Kiya sticks her tongue out at him in a human like way looking rather comical. Laying her head down on her paws she attempted to drift off to sleep the sun warming her fur and lulling her into a peaceful like state. But even laying there in the warmth she couldn't fall asleep, yawning she stood up and hopped off the table instead taking to tailing after Yuu-kun. Pouncing on the backs of his pant legs playfully

He looks at her a bit curiously as she confirms that she is a vampire, knowing full well he never stated any such thing. Hmm...curious one we have here... He tries to divert his mind to thinking of something for her to drink for a moment before just giving in and asking, reflectively placing his right hand on his side, the wound healing somewhat but still tender. Well miss, the thing is, we have a lot of drinks in this tavern, and I'm fairly sure I can make most anything you request. All you have to do is tell me what you would like and I will get it for you. He bites his lip slightly as he feels Kiya toying with his pant leg. He smirks slightly before directing his thoughts at her again. Enjoying yourself little one? Keep that up and I may decide that the cost of my assistance will be you working for me. As he directs the last bit of it, he brings a joking yet slightly serious tone to it.

Hearing the underlying serious note in his thoughts, even if it was overlaid with a joking tone was enough to make her stop. Pouting a little she gave one last playful swipe at his pant leg before heading back to her table, hopping onto the polished wood and flashing look at him and projecting her thoughts into his mind "hey I know you thought it was cute" she teased curling up on the tabletop and instead following his movements with her eyes

Virsat had stiffened when the vampire entered and he was careful not to look her in the eyes, he had turned his head slightly, letting his long hair fall over his shoulder and hide half his face. As if he were hiding that mark under his right eye. He was. She didn't smell familiar but that did not mean much. He was surprised to see how civil she was acting. She had even ordered a drink. He knew some vampires could ingest small amounts of actual food and drink though it wouldn't nourish them. Virsat, however, could not. His diet could only be one of blood. Anything other than that and he would get terribly sick. His brow furrowed. Had she followed him? Was she going to take him back to the coven? His Master was dead, but that simply meant that Virsat would now belong to members of the coven. Like a doll to be passed around. He shifted slightly on his stool. |
"A martini it is then, if you will excuse me a moment, I will be back with one for you." He walks back towards the bar, noticing the slight discomfort in Virsat as he shifts in his stool. As he is making the drink, he hears Kiya's remark about it being cute. and thinks for a moment on how to respond to it. He looks over his shoulder at her and smiles, directing his thoughts to her to mess with her. That may be true, but there are things about me you are yet to understand. And your cuteness is already fairly overwhelming to me, no need to overdo it. He places an olive in the drink and returns to the table the woman is at, setting it before her. "Here you are ma'am, even though I must admit, I'm a bit surprised you asked for something other than the typical for your kind. And yes, I am ok, I just had a mishap in the kitchen earlier is all."

Unknown of Yuuchis friends doubt of her she thanks him quietly"Perhaps after the drink you serve me you should rest".Giving a slight glance to his friend then shuddering at his cold glance her dark eyes turned back to Yuuchi.

"Oh well fine then" she said into his mind hopping off the table and making her way around to the entrance she came in from, which happened to be located in the kitchen "I'm going to explore the area a bit Yuu-kun I'll be back later" she continued shaking her tail at him as she passed. Heading around the counter to the kitchen she went out the back nose pointed into the wind to pick up all the scents.

"Thank you very much for your thoughts, but I promise I will be fine. Now, if you would please excuse me." He bows to the woman before walking swiftly towards the kitchen, thoughts of cornering Kiya on his mind. This should be fun. As soon as he is out of sight of everyone and in the kitchen, Yuuichi shifts into his natural form, running out the back door, trying to capture Kiya's scent.

Virsat remained silent. Just sitting at his barstool. He had watched Yuuichi for a few moments, then he looked down to study the bartop. The tall vampire should have been an intimidating sort, but he wasnt, he was just a bit timid. A little unsure, and maybe just a tiny bit paranoid. He was frowning just slightly. Trying to decide on what he should do. Probably leave. Or maybe procure a room...though he kept leaning towards the idea of leaving. But. Earlier, Yuuichi had told him this place was a haven. So surely he would be safe here? Even if they did let humans in as well. Virsat shuddered a moment. |

Virsat shifted, his elbow rested on the bartop, and the palm of his hand rested on the side of his face. His long black and crimson hair still hung over that shoulder as well. Effectively and effeciently, he hoped, hiding the mark on his face from the other vampire. He smiled politely to her, letting the light glint off his fangs, though such an action wasn't necessary. Vampires generally knew when they were in the presance of others of their kind...At least...all the ones Virsat had known. He spoke softly. His voice was cool and did not hold a hint of the nervousness he felt. "Greetings...I am Virsat."

"And the game is on, this should be fun" she teased taking off into the brush doing her best to stay upwind from the white fox that was Yuu-kun. Her small paws made little noise on the leaves as she raised through the bushes exhilarated in the run in the little game they were playing. Her ears caught the sound of a trickling brook nearby and she made her way towards it. The water washed over her paws soaking them as she lowered her muzzle and lapped up the cold water, lifting her head she scented the wind and couldn't smell Yuu-kun's now familiar scent. Stepping into the water she followed it for a short time stopping every now and then to sniff the wind. |

Aye that it is, and the best part, I have one trick up my sleeve that you do not. So your idea of trying to keep me from catching your scent won't work little one. You see, we of the snow clan can do some things that other clans can't. Like looking into the hearts of others, and sensing their surroundings. If it wasn't for my ability to do this, Angil's brother would never have entrusted me to protect her when I started travelling again. He keeps his body a bit low as he runs, making sure he stays in areas that his fur won't give him away as he closes the distance between them. With each step of his paws, sounds softer than pin-drops are made.

"Well la di da to you then" she teased, if he really could get a sense of her surroundings then it wasn't tricks and strategy that would get her away but pure speed stepping out of the brook she shook the water droplets off that clung to her fur. Speed would have to do it then dashing off into the brush she moved quick as her little paws could take her deeper into the woods surrounding the inn. "catch me if you can my furry friend" she teased scampering past a particularly large tree and stopping to get a little breather hoping she had put a good bit of distance between the two.

Virsat wished Yuuichi hadn't run off. He would have asked for a room key and made some excuse as to why he needed to excuse himself and dashed off. As it was, if he just jumped up now and ran for the door it would be rude and if she was after him, would only confirm suspicions she may have about him. "I am fine.." He watched her carefully. Had she just insulted him? He wasn't too sure. Those crimson eyes blinked rather innocently. "W-what...do you mean?"

Virsat faltered for a moment. He watched her carefully, his brow furrowing slightly. "What should a vampire fear in this place?" He spoke as if he had been insulted. Sounding not angry, but as if his pride had been wounded instead. He was trying his best not to give himself away completely. Afterall, he still didn't know if this girl was a member of a coven or just on her own. Or hired by his master's coven to drag him back there. Would they even waste such expenses on him? Maybe.

Jaden Nicholas Green was running a bit late for his job at the Tavern for the Weary Heart. It wasn't his fault! He'd been minding his own feline business when some mangy old stray mutt had decided to play chase the kitty. It wasn't a fun game. As a matter of fact, it was his least favorite game. Why? Well who exactly enjoys being drooled on?! Not this neko. Not all. Which was why he was letting out the loudest most plaintive yowl he could as he shot through the forest ever hair on his slim body standing up in fear and utter revulsion. Of all the days to chose to come to work as a cat! Hissing and spitting he scooted under a particularly thorny push and raced up to the tavern only to slam to a stop as he noticed the closed door. Oh crap! If possible his hair rose up another inch as the stray let out a soft bark of frustration before barging through the thorns with a soft yelp. When the wolf saw its target it let out a baying howl before leaping towards Jaden. Yowling Jaden didn't hesitate a moment before he scaled up the nearest tree and entering the tavern via the nearest first floor window. Still hissing and spitting in obvious fury he climbed up an unfortunate visitor's (Virstat's )leg his claws snicking softly as they easily punctured the fabric of his pants. Shivering he pressed his trembling body close to the strangers his one good eyes zipped around the room his ears twitching as the hounds howls slowly got softer and softer until it was quiet outside.
In his cat form Jaden was quite a sight. One eye functioning eye-the other covered by an eye patch, an ear with three silver studs piercing the delicate skin and the color of his fur wasn't that of a usual cat. Which could only mean one thing-provided the person knew the right signs to look for in a neko or kitsune. There were a few humane traits (like his fur color and the piercings) but other than that it was a bit difficult to tell. The frightened (and severely ticked) neko stayed perched in Virstat's lap its sharp claws digging into the vampires skin as its ears twitched with each softening bark. Finally once the barks and howls silenced completely the neko let out a soft sigh sprawling out lazily in Virstat's lap its tail twitching lazily from side to side. 'Dumb mutt! Dogs! What good are they anyway? All they do is drool and beg for scraps. At least cats are independent! We don't need someone constantly petting us or calling us a good boy (or girl)' he thought vehemently as he forced his pounding heart rate to slow. (Lol so far I looove Jaden. He's going to be a trip to play. I'll bring in Sofia soon.) |
Virsat studied her carefully. Licking his lips slightly to moisten them just a bit. "I sought refuge from the sun...I had no time to go to ground." Such an odd phrase, but he knew that she would know what it meant. He was lying a bit, he'd had plenty of time to dig a quick grave to sleep in. Virsat hating sleeping in the ground like that. That, and as tired as the sun being up made him feel, he did not want to sleep at all. He didn't want to get caught unawares. He would fight for his freedom. He couldn't do that in the throes of vampire sleep. It was a deep slumber that one couldn't be roused from except with the setting of the sun.
True he'd had some blood earlier, Yuuichi had been kind enough to give his own, but Virsat hadn't had a proper rest in a few days or nights. His skin was pale, as it should be, but the pallor seemed a bit wrong. Virsat did well to hide his tiredness from others. Non vampires wouldn't be able to recognize it right away. Though he wasn't sure this one would recognize it either. He was still trying to decide if he could trust her or not. |
"Oh I understand that rather well"she smiled and nodded at him"I had to find dark places to sleep as well"observing him and still trying to figure him out. Her long journey here caused her to sleep in dark places which was a safe haven until this place. "you do indeed live in a safe place but don't you prefer to sleep in a bed?". she was a bit thirsty herself but not wanting to frighten anyone decided to ignore the thirst for now.
