As Ketaro helped the boy up, he grimaced. Luka bit back his cry of pain, instead forcing his brown eyes to stay open. "Thank you," he rasped, trying to ignore the thick liquid that trailed over his neck and shoulder. He'd been rammed by one of the creatures that attacked, and was bitten fiercely. Luka cast a sad look to the other warrior. "We can't . . . leave him here." The other warrior had been an elder: trained all his life for war, and he'd sacrificed himself for the betterment of the tribe.

Limping along beside Ketaro, the brown-haired youth felt his breath hitch in his chest every time weight was set on his torn leg. "Someone will have to . . . come back for him."
-

Navi nodded to Ketaro as the male helped Luka back toward their camp. The dark-skinned woman then turned her gaze back to Syndarion. "Then your clan will be restored when peace comes between the elements once more?"
-

When Noctis' anger finally settled, his maroon eyes locked on the woman. She was hurt. That alone was enough to move any man, even one who was too prideful to help others. They'd helped one another: Coventina deserved it. The alpha stepped over the dead body of one enemy, shifting forms with a low growl.

"You're hurt," he hissed, realizing that the marks on her side looked . . . well, like stone-grinding instead of teeth and claws. My fault. Noctis moved closer. Without waiting for consent, he knelt and pulled the pale female into his arms. He wasn't about to leave Coventina out here - and she needed medical attention. "Where is your healer?"

He was suddenly quite aware of her sweet scent, and the gentle flicker of hair against his arm.

Feeling the sand shift as Noctis came closer, the woman could not seem to form the words she wanted. The more she kept her eyes open, the more wounds she noticed, and she could feel the weight of the pain of each and every one. Suddenly warm arms encircled her and lifted her from the cool stinging sand floor. Realizing that Noctis had lifted her, the water alpha smiled weakly. "You saved my life..." she breathed, her head moving to sag and rest against his chest on it's own. "He's in the caves with the rest of the pack..." Pointing towards the rocky cliffs, a cave at the edge where sea met sand was a large opening in the rock. Her pale arm dropped from fatigue and her eyes sweeper over the damage. She nearly howled in grief, seeing her two best warriors dead on the sand. They had just recovered when Noctis had arrived, and she had been so hopeful with their lives being spared. Now they were gone... And that was the last of her trained warriors. Two tears slid down her cheeks. "My warriors... My people... she thought painfully and her strength was dwindling fast. "Walk in the cave until you see the gem incrusted walls... Turn right, and then you should find the pack in the main cave room..." she choked out, the pain and grief mixing to be a hard combination to take.

Syndarion nodded. "That was what I was told. I was warned about the day's of frost from the god's, and they saved us. I wasen't about to betray them for a petty Dispute that happended year's ago. They Deserve better. "He said, then looked at his gaurd. "go back to the temple, and call up the gaurd. I want atleast 6 Able bodied men and Women to go to the Clan houses, and aid in preparation's. Username: Daeman35
Name: Demicora
Rank: Warrior of the Earth Pack
Abilities:Able to use Mixed Martial Arts and is very light on her feet as well as an excellent tracker.
Powers: Ability to manipulate rocks and dirt using martial arts moves, Telepath, Speed
Appearence:
Bio:
Demicora was a pup when she was found stranded in the woods, dodging everyone. It was one of the males that took her in and taught her the trade of being a warrior of earth. Being that she had no past, she also didnt have a last name. The male only just called her Demicora which was his way of saying lost child. He taught her to be the very warrior needed to make sure nothing happened to the wolves in their tribe. He died of sickness in his later years having no pups of his own, nor mate to speak of. Now there was a meeting because the water tribes secrets were almost stolen.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Demicora was training with some of the eldest warriors, being young to be a warrior herself, but she had excelled quickly. They came at her in packs and she took them down, fighting each off at the same time. The movements she had portrayed were quite fluid and flexible looking as she finished them off by jumping onto one of the male's shoulders, her leg around his neck. He didnt realize what was happening until she bent backwards and threw him with all her force into his friends while landing on one hand and both her feet, looking away from them. They all looked at her with a smirk, but that meant they were embarrassed, yet impressed by her skills.
Demicora had been training when a horrible smell hit her nose. It was the smell of danger. Quickly she ran through the trees towards the water tribe. Her mentor had gone with the Alpha to that pack in order to see what had happened before, but now it felt as though danger had occurred. Finally, she reached the site where the action had taken place. Once there, she seemed to get swept off her feet, but quickly got back off of them as a tidal wave hit just where she had been. Having to swim was not her favorite thing in the world, but it was better than taking a bath in the small streams near the Earth camps. This water was meant to wash something away. Then she saw the dogs that had drowned wash into the sea. An eyebrow raised as she watched them wash away. She ran in her dog form towards the pack and found her mentor and the Alpha taking care of the Water Alpha, Conventina. Ugh. She must have gotten hurt.
With short steps, she walked ever so much closer to her Alpha. "Sir. Is there any assistance that you require at this time? I can scout around the area to make sure there are no more... intruders." She said hesitantly.
Ketaro nodded. "But for now. We must worry about you and the living. It is the living's job to take on the dead's dreams. And that won't work if you're dead.",he said with a ghost of a smile.
Hearing the heavy grief in Coventina's voice made Noctis' expression darken. He said nothing further as he stepped through the sand and toward the cliffs. He wouldn't stop until this woman was safe. Just as the Earth alpha was about to speak, he heard the approach of another.
A growl started in his chest, but when his maroon eyes moved to the stranger he found Demicora. "I wasn't aware that you were anywhere close," he said, narrowing his eyes. The tribes were spaced out quite well, having been given their own lands to care for. The warrior-based tribe of the Earth clan was near the mountains and forests . . . and that was where Noctis kept them.
"Tend to the elder," Noctis said bluntly, nodding to the warrior who had fallen during the battle. His features showed no emotion, but his eyes flickered with sorrow. The warrior had been a soft-spoken man with enough bravery to fill an entire tribe with hope. It was a sad thing to see him go. "I am taking Coventina to her healer."
Honestly, Noctis wasn't sure what he thought of Demicora's sudden appearance. Did that mean that his tribe was closer than he'd thought? If so, he would be plenty angry. There should be quite the bit of space between the tribes. . . .
He headed for the cliffs, reaching the cave just as frustration began to take hold in his mind once more. Growling, the alpha let his maroon eyes scan for the right path. It was a few moments later when he found the crystal-laced stone that he was told to look for. After that, the earth spoke to him. He could find the other water elementals without even trying: he was of the earth, and it would whisper to him at every turn.
-
Luka winced as he misstepped, landing wrong on his foot. "Then I can carry his dreams. I just don't want to see his body defiled," the youth muttered, his arm tightening about Ketaro so that they could move more quickly. If only his leg wasn't torn. . . .
"Do you think the other alphas will be alright?"
Demicora knew the look on Noctis' face She had done something to upset him. "I wasn't sir. The danger was written in the minds of the animals so i came quickly to your aid." She said making sure not to keep eye contact, but to kneel as a sort of respectful manner to say she was sorry for her actions. It wasn't like her instincts weren't sharp. She was able to read the minds of other animals using her telepath ability which had led her to believe that the water pack was in danger. The talk of the animals spread like wild fire all the time, other times it was the daily routine. She had learned how to depict between the different types of reactions the other animals had to situations that surrounded them or the others near them.
Though it was forbidden, she could see why the male had been so disappointed in a sense to see that she was there. Quickly, she followed his orders, saying "Yes sir," and went to the elder in order to make sure he was alright. "Elder. Are you alright?" She asked. Sorrow filled her eyes, for this was another of the wolves in the tribe that had taken care of her. A little orphan wolf from way back, that grew to be a warrior, just like those that had raised her. "Here. Let's get you back to the pack. They will know how to heal you." She said as she touched him lightly. A smile crossed her face so that the male wouldnt fret about what seemed to be happening to him. She was a little scared for him, for he seemed to be... in a way... passing on. This was not going to be what she expected, nor wanted at this point. It broke her heart, just the thought of it.
There was a moment of tense silence, then people started talking at once-- not back at Jazereth, but amongst themselves. The warriors surrounding the stone platform split up as they went to follow the alpha's orders. The cooks that had been in the middle of preparing dinner stopped and began to store the food to take on the trek to the water clan. Families helped in disassembling tents and in gathering any possessions. It was merely a part of the natural cycle of the fire pack. The pack would periodically move to different corners of land. However, this time there was a more specific reason for moving.
As Jazereth passed by, Cheza only gave her a nod. I understand. The fire pack wouldn't wait for their enemies to come to them.
She gathered her own things, which wasn't much, and was soon a part of the long march to join the water pack.
Coventina was barely awake as Noctis spoke to a young warrioress from his tribe. Her wounds were bleeding badly, and her eyes were brimming with tears. Her poor tribe, how would she ever be able to keep their faith in her. Her head leaning against NOctis's chest, her ears took in the beating of his heart. When he walked into the caves, she heard the whispers and talking of her tribe. Suddenly growles went up as he entered the main room, until there was a growl louder then all of them that made them fall silent. The young warrior in training Sky ran up to them, his eyes wide in shock at seeing the alpha covered in blood... Her own blood. "Healer!" he called startling the alpha from her near sleep, and she pressed against Noctis more until she realized the look of the young warrior. "Sky... Is everyone alright?" she asked softly, and he nodded. "Yes, but you need help alpha..." he said worried and the healer walked up. "Please bring the alpha to the beds in the next room..." she said softly and Coventina grabbed Sky's wrist with surprising strength as he reached for her. "Stay. Watch the entrance. I refuse to have anyone else hurt today." she snarrled and the male nodded and stepped back, letting Noctis follow the healer into the healing room. Once there, the healer motioned for the Earth Alpha to set Coventina on the mat on the stone table. "Earth Alpha. I'm going to need your assistance, there's a tooth lodged into her leg, and she might thrash, we don't have time for pain releiving solutions and potions. Many appoligies alpha." the woman said and Coventina smiled grimly. "Just do what you must." she whispered laying on the mat, nearly shaking in the thought of the pain that was yet to come, seeking hope for reassurance in Noctis's eyes. She didn't know if he was going to leave her or not.
The elder smiled slightly as Demicora approached. His dusty brown hair was matted with blood, and half of his face was covered with crimson. "Always the first to respond to danger," he said huskily, coughing and pressing a hand to his side. He'd been badly beaten - the enemies had not gotten to Noctis nor Coventina, but at his own sacrifice.
"I won't get to a healer in time," he rasped, swallowing thickly. Reaching a sticky hand up to touch Demicora's arm, the male closed his eyes. "My son . . . needs to know." His son, Senri, was one of the other warriors. He was a strong youth, and rarely did he leave his father to go on missions alone. It was only because of Noctis' words that he'd stayed behind.
((:XD Yes, Senri. ;)))
-
Navi nodded in understanding. If Syndarion was willing to risk himself to save her, then . . . he could be trusted. The female started back toward her encampment. "How should we prepare for this?" Her white eyes darted over to Ketaro as he helped Luka, and she smiled grimly. It wasn't a good thing to see anyone hurt.
-
When they entered the caves, Noctis spoke softly with the first woman he saw. It took a few moments of persuasion, but it was eventually let across that he wasn't the enemy. The attack wasn't from the Earth clan, and Coventina needed help immediately. Somehow, Noctis was incredibly patient - but only in the moments it took to find the healer.
"I'll do it," Noctis set Coventina down, his maroon eyes boring into hers. The Water alpha looked ready to cry, and she was trembling lightly as she tried to stay awake. "Breathe easy," he whispered, setting his warm hands on her shoulders. Ever so lightly, he pressed her down. In that moment the expression on his face was serene. Gone was his usual frown, and instead his gaze was full of admiration. A woman should be unconscious, and yet she was still fighting. Noctis' features drew closer to Coventina's, and he held her gaze steadily. "It will be over soon." He was waiting for the right moment. Just the right moment.
Syndarion took navi's hand's, and bowed. "By the River of the God's, and by my Oath as Clan leader, I declare Un-swaying loyalty to the Clan of Wind. In your Time of need, and desparation, My people will aid you. "He said. "Don't forget that. "He said.
Coventina allowed Noctis to press her down lightly by her shoulders, though honestly she was so weak and in pain that she wouldn't have had enough energy to fight him anyway. As the healer moved to her leg the woman kept her eyes on the Earth alpha's above her. What a handsome face, such piercing eyes. The thoughts were something that she thought often, having a love for looking at people and their beautifully different features. He was very exotic compared to her pack, which was to be expected. Suddenly the healer was digging in the wound and the water alpha let out a dry cry of pain before she grit her teeth and set her jaw. She had flinched, but the only thing that kept her down was that it wasn't too bad, yet. When the tooth was pulled from her flesh Coventina gave a sigh of relief and visibly relaxed, a tear slipping from her eye. "Much appologies alpha, but these wounds are covered in sand, and they need to be scrubbed out." the woman said and began gathering water and cleaning tools, making Coventina swallow thickly. She knew this would be the most painful.
Navi looked at the male as he took her hand. Her dark skin was such a contrast against his, it was almost frightening. Her white eyes narrowed, and she slowly met his gaze. "I will not forget, Syndarion." Wind clan had gained a powerful ally. She wouldn't forget - she knew they would need them eventually. "It is time to return home. We should prepare for battle, and for the upcoming Feast."
-
Luka's brown eyes filled with sorrow, and he bowed his head. "Thank you, Gemini," he said, looking to the body of his old friend. "The stars will be bright tonight as they welcome their new member." Luka kept his hold on Ketaro, grimacing as he stepped wrong again. It was hard to work with a shredded leg, really.
"I just wish we had been ready. It was . . . just a border patrol." He winced again, and then his eyes lowered. "He jumped in the way. He saved me."
-
Noctis didn't blink when he heard the healer move toward Coventina's leg. Instead, he met her gaze steadily as she set her jaw, fighting against the pain. The Earth alpha never had to push her back down, but instead leaned closer. With the tooth gone, they would need to cleanse the wounds.
His navy hair was just long enough to tickle Coventina's cheek - he was that close. He could feel her light, cool breath on his cheek just as she could feel his on hers. Almost time. Just as the healer began to wash the water from the wounds, Noctis acted. He'd chosen that moment to act.
He pressed his lips to hers, pulling away when she was too emotionally distraught to worry about pain. It had worked: she was completely distracted from her wounds as the healer tended to them. Looking into Coventina's blue eyes, he let a slight smirk flit over his lips. "That works for everyone," he said quietly, his hands still keeping the woman from moving.
Coventina's eyes closed as she tried to even her breathing, though when she opened them it was because she felt a tickling on her cheek. Looking up she was shocked to Noctis so close to her, his face mere in he's from her own. Soft pink entered her cheeks as she looked up at him. About to gasp in pain as the wound washing began, her lips were locked with another, Noctis. Her first reaction was shock, but then her body moved on it's own and she naturally kissed him back. When he pulled away, she looked up at him confused and then narrowed her eyes. "How many times have you done such a thing as this?" she demanded though she gave a yelp as the besides scrubbed deeper into the nasty gash on her side from the rock. Though her thoughts were still on the Earth alpha's odd actions, but they didn't seem to make the lain go awH completely.
"Only a few," Noctis said, his smirk growing. His hold on her never shifted. Instead, he blinked slowly as she yelped. "Always pack members, though." What girl in the Earth clan wasn't dying for a kiss from their ever-strong alpha? Noctis was far from a player, and had only done such a thing . . . well, three times. Four, now.
"My little sister," he said, counting off the first one, "my first mate, and a lovely woman who didn't make it through her fight against poison." Noctis smirked again, and then shook his head. "None of them are still alive." His maroon eyes met Coventina's blue ones again, and he smiled slightly. This time the expression was more honest. "It worked a bit, didn't it? According to various other tries for other people, it does something." It was almost a tradition in his pack. . . .
Ketaro just bowed and kept trying to take as much weight of Luka's leg as possible. "For such a young pup, you speak as if the world you have seen. Such wisdom. Keep that close to your heart. For it will comfort you in your time of need.",he said. Ketaro just hoped if he kept talking that Luka would be side tracted from the pain. Ketaro couldnt imagine what the pain felt like. For he had never been scratched in battle.
It hadn't taken long for her pack to pack up what they could afford to carry. The fire elemental clan had to live on their toes. Constantly moving. "Move out!",Jazereth called. Warriors flanked the elders and children, while she was in front, leading the way. Knowing that they had to arrive before dusk, Jazereth moved back and forth between the front and back of her pack, hurrying them along. 9 hours later, Jazereth could just see the outline of the water clan. Knowing that the safest part of the territory of the water clan for her pack, was near the healers cave. It was well protected, and a perfect surrounding for a battle. Arriving at the healer's cave, Jazereth could tell that something devestating had happened. Leaving her pack in the hands of her warriors, she entered the cave cautiously.
Coventina gave the other alpha a good scowl hearing him list off the other girls he had kissed, only to have it melt away as she realized all of them were gone. Even hearing that silenced her for a little while, wincing in pain as the last wound on that side was scrubbed. Looking into Noctis's eyes, she looked a bit. . . Sad. "I'm sorry for your loss... Those two warriors were my older brothers... I now understand the loss of a sibling." she breathed before giving a growl as her wound was hit again with the hard bristles of the brush that cleaned her wounds. "Though I can not imagine what it's like using your mats... I've... Never had one." she said softly, feeling almost like a child admitting such things.
Luka stayed quiet as the two warriors comforted him. He continued limping along with them until they returned to their pack. He needed his breath, and he needed his strength. The healer would fix him up - hopefully there was no permanent damage.
-
"Never had a mate?" Noctis blinked in surprise, his hold on her loosening. "How long have you been alpha?" He remembered his purpose when the healer went to work on her wound once more. "Surely, you jest." She was such a gorgeous creature - how could no one even pursue her?
The pack was left together, awaiting orders, as Jazereth walked towards a cave that was slightly separated from the rest of the camp. Cheza herself, considering that she had never once been inside of the water pack's territory, couldn't fathom what it was used for. She only assumed it was important somehow.
As for the rest of the group, they formed a blatant spot of crimson in the earth, their clothing and tents testament to the fact that they were from the fire pack. Not that that was a bad thing. They were there to help after all. Even if someone did get the wrong idea, no one in their right minds would attempt to attack a group so large. The warriors were surrounding the other members securely.
Cheza was towards the front of the group, or the closest one to the cave. She was in her wolf form, pacing back and forth slowly as her golden eyes scanned the cave's mouth.
There was a peculiar scent in the air. It was the same smell that lingered after battles.
Still in her wolf form, Jazereth took in her surroundings. Just as she was going to step towards the center of the cave, when she heard a growl of pain. From the sound of it, it was Coventina. Rushing towards the sound, Jazereth saw what condition she was in and growled,"What the hell happened here and why wasn't I notified?!"
Ketaro nodded at Gemini's words. Walking with Luka's weight had made Ketaro worry. If Luka didn't make it how could the pack keep faith in their alpha, let alone him?!
Noctis' gaze shot up when he heard someone protesting in the outer room. Jazereth was followed by a few other of the Water clan's people, and none of them looked happy. Heck, when she demanded answers Noctis' maroon eyes narrowed. A growl built in his chest. That's right. He didn't like anyone.
His hands left Coventina's shoulders immediately, and he bore his fangs angrily. "You weren't notified because it was the business of the Water clan."
