Thorn pulls the scraggled note from the window - Wait, did the girl in the stained glass just turn around? No, surely she was always standing like that...

I've been going around in circles. They must be waiting for something...
They come and go in a pattern, I know it. Once I figure out this pattern I will be able to avoid them easily. Perhaps they are attracted to certain things, or leaving hints to where they will come from? Oh, I must find my dear friend and be rid of this place!

Suddenly, the candles go out, and the room becomes pitch black. Is that the wind cackling like that? Or is it something much worse...

((I'll be suggesting you find some place to hide...))

Dero jumped to his feet and in the blink of an eye had struck a match, which he held out in front of him. "GIVE ME BACK MY PARROT!!" He yelled. The match flickered for a few moments before the wind blew it out. A chill grew up his spine. Dero barely remembered where the bed was, but he dove towards it, hoping to hide under. The... Wind? Was giving him a REALLY bad feeling.

((Liking the fear-factor xD I'm imagining this with knots in meh stomach))

Andraus felt it, and didnt like it. he decided to hide in the room, and lock the door, but pulled the two of them with him "stay quiet!"

Thorn felt strangely at ease and left the sanctuary of her two comrades, marching, maybe into danger, proudly across the hall to the second door on the left ((as we entered it)) to see if she could open it. Although at ease, she was still a little scared, but she new well enough from her dealings as an oracle to never let your guard down, and not to let the others sense your fear. For, fear spreads like wild fire.

The truth was that she just needed to get out of the panic and mania and go into a quiet place to think of her next move. That is of course if she could get into the room she so desired, and there was nothing worse in that room.

((I think I might should have this thread moved to horror XD. I'm going to assume Thorn is not in the room with you two because the two posts are a tiny bit conflicting.))

The unlocked door swings open, creaking as it does. Suddenly, a loud WHOOSH is heard, and a strong wind whips through the hallway, closing the door as Thorn enters the new room. Demonic whispers fill the hallway, and as quickly as they came, stop. Have these apparitions left so hastily?
Thunk.
Thunk.
...Something -or perhaps somethings- was in the hallway, sniffing the air.
Thunk.
Thunk.
THUNK.
Closer and closer to the room in which Andraus and Dero were hiding. Now scratching at the door.
Clang. Clang. Clang.
The scratching stopped, and a mass of scurrying was heard, with the constant THUNK of something heavy being lifted and dropped to the floor again and again.
Clang. Clang. Clang. Clang. Clang. Clang. Clang. Clang. Clang.
Twelve gongs. It was midnight, told by the castle's bells. The sinister darkness left the place.

Although Thorn was scared for her companions, and even feared for their lives, she somehow knew that by remaining where she was and exploring deeper, she would ultimately be more of a help to them. She knew one of them was in the military, she wasn't sure about the other, but he seemed crazy enough, that he had some fighting power in him.

She looked for any sort of light that could aid her, anything.

((This is why you should have taken the candle and matches in the first room I so graciously provided XD))

A small window lets in a ray of light from the moon, dimly illuminating the room enough that one could navigate the room without tripping, but not enough to see the contents of the room. A candle stick lies on the window sill, with a slightly singed match next to it.

((hehe, I am just awesome like that, ignoring important stuff, did I mention i took the piece of paper from the other room? LOL))

Thorn, knew she had made a mistake leaving the matches behind from the start, bus she also knew better than to dwell on the past. She went to the window to see if she could see any of her surroundings outside.

The full moon glowered over the horizon, with the occasional wispy cloud covering Luna's face. The ground was far below the window, a deathly drop for sure onto rocky mountain ground.

((did I miss a new char, who is Luna?))

Thorn steps back just to make sure, knowing that she is afraid of heights. She walks in a circle around the room, feeling the wall as she goes. She makes sure that she is extra careful, and stays slow and cautious.

((Luna is the actual name of the moon. I'ma give the other two a chance to post before posting anything else.))

Dero slid out from under the bed and sighed, feeling a little safer. He propped himself up against the bed, took out a cigarette and a match and lit them both. He watched the match burn as he took a long drag on the cigarette, then flicked it at the stained glass window and stood up, brushing himself off. "Wha'ever da fuck dat wash, I don' wanna shee it again." Smoke blew out as he talked, going right in Andraus's face. Dero scowled again and attempted to open the door back into the hallway. Now he was determined to find his parrot.

More feathers like along the hallway. Is someone toying with you? The candles are unlit now, with only the light from the window shining though.

Thorn thinks she feels a couple of unused matches on a bookshelf.

Dero stopped as soon as he saw the feathers. His cigarette dropped to the floor and he didn't bother to stamp it out. "Fort!" He bolted, as fast as he could, trying to follow the feathers as far as he could. He was charging full speed without a care what was in front of him, only where the feathers were going.

[Il try, but i wont make any promises]

"DAmnit dude, your gonna get us kiled!" he fallowed after him. Then looked at a candle stick. He picked it up " Might be useful. " he continued after the idiot.

The path of feathers led to the door at the end of the hallway, opposite the one Thorn had originally came from. The door was locked, with an inscription around the top of the door.
"None may pass, except those who are willing to face the future. Your number one foe is none other than this."

Thorn too a match and lit it, using it to light the nearby candle. ((assuming I have a candle and it gets lit)) She gasps as she surveys what she thought was a room the size of a closet. ((I'm just adding stuff in here, feel free to correct me)) She turned as she heard the boys running through the hall, but continued to take in what was around her.

Dero's middle finger was up directly behind him as he ran. "I'm going to find my little buddy. Whether or not I die." Without bothering to check the lock or the inscription, Dero tried to slam into the door with his shoulder. Without even reading the inscription, he was ready to face the future. His past was enough, what the hell could the future do to him?
