((Oh, life takes a lot out of you! I can only write on Mene when I'm bored . . . or in the wee small hours of the morning. :XD))

Fenris growled something under his breath, but stood and nodded. "Before nightfall it is." He didn't like leaving Hawke alone with a dragon at her side, but she was right. The elf needed to get away from Raziel before he did something to hurt him. With a scowl, the dark-skinned male moved away from the mage and her group. It was moments before he had the rogues up front.
As they started out, Fenris cast a glance over his shoulder. Hawke would keep the dragon under control. "Let's get moving. Set a pace you can keep." With that, they headed back toward the encampment. He tried not to notice when Riya was led to a place near him, and sent her a frown that would have frightened most people. With another growl, the elf flexed his guantleted hand and started forward
.
-

Raziel's gaze hardened when Hawke approached. He appreciated the help up as he stood, and felt a wave of relief wash over him as real as any splash of water. As the silver was pulled away from his skin the dragon couldn't keep an expression of relief and comfort from passing over his face. "Bless you," he hissed, disregarding her stinging words. The rope was rough against the chaffed skin about his wrists, but it was soft in comparison to the poisonous silver.
His unnatural rate of healing had taken care of any scrapes and bruises he'd suffered from their previous battle (save where Fenris' blade had dug in under his wing), but the silver-made wounds wouldn't heal swiftly. They would take far longer to seal and close. Raziel watched Hawke, but said nothing further. When they finally started to move, he sent a glance to Riya . . . and took a deep breath. I am still watching you, Riya.
-

Jarlaxle burst into laughter. He moved closer to Shiloh, wrapping his arms around her shoulders and resting his head on hers as he finally managed to calm down. "You're glowing even more now." His black fingers ran over her cheek before he began to laugh again. "It's your smile. It shows in your eyes and in your movements."
The dark elf chuckled, resting his chin on Shiloh's shoulder. "You're blushing."

Shiloh looked confused for a moment and then smiled a little embarrassed as he wrapped his arms around her shoulders and laid his head to rest there. A smile that seemed to never leave the creases of her face seemed like it would never go away. Of course she had figured this out a while ago, when she first fell in love with the dark elf that was hanging off of her right now. "Then i will always glow with you around." She said in his ear. Her blush started to increase as she let his chin rest on her shoulder now.

Hawke heard the words the dragon had said to her and she just smiled. "There is no reason for you to be in pain for the entire journey back to the Venra's." She looked over at the girl. "If she has no home to speak of, I would gladly take her in and teach her how to protect herself. That is her choice though. I'm sure if she doesnt want to do that then my brother would gladly give her a home where she can live peacefully." She was actually being nice to a dragon. Why? Fenris would absolutely kill her if he found out what she was doing. Well not kill her, but be a little angry with her for telling him that since they have no place to take the girl, she could go do something else for the dragon's sake. It was the least she could do for this dragon for not killing any of the men and surrendering with such small demands. He just kept them back without trying to hurt them. At least all but Fenris himself.

The noble men could heart he conversation that Hawke was having with the dragon and they were not very happy that they were conversing over the girl. To them the girl was just another door prize for winning against a dragon without any casualties. The fight had been less challenging than they had expected, all because the dragon had a girl with him. The mage also made the fight not as fun with her way of keeping him to the ground. They wanted to kill the dragon. Thats what they thought they were hired to do, but it seems these two had their own plans. It was good that they were doing their own thing now. They had their own plans on what to do with the dragon and the two that had captured it. The scum of the street would probably fight along side the elf named Fenris and he would try to protect the noble woman, but seeing how much distance was between the two at this point and that would be between the two whenever they travelled. It would be the perfect time to strike. The only thing was that they would have to do it in an area they would be able to know well or else the scum and the other two would have the upper hand.

Venra walked out of the stable, finally done with the horses and went towards the area Lish would most likely be in. She wanted to stop him before he went to Seth. If he told Seth that she had sent him for the information he seeked about why she was acting so weird, she would surely die by his hands soon if that were the case. As she passed Seth's room, she heard Lish talking and cringed a bit. He was already talking about what she had said. With a sigh, she decided to check on things around the fortress to make sure it was all well and good before her soon to come death. She walked into the room where the shackles were suppose to be being created and saw Shiloh and Jarlaxle. What love the two must have to have gone through all this trouble only to be separated all the time and yet still be able to hold one another. It started to provoke her envy to see them, but she had quietly walked into the room so they would be unable to see or hear her come in. Now it was time to make her presence known. "Jarlaxle. Come with me."She said abruptly interrupting them and walking back towards the door.

Seth blinked at him when he had started to tell him what had went on between him and Venra, he couldn't help but smil3e and laugh at the looks on Lish's face, he was loving this, it was better then he expected. "One that is not the favor that i want, Lish. When i want my favor i will call on you for it. Second she is a woman who works with potions, the fumes must be going to her head. She works to hard and rarely sleeps. If some one is threatening her then it must be a new member because us who have been here for a while know not to mess with your bitch." he said to him in a matter of fact tone of voice as if this should already be known to the male, staring at him as if to say why didn't you think of this your self. "The new recruits are the only ones that would do such things, it is also the only possble explination to how she is actting other then her fumes getting to her." he said to him, he was going to have to keep a closer eyes on Venra to make sure she didn't say more and that she kept his secret, she lucked out this time but next time she may not be as lucky.

Riya was about to answer him but then everything was moved so very faced, she was pulled to her feet and moved to the front of the group, next to Fenris, who made her feel very small and she tried hard to appear as if she was not even there at all. She didn't know what to say or what to do at the moment, she didn't ewven respond to Raziel as she just walked with all the men, it was slow walking, not as fast as it was when she had been flying. She sighed as she glanced up at the sky, thinking about what he had asked her, what would she do if she was completely free.
She didn't know what she would do if she was completely free, if she was free.....well she would have to find that out when and if it happened, because freedom is something she never had. In fact she was more shocked that he had ask her that question, she just had a...well she was numb just trying to process the question and to come up with an answer to it.

((AH! I can't believe I missed this one. Sorry! *goes to type as quickly as possible*))

Jarlaxle's features mellowed a bit, and he chuckled at Shiloh's words. "I'm glad." The drow could easily push away any oddities from his past when he was with this girl. Sure, she was young . . . but for elves, it didn't matter. If they were going by age, Jarlaxle was permanently a 25-year-old male. Shiloh would age, and in time it would seem more "appropriate." In the culture of dark elves, though, their difference in age made no difference. A mutual agreement had been made, and that was the extent of it. Many far worse things happened in the Underdark. Jarlaxle didn't even consider their relationship strange in the least.
His blue eyes followed Shiloh's hands as she worked, and he kept himself leaning slightly against the woman for a while. Moments like this make me wish I'd left the Underdark sooner.

There was a sound near the doorway, but the quiet noise was easily dismissed as a passing lackey. It was the voice that distinguished their visitor as someone more important. Venra spoke, and Jarlaxle grudgingly pulled his chin away from the woman before him. His black features were emotionless, but his eyes showed that he was unhappy leaving Shiloh. As his arms unwrapped from about the girl, the drow leaned down to kiss her neck. 'I love you.'
With that, he turned to follow Venra. It begins again. The male sighed, running a hand through his long hair and undoing the tie that held it back. "Is there something you need, matron?" Matron. A drow title of respect, for the matriarchs ruled dark elven societies in a way that a slavemaster rules over their minions. Males were nothing but tools in the underground homes of the drow. As though falling into habit, Jarlaxle's gaze lowered to the floor as he followed the woman.

-

"You would do that for her?" Raziel's brown eyes narrowed as they walked. "Riya . . . deserves better that what she has now." The dragon seemed to be regaining his strength and energy already, though his silver-made wounds made no effort to close. Apparently Fenris' blade had some remnant of the metal somewhere along its length, for the gash under Raziel's arm and along his side was still seeping with blood. It wasn't bleeding profusely, but it was going to cause problems later on if he didn't have it treated.
There was a long moment of silence before Raziel sighed. "You keep strange company, mage." He shook his head. "Perhaps you should walk father ahead of me. I don't want your elf thinking I'm trying to sway your thoughts with my venomous tongue." Bitterness suddenly filled his voice. "Perhaps I should have fought harder for her." His eyes glazed with crimson, and scales rimmed his features as he thought over the battle. "She deserves it."

-

((These creepy nobles are . . . well, creepy.))

Fenris cast a brief glance to Riya as they walked. He didn't enjoy having the girl near him (he never enjoyed having anyone close to him), but it must have been to keep her away from the dragon. The elf sneered at the thought of the battle, and he wished he could drive his blade through the monster's heart. It would have been a clean kill . . . relatively.
Gritting his teeth, the dark-skinned male fought against the rage that seemed to simmer up within him. Suddenly, that rage twisted his thoughts. It was Hawke's fault that he couldn't kill the beast. The dragon needed to die, yet the mage had stopped him from delivering the death blow. The mage kept him from a satisfying kill. Mages were always a source of control and displeasure, it seemed.

What am I thinking? Hadn't he just been fighting with himself that morning? Hadn't he just been thinking that Beth was one of his closest allies and dearest companion? Perhaps . . . I was wrong. Perhaps I was too hasty to think that. His black, pupil-less eyes narrowed as they continued onward. Glancing at Riya again, the elf growled under his breath. Leave it to me to protect the weak. Since when have I ever been suited for such a task?

-

"Why do you laugh?" Lish growled, looking more angry as time went on. He fell silent when he heard Seth speak. "Then call me on your favor later then!" Almost rolling his maroon eyes, the pale youth stiffened when he listened more closely. "Watch what you say about her," he said, his tone dropping and his eyes narrowing. He didn't like how Seth said it, but perhaps he was right. His logic was sound: those who had spent more than a few years with the mercenaries didn't touch or threaten Venra because she was "dangerous" by association.
"There's nothing wrong with Venra," he said, shaking his head. "I don't think the potions are doing anything to her." When he glanced back to Seth on his uncomfortable seat, Lish was glad he'd chosen to sit on a chair nearby. "I'll . . . listen. I'll make sure they aren't threatening her." Abruptly standing, the silver-haired youth narrowed his eyes again. "I don't know why I agreed to come to you."

With a exasperated sigh, Lish reached out to run his hand along one of the pins that made up the bed Seth was resting on. Blood beaded on his fingertip as a rush of pleasure filled his mind. "I should go." Clenching his hand into a fist, Lish turned and headed for the door without looking back. He hated Seth, and that hadn't changed. So much for him having helpful information. . . .

(Finally. I have time to make a Reply!!!

Thanks love. I love your Avi too. I liked how it looked like a little girl. It was amazing and now its still just as amazing.)

Venra looked over at Jarlaxle as she walked down the hallway. What she really wanted to do was push him against the wall and question him about his visit with Shiloh, but naturally, she saved it for later. Right now, all that was on her mind was that Seth could possibly want to kill her now that LIsh had gone to see him. "I need you to do your duty now. I might even let you get your own favor from me for this one." She figured with the way that he had been acting, he may never want to leave her. What he would want to do with her is exactly what she wanted with Lish, or at least what she was hoping for. The want of being together forever seemed to be written all over the two of them. The only way she could think of to do that would be marriage, but of course, she didnt know how drows did it. Quickly, she shook all the thoughts out of her head as she walked with Jarlaxle towards her room.

"Jarlaxle I need you to be able to protect me from everyone and i mean everyone. This danger that i have tattooed you for, he can turn into anyone and anything and i have no power to use against him, except for out secret." She turned to him once they reached the inside of her room. "I fear i may have opened a pandora's box." She turned once again to the bed and leaned on it.

Shiloh didnt like that Jarlaxle had to leave. The final moments of him being with her seemed to be so slow. His chin had been on her shoulder. It was a comforting feeling that she had wished would never go away. His hands had been wrapped around her waist, making her feel so special to be with him, but both of those had ended when the woman walked into the room. His hands were slowly leaving her, his chin was finally gone. A kiss came upon her neck. Something that was unexpected about it all. The tingle of his kiss stayed on her neck as she watched him leave. "I love you too." She said a little too late. As soon as the tingling feeling of the kiss left, she started up her work again, but she knew that the words that had come from his mouth would linger.

Hawke smiled at the dragon. "I would do that to a girl who has lost everything important, including her self esteem. My brother can help her to regain all that." She could tell that he was regaining his strength. The silver wounds would of course heal slowly. Then his comment made her flinch a bit. "He is a friend of my brother's. He hates mages, but once you get to know im, he can be.... well, he doesnt change, but as for walking further away from you, he knows that i will never deviate from the mission. Besides, I must stay close. We do not trust our partners . We never do." He had also spoken of how he had not fought for Riya. "Listen dragon. I know you think that fighting harder for the girl would help, but it would have only gotten her killed. Think of what happened to Shiloh and your last lover. I heard about the girl, but only that she had died a while back."

The nobles gathered together as they continued to walk. They then spread out so that they could pretend that they were covering ground, but instead they made it so that the elf was separate from the mage. The head Noble who had started the whole plans walked over to the dragon and put the silver shackles back on. "We are going to be stopping soon." He said. Hawke seemed to be a little weary on the whole thing, but she was not very strong right now anyways. The fighting had taken a lot out of her and she had barely woken up before. He walked behind her, pulling the dragon along by the shackles before. She quickly knew something was wrong before it happened. He grabbed her from behind and put a blade to her neck with a silver sword pointed at the dragon. "Now little lady. We will be doing something else with this dragon. He is too valuable to be lost on Venra. As for the girl, she will be part of a brothel like she was before."

"Then I will find a way to protect you," Jarlaxle said, leaning against the wall nearby. Watching Venra, he saw fear in her eyes that contrasted with his vision of her. The strong woman was . . . desperate. She nearly reeked of it. "I find it strange that you would be quivering like this, Venra." But he understood why. How could she fight something that shifted like smoke on the wind? How could she defend herself from everyone?

"How can you be sure that I'm trustworthy? That I'm not the danger you seek?" The drow's blue eyes were full of curiosity, not a threat. He merely pondered how she could know that her changing danger wasn't standing right before her now. Fingering a bit of his white hair, Jarlaxle tilted his head. "Is there a trick to it?"

-

The mention of Lyna made Raziel flinch in surprise. He hadn't been expecting that comment. "Just because someone falls, it doesn't give me the excuse to stop fighting." His heated words seemed to draw attention from one of the nobles. Silver clasps were linked about his wrists again, and he hissed in both surprise and pain. Trying to jerk his wrists back, Raziel growled at the man. When the noble spoke, the dragon forced himself to calm down a bit. I'm surrounded, and they have Riya. Just . . . be calm.
Things happened swiftly then. Raziel snarled when he saw a blade pointed his way, and he would have done something if his hands hadn't been bound. The noble's words seared into him like a brand. He was worth too much to be killed for Venra, and Riya was going back to the abusive life she'd lived.

A wave of anger made the dragon want to yank backward with incredible force, hoping to stumble the man . . . but just as he was about to do do so, he stopped. The blade at Hawke's neck made him pause. She had helped capture him, but she wasn't necessarily meant to die. There was some good in her, and Raziel didn't want to be the one who took her life.
Glancing in Fenris' direction, the dragon took a deep breath. He would have to be rather loud for the elf to hear him, but hopefully the male's sensitive hearing would pick up on his voice. Exactly how many of these men were against Hawke and her friend?

"Fenris!"

The elf jerked his gaze back toward the dragon, glaring at the male. When he saw the blade at Beth's throat, he growled. He was already glowing with energy as his hand moved toward his blade. "What is the meaning of this?" he snarled, looking to the nearest noble.
