http://i483.photobucket.com/albums/r...swannebula.jpg It began, a long time ago, with the Creators. No one knows who they are, or where they came from- they simply exist, have existed longer then anyone can comprehend. It is from them that the universe was made. It had been decided that the universe would be split into realms, for many creatures existed, each with their own needs. So 11 realms were created- nine for the creations, one for the Creators, and one where all could meet, protected by the universal law of the Creators. http://i605.photobucket.com/albums/t...ical/Space.jpg Harmony between the Realms was kept by the Creators, who picked individuals from each realm to serve as a ruler, someone to guide their realm and ensure that the peace was kept. Years flew by, seasons passed from one to another, and the realms lived in relative quite. That is to say there was not discord- for from light, comes shadow. But never was the hostility between any race so strong as to unseat the balance of the realms. And so, the seasons were allowed to pass in peace. As time wore on, the Rulers became restless. Old wounds between different Lords and Ladies made peace difficult, but not impossible. Every five years, the Lords and Ladies met in the Great Meeting Hall with the Creators. Life was stressed, but good. And then one day, the Creators were silent. http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p...nry06_hall.jpg The Halls of the Great Meeting Hall went dark, as the Lords and Ladies assembled to discuss this calamity. It was up to them to work together now, to keep the peace. But some of them did not want to work together. Some of them did not want peace. Some of them wished for power. For control. Now, they must all try and solve what has happened here- where did the Creators go? What is in store for the Realms? A solution must be found or they will all die, consumed into the void between Realms. And old rivalries between species will make finding a solution close to impossible. From Darkness, Comes Light. In The End, All Things Go Back To Chaos. |

Profiles In order as listed above. More coming soon. Quote:
Name: Catarin (Cat-AH-rin) "Rin" Claudelle Username: Clairefirestar9mm Realm: Espheria Position: Advisor Race: Light Elf Biography: Catarin, or Rin as she prefers to be called, was born the granddaughter of a high elf, although she herself was born without a pixie. She showed no outstanding traits- she was competent enough, pretty but not extraordinarily so, and somewhat quiet. The only thing that really set her apart from her peers was her imagination and head for politics, an odd combination which her grandfather noticed right off the bat. It took a lot of string-pulling, but eventually Rin found herself with a letter that offered her the position as her Lord's advisor. Personality: On the outside, Rin seems quiet, but behind her stoic mask is a bright, imaginative mind. She's rather shy and has a hard time speaking in large crowds; she gains a bit of confidence when speaking to a smaller audience. Competent and smart, she's now determined to prove that she deserves her spot as advisor and that she's not as ordinary as everyone believes her to be. Appearance: http://i921.photobucket.com/albums/a...0images/16.jpg Quote:
Name: Annais Aether Nox Username: Clairefirestar9mm Realm: Lunada Position: Lady Race: Vampire Biography: Annais was born to an ancient clan of assassins, having been sired by one of the best assassins in the line. From a young age she had been trained in the art of death and battle tactics. She was very good at what she did, but her father thought she was too tender-hearted for the job. This, of course, did not stop him from pushing Annais to fight for the position of ruler when the old Lord, Audrius Favre, passed away. It was mostly done on a whim- no one expected sweet little Annais, who was only 19 at the time (and practically a baby, by vampire terms) to win the throne. Not only was she a small woman going up against much bigger, more experienced men, but she did not even hail from a royal line. She won the crown in a bloody, bitter battle, surprising all, but her father most of all. Annais has been the ruler for several years now, and although she is still very young, she is wise, and the tender heart that served her no good as an assassin has led her to be a decent ruler. Personality: Annais comes across as a rather gentle woman, which is unusual for her kind. But don't let her small stature and sweet personality fool you- she has blood on her hands and hasn't forgotten the lessons her father taught her. She's reasonably patient, but when her temper blows, watch out- she weilds words like a knife. Appearance: Annais is surprisingly short, and her eyes darken to black whenever she needs to feed. http://i879.photobucket.com/albums/a...eat01234-1.jpg Quote:

Burgin, was, as usual, the first to arrive in the meeting place. He looked around, and found none of the creators in sight. He called out, but none answered. He bellowed, still no answer. He searched the entire place, still nothing. They had simply vanished. Was some terrible ancient evil afoot? Was there a force preventing the creators from appearing, or had they simply forsaken their creations to move on to another world? There were simply too many questions, and absolutely no answers. The only hint that Burgin could find was a smooth, bronze disc in the middle of the floor. This raised more questions than answers, so Burgin decided to do what needed to be done. He inscribed a message on a stone tablet in dwarven that desribed all that he had seen (or not seen), and picked up his bags, finished his beer, and left to find the Creators. I have to find them, even if it is my final act. I will send messages in any way I can. he inscribed on the last few lines of the tablet. He looked back at the empty hall, turning the small bronze disk around in his hand. He then strode out of his quest to find the creators, or at least discover what had become of them.

Annais blinked bright green eyes as they entered Aescardica, the Meeting-Realm. Sometimes it felt like no matter how many times she came here, she'd never get used to how bright it was, but only a few minutes later her eyes had adjusted, narrowing in accordance to the ammount of light filtering through her carriage. She lifted a pale hand to brush a strand of light brown hair behind one ear, then closed her eyes for a moment and slowly counted to ten- once she opened them, they had stopped at the castle, one of her attendants opening the door for her. "We have arrived, your majesty," the man said in a deep, low voice. She nodded to him as she rose and stepped out of the carriage, the skirts of her full (and rather cumbersome) dress swishing as she moved. Her family and the Council always insisted the dress up for the first day of meetings, but after that she was free to do what she pleased- and the dress she currently wore, made of the finest black fabric and blood red satin, was going to find itself staying in her trunk the rest of her stay. "Put the horses in the stable please," she said in her soft, sweet voice. "Afterwards, you should be able to find your quarters on your own. I trust they have not changed." With that, the young woman headed into the large castle that housed the meeting chambers, the doors closing behind her. Now that she was alone, she could think again. She wondered about the meetings, and how things had felt strangely.... imbalanced in Lunada. She walked into the main hall, still lost in thought, and probably would not have noticed the tablet had she not tripped on it. She scowled, looking down at the offending object with a steely, terryfing glare, until she realized that there was writing on it. Tilting her head to the side, she dropped down onto her knees on the floor, royal protocol giving way to her curiousity (her mother would have killed her for sitting on the floor like a child.) Annais felt the blood drain from her face as she stared at the words inscribed on the tablet, reading over it several times to make sure that she was reading it right. She sat there, frozen in shock and staring at the tablet for heaven knew how long. |
Ever since his advisor had left things felt out of place. As Ruslareyn walked down towards the heater dome his new temporary advisor kept bothering him about anything and everything. "Sir your coat is uneven," "Sir you should eat," "Sir we should have stopped to rest at that town," and finally "Sir why did you even bring your gun?" At this Ruslareyn turned around and stared into the younger dwarf's eyes.
"Do not question me about my methods. And if you EVER mention anything that makes me thing you want me to leave my weapon I WILL shoot you in the face with it. Do you understand?!?" he growled. The advisor stepped back and was quiet the rest of the way except for what he thought were muffled cried for his mommy. When they arrived in the Heater Dome Ruslareyn stopped. He looked around the dome to see if anybody was there. He soon spotted a tiny little gnome running towards him as fast as he could. When he arrived the gnome bowed to Ruslareyn. "Sir Stonecore welcome. Are you here to go somewhere?" "Yes I need to get to Aescardia as fast as possible." He turned to look at his still sobbing companion. "Make sure he doesn't get through," he whispered. "Yes sir. Let me set everything up for you" The gnomes runs of to a small comsole and presses a few buttons. Soon a portal opens and Ruslareyn ran through it. Once on the other side he watches at it closes behind him. He walks on up the long path towards the castle. |
"Well then, I'll be off." Yoona waved to her personal servant. "Jeez, I hope this meeting can fix the imbalance..." The young ruler sighed and looked out the window of her lavishly decorated room. Lately, Yoona had noticed that the southern and northern parts of Mithrigal had been...well...blending...was a good word to describe it. The once malicious and evil witches of the south had started carrying around teddy bears while they fed cotton candy to multicolored flying fish. That was not a good sign. With a blinding green flash, Yoona disappeared and left a cloud of smoke in her wake. She appeared in Aescardia, the Meeting-Realm immediately and squinted at the massive amount of light. The Council and her advisor had forced her into an elegant -- but totally not Yoona's style -- dress and ridiculous matching heels. The young witch sighed and brushed a hand through her long teal hair. She absolutely hated going to meetings. "Hmm...I wonder where that advisor of mine ran off to...I hope I didn't scare them off with my necromancy, because that's what happened to the last one..." Yoona sighed before heading to the castle. "Whatever, I'm sure that advisor can show up later~" She walked into the castle's main hall, still wondering what happened to Mithrigal in the past few days. She'd go ask the creators if they knew what was happening later...Yoona stopped walking as she spotted Annais, the Lady of the realm Lunada, crouching on the floor staring at some shiny object. She waved her pale hand in front of Annais' face, not sure why the object she was staring at was so interesting. "Wake up~~" |
Chewing her bottom lip nervously, Naphtali walked up the long path to the meeting place in Aescardica. For starters, this was her first meeting since being chosen as ruler by the Spiders. But that wasn't all that was worrying her. In Aradria, some of the Arachin people were getting restless. They never did follow the Shamans like they should have. She couldn't help but feel that a war was brewing, and that terrified her. Maybe she could get help?
Entering the large building, she retracted her extra legs farther, aware that some of the more sensitive types disliked that about the Aradrians. The dim light was really no problem for her eyes either, though she had heard from the previous ruler that it was much to dim. Her eyes had the ability to see ultraviolet radiation, so she could see in the dark a good bit. That's how she noticed Yoona and Annais up ahead long before they would be able to see her. She froze in her tracks upon seeing them. Annais was on the floor for some reason, and Yoona was waving her hand in front of the vampire's face as if trying to get her attention. Had something happened? Checking herself over one last time, she adjusted her deep purple cloak and brooch carefully, then pulled her hands inside and made her way over. "I-Is ev-everything okay?" she stuttered as she got closer, feeling a bit of panic rise up from her tummy. She really, really sucked at social interactions. "Sh-She's o-okay, right?" Sending a silent prayer to Avoix, the god of creation and heaven, she hoped she wouldn't be taken for an idiot. Breathing a bit deeper, she started storing it in her hair, ready to use it if she started hyperventilating or something. The sword at her waist was clattering in it's sheath as she shook, but she refrained from quieting it. It wouldn't hurt if they knew she was nervous, right? She closed her eyes then and took a deep breath, trying to settle her nerves and worries while she waited for a response. |
Ruslareyn walked into a small building right outside on the castle and changed into a suit. He walked out of the building and and into the castle. As he entered he noticed the three ladies and walked up to them. When he got closer he noticed the bronze disk in Annais's hands.
"Hello Lady of Aradria" he said as he turned to the Aradrian ruler and bowed dismissing the Mithrigalian. "What has transpired here with the Lunadian ruler?" His gaze went to the bronze disk. "And what is that bronze disk in her hands?" (yes, dwarves wear suits) |
Annais jumped as Yoona waved a hand in front of her face, a startled gasp escaping her lips. "There's something wrong," she managed in a choked whisper, even as the Lady of Aradria came over, sounding nervous. "There's something terribly wrong," she said again, her voice a bit stronger this time. She looked over to the Lord of Forgus as he approached. "Burgin was your advisor," she said, swallowing hard before holding up the tablet. "You should see this first." She handed the tablet off to him, then got to her feet, brushing off her skirts as she turned to Naphtali and Yoona. "How long have you two been here? Did you see any of the Creators around?" Part of her was praying that this was all some kind of cruel joke, but there was a dreadful feeling in her gut- like her world had suddenly flip-flopped. [[Whoops >.< Sorry, I was tired last night so I read it wrong and I guess disc kinda stuck >.>.]] |
(ummm... the writing was on a tablet... he took the disk.....)
Ruslareyn took the stone tablet into he hands. As he read his brow furrowed and his eyes widened. When he read the last two lines he nearly dropped the tablet. He dropped onto the floor and placed the tablet next to him. It would be now that he needed Burgin the most, but unfortunatly it was him who wrote on the tablet. "Go ahead and read it, but you won't enjoy it. We are going to have a very... exciting meeting." He looked up and wispered a prayer to the ancestors. |
Naphtali jumped back when Annais jumped, her yellow eyes wide. The pale girl's response made her swallow loudly, her eyes darting around the empty chamber as if she expected to be attacked. She'd be able to see them first, after all. "H-How so?" she asked in a tiny voice, bending towards Annais. Then she recognized that Ruslayern had addressed her, so she whipped around, blushing.
"Greetings to you, L-Lord of F-Forgus," she responded, touching her index finger and pinky to her fangs before extending them to him. It was the customary greeting for people of equivalent status in Aradria, though it was only ever performed in formal situations. It was considered rude for a friend to perform it to you. She watched as he took the tablet curiously, shaking her head at Annais when she asked about the Creators. "I-I j-just arrived," she stammered, still anxious as a cow in a tannery. When the dwarf was finished with the tablet, she picked the tablet up and skimmed it, not really comprehending what the absence of the Creator's entailed. It was obviously bad, but why and how? She just didn't know enough. |
Yoona twitched as the Lord of Forgus came into her vision. Mithrigalians had never quite liked the inhabitants of Forgus. They were so...un-elegant. "Yes, greetings, Lord of Forgus." She gave a curt nod to Ruslareyn. Yoona sighed as she noticed Naphtali stuttering. "Oh, please. It's not that bad, is it?" She gave the young girl a pat on the back and transferred some soothing magic to her, which would hopefully calm her down. "Speaking of the Creators...I don't think they've been around a while..." Yoona frowned. "This place feels empty, how odd." Her mind flashed back to the odd things happening in her realm. Had they been happening in other realms, also? "And speaking of empty...where is everybody else?" Yoona looked over at Naphtali. "Aish. Anyways, what does that disk say that could possibly be so horrifying?" She skimmed the tablet as she hovered over Naphtali, who was still in the process of figuring out what had happened. Yoona read the tablet over a few times, to make sure that she hadn't accidentally changed the words in the tablet with magic. "...oh, that is bad..." The necromancer froze in place, unsure what to do. |
A small frown crossed Annais's features, her eyes looking at the tablet without really reading the words there. "The others will have to be notified," she said, then sighed. What did this mean? Had the Creators abandoned them? She glanced at Naphtali and bit her lip, deciding she had to keep her opinion to herself for now- it wouldn't do to scare anyone, and while she wasn't worried about Yoona or even Ruslareyn, it only took one of them panicking to spread that panic throughout the realms. She rested a cool, gentle hand on Naphtali's shoulder. "Don't worry, we'll figure this out," she said diplomatically. "Until the others get here, maybe we should try and see if anything else was left behind? Maybe the Creators left something, as well." There was hope- a very small hope- that this was all a misunderstanding. |
Surprised by Yoona's pat on her back, she almost fell on her face, staying up by force of will. Typically, it wouldn't have even made her flinch, but, coming out of nowhere, it spooked her for sure. The tickle of magic running down her spine made her frown at the necromancer. Such things were quite rude. Had she never heard of asking first?
Yet it did help her stop stammering, even though she didn't feel all that different. Mellowed out a bit, yes, but not by much. Then Annais put her arm around her shoulder, helping her out even more. At least they were kind to the rookie. Cripe but she felt older than her sixteen years. This job certainly was taxing. "Are we going to look around then? I can lead if we don't have a light source. My eyes are good for the dark," she offered, unfastening her cloak and setting it aside. She'd get it later. She eased her sword out of it's sheath a bit as she peered into the darkness. Now that she wasn't so nervous, she was thinking much more clearly. The Creators usually deactivated the defenses of the palace when they called a meeting, right? No Creators meant no deactivation, so they could probably expect some nasty surprises to pop up eventually. |
19 year old Gemini Starr, youngest ruler in Ardrimarian history, arrived in the meeting realm a bit late.for the part three years that she had ruled her realm, she had never once been late for a meeting.naturally, this made her quite aggravated, but she couldn't help it.recently there had been odd happenings in Ardrimar, and one such happening had taken her attention, causing her to be late.like most of her kind, Gemini traveled through shadows, and slipped into the castle in her shadow form before solidifying.her clothing for the occasion consisted of a tight black shirt with long sleeves that billowed out at the ends, and a long dark green skirt that hugged her curves and belled out at the bottom slightly.she wore no shoes, as she found them a hindrance. She cleared her throat to alert the others of her presence."pardon me for being late, there was an issue back home.what's going on?" She asked, puzzled by their odd looking formation.the customs of the other realms often confused her, but she would never show it.she was generally seen as cold and emotionless, and she preferred it that way.being unreachable made her even more attractive than her inhuman beauty could.her skin being snow pale and her eyes black as night- all pupil and no iris or white in sight- her red hair looked like blood flowing down her back, down to her waist, and her black wings in their smaller form, she was a creature made for seduction, though she didn't know it."are you practicing a battle?"
|
Evelyn hurried through the meadow she had fallen asleep in, her long hair flowing behind her as her feet, clad in white boots, seemed to skim the grassy floor as she scurried through, the gossamer wings on her back pressed to her back to lessen wind drag so that she could move quickly. How could she have fallen asleep like that on such an important day, with such an important meeting? She wrung her hands as her large purple eyes darted around, small white teeth chewing delicately on her bottom lip.
"Excuse me..." she murmured as she darted through a group of elves, her destination already in sight. She was unaware of the looks she was receiving for the twigs and leaves that had tangled themselves in her hair and were falling and laving a trail behind her. Her height was never more a bother than when she was rushing as many of the individuals around her were so much taller... Finally, she reached the place she was headed for and tentatively raised a small fist to knock on the door before pushing it open and peeking her head in, scanning the interior. "Excuse me... Lord Booth? I apologize for my tardiness. The meeting with the Lords and Ladies of the other realms..." |
"Whoops, sorry about that, Naphtali." Yoona cringed as the younger girl struggled to keep her balance. "I've gotten a bit used to doing things in a rash manner lately." "And of course, we should go look around." She pointed to one of the many dark hallways. "We'll be lucky to find any clues. And let's start over there." Yoona remembered, that if the Creators were holding a meeting, the massive amount of defenses were usually taken down. But, that was odd, because if the Creators were gone, then the defenses would be up. However, they weren't. Or else there would've been some odd creature guarding the door to the castle. She sighed dramatically as she snapped out of her thinking mode. Thinking was too tiring. Her head snapped around as she noticed that Gemini Starr had finally appeared and made a comment about fighting. "Oh, Gemini. Of course not." Yoona motioned for the Lady of Adrimar to come closer. "There's absolutely no time now for battle practicing. You might want to take a look at this." She pointed at the tablet that Naphtali was still holding. |
Raven fixed his tie as he walked into the meeting place at Aescardica. This was truly a beautiful place and for a moment he was able to forget all that was happening. But even the scenery couldn't banish the weights that now rested on his shoulders. Only this morning had he found out his eldest brother had ran away leaving him a Realm to take care of. The coward he couldn't help thinking, though Raven supposed he knew where Griffin had been coming from. Terra had been plunged into hardship lately, very suddenly. Storms and Quakes had become more frequent and severe, and a sickness had started to develop at the far reaches of Terra. Hopefully this meeting would hold some answers.
Mother had wanted to go instead, but she was much too ill. Raven had assured her that he had been taught the ways of rule just in case a situation like this arose. She still was uneasy, "Anyone but you, Raven, and I would go. But it is you, so I will remain" His mother's words were true. Raven was bright and adaptable, he wouldn't break under the weight of a Realm, but the weight was still there, none the less. Raven stepped into the main room and saw many had already arrived. His mother had tried to tell him about each of the leaders, but there were some new and some missing. He regarded the Lady of Lunada with caution, noted the Lady of Mithrigal, relaxed at the sight of the Lord of Forgus, and was confused by the last woman there. He could tell she was from Aradia, but their leader must have changed recently, for she wasn't as Raven's mother had described. He wondered how they would react to seeing him. His mother had sent a message when she grew sick that her eldest son, Griffin Limont, would stand her place at the meeting. They would not be expecting Raven. He stepped out to where they were gathered, and was puzzled to see them of a tense countenance and a worried demeanor. "Is something amiss?" he asked. |
