Riku steps back and lets Delair do his thing. Riku was thinking about taking off unnoticed and look for the dragon, but he remembered what the angel told him about fighting as a team he notices the guy falling and his cards flying everywhere. Normally Riku would laugh at him, but ever since he came out of the light ball he never felt the same way. One card flew towards him and he caught it. He looked at it and didn't understand what it was or what to do with it. He looks at the guy who dropped the card and thorws it into his book sack with the other cards unnoticeabley. Riku pull out one of his big dragon slayer swords and sticks it in the ground and leans on it waiting for Delair to finish.

Justin closed the thick book with a sigh. He put it back in it's spot and left the room, making sure the door was closed properly. He dodged more spiders and their screams and walked back up to the first floor of the church. He went through a maze of room until he found the kitchen. He searched the near empty place and realised he was quite low on food. He would have to go out hunting again. He stood up and scratched his head. A thoughtful expression was written across his face. With a sigh he exited the kitchen and headed to where the hunting and foraging tools were kept.

Jonan glanced over at the man with a giant sword. Two giant swords to be exact. Man, that's just... Too flashy...Jonan thought. Like hell I'm going to be bested by him. He reached into one of his various pockets and pulled out a miniature crossbow. He threw it up in the air with a grin and mumbled a spell. A puff of smoke erupted from the crossbow and it jerked all ways violently. Jonan wore a smug expression as he caught the now giant crossbow in one hand and twirled it into the ground. He learnt on it lazily and whistled the same tune as before. He pulled out a book from his sack and started to draw in it. I'll just have to entertain myself this way. He pursed his lips as he tried to concentrate. He felt hot breath on his neck and wasn't surprised to find Amythist behind him. She looked at him sideways, and he could see his reflection in her deep purple eye.
"Don't concentrate, you might hurt yourself" She snickered. Jonan just smiled and went back to his scribbling. "It's alright Amythist, I already over came that years ago." He grinned and continued to draw lines all over the page. THe hot breath on his neck left and he knew that his reaction displeased Amythist. While she may hate me, she is just like me. Once she figures that out I'll be able to tap into her core power. Jonan started to whistle again, the same unknown tune. |
Delair got a good look at the punctures lining Akira's stomach. He noticed something that wasn't quite right. Poison. Thinking quickly, he grabbed a small vial of clear liquid. Removing the cap, he was overwhelmed by the fumes. It was potent and effective. Pulling the rag away, he pressed the lip of the bottle to Akira's lips and poured tentatively a small amount down her throat. It would burn a bit on the way down but it would keep her alive. He then dripped a bit into eache puncture, nullifying the poison.
"what was that..." she grabbed her neck, it was burning. Painfully and it felt like there was a fire burning her. "MAKE IT STOP!" she grabbed delairs shirt and shook him violently. She dug her head into his chest. "MAKE IT STOP!! WHAT WAS THAT?!?!" she stopped and grabbed her neck once again. The burning feeling had cooled down. It had stop. She calmed herself, it still burned on her wound. She was breathing heavily from the shook, but she would be fine. She knows that he had saved her life. She should be grateful. She looked at fiery, she looked concernted about her.
Delair struggled to stay upright after the sudden outburst from Akira. He quickly returned to the task at hand, pulling a small suturing kit. Bite down on the rag again, this will sting a wee bit. and without waiting for her to react, he began stitching the wounds, quickly and precisely. This would take a minute or two, without distraction. Soon she would be fine.
Akira bit down on the rag. Just one hit and she was more hurt then delair was. She had been careless and stupid to interfere with the fight, but it didn't seem right. The wound slowly closed up. Thanks to delair she would be fine, but was he hurt? Was there something that she couldn't see hurting him. "delair, are you ok?" she looked at him. He was concentrating really hard to her wound, he handled the wound so carefully. Any other man wouldn't have had a clue what to do...where did he learn this?
Fiery was concerned about akira. She hopped she would be ok. She stayed close to her while laying down, waiting for her to be healed. "will you be ok Akira?" she asked her.
As Riku leaned on his blade he watches Delair carefully fix the girls wound. He never seen anything body do such thing as what he did. When someone got hurt where he was at the just used healing orbs and they were better the next day. Riku knew that Delair could handle this so he picked up his sword and walks away while everyone was focus on the girl. He walks in the village that he was in before he got knocked out. Riku looks at all the different shops until he reaches the armory. He walks in and takes a look at the weapons that are displayed.
"fiery, that's not an question I can answer. You should be asking delair." she looked at him. He had nearly finished, it was still hurting but not to bad, she could talk so that was a good sign.
Fiery just continued laying there. She knew deep down akira would be ok. She just hoped next time she was careful when trying to stop a fight.
Gosh, this is soooo boring! Jonan was grumpy. Man, can't this group do anything other then worry about the stupid girl? He watched as the man with the big swords left the area. Jonan narrowed his eyes. He could easily follow him. . . He looked backat Amythist who was looking at him. She'd follow me too though, Jonan sighed. He stood up straight and shrank his cross bow, putting in back into it's pocket.
Amythist watched Jonan carefully, he was mulling over something. I really want to know what he's thinking, he is such a mystery, even though we've been together for 10 years. Amythist growled with regret. She looked over at Serril. How strange, no wings? She lumbered over to talk to him. |
Balphagros' lax nature once again seemed to draw trouble; a group of watchmen drew near, leading bloodhounds through the thick forest. The patrol raised the alarm, one man shouting at the top of his lungs "The beast is still here! Call to arms!" More voices could be heard, no doubt the 'heroes' would answer. Balphagros let out a deafening roar, one seeming to be filled with a gleeful fury. His malicious looking head turned to face the approaching attackers. A thick stream of putrid venom erupted forth, covering the entire group. The dogs were hit first; not unexpected since most humans were cowards, the animals yelped uncontrolably as their flesh began to dissolve; the process was slow and painful. Each soldier hesitated hearing their furry companions panic with terror, a mistake most costly.
The humans of the group attempted to turn and run, of the six men only had time to turn and run. His blood curdling scream only carried one message "God's help us! Aaaaaaaaahh!!!". His cries turned to whimpers of pain as his legs were covered in the thick, greenish substance. He grabbed at the goo, covering his hands; soon both his legs and hands carroded away. Balphagros took no time to examine the dying form looking back at him, he took off through the forrest. The green dragon took no time to cover his tracks, he needed a place to hide, a nearby pond he often submerged himself in was more than deep enough. Several minutes went by as he crached through the trees in his path, and soon the pond came into view. He skidded to a stop at the waters edge, looking back to see if pursuers could be seen. The coast was clear for now, he inhaled deeply, gazing into the cloudy water before releasing a stream of deadly liquid from his mouth. The water began to bubble and turn a dark green; fish began to die and float to the top, only to sink back down as the flesh was removed from there bones. The process continued till he was sure the water was far too corrosive for others to enter. The excitement of the chase had his powerful heart beating fast as he slipped into the water, submerging himself completely. The advantage of being a dragon included incredible lung capacity, he could very well hold his breath for several hours. Below the surface of the putrid pool he could see fairly well, curling up at the bottom, he remained still to conserve oxygen. |
Riku heard a voice shouting that the beast was still there. He dashed outside and ran full speed to the group. As he started to run he felt more speed than he normally did. He started run as fast as a bullet. When he spotted the group he slowed down so that they wouldn't see his speed. Riku looks past the group as he walks up to them and sees the dragon getting away again.
Riku: What! So that dragon had never left. We've gotta stop it before more people suffer. Riku remembers that the angel said that he could kill it or change its heart for the better, but he didn't know how deep into the darkness the dragon was. Riku thought about telling them, but he want to tell the girl first. He wasn't sure if Delair would approve of changing it heart and letting it live. |
Jonan raised his eyebrows as the stray man returned. Out of the group, the man was the only one who took no notice to Jonan. Jonan, wanting to be notice, walked over to the man and patted him on the back. "You seem to be in a tinsy bit of a hurry? Anything wrong?" Jonan cocked his other eyebrow, trying to look as caring as possible.
Delair had finished sewing her wound together, he was putting away the equipment when she though to herself that next time the blood staining her shirt would be her enemies and anyone that stood up against her. Jonan had walked off to the young boy that she had taken out of town early. Akira, struggling to get onto her feet, stood and hobbled over to the boy. He had been the small light ball at her camp. "I need to talk to you, now!" she demanded to know what this symbol on her hand meant. The swirls and why it was red.
Riku look at the guy who patted him on the back.
Riku: Did you not you hear the yelling about the dragon. He suddenly remembered that this guy wasn't there when the dragon attacked. He walked next to Delair and told him about the dragon and that it got away. Then suddenly the girl got up and stumbled towards him. As she showed him the mark that was on her hand he instantly recognized it. Riku: How did that happen? |
" I touched the small ball of light in my camp, it throw me back a far bit and then it was still floating there. Lets talk about It later, in private." she pulled her hand back towards her. She didnt want to let anyone else see the mark till she know what it meant. " you were saying something about that dragon?"
Delair packed his kit away again and stood, picking up bits of conversation and picing together what was happening. The green dragon was back again. Serrill, we must go and find the dragon. Let's go. We might get a bit more pay for this. But Serrill wasn't listening. He was staring off and dreaming about something. Delair followed his gaze and began to laugh. You dog, you. You have a thing for Amythist don't you? I see you staring at her. Serrill chuckled too. Shut up, you'd think the whole bloody village could here you go on.
Jonan ears perked. "A dragon? hmmm..." He swayed back and twirled on his feet. "You there, the slightly older one!" He pointed to Delair," You mentioned something about money no? Well, to the person, who ever and where ever, cwho catches the dragon, dead OR alive... I will give them one million change!" He grinned and took a few paces back. He cocked his head, grinning, " Any takers?"
Amythist's eyes narrowed as Jonan declared his offer. The usual gesture to either get entertainment, or people to like him and trust him. She turned her head to where the older man's dragon was. He was givingher funny look. She blushed a little and looked away. |
Delair smiled at the mention of such a sum of money. He stalked over to Serrill's flank and opened a large case that was otherwise unnoticeable amid the cluster of bags containing assorted supplies for every possible occasion from an ambush to a burglary to a surprise birthday party. From the case he acquired a large sword. The blade alone met Delair's shoulder and the handle nicely added to it's height making it stand a full foot taller than he did. He held it lightly in one hand as he had grown accustomed to it after the many times he had used it to slay some large entity troubled a town or distressing a damsel. Sometimes both. It helped too that it was forged of a lightweight metal that he had... appropriated from a store owner a while back and it had served him well ever since. I will relieve the burden on your pockets, gladly. He turned to Akira Girl, do you have the strength to join us or will you stay in the village and rest. The choice is yours. He leant on his sword in the same style he had noticed the boy and joker do earlier.
Jonan's eye twitched at the sword. "Impressive!" He said aloud, eye still twitching. "Both the sword and the joke." He grinned again. "Such a sum of money will not be easily won, as I will be joining in the fight." He raised his eyebrows and leaned forward, gesturing his hands to his chest. He cocked his head again and grinned even wider. "Still open to the offer?"
"I am not girl, for I am akira..boy" she know that would tick him off slightly but she didn't care. " I need to come, I wish to talk the dragon." she looked around and went over to fiery. She simple mounted her with a grunt because she side had hut an over large scale. She settled down easily. " fiery, I have a bow 'n' arrow back with ours stuff. It's just in case. You Ajax you were fast yeah? Well let's see." she stopped whispering "LET'S GO!" fiery turned and fan off towards the camp, with akira holding on with one had and her other clasped tightly around her wound. She couldn't let them see she was weak.
Riku now knew why the mark was on her hand. He was about to tell her until she said later. When Riku heard the joker saying something about million change he didn't believe him and didn't accept his offer. Riku looked at the sword that Delair had. It was almost as big as his sword. Riku didn't have the time until now to examine his new blades he took one of them out and stuck it in the ground. He found that some of the blade was made out of special sturdy ore. He knew that his sword was way heavier than Delairs blade. Riku thought about the first time he failed to carry a huge sword. Since hes been work on his strength for days before he encountered these people he can carry his blade like it was nothing. He knew that he looks small cause of the jacket he has on, but he didn't want anybody knowing that he is muscular. He puts his sword away.
Riku: I'm going ahead. Riku starts walking towards the scene of where the dragon was until it ran away. |
Fiery ran as fast as she could back to the camp. When she got there, she picked up the bow and arrows and handed them to akira.
