"I haven't slept in a bed in a very long time..." He spoke the words softly. Though he did seem to be relaxing just slightly. Only slightly. He kept a wary gaze on her though. Deciding it wouldn't be bad to relax a tiny bit. As long as he stayed alert and watched her carefully, she wouldn't catch him offguard if she was here to take him back. At least, that was how he saw it. Virsat prefered dark cellars or basements. It was what he was used to.

LonelyOtaku97 06-25-2011 06:35 AM

"Aw well I understand then but a bed is prefered"sensing his waryness just a little bit she decided to change the subject."so is there a basement around here you sleep in?"seeming to not know alot about her vampire abilites since she was only over 100 years old and still learning "Just please trust me ok?".

][I'm very sorry Bookworm. I didn't mean to over look your post. ][

Earlier when the cat had clambored up his legs to lay in his lap, Virsat's left arm had unconsciously dropped down to touch the feline. It's heart pounded, he could feel it. Hear it. The vampire had glanced down at the cat for a moment, and then he had begun to stroke it lightly. Almost absently, but somehow in a reassuring way. The small creature seemed frightened or upset about something and Virsat might be nervous around other vampires and even humans, but not a cat. Cats were the guardians of the underworld..or so he had once been told...It was the first time since he'd become a vampire that a cat had willingly come to him. Most hissed, spit and ran. Some creatures just didn't like the scent or presance of a vampire. So Virsat was absolutely treasuring the fact that a cat was laying in his lap.

Even as he shifted about on his stool and spoke with this female vampire, with his cheek resting against his right hand, his left had continued to gently. Contently stroke the cat. For a moment he glanced down at the small creature, then his attention was on the female vampire again. His petting of the cat did not stop. "No..I don't know..I have not been in this area very long.." He gave her a thoughtful look and shook his head slightly. "Trust is a thing that must be earned.."

LonelyOtaku97 06-25-2011 06:54 AM

She watched to cat jump onto his lap"aw I see then"putting a hand under her chain and thinking about him with deep fascination"If anything I can rest outside during the day"wanting to stroke the cat but refraining to do so with fear it would not like it.

(It's alright. ^_^ Thank you for replying.)

aden's one good eye drifted shut before opening in a slow blink. Whoa...was someone petting him? He hadn't expect kind of reaction. To be honest when he'd effortlessly scaled the stranger's leg he'd expected to be thrown across the room-that was how it usually went and it was the only reason he'd done it-to get a rise out of the customer. It wasn't a nice thing to do but then again Jaden wasn't a nice person-well morally he was- but as far as personality wise he'd have to say he was a bit of a rebel heck he'd even go so far as to say he was the bad boy type. Now back to the customer, stretching slowly, Jaden arched his back letting out a soft 'meow' as the strangers hand moved over his coat in soft reassuring strokes. Dang, if he'd know he was going to get a nice reaction today he would have climbed into the lap of one of the female visitors! Then he would have gotten smothered with kisses then again this guy wasn't so bad. It wasn't like he was picky about what gender he got attention from. Although if he was honest he'd have to say he much more preferred a guys company to a girls. Why? Heck if he knew, the creator of this world had made Jaden the way he was for a reason, who was to even question that reason? sure he questioned everything else but this one thing he wouldn't question.

As the time ticked by, Jaden had completely laid himself out in the strangers lap his body vibrating with a long low purr of satisfaction. Ahh this was the life. A nice warm lap to lay in, someone who didn't mind petting him, no job to worry about-oh thats what he was forgetting! He had a job! Instantly his purring ceased as Jaden sat up his ear twitching slightly as he listened. Where was the boss man at? He didn't hear him..shifting into a sitting position, Jaden took a delicate whiff of the air before letting out a brief hum of approval. He was safe! Yuuichi wasn't here and he couldn't be fussed at for being late. Again. Humming in amusement he stretched slowly before he stood carefully making his way across Virsat's lap and pressing himself against the visitors hand in a silent thank you. Leaping out of the stranger's lap Jaden gracefully landed on his feet. Alright enough with this polite bit. He'd sat there an allowed himself to be petted and adored. Now it was time to return to business as usual. Tossing an amused look over his shoulder Jaden allowed himself on long last stretch before his shifted into his human form with a soft popping sound from his muscles as grew taller and bigger.Smirking softly he crossed his arms over his chest as he turned to watch his small audience's reaction to that sudden change. From a cute (well semicute) and cuddly cat to a big lanky male with faint scars crisscrossing in faint lines across his skin. "Well that was a nice welcome." with a soft smirk.

Kry 06-25-2011 07:30 AM

][If it happens again, just smack me with a book or something. <3 ][

"...This place has rooms upstairs...There is a human already occuping one.." He had shivered slightly when he spoke the word human. He didn't stop petting the cat either. He could do that forever, if the cute furry critter let him. Virsat's eyes didn't leave the other vampire. Perhaps he was being too cautious of her? But how was he supposed to know if it wasn't just some kind of trick? For a few moments he lightly bit his bottom lip. Thinking. Then the cat had leaped out of his lap, causing the vampire's thoughts to crash like a train wreck. He frowned deeply. Well..that hadn't lasted as long as he had hoped, but longer than he had expected.

Crimson eyes turned from the female vampire to watch the cat. When the cat suddenly changed from cat to man, Virsat's skin turned a shade paler than it should have been. His heart, if it were beating, would have skipped quite a few beats. "...You..." Virsat had moved, he wasn't sure what he had tried to say, or where he was trying to go, but he had stood quickly. And tried to step away from the bar, or the cat..man..or something. Only to trip over the stool he had been sitting on. Virsat hit the floor a bit hard. The mark on his face uncovered by hand and hair now, was a easy identifiable mark. If the female had come to take him back, she would know immediatly from seeing that mark that he was the one she hunted. For a moment he closed his eyes tightly, then opened them. Not yet moving. He was trying to sort his thoughts.

True, Virsat had not reacted like that when Yuuichi changed. But. Yuuichi was a Kitsune. A fox demon or spirit. Such things were expected of them. This cat, to Virsat had seemed like any normal kitty. So the change, when it went from cute cat to...attractive male...Virsat was caught off guard. Completely surprised. He didn't even know cats could do things like that!

LonelyOtaku97 06-25-2011 07:33 AM

"Oh no"she quickly slides of the stool to help him."how did you get this?"not touching the mark on his face but noticing how sickly and pale he was."when was the last time you've had blood"making haste to try and help him up with superhuman strength that she was adjusting to.how odd for him to have thesetrying to remember who turned was bad enough but these marks were so odd.

bookwormiam2010 06-25-2011 08:02 AM

(Since you asked so nicely I'll make sure to do that. XD)

B
ingo! That was more like the reaction he was looking for! Well not the whole falling over a chair thing, but the shocked surprise? That was something he'd wanted to see. If there was surprise then a little excitement was sure to follow. Which was exactly what this tavern needed right now. It was always so quiet and peaceful back there in the kitchen. Every now and then did get tired of listening to himself bang pots and pans around. Now that he'd achieved that he could go on with his day. Right after he helped his new friend up. Heh, friend was the wrong word maybe acquaintance was a better word. Stretching lazily he leaned forward and started to help him up only to stop as the male's companion leaned forward. Well there went his good deed for the day..

Seeing the odd brand resting under the visitor's eyes Jaden's brow creased in curiosity his tale swinging from side to in a leisurely manner. "That's a different mark. How'd you get it?" he asked with a curios lilt of his head. It was none of his business, but then again he was pat cat, it didn't matter if it was his business or not. If he was curious about it, he was going to ask questions. And considering the line of work he was in he'd seen a lot of things and heard a lot of stories. It was one of the reasons he loved (what a shock!) his job. Even if he did spent a lot of time back in kitchen. He had good hearing so it wasn't like he missed out on a lot of things. His sight..that was another story. he had one eye that actually worked there wasn't much he could see at one time. When the male's friend mentioned something about blood understanding dawned. Ahhh a vampire. he should have expected as much with the whole cool body temperature but he hadn't been thinking straight, he'd been distracted. not that it was that surprising, he was part cat! He was easily distracted. But right now he had a job to do. "Do you need something to drink? If you'd like I could go get you something." he offered calmly. He doubted Yuuichi had any blood in stock but he didn't mind providing a little. It wasn't like it'd matter if he wound up with one more scar, and beside his blood was going to a good cause. It'd bring some color to his face. "How rude of me. It seems I've forgotten my manners again. I'm Jaden Green and you are?" he asked flashing the vampire a faint half grin. He didn't care about his manners, he had them but whether he chose to use them was completely up to him. In this case he'd use them. It might work to his benefit.

][theres a link to what the mark looks like on my profile. just in case no one saw it. -shrug-][

Virsat was very quiet. He was trying to collect his thoughts. "I...it....My master.." He mumbled the words out a bit as he reached up to brush his fingers across the mark under his right eye. Both seemed to want to help him up, but the female vampire seemed to have gotten to the action faster than the cat..boy..erh...man? Virsat was terribly confused. He stood though, with the help of the female and gave a slight shake of his head. "No...I had some earlier...." Virsat's body trembled just slightly and he reached up to push some hair from his face. Blinking a bit he looked from the female to the male for a moment.

Then the cat introduced himself. It would be rude for Virsat not to do the same, and Virsat wasn't rude..well..usually...at least not on purpose. Most of the time. "Oh.." He still seemed to be trying to collect his thoughts, and he had reached out to put a hand on the bar top to steady himself. "..I..I am Virsat.." He looked to the other vampire and gave her a nod and light smile. His way of thanking her for helping him up. "..I...didn't know kitties could do that.."Virsat watched her a bit as he spoke though mostly he watched her to see if she knew cats could change like that.

Smiling at Virsat whom had appreciated her help then nodding back in approval. She then turned to Jaden"Its nice to meet you"glancing sideways at the vampire for a second then back to the mysterious creature that was a cat before and a human now. their all an interesting bunchshe had been thinking to herself.

p2mangil 06-26-2011 04:05 AM

((Gomen-nasai!! I'm sorry I fell asleep last night ><))

Angil just kind of stared at the floor. Ya I was a Councilman's daughter.... She started to think about her home, her family and why she left. She missed her mother and brother, but not much her father. He never wanted a daughter to begin with. He was perfectly fine with just his son, his heir. Angil was expected to only be seen when he wanted to show her off in order to find her a husband or to meet a potential husband. This aggravated her. She was not some item to be sold to the highest bidder, but her father thought of her that way. That was the only good thing about having a daughter, he could use her to increase his power. She noticed the new comer enter the tavern but hoped Yuu-kun would take care of her.

Angil got up and walked behind the bar to get herself some water to drink. Then out of no where a cat jumped through the window. It didnt bother her too much since she knew who it was from the markings. This man...Jaden. Angil didnt know him well and has never had the chance to talk to him much. All she really knows is that he came to Yuu-kun for a job and now he is here. She wants to get to know him a little more but just hasnt found a time to do so...

bookwormiam2010 06-26-2011 05:47 AM

( I like the mark! Its kind of pretty. But considering what it means for Virsat…it takes away from the prettiness. Poor Virsat!)

J
aden waited patiently his ears twitching slightly as Virsat stumbled over his words. Heh, a nervous vampire. Now that certainly was a unique combination. What did this vampire have to be scared of? Jaden might look a little ruff but he was pretty harmless unless you got him really riled up. Then he didn’t hesitate to show his claws, but tried to only do that in self defense. When Virsat finally introduced himself Jaden gave the vampire a soft smile and nodded ”Its nice to meet the both of you.” he said to the vampire pair before he stiffened softly hearing Angil’s voice. Uh oh..so much for not being caught. Oh well all Yuuichi could/would do was yell at him again. It wasn’t anything to be overly frightened of.

Jaden was preparing to go and take his place in the kitchen before he heard Virsat murmur something about kitties. Chuckling he turned back giving Virsat a grin. ”Normal kitties can’t do that. But the last time I checked I wasn’t a normal cat there fore I don’t have to follow the normal kitty rules.” he explained with a soft chuckle before he spoke again. ”Actually, even if I was a normal cat I still wouldn’t follow the rules. I’m not a big fan of rules. Are you?” he asked. He wasn’t just talking to Virsat alone, he was talking to his female friend as well so if she decided to she could jump into the conversation.

Kry 06-26-2011 06:19 AM

Virsat watched the cat. Glancing once to Angil, and a few times to the female vampire. Mostly his eyes were on Jaden. His thoughts were still a little scattered, but he seemed to be recovering them fast. His hand resting on the bar top and a tiny bit of color began to return to his too-pale skin. "..Rules..are supposed to be obeyed...Rules are not supposed to be broken..." He spoke the words slowly. Hesitantly. As if he really didn't understand what Jaden meant. Virsat had broken a rule when he ran away...and he did not want to face the consequences. Breaking rules was not fun. Especially if one got caught.

The vampire shivered. He wasn't a fan of rules though, well. Certain ones, still. He wasn't a fan of facing the consequences either. "...Are the consequences really worth it?" He mumbled the question softly. Stilling looking rather innocently confused.

p2mangil 06-26-2011 06:28 AM

Angil looked up at Virsat when he said something about following rules. She was getting frustrated, so many things sem to be making her think of her father. He was a rule man as well. I like what Jaden thinks. Rules are only there for others to control you. She blurted out angrily to no one in particular. Her teeth clench a little thinking a little more on her past.

bookwormiam2010 06-26-2011 06:38 AM

Oh boy. He’d had to pick one that was afraid to break a few rules here and there! Shoot, he’d thought for sure that Virsat was a bit of a rule breaker. If not that, then a rebel of some sort, really his hair was super long. No self respecting masculine guy would let his hair grow that long if he wasn’t out to break some kind of rule or rebel against some unspoken cause. But all the same, he did have a point. Not all rules. Some rules are just meant to be disobeyed. I mean if we followed the rules all the time we’d never have any fun. To my knowledge I’ve only got one life and I want to live it to the fullest. I can’t do that if I’m always following the rule and doing what others ask of me.”

H[/b]earing Virsat’s follow up question, Jaden sighed softly and rolled his eyes upwards. ”Honestly..no the consequences aren’t always worth the while. But the events before those consequences are put into action? Those are worth it.” he explained. He let out a low chuckle his tail still twitching lazily from side to side as he surveyed Angil after her little outburst. ”Angil gets it. Rules mean being controlled. Can you honestly sit there and say you enjoy being controlled? What about not being able to do, think, or say what you wanted? I wouldn’t be able to handle that. I’d end up snapping on someone.”

(I’m exhausted. Its almost three where I live. I’m going to bed now. Night and sorry about the late replies.)

Kry 06-26-2011 06:52 AM

"...But...If rules were meant to be disobeyed...then..why would the rule breakers suffer punishment when they were caught?" Clearly it didn't make sense to him. If it was okay to break rules, then there would be no punishment for doing such a thing. Right? This cat was a bit confusing. Virsat blinked, looking wide eyed and a bit surprised. "...I thought..cats had nine lives...?..." Lips parted just slightly and his brow had knit in confusion. Then he shook his head slightly, as if that weren't important.

Virsat had not liked being controlled. He had not liked being told what to do all the time, but he had suffered through it for a very long time it had almost become routine. At least, not so routine that he didn't dash off the first chance he got. Still. "...Some people cannot function properly without someone telling them what to do.." Again he sounded rather hesitant. Uncertain. He seemed to be doing prettly well without someone standing over him and telling him what to do or what not to say.

][lol late replies are better than no replies. have a good sleep <3][

p2mangil 06-26-2011 07:00 AM

Angil sighed to calm herself a little. She nodded when Virsat spoke again. That is true. Untill they get the courage to try to do things themselves. She looked at the drink in her hands. My father use to control me all the time. I was raised that way so I knew no different. But a boy came into town. He was alot like Jaden. He wondered from town to town doing whatever he wanted. I met him by chance in the market and we became friends. Father was furious that I made friends with someone like him. That was the first time I told him no...

bookwormiam2010 06-26-2011 05:07 PM

(I’m on for the moment. I don’t know how long I’ll be on though. Today is my dad’s and my cousin’s birthday. So we may or may not be going out to celebrate. So if I disappear that’s why. ^^)

J
aden held in a sigh as he tried to make his point to Virsat. Although, clearly words weren’t helping the young (well somewhat young), and willful neko to prove a point, he liked to talk; he just preferred to do something besides stand about while he did it! ”Well I personally think its because the rule enforcers have a stick up their a-I mean butts.” Jaden said with a soft scowl. He’d almost cussed in front of Virsat but for some reason or another he’d stopped. It wasn’t like he thought Virsat hadn’t heard a muffled curse or to but there was an air of innocence, of absolute naiveté and cluelessness about the vampire, that made him seem very childish. Or maybe that was just Jaden’s impression of Virsat. ”Like I said it think it’s because the enforcers are miserable. They don’t get to have fun they have to enforce the rules, so to take out their anger and boredom they like to punish those of us those openly rebel against the rules. Because unlike them we, the rebels and rule breakers of the world, have the actual guts to go and do something that is forbidden and looked down on by others.” he explained.[/color]

Holy flying cows, he was using some big words, normally he minced his words and tried to keep it simple but right now he felt very…sophisticated. Who would have thought talking to a vampire would have this affect on him? It wasn’t like this was his first time meeting a vampire, and yet all the other vampires had ever done to him was bore him to death (not literally but they’d come very close to it) but with Virsat it wasn’t like that. He was different, not just in personality but in presence as well.

His thoughtful mood faded at the mention of cats and their numerous supply of lives.”Supposedly they do. I think its just a myth. And even if it wasn’t, there’s no way I’d ever put my life on the line to die for the breaking of one rule. I think I’d just as soon take a small beating,” he explained pausing to hold out a bare lightly tanned arm to show him the cross crossing of fading scars before he continued”rather than die. I’m not ready to go to hell yet..” he explained with a wry grin as he pulled his arm away.

Jaden’s nose wrinkled adorably in obvious dislike at the thought of someone being unable to live without someone else calling the shots.”Are you kidding me? Why? It doesn’t make sense. Its freedom, you’re finally allowed to do what you want, when you want, how you want to do it. It’s perfect, how could someone not function under those conditions?” he asked with a curious lilt of his head. His ears twitched slightly as Angil spoke up explaining how she’d went through a situation. Chuckling, Jaden didn’t bother to his grin as she mentioned meeting a boy like him.”And yet, people are always saying that rebels like me are no good. I will never understand when there are people like Angil who benefit from my services.”

Kry 06-26-2011 05:42 PM

][If you go celebrate I hope you have fun, and I hope your dad and cousin have a good birthday. It's kinda weird. Today seems a day for birthdays, one of my friends turned 21 today.][

Virsat was watching Jaden with interest. The cat's views on things were very different than his own. A little confusing, but a little refreshing as well. "...But...if someone has been controlled their entire life....when they finally break free...they have no where to go. No idea what they can and can't do...No idea what they should do. What is expected of them and those around them....It is hard to function with all those uncertainties.." Virsat was frowning a bit, and he had picked up the stool that had fallen over when he'd tripped.

Now he sat on that stool, looking to Angil for a few moments. "...Surely...Your father thought he was protecting you?" That head tilted to the side slightly. "Fathers are protective of their children...aren't they? They would never do anything to purposely harm their families...would they?" That brow was creased again. He wasn't sure where his idea of families came from, he couldn't remember his childhood or his parents. He only remembered a little of his life before being turned and all that time and the time after had been spent with his master.

Malayn 06-26-2011 07:24 PM

As he continues running, acting like he is chasing Kiya, a small idea pops into Yuuichi's head. Oy little one, it works better when the place you are being chased in, isn't familiar to your pursuer. He starts dashing in and out of trees, making what looks to be a round-a-bout way to cut her off. By the way, what do I get if I catch you? Along with his words, Yuuichi sends an image of him winking at her.

p2mangil 06-26-2011 07:56 PM

Angil's eyes got wide when Jaden showed his marks on his arms. She was lucky that her father wasnt the beating kind. He came close once though. Luckily her mother was there to stop him. She tried to think more on the event but for some reason she couldnt remember. It just gave her a large headache. She closed here eyes and rubbed them. Angil then looked at Jaden in shock when he mentioned going to hell. Why would you go to hell? You dont seem like a bad person. You might have killed a couple of people, but that would have been because you were protecting yourself or another, right? She asked innocently.

Angil thought for a moment on Virsat's question. If he was doing it to protect anyone it would be himself. Father did not care for anyone without rank. If you had no power, then he wanted nothing to do with you, and he didnt want his family associating with you either.

((I'm going to be getting off soon. Gotta get back to work but I will be on around 930-10))

bookwormiam2010 06-27-2011 05:20 AM

(lol my dad is getting closer to fifty and my cousin turned four. I had an alright time..but I felt kind of out of place at the party though. I didn’t really know anyone. On the bright side…the cake was awesome! ^^)

J
aden rolled his eyes softly as Virsat pointed out the flaw in his previous words. Uncertainties, unsmirchanties! True it was hard to function with uncertainties but you couldn’t let those uncertainties hold you back from finding your own person, from branching out and facing your fears. If you let the uncertainties rule you then you only ended up in more trouble. At least that’s what had happened to him. That’s how he’d learned to fake it until he made it. If he showed his uncertainties then he was screwed but he pretended to be confident then things tended to work to his advantage. And eventually the confidence he was trying to exude, to make others believe in, it was real. This just went to show that if one truly believed in something then it always worked out in the end.”Right. It’s hard. But it’s not impossible. he argued back with a victorious smirk. Ah! The end was near! He’d won this friendly little debate. At the moment, his smile bared an uncanny resemblance to the cat who’d eaten the cream. Right now he felt like a very happy and satisfied kitty.

At the mention of over protective fathers though the grin slid right off his face to be replaced by a vicious snarl.”Psha! There’s a difference between protective, and domineering. From what I’ve heard of Angil’s father he seems to have had a hard problem seeing that difference. Hmph, clearly you were raised in a very different time from me then because my dear loving father had no problem hurting me or my family.” he muttered darkly his tail lashing angrily from side to side. Clearly he wasn’t a family man, never had been and never would be. He loved his mom what sane person didn’t?! His mom had been an angel, a saint even. His dad on the other hand, that despicable man was one reason he’d possibly consider going to hell sooner than he intended. Not a good reason, but the scumbag had caused so much trouble and strife in his life it was hard not to want to get a little revenge.

Jaden let out a yowl of surprise as he heard Angil’s assumptions about him. His green eye widened as he spun around to face Angril the hairs on his tail standing straight up as he sputtered softly in surprise before he seemed to find his voice.”Excuse me?! Do I look like a killer to you?”he demanded hotly. Seeing the younger girl’s expression he hurried ahead to put those ideas to a halt.”I haven’t killed anyone! I might have sent a few jerks off to find a doctor but that’s it! I’ve never killed someone or raised a hand towards someone who didn’t do anything wrong. I’m not like my dad or those cheesy rule enforcers!” he hissed angrily his one good and uncovered eyes shooting o sparks of absolute anger his slender body trembling with barely contained anger.

(Thank you Angil! You just gave me an idea for Jaden’s past. Up until now I didn’t really have anything in mind for him but you just helped me out! Thanks ^^)

Kry 06-27-2011 06:25 AM

Virsat sat and listened to what Angil and Jaden said. He pondered on it for a bit looking just a little surprised and a bit sad when Jaden mentioned his father had no problem hurting his family. Crimson eyes blinked. "...But...Families are supposed to look out for each other...protect...not hurt each other.....Aren't they?" Virsat didn't sound very certain and when Jaden got angry at Angil's words, he had flinched rather visably. Even though that anger wasn't directed at him, he drew back just slightly.

Wary eyes watched the cat. Would Jaden lash out in his anger? Virsat expected it. He was used to such things. It would be a shame though for someone as nice as Angil to get hurt. His body tensed, on impulse, Virsat stood and stepped close to Jaden. Hesitantly, a little afraid, the vampire reached out and curled his cool fingers gently around Jaden's wrist. Then that hand moved slowly up to Jaden's elbow and back down to his wrist before going back up. The touch was gentle, as if Virsat was trying to calm Jaden down with such a simple touch.

Virsat's body was tense, almost trembling. Afraid that Jaden's anger would only flare up and turn towards him. At least, if that happened, Angil would be safe from the anger. Though only if such a small distraction as this actually brought Jaden's attention back to him. Virsat's voice was very low, it barely trembled. "Please...I don't think she meant to offend you..." If Jaden turned his eyes to Virsat, the vampire would not meet his gaze.

p2mangil 06-27-2011 06:46 AM

Angil jumped when Jaden snapped at her. Her body tensed and red was starting to flow from her pupils, covering her usually ice blue irises. I-I'm sorry It wasnt meant as an insult. Its just.... You seem like the type of person that would so what ever he had to protect himself or another person. She looked down, her eyes are now fully red, and somewhat a cold look. Even if you were to kill another you would still not be like those bastards. They harm out of hatred and ignorance. At least if you were to kill them, you would be doing this world a favor. Angil spoke with a much harsher, lower tone, rather than her usual sweet peppy voice.

Jaden wasn’t angered so much as insulted. True he was a little worse for wear, but did he truly look like a killer? He didn’t have a problem kicking an unwanted visitor out of the tavern and he certainly didn’t have a problem standing up for himself. But there was a fine line between defending and completely obliterating someone. His father had crossed that line; he didn’t want to even toe the line. Mostly because he was afraid of resembling his father in another way other than his appearance and..well killing was wrong. No matter how one looked at it, it wasn’t right. Then again considering some peoples situations like a vampires where said creature needed blood to survive it was a bit complicated. Heh when he looked at it that way if he ever decided to kill someone he’d kill someone the world could do without. A criminal or someone who’d committed a true crime.

He was brought of his thoughts by the feel of a cool hand sliding up and down his arm. Arching one eyebrow in silent question Jade turned to face Virsat a bemused making his lips curl up slightly as he looked at the vampire. Virsat didn’t have to say a word, Jaden had a pretty good idea what he was thinking. He’d seemed somewhat anger and he’d jumped to conclusions thinking he’d lash out at Angil. It was sad really, he’d just gotten through revealing a small part of his pas and he’d revealed quite a few of beliefs as well. Hitting someone in anger at a time like this was something he was very much against. Still, as scared as Virsat looked right now he was still trying to protect Angil. It was a touching gesture to say the least and the touch on his arm did feel very relaxing. Smiling he purred softly in contentment as he watched the hand stroking his arm. Hmm should he pretend to be mad still so Virsat wouldn’t stop? That would be something he’d usually do then again with the way things were going to today wasn’t a usual day-

His blood ran cold hearing Angil’s sweet voice turn harsh and cold. That was odd, he hadn’t thought the sweet tempered little elven girl possible of anything other than sweet and peppy and yet she didn’t seem to have any problem pulling off the dark menacing voice..A slight chill swept through him and his ear twitched tilting towards Angil as he watched her quietly.”Maybe I would..or maybe I’d just be stirring up more trouble. You didn’t know my dad; I’m a lot more like him than you know…even so that’s beside the point. You’re making out to be a saint and the last time I checked I was anything but that. Saints don’t go to hell.” he reminded the bare with a soft shrug of his slim shoulders a wry grin gracing his features as he continued to watch Angil.
