Roulan had looked at all the different flavors of drink available. "I love strawberry is there a flavor for that?" he had smiled at Sona blushing and being able to warm the coolness from her hands. "What flavor do you like?" he then turn around to see her blushing more and stopped she does look pretty he had smiled and his cheeks did turn red. He had forgetten all about Jazareth and hoped that she was ok and then his thoughts turned back to Sona.

Jazereth watched as Landon underwent the inspection. Not a single emotion crossed her youth filled features. Although inside she was shaking. Not from fear, but from fury. Jazereth had left her own mind reader unalarmed, with only small traces of betrayal. But of course, those memories could be explained easily. As Landon sent a message of help to her, Jazereth felt his emotions. The Fire alpha felt her kin's pain and suffering. His desire to be freed from the proceedings. The once motionless Jazereth now stood between Landon and the mind reader. Grasping the women's hand firmly, she said in a deathly tone,"You have overstepped your boundaries. Not only did you immaturely destroy his memories but you also let him experience his memories again. Even a child would know that what you did was unacceptable. You could have easily ablitirated his mind."

Turning to the alphas, Jazereth spoke fiercely,"Is not the cost of suspected treachery fifty lashes with a whip? In that case I'll take all one-hundred. But Landon is to be pardoned because of what this "mind reader" has done to him. He is in no condition to undergo punishment or investigation. But this is not over. Intelligence tells us that there are more possibilities to this mole in our midst. All alphas and suspected kin must be inspected. This is I forced by law. We must not waver from the righteous path."

"There is," Sona gently pulled Roulan's hand, guiding him toward the correct drinks. She motioned to a few, some of which had a few pieces of fresh fruit floating in the drink. "Take your pick! Blended fruits, or just flavored drinks."

Reaching for one, she chose a strawberry milkshake of some kind. The moment she took it, frost coated the top. "We don't get strawberries often, but when we do it's a treat."

-

The Earth mind reader hissed when Jazereth grabbed her arm. She glared at the alpha, but when she heard Noctis growl, the woman lowered her gaze in submission.

"Sometimes a more violent approach is the way to frighten the truth out of hiding." Noctis watched Landon for a few moments as the youth merely squeezed his eyes shut and focused on drawing breath. "He was the one you suspected only earlier today." Noctis recalled the sudden cry that Jazereth had sent them when she first approached the scene. Now, though, Landon was apparently innocent.

The Earth alpha reached out and placed a hand on Landon's head. The scrapper flinched, his eyes opening. Landon's gaze was nearly wild. He froze until Noctis' hand lifted.

"We will conduct the search," Noctis said, agreeing with Jazereth. "Without this show of force." His words were a snarl as he directed them to his own mind reader. In the Earth clan, it was all about power. The more power you had, the stronger you were, and the more liable you were to try your hand at alpha. This mind reader was power hungry, and had been reckless. Still, that didn't make Noctis pity Landon. He didn't like the scrapper.

Noctis sighed and waved his mind reader away. He would deal with her later. "I'll take Savannah back to her room. She should rest."

Coventina watched as Jazereth stepped in to protect Landon. Shocked, she felt her mind reader grasp her hand tightly, tears slipped down her cheeks from underneath the strip of cloth that sheilded her scarred eyes from sight when all calmed and Noctis spoke about Savannah, the water alpha spoke up. "Yes, she needs rest, as will you Landon." She said gently and slowly led her mind reader over. The young girl gently knelt before him and bowed her head. "I can help you... I know it hurts, but if you let me, I can heal what has been hurt." She offered gently and Coventina put a comforting hand the scrapper's shoulder. "She will not hurt you, I trust her with my life and mind... Water clan mind readers are trained to heal and father memories to keep tradition... She can give you healing that will help your memories." The alpha explained. Her eyes met Noctis's and they said it all. She wished to speak with him that night, in private. They needed to discuss options. For once they were read, their passion for eachother would be revealed, and once it was, they were going to be killed.

Jazereth's rage grew as she saw Noctis place a hand on Landon's head. Keeping to herself, she agreed with the Earth alpha's words. But she wasn't content with Noctis overseeing the investigation. After all, he himself seemed to be hiding something from the alphas. As the water clan female kneeled in front of Jazereth's scrapper, and offered her healing, she once again stepped in. "Thank you very much for the offer. But I'm afraid that Landon here has had more than enough of your clans' "hospitality". I can take care of him myself.",said Jazereth with a bone chilling smile. Addressing Noctis and Coventina, she said,"Don't stay up too late you too. The feast is all but over. It would be tragic if you too were unwell from the lack of sleep. Your packs would not fair well." While keeping eye contact with the two, Jazereth sent a message to Landon. 'We need to keep an eye on those two. I will not allow even alphas to break the law. I will put them in their place. But tonight, we will keep an eye on them. I am not stupid enough to condemn them without evidence. Come with me to my hut, we will finish our conversation there. I will not forgive them for what they did to you!'

Landon frowned, his breath still quick as he watched the Water clan reader kneel before him. He flinched back at her words, unable to control his reaction to them. If this girl tried to heal him, she might stumble upon some information better left buried. The scrapper equally wanted to feel that soothing coolness that seemed to surround the Water reader.

When Coventina's hand rested on his shoulder, Landon slowly stopped shaking. His gaze trained on the woman's face, but he shook his head. It took a few tries before he was able to form words. "N-no, thank you."

His very words were a reflection of what Jazereth had just said. They would be fine. They had to be. Landon shakily shifted until he was sitting on his heels, unsure if he should attempt standing quite yet. The mental message from his alpha nearly sent him back to the ground. He swayed with the effort of translating that link, for the path had been trampled within his mind.

Landon's response was unheard, but the briefest brush of understanding met Jazereth's mind. It obviously hurt him to send even that small amount of a mind link. The scrapper's blue eyes opened again, and he forced himself to stand. It was hard to hide how unsteady he felt, but Landon managed to step closer to his alpha. Without another word, he stepped away, leaving the room in a very uncharacteristic solo action. Usually, he followed Jazereth everywhere. Now, he just needed to be OUT.

When he got outside, Landon's trembling returned. His mind felt worn, and battered. It hurt to think. It hurt to breathe. Anger flashed over his pale features, and he staggered a step when he forced the expression off of his face. He couldn't do that. Not here. How much did I lose? Had he even lost memories? Would he know if he did?

Landon stumbled, stopping himself from falling by reaching out for the building beside him. There he waited for Jazereth, barely keeping himself on his feet.

-

Noctis didn't acknowledge the look that Coventina sent him. He couldn't. Not with others here. Still, he knew what she was thinking. Everything could fall apart right here. Their clans would be set into turmoil, and they would be tried by law. Law wasn't very kind or merciful when it came to mixing packs.

The Earth alpha turned his maroon eyes to Landon as the boy left. When his attention fixed on Jazereth, he inclined his head slightly. That woman always bothered him. Always had, always would. There was something about her defiance and downright feral attitude that made him want to just attack her and get it over with.

Reaching for Savannah, Noctis helped the girl to her feet. "The alphas should meet in the morning," he said, looping his friend's arm around his shoulders. As they left, the mind reader followed and slipped out into the dwindling crowds of the Feast.

Navi silently reached out and touched Coventina's arm, smiling a bit. She'd tried to help Landon. It was the thought that counted.

Coventina watched as everyone went their seperate ways. Her mind reader waited paitently as the water tribe alpha observed everything unfolding. Jazereth seemed to be in an eternal bad mood, and wherever she went she brought anger and difiance. It was a wonder that the fire clan hadnt revolted against her rule. Feeling Navi's hand on her shoulder, the alpha turned her head to the wise woman and returned the soft smile with her own. Sighing she helped up her mind reader and looping her arm around the young one's arm she bowed her head to Navi. "Sleep well Navi... I believe that it will be our last chance of rest for a while... I'm not sure if we will be the cause of our downfall or the Bengace clan will be.... At this point there is hardly anything left of the trust and peace we worked so hard achieve." Coventina said gently and began leading her mind reader back to the huts. She would check on her warrior, and old lover, and then talk to Noctis.

While the other alphas were leaving, she replaced the stone wall that guarded her emotions. Of course it had all been in the plan. The alphas thought she was young and hot-headed. The truth was that no emotions or feelings had ever flown through her mind. It had been like that since birth. But something was bothering her...the fact that when she was in Landon, everything came tumbling down. There were no walls that she could put up to stop him. Shaking off the trifling thought, Jazereth hurried after Landon. Seeing him leaning against a building, something inside her felt weak. Maybe it had been the connection, the fact that she knew she was hurting him when she sent it. Rushing to his side, she took one of his arms and wrapped it around her neck. "I'm so sorry",she whispered,"I couldn't protect you. And I hurt you even more by using the link. I put my image in front of your safety. I'm such an idiot!" Feeling her face getting hot, Jazereth was stunned. How many times had she cried before with Landon? And now she was going to cry again?! Rubbing her face hastily, she made sure that she couldn't cry. "Why is it, Landon, that with you I feel things that I've never felt before in my life. Why is that? Feelings used to be a hindrance that others had and i didn't. So why?! Why is it that when I'm with you, you change me?!",Jazereth mumbled out in a hushed tone. 'What an idiot!',she thought. 'Why the hell am I telling him this?! What's wrong with me?!'

Roulan smiled and grabbed a strawberry banana shake "strawberries are very common were I'm from, but I was just to stubborn to try them" he let out a chuckle and laughed at some of the froth on Sona's face "Someday I'll let you taste fresh strawberries if you would like to" he then smiled and took another sip of his drink.

((So sad. I was catchign up on all my rps, and this one somehow slipped through the cracks.... sorry, guys!))

Noctic paced his stone hut restlessly. Not only had his mind reader angered the others, but now ... now he had to speak to Coventina. Again. Swallowing his dread, the male raked a hand through dark hair. Fine. If he needed to speak with her, he would do it now.

Tentatively reaching out with his mind, he sought the other alpha. He could feel her soothing thoughts before he politely tapped into them, leaving a mental note of his own. 'We need to speak.' A prompting tug on her mind told her where. They wouldn't be in the open. Instead, the earth alpha seemed to step DOWN, creating a pathway beneath his own dwelling. He sealed it behind him, leaving no trace of his disappearance. The tunnel opened a little ways outside of the encampment, away from where any scouts might stumble across them.

'Tell me when you're ready. I can open a path for you.'

-

When Jazereth appeared at his side, Landon hardly noticed. When she took one of his arms, the male seemed ready to protest - but couldn't. He hummed wearily as he heard the alpha's words. It was true: by speaking to him, Jazereth had inadvertently caused a reaction that was far more violent than necessary.

Just thinking about it made his head throb. Landon couldn't respond to Jazereth. Instead, another brief brush of feeling touched her mind. This time, it was reassurance. His blue eyes lingered on the woman as she rubbed at her face, trying to hide her emotion.

Landon would have spoken had he been able to. The feelings that Jazereth were receiving ... she only got around him. His gaze was suddenly calm, cool, and completely lucid. It might not be her fault. It might be his abilities. Or ... an emotional attachment? Landon immediately brushed that thought away. Alphas didn't go for scrappers. Not only was it uncouth, but it was simply never done.

As they headed toward their own clan's dwellings, the male concentrated on putting one foot in front of the other. By the time they reached their destination, Landon was leaning on Jazereth heavily, barely able to keep himself awake.

"Rest," he breathed, unable to say more. He desperately needed to rest.

-

Sona grinned. "I would like that." Her blue eyes flickered with a smile as she took a drink of her own choice, something similar to Roulan's. She slowly turned, waiting for Roulan to follow her as she headed toward another table. This time, they would play a game.

"Play?" Sona asked, grinning. It was a game similar to checkers, but meant for an unsteady hand. It was extremely simple, but fun. "Just for a while?"

((Really not sure what to do with these two. ^__^"

(I know same here well we will just have to see what happens)

Roulan had watched Sona walk away and chose to go and follow after her. He had started running in a slow trot just to catch up with her. When he did catch up with her there was something on the table he hadn't seen before "What is this?" he cocked his head to the side as he observed the strange objects on the table.

When she had replied that he wanted to play Roulan sat down slowly "what is this game?" he noticed red and black pieces but had no idea what they were for.

Jazereth was slightly calmed by the reassurance Landon had sent. But she couldn't forget that he got hurt because of her. She had dragged him into this mess with all the other alphas. Practically carrying Landon, they made their way to the fire clan's camp. His body was unnervingly light, and Jazereth supported him easily. She gingerly guided the scrapper towards her sleeping quarters. "We'll go to my hut. It's closer and I can treat you there." As he muttered the word 'rest', her back stiffened. Landon needed to lay down and fast. His strength was already gone. Gently, the alpha took his legs in one arm and back in the other. Lifting him, she carried him the rest of the way.

Inside her tent she placed a moist cloth on his forehead. His condition had gotten worse after he started lying down. "It'll be over soon, Landon.",she whispered. Placing a hand on the top of his head, Jazereth lightly pushed his soaked strands of hair away from his face. Placing her hand on the top of his head, she proceeded to heal him.

Coventina walked her mind reader back to her hut, and once the girl was there and resting, the alpha se tout once again. Not stopping to change out of her dress ment for the celebration the woman walked calmly to the close hut. Stepping inside she walked over to the bed where Deven laid. running a hand through his hair, she frowned as a tear fell down her cheeks. "If I die... Then I take all of our happiness with me... I'm sorry that I wasn't strong enough to tell you the truth." she breathed and kissed his forehead, leaving the warmth of her lips, adn a tear on his skin. Leaving the hut, she then cleared her mind, knowing she was to meet Noctis. As she stepped forward he politely entered her mind and she smiled softly. Agreeing to take the passage, she waited for it to open and took in a large breathe. Shudering at the thought of the cavern that had closed in on her and Noctis when she had been taken shook her core. Swiftly walking through, she found her heart racing and her breath speeding up. Trying to stay calm, she could not keep her composure. Sprinting in the nearly pure darkness she gasped as suddenly she was out and fell against the strong form that was Noctis. She shuddered in his arms and shivered, before looking up into his eyes, trying to get rid of the fear in her system.

(Im so sorry I have been gone for so long. I got home for summer Vacation and other than working all day every day, I had absolutely no internet at home and no way to check this rp and continue to post. Can someone catch me up on whats been happening? Again I am so so so so so so sorry.)

Demi lit up like the moon on a harvest moon night. She was so excited just to put on the dress, she just decided she would figure out how on her own. As she slipped out of her own clothes, the weird feeling of being undressed in front of everyone else seemed to come back to her, making her a little uneasy. as soon as she slipped it on, she felt the smooth fabric along her skin and how it formed to her body. She would look absolutely astonishing in the dress. Maybe her mother and father were right. She would have to watch out for all of the males trying to get near her tonight. Once it was done, she nervously twirled around in it in front of the other two and smiled a smile she had never really had before. It was nice to be recognized by the others, but she had to constantly remind herself not to get to carried away with it all. That sort of thought could get her into trouble with everyone around, so she must remain humble as well as happy. "So? What do you guys think?"

"A game that they teach many of the younglings," Sona said, her smile growing wide. "It's simple to learn." With that, she set her drink aside and pulled the board toward her. Pointing out the red, she said they were her side. The black were his. The explanation was simple: Get your own pieces to the other side of the board, with a few tricks here and there. ((I'm going to say it's an extremely simplified version of checkers, or something. I don't really know....))

Sona made the first move, looking to Roulan with a patience that was so common to the Water tribe's members. Prompting him gently, she suggested the first move. Throughout the course of the first game, she led him until he got the hang of it. In all actuality, she was an incredible teacher. She didn't push him to take new steps, but seemed to know when he was ready to stretch his wings a little. Explaining tactics as she went along, Sona's blue eyes took in as much as possible as Roulan learned.

"Do you want to try another practice round?" she asked as the first match ended. She'd won, but Sona had explained everything as she played, showing Roulan which moves were good or bad, and letting him learn the hard way near the end of the game.

-

Landon was startled when he felt Jazereth lifted him. Uncomfortable at first, he let a frown furrow his brow. He wasn't able to keep it there, though. Though the mind reading was over, the scrapper's mind was still fighting to keep itself healthy and running. Sadly, there were after-effects. And those said effects were crashing down on him all at once.

It was a lucky thing that Jazereth had carried him the rest of the way. Landon dipped out of consciousness briefly before she managed to get him into the right tent. A realization surfaced in his muddy thoughts as Landon's blue eyes opened. I've never been inside the alpha's tent before. Honestly, he hadn't spent much time near her at all. As a scrapper, he'd mostly kept himself skirting the pack and its inhabitants.

A dampness on his forehead brought Landon's attention back to the present. Whispered words were difficult to understand, but the scrapper smiled slightly to convey he'd heard them. Would it really be over soon? Landon didn't know. He couldn't remember his mind ever feeling quite so strained and bruised.

Fingers brushed over his forehead, and the scrapper closed his eyes as Jazereth's hand rested over him. A strange feeling followed. At first, it was uncomfortable. The walls he'd built up for years to shield his true thoughts, or any of his former associations, were thick ... but weak. As Jazereth's healing gently pushed its way into his mind, Landon's battered mental instinct fought back as best it could.

A spike of pain was shot through their momentary link, and Landon fought to pull it back. He obviously struggled with the reaction, and huffed out a quick breath as the pain tried to lash out toward Jazereth once again. "I'm sorry," he breathed, forcing himself to ease and let her healing take its hold. It was a struggle, but eventually Jazereth felt her abilities flow through him normally.

Though he looked tired, Landon obviously felt less pain. Briefly, it looked as though he'd nuzzled Jazereth's hand as she healed him. A brief brush of mental energy touched hers. Appreciation.

-

Noctis followed Coventina's progress closely, his abilities keeping close track of her as she moved through the tunnel. He was puzzled about her quick movements, but just as he began to focus on whether or not something was chasing her...

He gasped in surprise as a warm body rammed into him, nearly knocking the breath from him. Noctis' maroon eyes locked on Coventina, and he registered the fear before anything else. There was a slight tremor in the ground beneath them as the Earth alpha pulled the woman close to him protectively.

"Easy," he muttered, swiftly realizing that Coventina's fear was nothing tangible. As she shuddered, her heart racing, Noctis met her gaze and gently brushed pale hair from her face. Perhaps it was something in the fear, or in the way Coventina looked at him with that hint of desperation to feel safe again that spurred him on. Noctis had always been an impulsive one.

The male caught the Water alpha's face, pressing his lips to hers. Despite their decisions and everything that had happened, Noctis felt his mental link with Coventina strengthen tenfold in that moment of contact. His emotion surged through the link, though it wasn't intentional.

"Nothing can reach you here," Noctis whispered, not bothering to try and reign in the surge of emotion that seemed to rush about his every thought and movement.

(( It's fine, Esmme and Daeman.))

Cautiously, Jazereth entered his mind. At every turn Landon's instincts were there to fight her. Even after the scrapper had finally managed to get his mind under an unstable control, pain still flared through the shared link. Her facial features tightening, the alpha gently prodded his mind, looking for the source of his affliction.

It had been over 5 minutes already, and no progress was being made. Beads of sweat clung to her hairline. Landon's mind was like a mine field. Every step she took was unsure, the indecisiveness was driving her up the wall. No matter how careful she was, he always felt a twinge of fear or discomfort. Finally, Jazereth found the source. Like a big angry mass of lava, it flared. On the offensive, the female commander quickly took charge of the situation. In mere moments, she had it sorted out. Withdrawing her subconscious from his, the leader felt his mind slowly unwind, calming down.

It would take some time for Landon's mind to become completely at ease. Slumping down, Jazereth leaned against the bed frame. "Get some rest,"she commanded,"you'll need it." Her head started to nod slowly, jerking back up right, she straightened her neck. But sure enough, her eyelids began to droop. Within the matter of a few moments, the teen was sleeping soundly.

Coventina found herself in warm arms suddenly, the embrace strong and soothing. Slowly looking up she realized that Noctis had caught her, and his pressence was soothing her fear. Looking up as the Earth seemed to tremble in time with her shudder, she met those bright eyes. His face was that of a bit of worry, but she found comfort in his gaze. When he leaned down into her, she naturally leaned her head up. Accepting his kiss, she kissed him back deeply, and enjoyed the warmth of his lips. She felt safe as the kiss lasted, and caused their shared link to strengthen and grow to share emotions without the need of her powers. It was something so beautiful and breath taking.

Opening her bright blue eyes to meet his, she smiled slowly as he spoke. She was safe in his arms, safe when he was around. It comforted her that he was there for her, and she took it as a sign of his love. "Thank you... I have never been a fan of dark tunnels like that..." she breathed and then smiled softly. "Thank you for catching me, you're getting very good at that." she said lightly and then sighed softly, not wanting to pull away from his embrace. But she continuely looked into his eyes and memorized his face in this moonlight. It was a peaceful moment now that the fear had passed.

There was a single strike of pressure, like he'd suddenly risen hundreds of feet into the sky. Landon drew a breath, expecting pain. It never came. Instead, Jazereth's mind slowly left his, and everything slowly became calm. The scrapper opened blue eyes to gaze at Jazereth, though the male that looked back at the Fire alpha had no emotion on his face. Whether this was due to the recent mental activity, or not, it was hard to tell.

"Thank you," he said quietly, and then closed his eyes and pretended to rest. She'd saved him. Jazereth had saved his mind from splintering.

Landon, the true Landon, watched Jazereth after she nodded off to sleep. He was suddenly questioning his purpose among the Fire clan. In fact, this attachment (for there truly was something there) was quite unhealthy if he was to keep his alliances where they were supposed to be.

A cool hand reached up to push fiery hair from Jazereth's face. She had saved him. This young alpha, just a couple years younger than himself, had worn herself to the bone trying to soothe him. That was more than Vengeance had ever done.

A frown tugged at Landon's brow as he traced a thumb over Jazereth's brow. She trusted him so completely; she was drawn to him. Lowering his hand, Landon let his emotionless expression stay in place as he closed his eyes. This was his true self - the emotions were masks that he used. The scrapper was a mask; a role to be played. He played it so well, he'd nearly become a scrapper - but the mental game was all just part of the plan.

This, though? This emotion and pull he felt every time he met Jazereth's eyes? This wasn't part of the plan at all.

What do I do?

Not risking sending a message out from his alpha's tent, Landon merely settled in and decided to rest. He'd have to figure it out in due time.

-

It seemed that his earlier decision, the one to push their feelings aside so it didn't tear a rift in their packs, had been replaced by desire. Noctis watched Coventina catch her breath, appreciating how her soft form melded so perfectly against his. Maroon eyes caught on her blue ones, and another surge of fondness pushed its way through their mental link.

The Earth alpha chuckled at her comment. "You're easy to catch." And difficult to keep one's hands off of, apparently. Noctis allowed his hands to rest on her, finally finding places to rest. One was at her hip, the other continued to cradle Coventina's cheek. For a while, nothing was said. The moment didn't fade, but Noctis felt dread welling up within him as he found himself lost in the woman's eyes.

That emotion, like every other, drifted through their mental link.

"We'll be killed," he whispered, resting his forehead against Coventina's. "Neither of our packs will have alphas, and that's the best situation. " Noctis felt his hand slip back behind her head, catching in her silver hair as the tense thoughts filled his mind. As always, his body reacted with emotion. "This is stupid."

Noctis' voice hardened, but he didn't make an effort to put distance between them.

"There is so little time." Suddenly sounding hopeless, Noctis closed his eyes as a wave of sorrow and desire washed through him equally.

Smiling gently as she heard his words on catching her, Coventina loved the look in his eyes. His warm hands rested on her body and invited her to lean against his body more, and meld her body against his. The moment was beautiful, and blissful when they didn't remember all of the danger they could get themselves in. Though the moment ended as Noctis remembered that the bad could actually affect them at any moment. She tried to reassure him through their link, but she honestly shared his worry. This was the most dangerous moment they had shared except for when she had been abducted in the caves.

Resting his head against her's, she accepted his emotions completely as her own, as if they were the same person. Hearing his words, and then sighed. "You're right." she breathed and looked down for a second, but his hand that went into her hair called her to gaze back up to his handsome features. "I wish things were different... The law isn't very logical." she breathed and then her eyes flashed with a spark of an idea at his last words. There was little time. That was it!

"Vengeance will come for us soon. We do have very little time. That's what they are playing at. " she said and then pulled away a little bit and pointed to his chest. "They abducted me because they know we will keep to our duties and stay apart, and it will tare at us mentally and emotionally, putting us at a disadvantage." Coventina explained. "They also know that Jazereth is young, she is hot headed, she can easily be trapped if Pathose puts his mind too it, and he grabbed me because he knows I will sheild her... She's my niece... And Navi is my oldest friend besides Oberon... She does not trust anyone any more. Not even some of her own pack." she explained and beamed. "That's it!" she exclaimed and beamed.

"Their biggest advantage is that they are under one leader. They all are one unit. They all trust eachother and move as one." the water alpha said and then looked at Noctis dead in the eyes. "We need to combine the packs. This relationship is exactly what we need." she said dead seriously. "If we mate, and we can get the support of our packs, then we are half way there... We can then talk to Jazereth, see if she will combine, which if its logical she will. Navi is the one I worry about, but if we play our cards right we can do this." she said confidently and then looked at Noctis again.

She waited to hear and feel his reaction. Was it crazy? Yes. Was it risky? Hell yes. Could they die? There was about a 90% chance. But in her mind, they were going to die soon anyway, whether they liked it our not. By the vengeance, or their own wolves. They needed to act, and this idea seemed the most logical, but Noctis had to be with her. It was the only way this was gonna work. In her mind she waited with that question held in her heart.

Jazereth's mind wandered into an aimless sleep. Phantom images ran across her mind like prey fleeing from an unknown predator. Trying to catch these visions, the alpha commanded her mind to stop. As though walking through the pictures herself, the teen sifted through them. Finally seeing an unfamiliar memory, she stopped and stepped into the frozen moment in time.

Two male figures addressing each other, though one seemed to be in command. Recognizing the smaller man as Landon, Jazereth's interest was piqued. "I am disappointed in you. We gave you a purpose in life and yet you chose them. You abandoned us. If you were on your deathbed, would a single one care? I can't believe you sided with those scum!" In turn, the young scrapper merely bowed his head. 'Why? Why don't you defend yourself Landon?',she wondered.

Opening her eyes, the alpha was greeted by the rhythm of Landon's steady breathing. Looking towards the doorway, Jazereth's sight focused on the light filtering in. What had the dream been trying to convey?

((Omg yus! So sorry! I thought I had included Akane's post! Thanks for the reminder!))

Akane watched as Demi moved to put the dress on and tried to supress her excitement. She wanted to see her little one glow like the beauty she was, with all the pride and certainty she should have as she was the perfect daughter. Watching as the dress slid onto the form or her daughter so well the mother was speachless for a few seconds, but it was obvious in her eyes and face with how beautiful Demi truely was. She was awe struck. Being like any mother she fixed her daughter's blonde hair a little bit and then adjusted a little fold on the dress that was caught and then stepped back to look over her daughter once more. "Oh Demi. You're so gorgeous, and so perfect. That dress is the perfect thing. Oh honey what I wouldn't give to show every wolf in the world how beautiful you look. I might actually enjoy seeing the males reactions of you before kicking their tales." She said, with a bit of humor at the end. Trying not to cry she hugged her daughter tightly and then pulled away a bit to wipe away a tear before it could fall. "Do you want me to curl your hair or something? Anything more you want to do? I want this night to be perfect for you honey." she breathed as she cupped her girl's face and kissed her forehead. She then snagged Morgana and pulled them both into another hug and laughed. "Oh how beautiful my two daughters are! I am so blessed!" she said loudly, just to make the moment more light hearted and funny.

Coventina's idea was... crazy, at best. But it made sense, in a nonsensical kind of way. Hesitation was the first and foremost emotion that flit through Noctis as he listened. He wanted to hope; wanted to say it would work.

"We risk failing either way," he muttered, slowly letting his hope rise. The Earth alpha felt his emotions tug against his mind, prompting him to react. Noctis smiled a bit, and then gave in to the temptation, allowing his volatile emotions to sweep through them both. Wrapping both of his arms around Coventina, Noctis lifted her from the ground excitedly, pressing a warm kiss to her lips. "I say we go down swinging."

His gaze was playful as he set the woman down, noting again how much smaller she was. Dainty, light, and pale - she was the very picture of her element. Coventina, the Water alpha, had coincidentally fallen for an emotional wrecking ball - the Earth alpha. Noctis almost laughed at the thought, finding his own mind easily transferring the oddities and differences to Coventina's mind so she could see them.

"The hardest part will be getting support," Noctis said suddenly, bringing his thoughts back to their plan. "My pack is... unsteady. Those who once supported me are now in danger." Like Savannah ... and Demi. "I can ... alpha them into agreement, but they won't be whole-hearted or happy."

((:O was that the scene where Vengeance and Landon met up right before the alphas caught up? I believe it's just a vision that Jazereth is being granted, but I could be wrong. Was it a dream, or a memory? Or a mixture of both? LOL! Great description of memories, by the way. I love how fleeting they seemed, and how Jaz had to chase after them. :D))

Landon struggled through the night, though his body stayed still. Mentally, he was thrashing, trying not to drown in strange memories and unleashed torrents of emotion that he'd tucked away in the corners of his mind. It was strange having no restraint. Whatever Jazereth had healed had broken down the barrier he'd spent years fortifying.

The scrapper didn't remember his dreams. There were flashes of faces, familiar words, and strange clips of darkness. Everything was always clawing at him. The one face he did remember, though, was Pathose. It wasn't the hatred-twisted face of the Vengeance pack that he saw, but the soft and childish features of a child.

... Pathose?

Landon frowned, his eyes opening as he stared thoughtfully at the tent above him. He recalled trees, and the woods at night. Playful romps in tall grasses came to mind. Suddenly, the water that had been drowning him in his dreams made sense. They had played in that pool of water in the moonlight, though they had been told to stay close to the camp.

Friends. They'd been friends once.

Landon's blue eyes carried a strange kind of hurt then. He missed that boy. He missed Pathose so much in that moment, the scrapper nearly got out of bed and headed off after Vengeance. In fact, he found himself sitting up before he could even focus on his actions. Landon stood, unsteady at first, and turned his gaze toward the mouth of the tent. His desire to go to Pathose was so strong, he felt it through his entire being. It was like there was a resonating note within him, humming so tightly that it felt like he would break.

Blue eyes widened as a burst of mental energy flit through his mind. This time, it really did call for his friend. Landon clamped down on it, struggling to contain the mind link and destroy the bond between them. He couldn't do that - not here, and not now. By the time he managed to tuck the sudden outburst safely away in a corner of his mind, Landon's lean form was covered in a light sheen of perspiration.

How long had he been standing there, trying to stop himself from crying out to Pathose? As though suddenly awakening, Landon took in his surroundings. Turning, he saw Jazereth. Surprise flit over his face first, and then he fought to keep guilt from overtaking the expression. Why did it feel so bad to look at her after that?

"Good morning," he said quietly, seeming uncertain. Landon's pale features became emotionless again. The look was not ... natural. Not to the sweet, soft scrapper of a boy that had skirted Jazereth's pack for years.

((Gotta start breaking in with tension here. ;) And now he's going to be avoiding Navi as well! He is her son, after all. >:3))

Coventina waited and seeing his smile come to his features made hope rise within her being. Grinning widely as he swept her off her feet, she laughed and kissed him back deeply on those lips she craved for. His words of choice were wonderful, that was exactly what she thought of the situation. They would try, and work together. They would go at this with the strength they had combined, and it was the best way to go in her mind. Allowing Noctis to point out the differences between them once more, she laughed with him at some of them. "Some will think us crazy." she admitted with a smile and giggled gently. "But I believe crazy is just what we need." she added and then smiled wider.

When he brought up the idea of how to get his pack to follow him, she nodded. He could alpha them, but to her, that was just asking for it to break. "I can speak with my people, they will see reason, some have already brought forth the idea of combining into one unit, seeing how well the Vengeance worked. They will join me. But we need to prove that it works... And I know just how to do it." she said and then grinned. "You and I, we will spare against two others. One from your clan, and one from mine. We will show them that if they can combine strengths, they can even withstand fighting against their alphas." she said and then grinned. "We can give them the fire in their spirits they need." she said and then thought to herself deeply. "Who is a warrior whom you could approach to do this task? One that will try the idea. I know that Sky will not, and I do not wish to put Oberon in the place. I will choose Starfish, she is one of our most powerful water benders, but she is also one most open to change." she offered with logic and then laughed again.

Their plan could work. They could win, and they could be together. After Noctis spoke of the warrior he thought of she giggled and wrapped her arms around him, humming, and pulled him into a little dance. Laughing and singing they twirled. When they fell in the grass the woman laughed as her hair fell out of its curled bun and flittered around her features. Looking into Noctis's face, she reached out and cupped his cheek. Coventina was happy, and she was in love. Plus for the first time ever, she felt free to be who she was. "I love you Noctis." she breathed and smiled gently as she brushed his bangs from his eyes. "Thank you for accepting me."

((Thanks, it was suppose to be a little mixture of both. =] I apologize, Daeman, if this ever happens again feel free to spam me with messages.))

Jazereth watched with a detached expression as Landon's body shook with concentration. He had seemed so eager to leave the bed behind then stopped, restraining himself. After a brief period of time, the scrapper noticed the alpha's presence. With a sigh, she heaved herself unsteadily onto her feet. "Good morning. How are you feeling? Is your mind yet scrambled?" Turning her back to him, Jazereth moved to the rucksack in the corner. Rummaging, the teen pulled out a new set of hunting clothes, they were more elaborate than the pair she usually wore. Slinging them over her shoulder, the leader once more reached inside the bag. Throwing the clump of clothes at Landon, she motioned to his earth stained outfit and then to the new ones.

After pulling the shirt over her head and settling it around her torso, Jazereth said over her shoulder,"If you want to go back you should go. You yearn to be with your kin, do not deprive yourself this. Leave before things get even more muddled. Now's your last chance. I can feel that the alphas will soon seek my help, once they do this I won't be able to protect you anymore."
Gathering her hair, the chief quickly and efficiently braided it down her back.

Admiring her own work, Morgana nodded to Akane's words. Gently spinning Demicora in a circle, she made herself busy by holding up different pieces parchment to the teenager's face. While Demi's mother was still in a tizzy, the fashionable woman had finished pairing the makeup to the dress. Next was to pickingout the shoes. Once again taking out her tape measure, Morgana bent over and calculated Demicora's shoe size.

Straightening herself, she was suddenly pulled into a tight embrace. After a suffocating moment, the female detached herself from the touchy-feely group. It just happened to be that Morgana did not exactly go out of her way to receive hugs. They were far too "close' for her. Turning to Demi, she asked,"What would you like to be done about your makeup and shoes? I have taken your measurements and will get started on preparing them right away.
