EJ smiled with pure happiness. Maybe, little by little, he could get Virsat to become an individual instead of a thing. He remembered how when captive animals were just suddenly let out into the wild, they would often become wild and get themselves killed, or die from starvation since they did not know how to survive on their own. Virsat was just like them. You have to gradually expose them to the world. EJ believed that he could do that for this boy. He stood up and held Virsat's head, kissing it. Of coarse you can be friends with him. I want you to have friends. Other people that you trust. He puts his finger to his chin. Jaden will most likely get angry with what I have done. Its okay though. Just have him come talk to me and I will explain everything. I wont hurt him or anything and if he really wants, I might even let him hit me. He laughed at the latter. He sat on the bed and warped an arm around Virsat's waist. He leaned to speak into his ear. Its okay if it never happens, but I am looking forward to the day you ask me. He whispered, forcing breath to hit Virsat's ear. He grinned once again and plopped down on the bed. The alcohol was mostly worn off and now he was tired. Before he knew it EJ had fallen asleep.

Continuing to look into Kiya's eyes, it takes him a few moments to finally regain his voice. Knowing surely his voice would sound dry and scratchy he decides to use their telepathic connection instead. "Kiya, love, there is one thing about you I doubt I will ever understand. Why do you lo....c-care about me." His face turns a deep crimson as he almost slipped and used the word love. Who was he to know if she loved him or not? After all, all she had ever said was she cared about him and had feelings for him. Softly pulling her face down closer to him, he leans forward slightly and kisses her a bit more passionately than he had ever done. "I just wanted you to know Kiya, that i love you, and I'm sorry for my actions. If you could ever find it in your heart to forgive me, I would greatly appreciate it. But I will never take you for granted like that again. Sofia scares me. She is unpredictable, and because she doesn't trust me, it hurt me to see you there with her. I'm sorry that I acted that way." He finally pulls away from the kiss and turns away, trying to hide the shame he knew would now be showing in his eyes and on his face.

"I want to give her another chance, but I can't. I keep having to remind myself that you are from a different clan and can't see the same things I do. Kiya, I did something very bad to that girl. Not once, but twice. I tricked her into trusting me before using my natural form, because she was too afraid of me as a human. That caused me to get curious and I kind of....peeked into her heart, to try and figure it out." He bites his bottom lip still angry at himself for ever doing that without permission. "Kiya...I read her most precious secrets. The reason she doesn't trust me is because I am male. She doesn't trust men because all they ever did was hurt her and use her. There is only one man in the tavern that has a chance to get close to her. But I doubt he will ever give her the time of day again....not with him being so wrapped up with another." He finally turns to face her again, looking at her soft lips, trying to distract himself from feeling so wretched. "Go back to her....I will return to the tavern shortly. There are some things that I need to look at. You are welcome to join me, if you truly wish, but I think you would be better suited to help Sofia than I ever will." He leans forward again to start kissing her and rolls. Placing her beneath him as he continues, getting lost in what he is doing and no longer thinking. His tail slowly and tentatively unwraps from around his waist and starts to stroke up her rib cage on her left side.

Having to pull away every so often to remind himself to breathe, Yuuichi smiles each time as he looks at her. "And because I did such a thing is why I'm afraid. I know she has no idea I did, but that doesn't make me feel any better about being such a fool." He shivers a bit, enjoying her touch as she laces her fingers in his hair. "And I meant Virsat, yes, but he is the one that the man in question is enraptured by. Jaden seems to have a past with that girl. I would never have guessed such a rough character such as him could be close to someone with a heart like hers. She is a very gentle girl....for a human." As he forms the words telepathically for 'for a human' a little bit of sarcasm and hatred bleed through his voice. "But enough about them.....you know I don't deserve someone as kind and beautiful as you, right? That was why I questioned it.....it just feels like someone as wretched and with such a warped past as myself wouldn't be worthy of your presence, much less your feelings." As soon as he finishes with the last bit, Yuuichi pulls back from kissing her and rolls away, laying on his back and staring up at the canopy of the trees. Watching a few squirrels at play he starts laughing at them, letting his mind start to drift away from matters at hand.

Finally finding his voice for the moment, Yuuichi starts to actually speak again. "Aye, if what I saw was correct. As for how long and the relationship it was, I don't know. I just saw flashes of a younger Jaden when I did that horrible task." He turns away for a moment, wondering if the guilt would leave like it always had, or would it actually stick around this time. He jumps a bit startled as she kisses him again, and just sits silent for a few moments, trying to gather his thoughts back. "Thanks, but I'm sure there are a lot of people that if they still had voices would argue with you." He winks playfully at her as he stands up and brushes himself off. He glances around their surrounding, gathering his bearings and debating on what he is going to do.

Yuuichi turns to watch her as she heads back towards the tavern a bit of sadness in his eyes. He was somewhat hoping she would join him, but understood she felt compelled to other duties and wasn't going to argue with it. "Aye, I will." He turns away from her and starts walking in the other direction heading towards a town he had become accustomed to visiting since opening his tavern. I wonder if I will still be allowed to walk the streets here....or if word of me has finally reached this town as well. He creates an illusory cloak around himself and pulls the hood over his head, not wanting to risk his luck, after all, it would suck pretty badly to have to ask Kiya to come bail him out a jail house.

After entering the town, Yuuichi moves around through crowds of people in the market, keeping his guard up and a throwing knife in his left hand, hiding it under his cloak. He turns down an alley beside one of the more prominent bars and smiles as he reaches the door to his safe house, located right behind the bar but connecting to it. He glances around for a few moments as he places his knife back in his pouch, making sure no one had followed or was watching him. Once convinced nobody was around he set forth to disabling the mechanized traps he set on the door handle and frame, making quick work of them. Finished disarming the traps he steps inside the room quickly closing the door behind him. Looking around to make sure nothing is out of place, he grabs a lone black leather bag from the table in the middle of the room. "I wonder how much I can get from them this time before being noticed." As soon as he finished talking to himself some of the words Kiya had spoken to him ring through his mind causing him to wince a little, hurt by how much of a lie it was for him to be called a good person. Forgive me Kiya.... Walking over to the wall between his safe house and the bar, Yuuichi stands there for a moment, looking at the dust collected around it, finally coming to terms that they still hadn't figured him out.

A little bit of time passes as Yuuichi finally gains control and steadies his breathing enough to make his move, listening closely to the voices and footsteps on the other side of the wall. It sounds like they are fairly slow today, hopefully they will be under staffed because of it. He reaches forward and places his right hand on the wall, feeling for a specific block after deciding that it was clear for him to sneak in. He watches part of the wall shift into itself, making no noise whatsoever and smiles, slipping through the hole and gets to work. Roaming around the stock room for the bar he starts taking bottles here and there and dropping them into his leather bag, the bag never showing to be holding anything at all, instead putting the bottles in a pocket dimension. After about ten minutes of grabbing different types of alcohol and food from the place and stuffing them in the bag, he slips back out through the hole, pressing the slot on the wall again to seal it back up.

The adrenaline finally wearing off he sighs a bit as he looks around his safe house. Content that his work is done, he tosses the bag he had brought with him into the town on the table and walks out with the one he stuffed. Checking yet again to make sure nobody is looking, Yuuichi quickly rearms all of the mechanized traps on his door before making his way back out of the town and heading towards the tavern. I really need to stop doing that, one of these days they will catch on. Plus, taking half of their stock like I did this time is going to throw a big red flag with them. Doubt I will be able to resupply from there for a long time.

Regina had fallen asleep on one of the tavern tables. she breathed lightly as she slept and nothing seemed to wake her up at this point.

Rue didn’t bother holding in her chortle of amusement as Angil denied making a pass relating to football in anyway. ”You’re right it doesn’t have anything to do with football. Still you should try telling that to any red blooded male. To them everything is a sport or game of some sort.” she said with a disdainful eye roll.”True, but those exaggerated compliments can lead to something else entirely. Its one thing to give a girl a compliment and mean it but guys don’t do that…not always. Sometimes if a girl really likes the compliment the guy might take it the wrong way and think the girl want s-“ she stopped a faint blush covering her cheeks. She wasn’t innocent, not to say she was a saint or anything but she wasn’t innocent, not as innocent as Angil anyway. Still…she couldn’t explain all of this to her! This was the parent of guardian’s job! She was a guardian but not the legal one. Where the heck was Yuuichi when you really needed him?! Still blushing slightly she sent a pleading direction in Desmond’s direction. One that clearly said : I’ll never make a mean joke about you again if you just get me out of this jam! Not that she’d ever told a particularly mean joke about him. She just liked teasing him, it wasn’t her fault, it was in her nature. Still she’d take a vow of silence as long as she didn’t have to explain that one three letter word to this kid. That right for the moment she was thinking of Angil as a kid and kids did not need to do about what guys did to girls or in today’s case: guys did to guys. There were just some things you had to experience for yourself rather than hearing about them.

(Not done yet. Working on Sofia's and Jaden's now. I tried posting yesterday and I couldn't think of anything worthwhile. Thankfully I'm out of my writer's rut. Sorry about the wait. )

Vex was tired of waiting around, she spun around in her chair and looked around the room. She saw a woman sleeping on the table, maybe she had too many and passed out. She stood and walked over to the woman. Yep, definately fast asleep. She lightly tapped her on the shoulder, "Wakey wakey..." she felt awfully cold. Vex grimaced for a second, she wasn't dead was she? The woman moved slightly. Whew. She tapped on her shoulder again, "You know, there are perfectly good beds here...hey lady, wake up..."

As he finally reaches the tavern, Yuuichi hooks the black bag to his belt and allows the illusion of a cloak to fade. This run should last us for a good while before I ever have to do this again. Slipping in the back door he immediately moves to a nearby shadow, listening to Rue explaining things to Angil. He tilts his head a little to the side as she suddenly stops explaining things, curious as to why, that is until his mind follows the path she was taking. Seeing her start to blush he fights back a little bit of a snicker at her embarrassment. He waits for a little bit, trying to see what would happen next before deciding to finally step out of the shadows, for once thinking it is wrong to eavesdrop on them. As he walks across the kitchen he places his hand on Angil's shoulder and smiles. "In short, what Rue is trying to convey, little one, is this....Don't Trust Any Man Other Than Me." He winks at Rue as he finishes speaking to Angil, enjoying the discomfort she seems to be in with the task he requested. He starts to step away and decides to pick on Rue a little bit more before he walks out of the kitchen. "Thank you, Rue, you have no idea how much I appreciate your help. But for future reference, not all of us use 'exaggerated compliments.'" Smiling wickedly after implanting the thoughts in Rue's mind, Yuuichi leaves the kitchen.

Angil hoisted herself on top of the counter top, making herself comfortable, expecting a rather lengthy explanation. However she tilted her head in confusion when Rue suddenly stopped and started to blush. Angil thought for a moment, finishing the sentence in her head. Is, is she afraid of saying sex? Does she really think I dont know what lovers do? But then again, I dont get the connection... Her mouth opened just slightly to inquire some more when she felt a hand on her shoulder. Her body moved involuntarily, quickly smacking his hand off her shoulder with one hand and the other moving to hit him in the chest, but she stopped herself just before. What was that? She looked at Yuuichi with a bit of shock and confusion. She bowed her head as he left and nodded slightly. I understand. Um, if you will excuse me, Rue, I have something I need to do. Angil hopped off the counter and followed Yuuichi out the door.

Ummm, Yuu-kun. I need to go to town. Do we need anything while I'm there? Angil wanted to get away for a little. She needed time to think on her own. Strange things were happening and she wasnt too sure what it is. She hoped he didnt need anything but then again she has no idea that he has already taken the privilege to stock the tavern himself. She stood there silently, looking at her shoes, waiting a response.

Regina woke up feeling a tap on her shoulder and sighed"mm I know theres places to sleep but I couldn't find the Owner anywere"grumbling and getting up to look at the girl"who are you?".

He stops himself from instinctively falling into a defensive stance at Angil's sudden aggression, noting in the corner of her eye that it wasn't her. So it is going to be like that I see....Slowly turn her without her knowing until you gain full control. After getting out of the kitchen Yuuichi turns to regard Angil, curious of her demeanor. "Personally, I do not like the idea of you leaving here without a guard Angil. So how about this instead, if I am right, and it is something that is bothering you, meet me up on the roof. You know I will always be here for you, not just because I promised your brother I would protect you. If you truly wish to go to town, then you take someone with you. And you know as well as I do, I will know if you try to sneak away by yourself." He smirks a bit as he softly ruffles her hair and follows it up by leaning forward and kissing her forehead. "Now, if I may be excused, I will be on the roof for a bit. Before you leave, take this bag and lay it on the counter for Desmond and Rue. Hopefully the two of them will do the work for me, but if not I will get it done." He unhooks the black bag off his hip and hands it to her before turning and walking back out the way he entered.

Once outside, Yuuichi climbs up onto the roof of the tavern and walks across it, heading towards his usual spot at the apex. It seems my hand will be forced. I really wished I could keep her innocent of it for much longer. Forgive me Saito, I tried to protect her the best I could.

The woman awoke, "Name's Vex" she said. "The owner is around here somewhere, he seems to stay pretty busy." Thinking about Yuuichi for a moment, "He's an interesting guy..." she mumbled. "Anyway, I would just looovve to help you out, she said half sarcastically, but I don't work here, I'm just staying here for a little while myself. I would say to ask the staff behind the bar, but they appear to be pretty tied up too." She sighed. All the more reason Yuuichi should accept her offer. "I'll tell you what, I need to find the owner too, I'll help you locate him for a room if you'll stop looking all creepy and dead on the table." And then she could talk to him herself about her great idea. She stood, Now where did I see him last, hmmm...

Angil's shoulders slumped. She really hoped that he would just let her go. She stood for a moment trying to think a way out of it. She knew that if she just went he would just follow her and probably give her a good beating. It was then that the voices on the other side of the room. If you are looking for Yuu-kun he has stepped out for a moment. However he should be back soon. Angil said before walking out the front door. She walked outside and looked up at the roof. You know if you wanted to meet with me, you could have always picked a place thats a bit easier to get to. You know I'm terrible at getting up there. She sighed and thought of how she was going to get up. She kind of wished she had the skills that everyone else seemed to have.

Rolling his eyes as he listens to Angil's complaints, Yuuichi can not help but laugh at her when she assumes it is easy for him to get on the roof. "Dear Angil, do you really think I pick this spot to spite you? I come up here because I like to look at the sky. How long have you known me now and still are yet to figure that small bit out. And if you think about it honey, I don't climb on the side of the building, I use a ladder. Try looking around for it?" He stands and starts walking across the roof, stopping at the edge to look down at her, smiling as he watches.
