Jazereth snapped back,"Why didnt you call for me when you know that I could've helped with the battle. Now your white sleeves are stained red. And how could you let this barbarian just help you?! I mean, when you need back up I'd thought you'd call someone more stable with his emotions." Pacing in front of Noctis, she said,"I have come to help you and your people. I know that we alphas are in a world of trouble, but it looks like it has already started without me. How could i have let this happen?! Urrg! I knew that this peace wouldn't last!"

Ketaro sighed,"it's nothing I just........things have gone from great to bad, fast. I just worry that it was some mistake I've made that angered the gods."

Needless to say, Noctis bristled. If he'd been a wolf, his hackles would have been raised. He knew very well that his emotions were hardly under reign . . . but he didn't need to have it pointed out. "Perhaps we haven't gotten a spare moment to call for help!" A feral snarl left his lips, and he took a threatening step toward the woman.
((:XD He just likes to make people angry. Heheh.))

Hearing Noctis's surprise as her words her blush upon her cheeks deepened as she looked at the stone wall. "No... Not a single mate. I was too young for most of the men, since that generation had wives already. Not many here in this clan are close to my age... And being an alpha I have no... Time for such things." Coventina said, though her excuse wasn't very confirming. Honestly, the woman felt ashamed to be an alpha and not have any courting wolves after her, but it seemed that it was the way of her people. Shock ran threw the water alpha as the fire alpha burst onto the scene, making her yelp in pain as she tried to move. Growling suddenly she let out a defining bark that echoed threw the caves and glared at them both. "Knock it off Jezereth! You arrived late, so get over it! Noctis saved my life! He is a good man and good alpha and if either of you attempt to stain eachother's names again I will have you dragged to the bottom of the sea!" she snapped growling loudly. Even though she couldn't move the look on her face was dead serious, and with being so close to the sea, they wouldn't last very long. "Now, please calm down and be civil, the only one who has the right to gripe and groan is me. Since the sand seemed to seep into every wound..." she said and watched the healer wash out the brush in a new basin, the blood tainting the water slightly. She then braced herself from more rubbing and pain. She wasn't looking forward to this.

Jazereth's ears flicked back in a jesture of submition. "I am deeply sorry. I was just very worried for you Coventina, you being the favorite after all. I'll be outside checking the perimeter, don't want any other "accidents happening now do we?",she turned her back to the two and raced out the cave. Running right past her pack, she stopped beside a stream. A tear ran down her snout, making the fur in its trail clump together. 'Why couldn't they just fawn all over each other in private?! Why did they have to rub it into her face?! She was matelesss, and always hoped to be. But how could they be so happy with another individual?!' It made Jazereth sick just thinking about it. Before any more tears could well up, she plunged her snout in to water. Hoping it would clear her mind of such thoughts. Pulling her head back, the thoughts almost disappeared, but they were still there, nagging the back of her mind. 'Now, emotions, facial expression, thoughts, are all in check. Go back to before, showing no emotions and letting no one even come close to me.'

Noctis said nothing as they were reprimanded. His eyes stayed locked on Jazereth, though he managed to quiet his growling. When the Fire alpha tore from the room, Noctis merely glared at the door. He was now in his right mind: he disliked everyone. He would always dislike everyone, even Coventina.
"Is she almost finished?" The Earth alpha spoke to the healer, his maroon eyes still locked on the door. Fighting to unclench his fists, Noctis growled and tossed navy hair from his face.

Coventina flinched as Jezereth tore out of the room, knowing full well she would apologize later. Though hearing Noctis, made the water alpha sad. She had thought he would stay caring, but it seemed only a little had been pulled from him. She flashed a brave smile at him and then growled at the healer as she poked the wound a little too deep. "If you want, you can leave Noctis... You owe me nothing... I owe you my life." she whispered softly, not wanting to be alone, but she could handle it. She had been handling it all her life. Though she admitted only to herself that she had felt more... Secure and strong with Noctis around. Feeling like a child for the other alpha to steal her first kiss, she closed her eyes and bunched her hands into fists, as the healer began to finally use the power and heal the wounds.

Demicora looked down as if solemn about the entire fact that the man wasnt going to be able to make it to a healer. "I didnt seem to come in time elder warrior. Im sorry." She held him close to her. "You.... were like a father to me. You will always be in our hearts and memories." She said smiling. As she held him, she started to break out into song so as to make his way to rest peaceful. It wasnt a song of woe, but that of memory. His memory. Of course she made it up on the spot since she didnt know actual songs, but her voice was melodious in ways that many men had fallen in love with. Made up on the spot, she spoke of how brave he had been. It wasnt something she did every time a tribe member died, but something she did whenever someone she had cared for went back to mother earth.
The winds blow as water flows
A tale to tell of no woes
His body waits for a master's return
Watching over those whose chores be done
A tale of a wolf, born not to burn
but of the earth, the strong one
A pack may came with torment
A torrent of rage pursuing
The strong one of earth protecting
The water tribe people protected
Finally away, the man has done a miraculous deed
One of honor and charm, and honesty
Hurt beyond repair, he will now reside up there
In the heavens to run with our pack family
The ones that have come to show him the way
To show him the way to peace
To show him the way to happiness
His good deed has helped the others prepare.
His good deeds have helped the others survive
Now he is at peace as the wind resides.
His son will know of his deeds, as will the tribe
He is finally resting with all of his wise
Sleep well my father
May you run in peace
I will see you when i too die an honorable death
May we see you soon, when you resurrect.
Once he had finally passed, she carried his body to the earth camp and took it to his son. She wasnt that far off from him before he seemed to be running up to her. Senri, a very strapping young male who was also a warrior had run up to her before she could even touch the edge of the camp. "I'm sorry Senri.... I'm so sorry for your loss. He died honorably, without question. He saved the life of the water tribe alpha and her people. The bravest of us all. He told me to tell you he loves you and his story.

((@Andraus: Sorry! Hmm. What should we do with these two now?))
Navi smiled again. It was becoming natural. "Let us eat. The pack will be told of the danger over dinner." The entire tribe would gather together for a communal meal as the sun set, as was customary. The alpha reached out and patted Syndarion's shoulder, not quite sure what else to do. "Eat with us. Every one of your clan is welcome here."
She headed into her pack. The Wind alpha was greeted by a guardian warrior who gave her an update on the pack, and then they began to gather for their meal.
-
((I dunno if I should let Luka fade into the background or keep playing him. . . .))
Senri stood the moment he saw someone approaching the Earth clan's encampment. Their bedrolls had been set, and it had been many hours since his father had left with Noctis. The pale blue beads in his dusty brown hair clicked together as he stepped forward. Every inch of his body showed the tension he felt: and his eyes said it all. Rarely did the young warrior ever speak, and that moment seemed to shatter every word he could have formed should he have wanted to.
As Demicora approached, Senri backed away. Trembling, his gray eyes took in the still form of his father. Demicora stepped forward once more, mentioning the story involved. Senri's gaze flashed up to the woman's face, and something went through his features. A decision was made.
He stopped backing away. Instead, he stepped forward to accept the burden from Demicora. The weight in his arms was more terrible than ever: this was his father. Meeting Demicora's gaze, Senri swallowed thickly and tightened his hold on the elder. "Thank you," he whispered, unable to speak any louder. It was time to bury the body. Senri's gray gaze slowly drifted over the bloody form in his arms before he closed his eyes, trying to keep himself in a presentable state of mind. He was strong - he knew he was. It was just rare that he dealt with such strong emotion all at once.
Unsure of how to ask, or if he even should, Senri stared at the woman before him. He should do this alone. Yet . . . Demicora and Senri had practically grown up together. Wouldn't it be appropriate for her to come along? He wasn't sure.
-
Noctis stared at the alpha before him as she was healed. Her words were full of tense anger: she was offended. Hurt. Noctis' maroon eyes were unreadable as he stood still. "I came to see what happened to your pack. Now that I have seen it, I want nothing else." Even as the words left his lips, he felt himself flinch mentally. Tactful much? His lack of tact and care had never bothered him before, but for some reason it hurt him now.
"A life-debt, then." The Earth alpha blinked slowly, acknowledging Coventina's words. "I will hold you to it." Still, he made no effort to leave. Instead, he merely leaned against the cavern's wall, watching as the other alpha was healed completely. Noctis would oversee the healing process, if nothing else.

Coventina nodded as Noctis accepted her life-debt to him. It was the least she could do when he had saved her and her tribe. Finally healed for the most part, the tired healer mixed a drink that would make the water aloha feel no pain, and become drowsy. Sitting up slightly to drink the liquid, the pale woman then thanked the healer before moving and standing slowly, her bare pale body seeming to glow in the dim light. She looked around and accepted the simple dress from the healer and watched the woman leave. Slowly raking her hands threw her hair, the female wolf ignored the fact that Noctis was in the room, and began to pull on the dress ever so slowly. "I am glad you had come... If you hadn't..." I don't know if either of us would have lived. Slowly walking to pick up the leather pouch that her people had grabbed, she smiled seeing the shell had been put on a leather strap to form a necklace. Walking over she gave it to Noctis, making his fist open and close before meeting his gaze. "A memory, for you to carry with you." she breathed and a faint smile pulled at her lips. Stepping back she slowly sunk onto a for, her eye lids getting more and more heavy. "I wish I could have met your sister... And your mate... She must have been the most beautiful female in your tribe..." she started in a soft voice. "You would have chosen the perfect female, and I'm sure she was more beautiful then the moon." she went on softly, her hand playing with a strand of bleach blonde hair. Her blue eyes sparkled with longing. "I'm sure the feeling of stability of having a mate was something priceless... But I don't think I will ever have a mate, nor unless the elders push me to Sky like they have been wanting..." she thought aloud, her body showing signs of weakness and sadness. Her father had always said that the thing he love the most was his children and mate, the second was his tribe, and the third was the water. She felt like she couldn't fully understand that until she had a family and mate of her own, which was most unlikely.

Ketaro put a hand on Gemini's shoulder,"Thank you. For your kind words." Walking towards his tent, he threw over his shoulder,"Good night. Don't stay out too long." Reaching his own tent, Ketaro entered and closed the flap entrance. Slowly, he made his way to the back of his tent and shifted. Squeezing through the little hole in the fabric, he started running, away from his pack, and thoughts.

[:headdesk: Graaa! Sorry if this post's kinda late. It's been kind of a hectic weekend so far.]
Her crimson-colored head raised and she watched, surprised, as Jazereth ran straight past them. She half-expected someone or something else to come out of that cave, but it never happened. Cheza didn't have to turn around to feel the baffled looks being passed around by the rest of the pack.
With a last glance at the pack, she ran after Jazereth. She knew no one would try to follow her or wander off.
Cheza found her by a stream, walls of dirt on each side and the alpha's back to her. There was the soft sound of paws on wet mud as Cheza leapt down to her, making no attempt to hide her presence. She approached her warily. Her ears were held back slightly and her head was low to show submission. She didn't want to accidentally find a way into Jazereth's bad temper in case something had happened. Understudy or not, Jazereth was still above her. "Alpha, what exactly happened back there? The pack is confused."
Cheza wanted to know what the danger was also, having been somewhat kept in the dark in that matter. Of course it must have been something big for the alpha to want to go directly into the water pack's territory. For now though, she kept quiet about it.

Cheza's breath caught in her throat, unsure of what to say at first. So they were too late. Whatever battle had happened in the water pack's territory was over. "What should I tell the warriors, miss? I fear they might tire if they have to walk all the way back just to have to come here again. Perhaps we should send a messenger..."
There were plenty of warriors who had been left behind to defend the rest of the group. They would be perfectly capable of protecting the pack on their journey to water tribe lands.

"Of course," Navi nodded once, her features full of contentment. Despite the attacks they'd had of late, everything seemed . . . relatively calm. She had heard that Luka would be recovering for many weeks (his leg was completely torn), and one of their elder warriors had fallen. The alpha, though, had been saved . . . and an alliance between Syndarion and Navi had formed.
"The other alphas have been warned, then?" The dark-skinned woman glanced at Syndarion for a moment before smiling. He was having a hard time keeping his eyes to himself. It wasn't as though she hadn't seen how his features seemed to glow by firelight, but Navi had long ago chosen to remain a single woman. She never considered any man for herself, but for others instead.
-
As Coventina stood, Noctis lifted an eyebrow. It was interesting to see that she ignored him until she was finished. "I'm glad I had the chance to keep death from your heels." The Earth alpha smirked slightly, and then watched as the woman moved to her bag. Noctis didn't so much as twitch as she stepped up to him, taking his hand and molding it around the shell.
He didn't look at the Water alpha, but kept his eyes on his closed fingers. "Tayla. She was . . . the most beautiful creature I'd ever seen." He sighed quietly, his features somber. "I lost her to fate. I'm not going to lose everyone else." Determination seeped back into his face, and Noctis tightened his hold on the shell. He wasn't sure what Coventina was thinking, but Noctis wasn't about to stay and find out. He couldn't - not this time. He needed to return to his pack . . . and keep his mind off of this woman.
His maroon eyes lingered on his closed fist, listening as Coventina's words filled the space between them. "I'll carry it with me. Thank you."
Just as Noctis pushed himself away from the wall, he let his hand trail over some of her hair gently. His hand pressed against her head for a moment before the Earth alpha finally stepped toward the entrance of the tunnel. "I have a feeling I'll see you soon, Coventina." He met her eyes again, looking deep into the sparkling orbs of hers. Noctis' smirk returned. "I'll find you. Stay safe."
Just as he slipped into the darkness of the tunnel, his features pulled into a dark frown. "Tayla looked a lot like you." The words weren't meant to be heard, but he'd misjudged the echo of the tunnel. He stepped past the warriors and other tribe members without a glance, focused solely on returning to his tribe. He wanted to see how Demicora and the others were doing. They'd just lost one of their most precious, loved warriors. Surely it wasn't something to envy.

Jazereth sighed,"No, let us two go back to where the pack is at this very moment. We will stay camped out by the healer's cave. Maybe then we can be of some assitence by helping the healer. Come let us leave quickly." Trotting towards her pack, she felt the Earth beneath her paws. Jazereth didn't need to be Noctis to figure out that something stirring within and it wasn't good. Knowing that the fire of hell would soon arrive, made Jazereth move faster.

Coventina had felt quite empty hearing the words of the fallen mate of the earth alpha next to her. She could only imagine how awful the death of Noctis's mate's death felt to him. Hearing that he would keep the shell with him, brought a soft smile to the water alpha's pink lips, and she looked at the ground beneath her as she did. Feeling the soft movement of her hair caused her eyes to slowly lift, until she realized it was Noctis. His warm hand was then placed on her head, filling her chest with warmth, and her eyes sparked with life once again. Hearing his words of seeing her again, brought a smirk to her own lips. Meeting his eyes as he moved away, she felt a want to run to him, embrace him tightly, and keep him with her. "I will be safe, and I will be waiting... Noctis." she said and watched as his form dissappeared into the darkness of the cave. Hearing his last words made her mind stall in shock, her body warm with hope. She didn't understand these feelings, but she liked them alot. "And you looked alot like him..." she breathed, a hand pressed over her chest, remembering her dear warrior who had pledged to be hers, and when he left, he had been killed by a rouge wolf. He was the closest she had ever come to having a mate, the closest she had come to loving a man, and it had all slipped away by fate. Slowly emerging from the caverns, her people followed her, over joyed to see her well. She ordered them to move into the caves for winter, feeling it in the sea. Smiling at Jezereth she walked forward and embraced her dear friend. "My dear, I appologise for your visit to turn out like this..." she said softly, her bloody bandages living proof that she escaped death.

Jazereth's eyes widened when Coventina hugged her. 'Coventina just touched me.... What the heck is this woman thinking?! I am not in the mood for washing things over with so called "love and kindness". It brings nothing but pain and death.',Jazereth wondered. "Coventina there is no reason for you to apologize. For I am the one that interveined in your "special moment".,she said with a laugh. Hugging back, she wondered if this is what a sister would be like. Snapping herself from the almost kind thought, Jazereth peeled herself away from Coventina's grasp and said,"I hope you forgive me for entering your territory unauthorized. It was unethical and careless, but I had to join the alphas in order to receive information. And your pack happened to be the closest." Jazereth was back into commander mode. Nothing but her duty crossed her mind and her face was like stone, showing nothing but brutality. It was the way she was raised, alone, and untrusting. It would be the way she would always spend her life.
Ketaro stood in the very clearing in the woods where he had found Gemini earlier that very day. The full moon was out and he couldn't take his eyes away from its enchanting light. The moon held many secrets, older and more fragile than time itself. The moon was a beautiful treasure that the gods had bestowed on the loyal wolves of the elements. And nothing could compare to its chilling beauty. And just the way its light seemed to pierce his soul, it sent a shiver down his spine. Ketaro would sometimes sit there for hours, just spilling his guts to the moon. He knew that it heard everything he ever said, and it gave him hope that maybe, one day, when he died, he could be up there. Beside the moon, guiding his kin. Standing up, Ketaro gave a bone chilling howl. A howl that expressed his grief, anger, and joy. It was a howl that would cause everything to stand still, to listen to the notes it played across the sky, playing in the moonlight. It was a howl that no one would forget.

Coventina sighed wrong Jezereth and shook her head. "I am most gracious for the kindness of you bringing your pack to my clan. It warms my heart to know that you will be here to help us in our time of need." the bleach blonde female said kindly and bowed her head to the fire alpha. "Winter is closing in, and I offer your pack sanctuaray inside the caverns. It will be easier for you to stay in touch with your element, being lower in the ground." she said and looked to Sky, who was at her side, adjusting his glasses as his narrowed eyes scanned over everyone and everything. His light green hair wasn't completely odd in the water pack, but being so dark skinned, it seemed very much an exotic look. "Alpha, you must rest, you have been threw far too much." he said gently, brushing her arm with his own, his eyes conveying care and love. Coventina looked to him and then gently brushed his arm back. "A few more moments, I can feel the healers draft kicking in." she murmured softly before looking to Jezereth. "I am excited to see your young ones, I'm sure they are beautiful and strong." the water alpha spoke brightly. "Please, allow me to show you into the caves." she said as if showing her very sister her new room that she was just giving to her as a surprise.

"I'm afraid my pups are not with me. They are in the care of one of my trusted colleagues.",Jazereth said, following Coventina. Seeing the male at her side startled Jazereth. 'I hadn't even known he was there! Did he sneak up?',she wondered. He was built, but he wasn't ripped, it was like he was naturally soft and caring, but able to do real damage in time of need. It was typical of the Water clan's wolves to have this characteristic. Even though it made Jazereth sick to think about how touchy feely they were, something about them drew her in. Maybe it was their exotic skin tone and hair? But if course they were unusual, for she had grow up in a forest where the only living things were her and her prey.
