Jaden hadn’t expected Virsat to react the way he had. If anything, considering the vampires more timid and sweet nature he’d expected him to start blushing or stammering..something! Predictably he’d been trying to cause up some sort of trouble, although he wouldn’t call a flustered Virsat trouble. He wasn’t sure what he’d call that but it definitely wasn’t trouble. He let out a soft grunt of surprise as he was suddenly pulled into a sweet hug his slender body tensing automatically. Clearly he wasn’t used to be hugged. Actually he wasn’t used to tender actions at all,although he certainly didn’t mind being petted as a cat or randomly hugged as a human. It’d just take some getting used to is all. For a few moments all he could do was sit there and accept the others hug but once he got his thoughts sorted out-or rather attempted to- he returned Virsat’s hug his arms wrapping around the other and giving him a brief hug in return before starting to pull away, only to freeze suddenly feeling the other nuzzle his neck. Blinking owlishly for a moment he purred softly in approval his eyes drooping shut slightly as he tilted his back to give Virsat more room to do what ever it was he wanted. Inwardly he was aware that he was asking for trouble, but then again that wasn’t anything new. He’d always gotten into trouble whether he went off in search of it or if it somehow found him.

He was brought out of his thoughts by the sound of Virsat speaking up. His brow wrinkled softly in confusion and he pulled away slightly as well. “Why would you need to be connected to him in anyway? Do you even know him? There’s something about him it doesn’t seem right. At all, and I’m not just talking about the fact that’s he neither vampire nor demon but a combination of the two. There’s something more-“ he babbled uselessly trying to explain the feeling out right mistrust and dislike he felt for the other males companion. Finally he gave up trying to explain his dislike and focused on the other next question. ”Angry? Why would I be angry?” he asked with a faint frown of confusion.

Vex looked up, surprised. Usually when someone was yelling at her it was as she was making off with their belongings or cheating them in a gamble. Not because they had felt compelled to help her. The doors and windows to the tavern re-appeared as Yuuichi walked away. She felt a hand on her shoulder, and turned to look at Kiya. No one had ever treated her with any compassion before. Her cheeks turned red as she lowered her head. She had clearly brought up bad memories for Yuuichi. He surely hated her now, why would he want to give her a chance at this point. Still, for the first time in all of her wicked years, she felt bad. She stood. Yuuichi, I'm... she couldn't bring herself to choke out the word 'sorry', she had never used that word before. I want to know what I owe you. She would con some poor sap into giving her what she owed Yuuichi, and never bother him again.

Jaden shivered a low mewl of pleasure escaping as Virsat nuzzled his neck. A low purr of content escaped as he tilted his head back just a little bit more his ears tilting forward in alert as Virsat spoke. Hearing the others reasoning, Jaden snapped out of his happy little trance. ”What? You could have asked me! Seriously, I might be a jerk but I’m not such a jerk that I wouldn’t help someone if they asked me to. And even then I wouldn’t say there’s a price for my services.” he muttered darkly. ”You could have asked me, heck why didn’t you ask me?” he asked with a soft sigh. Great, Virsat wanted protection and he’d turned to some shady s.o.b to get it. That made perfect sense….not! ” What’s his price?” he asked.

Jaden chuckled humorlessly and shook his head.”Wrong. I was annoyed…amongst other things. If I was mad you and everyone downstairs would have had to deal with my fury. I get mouthier than usual when I’m mad.” he explained with a shrug of his shoulders. ”Yes, I left you but look you’re fine. It’s not like you were forced to stay there with them.” he calmly pointed out. However that calmness disappeared when he felt Virsat’s tongue flicking out and trailing over his neck. A delicate shudder trailed through him and he shifted unconsciously pressing closer to Virsat. Blinking dazedly he hastily pulled back putting a sliver of space between them as he forced himself to focus on stringing together a reply. ”I didn’t ask how much, I asked what his price was.” he argued softly his breath hitching some as Virsat’s tongue ran along his neck again. Ok Jaden had wanted attention from Virsat, he just hadn’t had this type of attention in mind. To be honest he hadn’t thought Virsat would react as he. He’d expected a sweeter reaction not a reaction like this!

At the feel of his hand roving up and down his spine a soft meow escaped Jaden’s lips as he instinctively pressed against Virsat’s hand a steady rumbling purr coming from him as he looked down at Virsat through hazy eyes. As a cat, he would have expected Virsat to pay him this kind of attention, but as a human..well to say he was surprised would be an understatement. How exactly was he supposed to react to this? Hey he knew how he wanted to react and usually he would have just went ahead and followed through with that and yet right now he had a very strong feeling that wasn’t a good idea. Especially so considering the type of protection Virsat had just enlisted…and yet it felt so good! If possible it felt even better when Virsat allowed his fangs brushed against his flesh. Shuddering he pressed closer still his purring becoming even louder still. ”Thank you?” he mumbled distractedly as he debated between what he wanted to be closer to. The hand moving up and down his spine in long leisurely strokes or somewhere else…

Slowly turning around, his anger faded by Kiya's touch, Yuuichi stares at the ground. "You owe me nothing. I mistreated you by my assumptions, albeit correct, that you were a thief and placed you in the barest room I had. You are free to go, I won't charge you. I only ask the same as I did before. Consider your way of life and those you are searching for. Now ask yourself, is the possible pain you could cause them truly worth what you are doing?" He sighs, expecting this woman to be no different than other humans, deaf to words of the heart.

She stood for a moment longer thinking about what Yuuichi said. She was saddened. She looked at Yuuichi and Kiya and a tear escaped her eye. The ones I'm searching for are probably already dead. Her anger flared as she yelled Who are you to judge me, you don't know anything about me! She was crying now. Why was she acting this way, she didn't cry. Who was Yuuichi to make her feel this way, what gave him the right!? She felt dizzy, the room was spinning. She hadn't eaten in days. She grabbed onto the bar to steady herself. She was barely loud enough to hear herself talk, I never really wanted to harm anyone. I've just never known any other way... She tried to look up at the two of them, but she couldn't focus. Who was pulling the floor out from under her? She squinted towards them, there were four of them, no six.... everything went black as she hit the floor.

Yuuichi watches the woman fall to the floor and shakes his head. "You no no other way...because you never searched for one child." He mutters softly as he walks around the side of the bar and picks her up off the floor gently. "I will be back in a moment, Kiya." He sighs a bit, wondering if he may have went too far as he carries the human girl up the stairs, back to the room he had for her. After laying her on the bed, he notices the picture that she had dropped on the floor. He picks it up and looks at it a bit curious, then sighs as he sets it on her chest and walks away. "Definitely too far.....If only you humans could understand what makes life too precious to throw away." He closes the door behind him as he walks back out of the room, leaning against the wall for a moment to gather his bearings.

Holy cow, holy jumping over the moon cows! What ever was happening between him and Virsat, Jaden had expected the vampire to withdraw, to stop things. He’d considered pulling away maybe giving some cockamamie excuse to get away but he hadn’t/ because that wasn’t who he was. If he was a good guy, a mythical gentleman, and a true scaredy cat he would have took off for the door long before now. Then again considering he wasn’t any of those things he wasn’t going to go do any of those. It’d be a shame to ruin his streak as a ladies man…er ok maybe not a ladies man considering he liked guys more but still, he’d started it and Virsat seemed to want him to finish it…

Jaden’s frenzied thoughts slammed to a stop as Virsat’s lips pressed against his in a sweet kiss. But it didn’t stop there, it got better. A delicate shiver rippled through Jaden as he felt Virsat’s hand move away from his back down to his thigh. However his pleasure and amazement over that faint tantalizing gesture was completely swamped by the need and want that flared up ad Virsat’s soft and sweet kiss became something else entirely. Moaning huskily, he leaned into the kiss and returned it eagerly. Just as he’d managed to get over his shock and surprise over Virsat’s hidden boldness his head jerked up in surprise as his sensitive ears picked up a low thud from downstairs. ”Did you hear that?” he asked his voice coming out rather hoarse and raspy as he glanced between the door and Virsat trying to register what exactly had just happened and what was going on.

Jaden had just started to argue with that statement. It might not concern Virsat but it did concern him. Sort of, after all he worked down there which was where he was supposed to right now…but to be honest Virsat was a lot more interesting than his job. Still the least he could do was go down there and check to make sure things weren’t a complete mess. He tried once more to voice his thoughts but he never got to ask his question. All too quickly his mouth was preoccupied doing something better, much better than boring old work.

He didn’t have a chance to consider arguing with Virsat’s logic as he threw himself to kiss purring happily. His eyes had drifted shut in a look of pure blessed out happiness when he felt a slight movement. Blinking dazedly he opened his eyes in time to notice the change of positions. Well…things were certainly starting to look up…and things were starting to turn blue. Wasn’t he forgetting something…oh yea. Breathing. Panting softly he hesitantly broke the kiss so he could catch his breath a low groan escaping as Virsat pressed against him. ”You’ve got a point. It definitely doesn’t concern me right now.” he muttered giving Virsat a languid smile his breath hitching slightly as Virsat’s hand trailed over a particularly sensitive spot on his side.

Needless to say in the time that passed, Virsat proceeded to make Jaden a very happy kitty. And Jaden didn’t hesitate to return the favor. In short it was a very pleasurable experience.

Jaden couldn’t stop purring as he flopped onto the bed next to Virsat his eyes closed as he sprawled out in languid enjoyment contemplating what he’d just done. Actually contemplating was the wrong word, savoring was more like it. Chuckling he rolled over slightly and lifted a hand brushing somewhat shaggy hair out of his face so he could get a better look at Virsat out of his single working eye.”Hello..anyone home? I didn’t bite you too hard did I?” he purred softly. While Virsat maybe have been completely against biting Jaden, the cat had shown no such qualms when it came to the other. He’d bitten hard to enough to a get a reaction but not hard enough to cause hurt.

While running through the forest, he came upon a small lake. He felt like a cool wash and a normal shower never really felt right to him. He stripped most of his clothes and dove in. It wasnt too long before an alert went through his head. Being connected with Virsat, he could sense the emotional changed within him. This emotion in particular was quite familiar. He quickly grabbed his pants and thats it, he would come back for the rest later. He was still a little wet when he reached the Tavern again, he ignored the door and just jumped to his balcony. The sight he saw enraged him. He collected himself and casually walked in. How disrespectful doing such things in another's bed. He looked straight at Jaden. You better not have taken advantage of his past if so, I will have to kill you. I promised to protect him and I plan on doing so in all parts of his life. Not just from humans. He said calmly but an edge of anger could be heard and you could see it in his eyes.

Jaden frowned softly. Darn it! He could have been as rough as he wanted. He wasn’t abusive or anything like that he just liked things a little rough. It wasn’t like he was afraid of being hurt or anything like that. Sighing contentedly he allowed himself to be cuddled a low murmur of approval escaping his lips as Virsat petted his ears. It was a very peaceful and enjoyable moment…Sadly it all came to an as Virsat’s friend came into the room.

Instantly what ever contentedness he’s felt disappeared to be replaced by mild insult. Disrespectful, rude, loud mouthed. These were all words that described Jaden and who he was. But they only described him to an extent. ”You’re a fine one to be talking about disrespect. You offered to protect him but you did it for a price. If you really cared one iota about Virsat or his wellbeing then you wouldn’t have done that. To me it seems like you’re the one trying to take advantage of him.” he pointed out with a soft glare. Earlier he’d asked Virsat what the price had been for his protection from humans but Virsat had distracted him. Not that he was complaining about being distracted but he was still curious about this price. It couldn’t hurt to know about it right?

He was brought out of his wandering thoughts by the feeling of Virsat pulling him closer in a protective fashion. It was sweet...But kind of insulting. It wasn't like he was incapable of handling his own fights and he'd admitted it he had asked for it by having fun with Virsat like that. Then again Virsat had started it but it wasn't like he'd done anything to stop it. it took a few moments for Virsat's earlier words to sink 'I needed it and he was willing..' Talk about harsh! Someone being willing to sleep with you wasn't a good reason to go ahead and sleep with em. Surely there was something else in there? A compliment of sorts? Something a little nicer than willing! He might be a jerk but he did have feelings too.

EJ bared his teeth. Jealous that if he needed it, the cat was his first choice, and also insulted for what the feline said. Yes I offered to protect him, He pointed an angered finger at Virsat. but it was his assumption that I would ask for payment. I just went along with it because it was fun toying with him. Trust me, If I really wanted something from him I could have just taken it. You have seen how hard it is to get anything from him. His cool demeanor slowly faded into anger. His fear and his past still haunts him. All his life he was nothing but a toy and his actions are nothing but second nature to him. If he were to approach me in such a way, I would turn it down because of it. It means nothing to a person like him. EJ was clenching his fists, trying hard not to loose control.

EJ stumbled back, in shock of Virsat's fierceness. He didnt expect that from him. He was no longer bearing his teeth, but rather a somewhat sad look to his face. He was defeated. A small smile curled one side of his mouth. I see. You have accepted it. It makes me happy that you now see yourself as free. I will ask for another room. He turned and started to walk away. However, My Prince, next time you want to repay someone for kindness, you dont have to do it with physical favors. You can always make cupcakes or something. He grabbed the door handle, pausing for a moment, and finally left. He stormed off to the bar and sat down. He couldnt see Yuuichi, so he called out to him. Hey Master Yuuichi! I need something to drink!

[color=darkorchidJ[/color]aden bared his own teeth his eye narrowed dangerously. Unlike the clean and polished male he wasn’t just baring his teeth for show. Unlike him he wasn’t afraid to fight, at this point he wasn’t even worried about letting his violent side get the best of him. This jerk had just barged in on him and Virsat-call him crazy but moments like this were private, personal and in a lot of cases meaningful! Yet he’d just had the gall to walk in on them like he owned the place! Sure for the time being it was technically his room and his bed, he could understand. Sad to say that was as far as his understanding went. ”You’re such a hypocrite! You just stated that his past and his fear haunt him, and yet you thought it would be fun to toy with him? You vampires are all the same! People are nothing but playthings to you. Even your own kind, you feel no sort of kinship towards each other. You’d think with Virsat being a fellow vampire you’d understand what he went through and yet you know nothing!” he spat his tail writhing from side to side in a whip like manner as his anger became even more clear.

To be honest though, not all of Jaden’s anger had come from the others words. He actually felt kind of hurt. He didn’t love Virsat but he did like the other male, he liked him a lot, seriously he liked him enough to go ahead and have sex with him. He wasn’t saying he wanted a life long relationship or anything stupid like that…but he did want something a bit more from this. He just didn’t know what yet. But that beside the point.

He had just opened his mouth to launch his next verbal knife but Virsat beat him to it. For several moments all he could do was stare at the other male. Clearly Virsat had more to him than Jaden had first thought. It was just one surprise after the other. And right now he loved that one of those surprises was Virsat’s anger. No it wasn’t his anger so much as the fact that finally the mild mannered vampire had snapped and was fighting back something that Jaden had tried to push him into doing earlier but it hadn’t worked. He couldn’t help but look somewhat smug as Virsat chewed E.J out. It wasn’t until the end that he felt like he had to intervene. Ok he was the wrong person to play the card about preserving ones body and crap but what Virsat was saying..well he disagreed. There were other ways of Virsat showing his appreciation for others and he wasn’t crazy about Virsat willingly doing a repeat performance of what they’d just done with someone else. Hey he liked the guy; there was nothing wrong with feeling just a bit protective of him. Right? ”No offense…but I’d really appreciate it if you didn’t share your body with every person that happens to be nice to you.” he murmured giving the enraged vampire a faint grin before he continued onwoards.”Don’t take this wrong, I like what we did but…you didn’t have to do that. I’m glad that you felt like you could reward me in such a way but personally I wouldn’t have minded if you’d given me a simple thank you or a hug.” he admitted with a soft shrug. He paled considerably as moments later E.J voiced echoed his opinion. Yikes, they actually agreed on something! Talk about unnerving…

R finally grew tired of hovering near the steps trying to eavesdrop on what was happening with Yuuichi and one of the other customers downstairs. Despite her inner wishes no one involved in the conversation had spoken up so she could hear. Sadly there was one thing she could hear: lovers quarrel of some sort. Ok now that was a tad too personal for her. Sighing she went downstairs sweeping her thick dark and still dampened hair up into some semblance of a bun as she slid behind the bar to start doing her job when someone plopped himself down in front of the bar. One brow arched slightly in silent admonishment at the way he’d ordered a drink. Normally she would have demanded he said please or something-hey she was a sucker for manners and she couldn’t stand how certain men seemed to think they could what ever they wanted just by yelling loud enough. IN her book a simple please or thank you went a long way. Smiling faintly she leaned against the bar and empty and recently cleaned glass in hand. ”I’ll get you a drink on one condition…” she murmured her voice low and inviting as gave him an alluring smile before she finished her request. ”Say please.” she ordered with a soft chuckle.

(BRB gotta do dishes please don't leave me behind. Just wait...I'll work as fast I can. *begs*)

Desmond laughed as he felt himself splashed with water. "Hey watch it Miss Drippy." He teased and ran his fingers through his hair. At the mention of people talking his intrest was perked. "You wanna go Angil? or do you want to rest more?" When he turned back to look at Rue she was already moving down the hall, her hips swaying side to side. Desmond stared for longer then he needed to and quickly turned back to Angil, his cheeks a light pink. "Whaddaya say Kiddo?"
