Rosemary blinked."oh, yeah...Raina, there's something you should know.see, I can see ghosts, and talk to them.and there's this one ghost, a baby dragon named Chibi, who follows me around.he's really excited to be here, so he's making a wind to tell us he's happy." She said, hoping not to scare the girl.

Raina looked at Rosemary, "a baby dragon? COOL!" Hi Chibi!" she called waving in completely the wrong direction.

Youji sighed as he watched the supernatural beings go through the process of buying a human as a pet or slave. He let his eyes drift thinking if any of these lucky people would try to deal with him. He was used to the usual slave treatment now, and had his share of beatings. If he could remember, he had been bought and sold back about five times. "I'm tired of this stupid slave thing. If i hadn't been taken here maybe i could be normal...." He said softly, almost as if talking to himself in the process. To his advantage, nobody even bothered looking towards his cage; much less, even heard his remark enough to beat him now.
Being eighteen had advantages and disadvantages. For example, on one side he didn't have too much worry on being bought; most supers usually prefered for the younger ones with all the health and chance of living longer. On the other hand, if not bought, his life from now on would be consisted of rotting in a cage for the rest of his life. All similar thoughts ran through his mind until he began running out of positives and just listing what was left, the negatives. He looked blankly down at the floor and shivered ha ha, maybe being a slave isn't TOO bad...

Alexandria glanced over at the boy in the cage next to her (Youji), "Hey," she said.

Youji jumped by the voice and banged his head on the top of the cage. He rubbed the back of his head, trying to let the pain subside from the bump. He shifted his eyess around, trying to figure out which super was speaking to him. After a minute of looking, he noticed the person speaking to him was actually the girl in the cage next to him.he sighed softly in relief, though seeming more disappointed at the same time. He thought he couuld make a break for it if a super had spoke to him and planned to buy him. It at the same time, wasn't too bad either because he was still spoken to. This was odd for him because though he looked youmger, he was still 18.
He smiled lightly " well, hello to you too, kid." He said, messing with her when he called her a kid. He knew most younger people prefered to not be called a child, he admitted he himself hated when that happened to him. He adjusted his hat and sat himself down on the bottom of his cage, hoping to get an actual conversation with someone.

Rosemary smiled and gently turned Raina in the right direction."anyone can see the spirits, you know.most people just don't know how to look.close your eyes and empty your mind.when I say so, open your eyes again." She said, motioning for Chibi to sit in front of Raina.

Raina did as Rosemary directed.

Alexandria scowled at Youji, "I haven't felt like a kid in a very long time, since they put me in this cage"

Youji laughed softly." Hey. No n-" He laughed once more, interupting his sentance he was about to say. After a few more chuckles, he took a deep breath and smiled. " No need to get so visious." He said and bit his lip to finally stop the laughing. He took off his hat and set it in his arms. He poked at the hat for a second before dusting it off and plopping it back onto his golden blonde hair. He gazed back towards Alexandria before speaking again, "I'm sorry i called you a kid, just kind if a habit when talking to younger figures." He looked around for a moment, before thinking up a game. The game was simple; she would just have to guess his age, and if she was right, she would win. There where no bets to this game unless the girl planned on betting something, and he wasn't sure.
" Before i tell you my name, would you care to participate in a game with me?" He asked softly, wondering if she would be interested. Since he could be stuck in here for a while, he could only think of old childhood games to pass the time, and he was sure of it that since he looked much younger, it could serve as a challange to the girl.

"Alright, Raina.open your eyes.Chibi is right here in front of you." Rosemary said gently.Chibi wagged his tail excitedly.

Raina opened her eyes and saw the dragon, she squealed and clapped "I can see him!"

Rosemary smiled."good.now that you've seen him, you will always be able to.you wont be able to see other spirits, and you can't touch Chibi, but you'll see him." She said.Chibi approached and sniffed at Raina, snorting a warm breath at her and blowing her hair back gently.

Raina giggled.

Poseidon smield at Rosemary, "You're good with kids" he commented.

Rosemary shrugged."im barely more than a child myself." She answered dryly, watching Chibi sniff and poke at Raina, trying to figure out what she was.

"let me show you your rooms" Poseidon said"

Raina giggled again, "What's he doing?"

Rosemary nodded absently at Poseidon, then turned to Raina."he's trying to figure you out.he's not sure what you are yet.Chibi, come on now." She said, and Chibi circled around to Rosemary's shoulder.

Raina began following Poseidon as he led them down a hall. He opened a door. "Rosemary, this is your room" The ceiling of the room looks like the night sky, not just like painted stars but like you are really seeing the night sky above you. (kind of like the ceiling of the great hall at hogwarts, except it doesn't particularly match the sky outside)

Rosemary looked at the room and gave a snort."well, its better than most I've had.but the sky isn't right.its still not real.nothing can substitute the real outdoors." She said."but thank you." She muttered grudgingly.Chibi flew in and settled on the bed.

Posiedon pulled open the door next to Rosemary's room, "And this is your room Raina"

Raina squealed and threw her arms around Poseidon's legs, the highest part of him she could reach."I love it!"

Rosemary lay on her bed, staring at the ceiling with pure hatred.she threw a pillow at it."you're not the real sky. You're fake.just pretend." She grumbled at it.

Raina walkedinto Rosemary'sroom, "What's the matter don't you like it here?" She looked up at the ceiling, "It's pretty"

Rosemary shook her head."no.I can feel the weight of the ocean above me.this sky is fake and gives me no comfort.even in this nice place, I'm caged, trapped!" She said, frustrated.Chibi tried to fly up to the sky but bumped his head on the ceiling.he whined and flicked the ceiling with his tail.

Raina tilted his head, "It's better than been in a real cage isn't it?" she was never put in a cage except once when her father was gone his wife did, but it was only a few hours but she knows other slaves were in cages their whole lives.

"Hardly.if anything, its worse.at least with a real cage you know what it is.its simple.this place makes you think you're free when you're really not.its fake, deceptive." Rosemary shook her head and sighed."nevermind.if you like it here, then its fine." She said.

Raina looked at her,"what does decep- decep- that word mean? How do you know you aren't really free have you asked him? Anyway cages are small and scary, my daddy's wife put me in a cage when he gone and I didn't like it at all, it was scary. Dis place isn't small and scary"

"Deceptive means it tricks you and makes you think something is nice or safe when it really isn't.believe me, I have been in plenty of cages, and this is just a bigger, fancier version of those.even if Poseidon let me go, I still could never get to the surface by myself.I would drown.the water traps me even worse than this stupid fake sky." Rosemary cried out in frustration, a tear leaking from her eye."how can I sleep with that above me?! How can I ever rest without the moon and stars shining on my face?! This is wrong, a mockery of the real sky! Disgraceful!" She cried.Chibi sniffed at her arm, trying to comfort her.
