Yuuichi smiles a bit at her responses to him petting her. I guess that just means we will have to take the time to teach it to you then. He starts to yawn a bit as he continues to pet Kiya. Sensing the embarrassment in her thoughts and words, he laughs a bit, thinking of the fact there is one thing that he didn't tell her that his clan specializes in.....reading the hearts and minds of others. After yawning a couple more times, Yuuichi slowly drifts off to sleep, holding Kiya protectively in his lap, his tail wrapped about her.

Seeing the cat jump off her lap, En stood up and looked in all open rooms of the tavern to see what was happening. She noticed everyone doing pretty much the same thing, talking. Except for Yuuichi, he was asleep with a fox on his lap. "A red fox...? Strange, only Kitsune I saw have been silver like Boss Yuuichi... oh well." she thought going back to the cat, who was sitting on the table licking the cup tea was once in. "What should I do with you? I took you in so your my pet I guess..." she said to it. The calico purred at her. "....I'll just let you be." she said going about helping anyone else who came in while everyone else took care of the guest. With the calico following her of course. "Strange for a cat to follow a Daemon..." |
Kiya yawned a large yawn that showed sharp canines, his petting started to lull her to sleep, suddenly though his hand stopped stroking her back and just laid there, glancing up at him she was surprised to find him asleep. Laying her head down on her paws, she settled down for a good sleep, but not before giving the fellow Kitsune an affectionate lick on his hand. She was still amazed to have found one of her race, even if his experiences with others of their kind hadn't been good, she still sensed the kindness inside him. Her last thought before drifting off to sleep was that she hoped to stay here at least for a little while, learn more maybe.

As he slowly opens his eyes, Yuuichi looks down and can't help but smile at the little Kitsune in his lap. I wonder in this instance, who is truly teaching the other. Am I teaching her of our kind? Or is she teaching me how to have compassion again instead of this wretched mask. He slowly lifts his hand off of her and fights the urge to stretch after waking up. He reaches forward, cautious not to jostle Kiya around as he takes a drink of his water in front of him.

Her mind said get up, her body said go back to sleep your warm, safe, and for once don't have to be on the alert, but years of habit were hard to break and Kiya lifted her head from her paws yawning widely and looking around, ears flickering in all directions, all five senses working at once to detect any danger. Now sure she was safe she stood up stretching out her small body "Hello Yuu-kun you have a very comfortable lap to sleep in" she commented turning around in his lap and laying down again, feeling lazy she didn't feel like getting up quite yet |
He laughs a little bit as he looks down on her, gently scratching behind her ears. Thank you, I guess. And you on the other hand, are as light as a feather, or perhaps an Elf. He reaches in his pocket and pulls out another cigarette to light in, knowing he probably shouldn't with her so close to him. It may drive her sense of smell away for a bit, but I'm sure if it truly bothers her she will get up. He continues scratching behind her ears with his free hand for a bit before speaking again. So, did you rest well, little one?

"Are elves really that light?" Kiya asked curiously leaning into his hand as he scratched her ears, "why do you smoke?" she asked suddenly eying the cigarette he held, she personally didn't care for the smell an it made her wonder why he did it, if like her his sense of smell was so strong. Maybe he liked the smell? Yes perhaps that was it, or she had heard humans say smoking was relaxing or some silly thing like that, a belly rub was relaxing, an petting was relaxing, a ear scratch was relaxing, inhaling toxic fumes wasn't her idea of relaxing to each his own I guess

Aye, they are. I've seen some taller than me and more muscular, that still weigh less than I do. He cringes a bit at her question about him smoking. To be honest, I don't know anymore why I smoke. I only know that I started to calm myself, so that when I think about certain things, I don't screw up. He gives her a weak smile as he looks at her, then turns his gaze away again, drawing on his cigarette, trying his best to keep smoke from blowing on her.

Little nose wrinkling at the smell that wafted towards her, although she did her best to ignore it "well to each his own, if it helps you then do it, I personally don't care much for it though that's just me" she said with a very human like shrug of her fox shoulders. Jumping off his lap she padded over to her glass and took a few laps of the water before sitting on the table facing him, now far enough away that the smoke didn't get on her. She probably needed a bath anyway but there was no need for her to stink of smoke as well.

As soon as Kiya hops out of his lap, Yuuichi reaches forward to put out his cigarette. The other bit of it, the smell of it in my human form doesn't affect me as badly as the smell when I am in natural form. Due to our heightened senses in that form, I'm sure it was probably bothering you, for that I am sorry. He watches her as he drinks, finding it a bit humoress at how she is in control of the natural things about their nature, just not the other side.

"it's alright you don't have anything to be sorry for, you were just doing something you enjoyed that isn't anything to be sorry for" she said completely unconcerned. Taking a seat down on the tabletop she swiped her paw over her muzzle the smell of smoke caused her nose to itch. Taking what he said into consideration she jumped down from the table and turned into her human form. "Well your right actually the smell of smoke doesn't bother me as much in this form" stretching her arms out above her head, Kiya stretched

As she stretches, Yuuichi glances away from her and out the window, trying to keep any redness from showing on his cheeks. To be honest, the only sense of ours that stays keen in this form is our hearing. Mainly because, you and I both, tend not to hide our ears and tail in our human form. I mean, we could if we truly wanted to, and make ourselves appear more human. But what is the point in that? He smiles a bit, thinking of the towns he has been to in his travels before he met Angil's older brother, how all the humans always looked at Saito with suspicion instead of him. The only looks he received were looks of disgust, after all, why would a 'human' be seen with an Elf.

"Yeah what is the point, I am what I am and why should I be ashamed of my cute little ears and tail, most actually think it's a costume, at least all the times I've been a 'human' in the human world" she said with a laugh wagging her tail and rubbing her ears. "One time I actually went into the human world like this and all the people commented me on how cute I looked with my fake little ears and tail" she said with a laugh remembering the scene. |
For one with a dislike and distrust of humans, you sure think kindly of them sometimes. I guess maybe you will see the point I tried to make to Virsat. Not all humans are evil. The same goes for all races. Yes there are some that have a more predominant dark side than others. But that does not make them evil. Do you agree? He smiles, finally looking back at her, entranced by her eyes as he awaits her response.

"No, there are evil people in every race, and good people as well guess not all people are evil" she said thoughtfully agreeing with him. "There's good and bad instances, and I guess the bad one's stand out more fully to me then the good ones making me untrusting. Probably my bad point" she said with a little laugh running her fingers through her hair lightly making it stick up a little

Laughing a bit, Yuuichi nods his head at what she is saying. "Aye, there are those, but do you understand why the bad instances stand out more than the good ones? It isn't just you that sees this, it is everyone, of all races in the world." He smiles a bit, sharpening his mind to make a vase with a dozen of the same roses he made appear the night prior, show up on the table for her.

Her eyes widened at the sight of the roses that appeared out of thin air, "yes because the bad things are the ones that stand out more then the good ones. Everyone remembers the bad and never the good" she said promptly
moving closer to the vase and taking a whiff of the beautiful flowers. "How do you do that?" she asked him eager as ever to learn something new, especially if it was something about herself. |
He smiles at her a bit, watching her reaction to the flowers. "Well it seems that your caretaker taught you a few things about the world. So I guess that may make some things easier. You are right, our minds remember the bad much easier than the good. After all, bad things have a stronger impact because the emotions of rage, anger, and sadness are much stronger than happiness." He bites his lip as she asks him about how to use illusionary magic, trying to find the proper words to explain it. "How about I put it like this, little one. The magic I am able to do, or better said making it tangible the way I can is something that is out of your grasp at the moment. But I should have a book that will be able to teach you the basics of the arts. Does that sound good to you?"

The roses smell perfumed the area a heady romantic sent, taking a seat on the chair across from him "I would love that where's the book?" she asked excitedly unable to sit still. Taking a drink to steady herself, she barely noticed the water wasn't cold anymore, it was warm, room temperature. "Would you be my teacher?.....How.. how can I pay you for all of this though? I don't have any money" she said suddenly worried, how could she pay him back for all the help that he gave to her.
"Really? Wow sounds very different from my home town. Were you a councilmen child? Is that how you know so much about it?" Mari piped up riveted by the images of a world different from her own. It sounded so much more... industrious. "I would advice visiting a fairy village one day I think you would really like it, especially if you want to see something new" |
Regina opens the tavern door and steps in without a sound. She notices the other visitors to this tavern and decides to sit down at a table leaning back and relaxing from her long journey. Looking around with no keen interest at anyone there she decides to wait for someone to take her order.

Ears twitching a bit at the sound of the door, Yuuichi fights his urge to move immediately so that he may answer Kiya first. "Well, it is in my room at the moment. I will pass it over to you later, ok?" His ears continue twitching as he hears the person sit down at a table not too far from him and Kiya. "Well, if your sure you want someone like me to teach you, I will try what I can. And you don't have to pay me, these are things that are natural to you, you were just never taught how to grasp them."

Sighs and smiles at the owner although she doesn't know his name"You may take your time sir". Looking around the Tavern once again at him and his customers.

Eyes flickering between Yuu-kun and the woman in the corner Kiya gestured with her chin towards her "don't worry about me for right now go take care of the customer, I will uh go take a nap in a sunny spot" she joked turning easily into the form of a fox and hopping onto the table that the sun hit perfectly warming it. Curling up in the spot on the table eyes taking in the whole bar, from the young woman at the standing at the bar talking to the fairy, to the vampire sitting on the stool near them, to the new woman in the corner.

Yuuichi smiles and pets her softly as he stand up. Before walking away, he directs his thoughts at her, showing that she isn't the only one that can do that.Thank you, little one. I'm sorry things have been cut a little short on us. He walks over to the new comer, noticing a regal air about the woman before he speaks. I see, another vampire.... He stops at her table and smiles cheerfully to her, extending his hand in courtesy as he introduces himself. "Hello Miss, I'm sorry about making you wait like that. My name is Yuuichi, is there anything I may get for you?"
