone from the building, she felt a knife going through her shadows. Quickly, she jumped back so as to not get hit, but she was nicked by it. "Its only a scratch," She told herself as it started to bleed a little bit. Quickly she listened in for Jarlaxle's heart beat again. Hopefully, she could bring him back to life, or they could die together, but it all depended on him and where he was. When she could feel his weak pulse once again, she used her shadows to try to find him again. Sooner or later, she ended up staying in the shadows, finding his pulse much stronger here than anywhere else. She finally found him, floating in darkness. With care, she gently picked his head up and started to caress him. "My love. Your alive if only slightly. Please come back to me...." Tears started to fall down her face again as she put a hand to his chest, sending a pulse through his veins to keep the blood pumping and the poison out, if possible. "Please... Please dont die. Please dont." She started to rock back and forth as she did the pulse again and again and again. Her tears came out harder and faster now as she tried to nurse him back to health. Her sobs came again. She didnt know where she got the energy to cry and do the pulse, but she did.
Venra came back about an hour after she had left. She had forgotten a few things and wanted to check on Lish and Shiloh, but first the other two. When she opened the door to the room the other two were in, she saw that both were sleeping. Out of all the mess she had put them through, they could manage a wink or two of sleep. It was astonishing. She closed the door and locked it again. When she got to her door, a couple guards flinched which made her suspicious. When she looked at one of their hands, she saw the burns. On that note, she ran into the room. When she saw that Shiloh was no longer bonded ot the wall but gone and her lover was fading in and out of his speed realm. She ran over to Lish to see if he was hurt at all first. "Wheres Shiloh?!" Unfortunately, those were the only words that would come out of her mouth.

Riya gave a weak sound of disapointment as she had tried to reach for the cloud to see if it was as fluffy as it looked but it was to far from her reach, she sighed quietly before she looked back at Raziel as best as she could from her point of view. "Oh.....what does the sanctuary cavern look like? Why do they avoid it?" those were just a couple of questions flying through her head at the moment, they were also the ones she had asked Razeil first, she was happy in this moment, flying with a dragon and leanring things about him and his race.
Riya was about to say something to his comment about eatting, but she had then found herself falling through the air that made her realize she could die, she gave a small cry of surprise at the new turn of events and that was when she felt something very solid catch her. She had squeezed her eyes closed, not having wantted to see the end come to her, her head kept telling her that she was dead but as she anylized who she was feeling and focused on what was holding her, she gave a reliefed sigh as she opened her eyes once more. "I thought i was going to die." she said to him in a small voice as she tried to slow her heart down, shaking as she stood on her own, she needed to put more of the medicine on her self anyways so that she would heal much faster. She was about to turn around to see his face and ask him why he had done that when she heard his mental voice telling her not to do so, she wondered why for a few minutes before she flushed crimsom. "I am going to get fire wood." she said to him quickly as she headed out to find some wood to make a fire with, she was completely avoiding the fact that he was behind her, she didn't even know if he was dressed yet of if he had clothes, but either way she didn't want to find out anytime soon.
"Ah....be careful, Raziel." she called to him in a worried voice as she heard what he had said to her, she sighed some at him telling her to stay there, looking down at the stream before she turnned her head to the side some, the hat still hidding most of her hair. "I will!" she called after him as she continued to collect some wood and make it into a nice and neat little pile.

Darkness. A brief flicker of consciousness. Life? Someone making noise . . . noise that brought the drow's mind reeling with discomfort. "Leave me be." It was far more peaceful in the dark where he could sleep. The burn of poison couldn't reach him there. He tried to turn away, but his body wouldn't respond. He couldn't open his eyes; his lips didn't utter the words he wished to say.
Struggling between life and death, Jarlaxle hardly heard the voice that called to him. His black skin was easily hidden in the darkness . . . it was a wonder that Shiloh had even found him. Though his body didn't respond to Shiloh's touch . . . and neither did his heart or mind. His pulse quickened momentarily upon Shiloh's prompting, but it always resumed its slow beat. The pulses of energy sent through him brought him a few intakes of breath, but nothing more.
After Shiloh's tears struck his skin, Jarlaxle seemed to frown. Why are you crying? The words were never heard. Numbly reaching out for the girl, he felt his hand brush something - her cheek. ". . . Shiloh?"
-
Lish finally came out of his own realm, snarling as he witnessed the last traces of darkness disappearing. Shiloh was gone. He heard Venra enter, and his maroon eyes immediately filled with a strange kind of fervor. "Something boosted her powers." The pale youth was shaking with fury, despite his calm and even tone. "She's gone." His expression melted into something cold and unfeeling. "She's gone . . . again."
-
"I'll tell you about the cavern when I come back," Raziel said as he smiled. He knew that Riya was blushing - he could see it creeping up her neck . . . and it wasn't hard to guess from her sheepish demeanor. With the snap of leathery wings, the youth grit his teeth at the shooting pain from the partial transformation and shot into the air. He was soon doing just what he'd said: gathering food.
By the time the male returned with his shirt full of nuts, berries and a few apples, Raziel noticed that there was firewood ready for lighting. He caught Riya's eye with the metallic glittering of his wings and the wave of a clawed hand. "Thank you, Riya."
Upon sitting near the fire, he coaxed a small flame to consume the entire bundle. It was strange to see a beast breathe fire, but even stranger still to see a man do it. When they were set, Raziel turned his red-glazed eyes to Riya. "Sit?" He asked her gently, setting his shirt on the ground and letting the food rest before the fire. When the girl did, he immediately offered a piece of fruit to her . . . and held it near her mouth so she could eat.

When Jarlaxle's hand went up to touch her cheek, she found the missing tears she had not spilled yet. She held his hand there softly and gently as if the feeling of his living, breathing, warm body stopped time for them. The fact that he was even remotely alive filled her body with life and joy. Call it stockholm syndrome. The thing that caused her to love him in the first place. The thing that cause her to feel towards him and in return, show that he felt the same way. That was the answer to Lish's question. It lingered in her mind as the answer, but she didnt care. She was with him now and that was all that mattered. As if she had been holding her breath, she forced it out in almost a hiccuping way. The breath went out and then back in very quickly. It was heard pretty loudly as well. "Yes.... I'm here." She put her other hand on his chest. "Please stay with me.... I'm going to try to get the poison out.... I can't lose you.... Not now..." With that, she took her hand and moved it over near the wound, then leaned down and kissed lightly on his neck, starting to suck all the poison out. Yes, it had been running through his veins for hours, she didnt know how many, but with her pulsing magic, she figured it would move back into the veins, where she could just suck the poison out of him.
Venra stared blankly at the wall where the broken chains hung. "Theres no way she got it from anything in here. Its all poisons and medicine. The elf isnt anywhere near her either." She looked confusingly at the mess in her room. "Is it possible that he is still alive?" She walked over to the chains and ripped them out of the wall. Yes, she didnt have any magic that could help her, but she at least had strength. "The only way to get that kind of power to break the chain SO quickly is Adrenaline and/or the Lyrium filling that elf's body." Her words seemed to be spitting out of her now. She wanted to find this girl and kill her herself. For all the trouble she went through just to capture her and keep her so many times, she must have meant a lot to Venra. Now it was just the fact that she wanted to take the girl and give her a nice lesson on why she shouldnt disobey. "IS THERE a chance." Her voice started off loud as she ringed the chains in her hands, but softened as she remembered who she was talking to.

The halting, hiccuping breath that filled the silence made the dark elf's eyes flicker. By the time he could actually look at Shiloh, Jarlaxle could also feel her hand against his chest. It took a lot of concentration to understand what the girl was saying - everything was blurry and muffled.
When Shiloh's hand moved closer to his wound, the male hissed lightly. It was swollen and still bleeding slowly, unable to heal because of the poison. Jarlaxle almost relaxed when he felt her kiss . . . but his body had other intentions. Shiloh's lips pressed over his wound and she began to draw the poison out. At first the feeling was almost pleasant . . . but it shifted swiftly the moment the taint reached the wound itself.
Jarlaxle pushed Shiloh back - lightly at first - as the burn started to rise once again. "Stop," he breathed, somehow willing himself to force the girl's lips away from his wound. In his delirium, he found the pain unbearable. The only mental resistances he'd had to pain were weakened by death. Jarlaxle's entire body began to throb with that aching fire once again . . . and it was all he could do to remain still.
-
Lish was deadly silent as Venra expressed her own anger. His gaze met hers steadily the moment she asked her question. "Yes." His answer was quiet, but steady. The mercenary leader knew that Jarlaxle had a slight chance of being alive . . . but he couldn't last long without something rather essential.
A small object flew through the air. Lish tossed the vial to Venra for her safekeeping. "This is the only antidote I have for the poison. He can't live without it." His smile was cold and mirthless. "Even if they don't know about the antidote, he will die. There will be one reason or another that will bring that twit back to us." Lish stood still for many moments before closing his eyes and raking a hand through his hair. This is absurd. "Why should Shiloh be kept alive?"

Shiloh stopped trying to get the poison out of his wound when he felt a burning sensation. Now that she knew the poison was there, she could ease his pain and take it out. She sent out her magic through the nerves in his body to effect the way he felt things. The pain was too unbearable for him, she could see that. There must be an antidote to the poison. Lish wouldnt administer a poison without creating an antidote for him in case he got cut. It as just a small cut on Jarlaxle and yet it did this damage. Of course Lish would have some sort of antidote for himself. She looked back in the shadows towards where she would have to go in order to get the antidote. She would have to do something drastic that she didnt want to in order to get that antidote. Looking down at Jarlaxle's body which almost seemed lifeless, she couldnt help but hold his hand even tighter. There had to be an antidote and in order for him to live, she would have to suck it up. He wasnt going to like this plan. She had to try though, to save him. They had leverage on her as long as he was still alive. If he died, it didnt matter what happened to her anymore. He had to be alive and they had the way of keeping him that way. She put her hand just over the wound and set a barrier in the skin wherever the poison was to force the poison to stay in one spot not move, not spread. "Ill be back love. I have to do something about this." With that she kissed him on the lips for a long second, dropped something on the wrist she had been holding that looked like a bracelet, then ran through the darkness. That bracelet would help her find him again. Somehow she would be able to get to him again. She had to.
Lish was completely sure that Jarlaxle was dead, but throwing her the vial for safe keeping just in case. Venra took in a deep breath as he spoke. He was right. If Jarlaxle was alive, Shiloh would come back to them, figuring out that there was a cure for the poison that ran through his veins. If she didnt know about the antidote or figure out that there has to be one, she probably wouldnt come back until the last second looking for one. Or if he actually died and she only found his body, she would probably come back broken. Either way, Shiloh would eventually come back to them. Her thoughts were interrupted by another question. Why should they be keeping Shiloh alive. She only ever cause trouble, this was true, but her abilities with the Lyrium in her would make her a wonderful test subject. The truth was that she wanted to see the child suffer for killing her father and it was her father's final wish when they brought him back from the wreckage completely broken, that she never let her die by their hands, but make her suffer. She promised her father that as his hand fell out of hers, cold and limp. "I have a score to settle with her as well Lish. She killed my father many years ago as a little girl. She was just a child and caused an explosion that left my father mangled and dying. Her own family was killed in the blast along with the soldiers that held them while she as coming back from playing in the forest. His dying wish was too keep her alive and use her, to make her suffer, but use her none the less. She still cant control half the things that she does with that sort of power and i want to harness it.
Shadows started to swirl and come together in the room and Shiloh walked through them. Venra's head went up as if to say she was here. Shiloh looked at the two of them before going to one knee, which was very unexpected. It looked like she had been through hell and back again. Of course she hadnt but that wasnt the point. "I... I... Will do anything... for the antidote. As long as he lives." Her head went down as she spoke, but back up as she spoke the last word. Venra walked over to her trying to figure out whether or not she was lying. She hid the vial behind her, in her clothing.
"And why should we do this? You've cause alot of trouble my dear." She used her fingers to tell the guards to grab her. Of course it didnt surprise her when the girl didnt resist.

"Don't do anything stupid." The words never left his lips, and Jarlaxle was sure to grasp Shiloh's hand before she left. The bracelet was a cool weight against his skin, and the mercenary knew that she was leaving. "Be careful," he whispered, returning her kiss. His blue gaze followed her as she turned away, and the dark elf succumbed to darkness once again. He knew that Shiloh would find him - he knew she would do everything she could to save him. If she succeeded, then they were both fine. If she failed . . . Jarlaxle didn't want to wake up.
The sleep between life and death solidified its grasp on the drow once again.
((:XD Ever feel like your life is futile? Poor Shiloh! Sheesh!))
-
When Shiloh appeared, Lish let his shocked expression fade swiftly. It was startling to see her return so soon. The mercenary leader fingered one of his blades as he watched Venra's men capture their prey without much hassle. Instead of interjecting, the pale youth tilted his head and regarded Shiloh for many long moments. Her words rang his mind, as they had been ever since she first slid into darkness.
"You could never understand something that is beyond your reach."
Lish's maroon eyes flickered from Shiloh to Venra, and he looked vaguely uncomfortable as he watched what was happening. Something about what Shiloh said was disgustingly true: what he sought was completely beyond his reach.

"Alright." Riya whispered to him as she just went about what she was doing, when she heard him go to fly off once more, swhe couldn't help but turn her head and watch him do so, surprise on her face at seeing him more human then dragon, she watched a bit before she had finished what she had been doing.
While he was gone and she had finished with the firewood, she sat at the edge of the water and just swirled a stick around in it as she waitted for his return, having nothing better to do and was doing as he said, wiatting there for him. She jerked in surprise at seeing him back, blushing as she thought he was naked once mmore but then remembered that he had clothes on but the lack of a shirt still kept a pink tint to her face. "Your welcome, Raziel." she said to him with a smile as she stood up and dustted her self off some.
"Raziel.....can you tell me about Lyna?" clearly she had been thinking about it as she had been waiting, the name had come up often enough for her to know that the person was very important to him, she had asked him once before but he more or less avoided the queation. It was a very strange or odd sight indeed to see a man breathing fire, it made her step back a bit before she had sat down, smiling softly as she went to take the fruit from him, blushing even more when he tried to feed it to her, she leaned back some before taking it carefully from his hand and feeding it to her self instead.

I felt it once before when my exbf and i were rping. One of his characters had his main characters life in his hands and I started to feel like it wasnt an rp anymore. We had been going for hours on end and i started to cry from it too. So i kinda know how it feels or else i wouldnt be writing it. lol Its super emotional!!!
Shiloh closed her eyes for a second, listening to the woman. She knew Jarlaxle wanted her to be careful, but dealing with the enemy was the only way to save him. This type of poison was so much harder to read than any other she had seen. She needed their antidote for him to live. If they didnt give it to her, she would do the same thing she had just done and disappear only to watch her love die and probably kill her self in the process. The least she could do was try to help him, even if that meant giving up her life.
"Ah love. Isnt it just wonderful what you would do just for love?" Venra looked back at Lish. He seemed troubled about something. He was staring uncomfortably at Shiloh, as if her presence set something unfathomable through his mind and he just didnt have the answer.
"I'll do anything for him. Anything for him to live. Even if that means giving up my own life. Please. I don't know how much more i can beg you." Shiloh looked like she was going to cry, but there were no tears able to come from her eyes.
"Ah well then we have a conundrum on our hands dont we." Venra walked all sultry like to Lish and put her arm around his closest one, holding it like a person in love would. "What do you think love?

Raziel smiled a bit when he saw Riya's face darken. He allowed her to take the food from him so she could feed herself, chuckling at her blushing features. The peaceful expression on his face slowly melted into something a little more distant when he heard Riya's question. Lyna. Her name sent a contraction through his heart like some sort of bullet.
"Riya," the dragon almost shook his head and refused. It was painful to relive the memories so soon after the poor girl's death. Raziel caught the girl's eyes for a moment before letting out a quiet sigh. "She was . . . a brave girl." He swallowed, slowly letting his red-glinting eyes flicker toward the flames. "Someone I grew close to over the past season." The youth sat cross-legged, ignoring the food that Riya slowly nibbled on as he thought more deeply about Lyna. "Let me start . . . at the beginning."
For the next couple hours the dragon relayed how Lyna had found him in her stable and chosen to defend him. He told her how they had been hounded by the mercenaries; how they'd met Shiloh. Raziel's features were full of joy when he recalled her life . . . but when it neared the end, the male's face darkened.
"She died the day I met you, Riya." The dragon let his human gaze linger on the girl for many moments before reaching up to fondly brush her hair behind one ear. "She had a gentle face like yours. Blonde hair . . ." Raziel trailed off, fingering a few strands of Riya's fine hair before blinking himself out of the daze he was in. Sorrow filled his gaze, and he reached up to trace the strange marking on his skin (I forgot . . . but he has a crimson rose just over his heart).
After many moments he looked back to Riya, struck by the second time since their meeting by the similarities between Riya and Lyna. Riya reminded Raziel of the girl . . . but he had to make an effort to draw the line at where they were different.
"You look a lot like her."
The dragon eyed Riya for a few moments more before leaning over to breathe gently over her face. The scent of wood fires wafted over her, warming her nose and cheeks as the male reached for her hair again. Toying with a few locks, Raziel kept his heart still: it was hard to keep the pain from rising once again. A strange bond had formed between Lyna and himself - a bond that dragons didn't usually experience. It had been physical torture when the girl died; he'd felt it like a link being severed between them. Gently looking over Riya's pale features, Raziel couldn't help but wonder if it would ever happen again.

"I'll do anything for him."
Even give up your own life? Lish frowned as he heard Shiloh's desperation. "Why?" he mouthed, though the word was hardly more than a breath from his lips. No one heard it . . . and he hadn't intended for them to. The pale youth almost started when Venra's arm wrapped around his. Though Lish had watched her approach, he almost jumped. "Think?" The tall male swiftly forced his mind to catch up to what was said, and he finally tilted his head to regard Shiloh once again. He'd been staring at her for the entire event . . . and only now was he able to concentrate on what was going on. "I think we should take her up on her offer. She will do anything."
Lish took a slow breath before placing a hand over Venra's. "I think we should find a way to keep her. Some way to leash her powers." Some way to keep Shiloh under their jurisdiction and rule would suit their desires quite nicely.
In the back of his mind the thought still gnawed at him. Lish mentally snarled in frustration, searching for what was on the tip of his tongue. What on earth was he seeking that he couldn't reach? He had nearly everything he'd ever sought and desired . . . and lacked only what Shiloh and her silly friends had taken from him. Starlyn might be gone, but he had Venra now.
Blinking his thoughts away, Lish's maroon eyes moved to Venra apologetically. "You would know how to deal with her more than I would."

Lish seemed to be acting strange, she noticed. He wasnt taking up as much of a leadership role as he usually did. Venra put her other hand over his, hesitating before letting both his arm and hand go in order to deal with Shiloh. She walked over to the now one guard that was holding her in place. As she got closer to the girl, her fist started to form, but she didnt punch her. Venra got into a quick striking stance when she was finally upon him and sent a roundhouse kick right into her abdominal region. The girl doubled over, barely able to breathe from all the air that was knocked out of her. When she finally got up, Venra looked pleased. "Sorry," She said with a smile on her face. "Old habits die hard." Now she started to pace around the girl. "Well we cant have you going to him so you'll never come back... So go to him. Take a guard with you." She said all this as she grabbed a bottle from the table. It was a potion she had concocted from the many magical items that were rare on account of what it did. It caused one to be able to move through shadows. The last known person to have this item actually happened to be Jarlaxle. She handed it to the guard that was holding Shiloh. He drank some of it and handed it back to her. "Bring the drow back here and we will give him the antidote. If you dont come back, he will die one way or another." The guard nodded to Venra. "I'll be waiting here for you."
Shiloh, still being out of breath, nodded to the woman as well. The guard took the two shackles Shiloh already had, off of her wrists and put another one around her neck that was mended, but this time it was a normal shackle. The two were engulfed by shadows within minutes. The guard held the shackles like a leash. She went to where her bracelet pulsed, guard following behind without a moment to lose. When they got to Jarlaxle, she knelt down to him and held his hand to her cheek again. "I got the antidote, but we have to go somewhere first. Ok my love?" Not in the mood to deal with the promises and lovey dovey stuff, the guard just walked over to the man and picked him up, carrying him bridal style as he forced Shiloh to bring them right back. They appeared through the shadows once more. He took Jarlaxle over to where Shiloh was being held captive before and laid him out on the pillows. Shiloh was taken by one of the other guards by the chain.
Venra walked over to the man who was seemingly dead and felt his weak pulse. She looked up at Shiloh feeling the need to kill this man after all the trouble he and his lover had caused her, but she had made a deal with her that she would keep him alive. "I give him the antidote and you become the completely loyal servant to Lish, while your lover here becomes mine. Thats my offer. Take it or leave it."
Shiloh couldn't believe what she was hearing. She bowed her head and pushed the knot that was forming in her throat back down so it couldnt stop her breathing. "I'll take it... Just please give him the antidote"
Venra smiled as she took the bottle from behind her. She grabbed onto the wound and poured some of the antidote on it, cupping her hand underneath to catch the stuff that didnt go in. The antidote would move through his body, clearing up any poison that was there. She corked the bottle again and walked over to Lish. Shackles were placed on the Drows wrists just in case he came too. Venra walked back over to Lish where she could wait to see what happens.
Beth woke to something disturbing the air. It was like people were moving in and out of different realms until finally it stopped. Her back still throbbed slightly as she looked around the room the way that her body was positioned. She turned over just a little bit and moved to where she could sit up and look around. There were fresh clothes laid out on the bed, seemingly for her, but they didnt suit her style one bit. It showed too much skin, but what else was she going to do? She was already showing a lot of skin as it were. Looking towards Fenris, she found he was sleeping. On that notion, she started to change, bottom up so that she could wrap the sheet around her. She hissed with all the pain, but by now, she was use to it. When she was done, it looked like she was a mage from another world just due to her outfit. The skirt was long, but didnt cover the sides of her legs. Her shirt didnt cover her stomach and almost left her chest hanging right out for people to see. She ripped the cloth that had been covering her and tied it around her chest like a binding so that it didnt show anything. Luckily the cloth was smooth against the gashes on her back, neck and shoulders after she put it one, and overed most of them. She wore the gloves and boots they gave her as well so that she didnt offend them. With all that done, she pulled her hair out of the neckline so that it could fall normally and laid down on the bed to see if she could sleep some more. There was food on the table in the room but she wasnt very hungry.

Jarlaxle felt Shiloh return, and he tried to rouse himself from sleep once again. It was difficult - but he managed to become aware of his surroundings as they left the darkness. The scent of the slavers made the drow frown slightly . . . but he couldn't manage any more than that.
It was strange being held by someone; he was finally set down somewhere comfortable. Jarlaxle felt almost like he was floating again . . . until something warm touched the skin near his throat. His wound felt as though someone were pouring liquid ice over it - difficult to bear, at first, but the pain became numb after a few moments.
The drow winced, but already he could feel the poison drawing away from his senses. His blue eyes slowly opened and he searched for Shiloh before vaguely feeling shackles snap over his wrists. Jarlaxle didn't move, but his mind began to recover. Closing his eyes, the male concentrated on finding his friend. Where are we?
-
Lish smiled a bit when Shiloh returned with the dark elf. Figures that he'd lived that long - Shiloh must have interfered with the poison to keep it from killing him off. He watched in silence . . . until a bitter laugh escaped his lips when he heard Venra's terms. They would have two servants now - and they would stay willingly.
He shook himself from his strange thoughts with a rush of frustration and turned to Shiloh. "Strange. You'd sell yourself over for someone like him." Lish smiled a bit, his maroon eyes filling with satisfaction. "Perhaps we can expect you to behave now, girly?"
-
Fenris had heard Hawke moving about, but he chose to stay still. If she wanted to talk, she would say so . . . and he wasn't sure if he wanted to speak with someone at that moment. There were so many things on his mind that he just wouldn't know where to start.
The very fact that Beth was moving about meant that she was feeling a bit better than earlier. Fenris immediately turned his thoughts away from Hawke: something had changed between them. Something happened, and it was all too fast for his liking. She was a mage. She was only a woman he'd met up with in his travels to destroy creatures of magic - nothing more, nothing less.
But I'm lying to myself, aren't I?
When Hawke settled down on the bed again, the elf risked a glance at her. There was nothing about the woman that he thought necessarily unpleasant - she was a beautiful creature, honestly. Fenris flexed his gauntleted hand as he thought over their adventures together. Hawke had been the only companion he'd felt prompted to rely on - he never trusted anyone at his back save her. But why? Surly it wasn't because of her gender.
With a mental sigh, Fenris leaned his head back against the side of the bed once more. Bringing his legs up so he could rest his wrists on his knees, the male glared at the ceiling. It didn't matter. They were together now - and they were being . . . recruited to do just what Fenris had been doing all along. The only difference now was a bit of slavery and pain.
