Kry shrugged, the slightest of gestures when Nara asked him how long he would be staying. "I will probably stay for a while. I'm not entirely sure exactly how long that will be." He offered her a slight smile, watching her intensely, the way he always watched everything. "I have a feeling that I will be here for quite a while though." Those purple eyes blinked and shifted to Alai, remembering how the young man had darted forward and snatched his room key, proclaiming they would share the room. He had only just now thought of that, it had happened so fast earlier, and Nara's question of how long he would stay made him think of the room key. His gaze returned to Nara. "How long will you be staying?"

((photo repost for new people, as well as a repeat of describing her voice's power xD.))

Nara returned his smile on instinct, feeling it make her relax for some reason she couldn't name. She was pleased to hear that he would be staying a while and she knew she likely showed it. She blushed and began to play with her gloves in thought, inwardly she wondered if he asked out of politeness or genuinely cared. Her tail seemed to wave slightly more excitedly at the thought.

"I..I'm not sure. Usually I just stay in places until someone gets uncomfortable with my voice or something and it seems best to leave." She responded, sorrow entering her voice and intensifying its effect. As always the sound of her voice while beautiful and melodious instantly made one feel winter and cold. One would almost see snowy mountain peaks and hear the strong mountain air. Many humanoids would feel chilled by her voice and for that reason she wasn't often welcomed for long...especially in places of business.

"But I hope it to be some time" She added as she looked up at him. She forced a warm smile and looked at him. Her ears perked slightly, her gaze meeting his as she let herself calm down. Yes, she would focus on him, not those of the past. How he seemed to accepted her and even like being around her.

Sunny grinned as Alai moved closer to Noah. At this rate, she thought, They just might kiss. I'm a third wheel, I'm sure. Is it bad that I want to see this? "We do. Heck, our abilities helped us save a couple lives. We'd never have come this far had we not believed in this, in what we were doing." She said.

"We were just... When you're different, some people tend to point it out, every chance they get." A flash of bitterness came over Noah's features, but was gone in an instant. "But it's different for us now. There are things I've experienced that I'd never, ever, trade. Not for the world." Noah gently squeezed Alai's hand, his smile, brightening.

It was good to see her smile too, Kry watched Nara intently. Her voice didn't bother him in the least, he found it a little refreshing though it's effect on him was considerably less than the way it affected others. He was a little glad to hear she might be staying a while. That meant he could enjoy her company more and converse with her about things. His attention though, turned back to Alai and Noah, he could feel it. The flames of passion were beginning to burn around them, he reached over and gently brushed his fingers against the back of Nara's wrist and nodded towards Alai. "It is refreshing to see such young romance blossoming." Those purple eyes lingered for a moment longer on the two boys before he politely averted his gaze to Nara's face.

Alai was glad they believed in their abilities and what they were doing. It would help to make things easier for them, he was sure. That flash of bitterness that moved across Noah's features didn't go unnoticed, but Alai merely nodded. "Being different can be hard but it only makes you that much stronger." He continued to smile brightly at the two, his eyes mostly on Noah though and he leaned in close. "You will stay strong, won't you?" His lips were centimeters from Noah's and then Alai pulled back slightly, he continued to hold Noah's hand gently. "Face everything with a smile and an open mind, even if no one else wants to. Sometimes that helps too."

Nara blushed deeply as he touched the back of her hand and pointed out the other two. If he could feel that surely he felt the way he made her heart skip a beat when he touched her? She pushed away the thought and focused on him again, still unsure what to think of the two so publicly affectionate. She then looked up into that intense purple gaze a moment in thought, perhaps he couldn't sense it and didn't think about it? Or perhaps he willfully ignored it? she pushed away the thought and focused on getting herself that glass of tea that she'd been intending to retrieve.

"R..romance can be a beautiful thing..." She said quietly as her thoughts turned to her lost love. She had left her tribe for him, but she hadn't been strong enough to protect him. She had failed him and he had been murdered. It had been a brief but passionate love affair and sometimes she longed for that feeling again. She pushed aside the thought, however, and her gaze returned to kry's . She gave him a simple, warm smile as she tried to push the past where it belonged...in the past.

Sunny grinned, noting how close the boys were to each other. She thought about Alai's words, whether they were intended for just Noah or the both of them. "That certainly is one way to look at life. That's something I'm going to have to try."

"O-o-of course." It was little more than a whisper from the blushing mass that was Noah, his cheeks redder than his hair. His heart was beating fast enough that he could feel it pounding in his chest, and he wondered if Alai could feel it through his hand. It was getting hard for Noah to think straight the closer Alai got to him. The one thing he could think about was... "I will stay strong." He lightly pressed his lips against Alai's fingers. "That's my promise to you."

Alvin

Jessie

{{Hope this is all okay! Also, I'm going to be a little vague since I'm not entirely sure what's going on yet. :sweat:}}

Alvin stepped through the door of the Tavern and stood there, dark brown orbs hidden behind dark sunglasses scanning the establishment. His hat was pulled low to help cover his face. Jessie stepped in casually behind him.

Neither of them smiled, they only took the place in. Would they be found here? They couldn't be sure. Jessie cast a glance over her shoulder as the door closed. It didn't seem they had been followed.

Jessie and Alvin glanced at each other and Jessie sighed. This was as good a place as any to get some rest and nourishment. Neither of them would make it much further without it. Ocean blue eyes stared into Alvin's sunglasses. His eyes couldn't be seen, but Jessie knew them well enough.

Alvin grabbed Jessie's hand and tugged her towards the bar. Neither of them spoke. They were on the same level. They thought the same way and knew what the other was thinking, most of the time anyway. It came from so many years together, although it wouldn't be obvious what kind of relationship they held.

When Alvin sat at the bar he crossed his arms over the counter and kept his head low. He wore a large leather jacket that matched his hat and black jeans over black boots. Blonde hairs strayed from under the hat from the half-assed way he'd shoved his full head of long silky hair under it.

Jessie sat next to Alvin. Her long blonde hair was pulled back into a pony tail. She sat properly at the bar without slouching as Alvin had as her ocean blue eyes roamed bottles of liquor. The last thing Alvin needed now. She wore a pair of faded low-rise blue jeans and a red thick strapped tank-top that accented her red lipstick and red nail polish perfectly. She mumbled something inaudible to Alvin.

Kry studied Nara for a few moments. Watching the emotions flow behind her eyes, there were sad memories in her. Then again, there were sad memories in everyone. He smiled ever so slightly at her as she tried to push away her thoughts. He would not pry, but a person's eyes could be very telling if one knew how to look. Very telling and still able to withhold so much information. When the door opened, his purple eyed gaze shifted, briefly flickering over the two that entered before his attention returned to Nara. His fingertips found Nara's wrist, brushing across it gently and then resting there for a few moments before he let his fingers slide away. "I can feel the flames inside of you, when I touch you, no matter how briefly they seem to leap for joy. Do you feel it?" Surely she did. It seemed to be more than just the flames inside of her. It felt almost like the excitement of passion, but Kry wasn't sure. His touches were too brief for him to be able accurately tell.

Alai was glad to hear Noah promise that he would stay strong. A slight giggle escaping his lips as Noah's lips touched his fingers. He wriggled slightly in his seat and his fingers tightened slightly around Noah's, but gently. Alai didn't seem to interested in letting go anytime soon. He was rather happy and content with his new friends, and perhaps Noah would be more than a friend. When the door opened, Alai glanced up and watched the two newcomers for a few moments. They didn't seem extremely interesting, they seemed like normal people to him. Alai's attention returned to Sunny and Noah. "You should definitely try." Those blue eyes were on Sunny. "Smiling helps you remember that life won't always be that hard. Keeping an open mind makes it easier to remember that most people are just afraid of those that are different, because they don't fully understand the differences. It just makes dealing with things a little easier. Besides, if you always look cheerful you shouldn't have a problem getting people to trust you. Probably." Alai laughed softly at that last bit, as if he had just amused him. He really had though. His gaze shifted from Sunny to Noah.

Everest looked up from the bar as Aquarius and Airey chirped to alert her of new visitors. Her golden eyes went to the pair as they approached the bar before sitting down. "May I offer you both a drink, food, or shelter?" She said softly before picking up a pair of glasses and set them down in front of them. The blonde man was intriguing in the way he continued to hide his face from her. Her golden eyes drifted over to the others that resided at the inn to make sure everyone was taken care of before returning her gaze to the blonde pair.

She wasn't sure what they wanted but it was her job to make sure that all her guests were taken care of. Drinks, food, or shelter, Everest took it upon herself to make sure that every guest had what they needed. No fighting or any crimes would be permitted by her within the tavern's boundaries. "Just ask if you need anything at all."

{{Woohoo! I was about to start looking for something else. :lol:}}

Jessie turned her head away from Alvin to look at the elf who approached them. The woman seemed to bring a peaceful feeling with her that calmed Jessie's nerves a slight, unnoticeable, bit. "Thank you. A room please. Two beds preferably." Jessie never smiled, her expression still blank and unreadable to those who didn't know her.

Alvin tilted his head up a fraction of an inch. "And a whiskey on the rocks." He paused for a moment, "Forget the rocks, just filler' up." Immediately Jessie's head whipped to the side to stare at Alvin. For a brief moment, shock could be read on her soft features, but it quickly faded. "Alvin," Jessie started, trying to keep her voice from being heard by anyone other than Alvin. "I don't think you need to be drinking in your condition." Among other reasons. Alvin smirked, "And I don't think you're my mother, my wife, or my boss." A hint of amusement could be picked up in Alvin's voice, but his expression remained blank, too.

The pair constantly held the expressions as to not try and draw any excess attention to themselves. They'd lived that way for so long, that it was just a natural thing now. Although Jessie didn't show it, she was fuming on the inside. Her heart rate picked up and she exhaled to calm herself. She returned her attention to the elf. "I'll have a water." And a massage, and a long hot bubble bath...

{{Should I change the dialogue colors? Is anyone having a hard time reading my stuff with it all looking the same? I'll bold it. Does that help?}}
{{I didn't like it. I'll just make them colors instead.}}

For a moment Nara's mouth ran dry as he spoke and touched her, her blush returning. His hand had rested longer this time... and it left her unsure. Her flames... it was more then that which jumped as her heart skipped a beat. This did indeed answer if he was aware of it, however, and for a moment her blue eyes widened and she looked unsure. She nearly whispered the word 'yes' when she retrieved her voice as answer, her eyes searching his for some clue. Did he ask because he had a similar feeling or so he could refuse her before it grew?

"Yes...w..why do you ask?" she added a little louder but her voice was still quiet, still soft. Her ears lowered briefly, reminding one of a cat who expected to get hit across the nose for doing something wrong. Was he merely curious? He seemed curious about everything... perhaps that was it? Nara didn't know and that scared her.

Kry just smiled that faint, hint of a smile at Nara when she stuttered out her response. Why had he asked? He didn't have a real answer for her, the honest truth was, the question had just come to him so he had asked it without any other reason or a way to follow up. He seemed to do things like that a lot, the red haired Eladrin gave a slight shrug. In truth, he liked the way he could feel her flames leaping at the slightest touch. His touch had never brought on that kind of reaction in anyone before, and it wasn't just her flames, it was something else to. Perhaps the flames of passion. Again his touch had never brought that out in anyone either, it was a little thrilling and a little frightening for him.

"I was just being curious." It was half the truth, he supposed. He had been curious, still that seemed a lame excuse, a terrible reason. Purple eyes were bright though as he watched her, studied her face. His eyes sharp enough to pick up the slightest, miniscule change in her expression. Would she let it go, satisfied with his terrible, half true excuse? That tongue flicked out to lightly run across his lips for a moment. "I apologize if my question was rude, I often don't realize it when I've said something or asked something that is rude or offensive to someone." His apology was sincere, even though he knew that he most likely hadn't offended her or said anything rude.

Curious... of course, he had just been curious. Her ears fell slightly further, nearly flat against her head as if part of her was disappointed. Still she simply nodded and started to say something when he licked his lips. It was clearly just a nervous gesture, even she knew that, but considering how closely he was studying her it still brought to mind some...suggestive images of the past. Her lover had often done such a gesture... but it wasn't just a nervous gesture it was because he had been thinking of tasting some part of her. As he continued, however, she looked away and tried to get her flames and her heart to both slow down so she could push away the memories and focus on his words.

"Oh...no... it's nothing. I .. I was simply startled by the question. You were not being rude or anything. I am simply not use to someone being so...aware of my flames or me. We should probably sit down again, we don't need to block the tea service. I have my tea now." She said quietly as if to change the subject. She held up her tea a moment as if to indicate it and took a step towards an empty table. She waited to see if he would follow, uncertain what to think.

She hadn't liked his answer at all, in fact she seemed downright disappointed by it. That was interesting. Kry pushed the thought away though, he really couldn't blame her for being disappointed, it was a very lame reason. Even his god thought so, the deity whispered gently in his ear. Chiding and scolding but always gentle. As usual, if the phoenix god wasn't saying anything important, Kry easily ignored it. He was still watching her closely as she reassured him and then stated they should sit. She was right, they were somewhat in the way if not entirely in the way. That ghost of a smile was still present on his lips as he started to follow her when she moved towards an empty table. "Of course. We should not be so rude and block the tea service." He agreed with her gently, nodding ever so slightly, purple eyes glancing towards the two blonde newcomers and then to Alai. It had gotten rather quiet in Alai's little corner of the establishment. He found that a little odd, almost unsettling. Still even hyperactive creatures did need moments of silence occasionally.

"I... If you would like to sit with someone else... I would understand." She said quietly as she noticed how he looked around. She sat slowly and placed her tea on the table in front of her. She looked uncertain as she spoke, as if she really didn't want him to leave. She lifted her gaze to look at him for the first time since he'd answered her question earlier. She wanted him to stay for some reason she couldn't name, wanted to play with his hair and hear him talk sweetly... It was frightening in a way but Nara had always been a woman ruled by her heart. It was one of the things that got her in so much trouble and long marked her as someone who would never fit among the icy faelira from the very beginning...

"There is no one else I would rather sit with." He spoke the words gently, the way he always did. His eyes on her, there was something in the way she had said that, as if she thought he really did want to leave her company. Kry had no intention of leaving her presence at the moment or in the near future. The tall man slipped easily into the seat across from Nara so that they faced one another. Purple eyes were on her, looking at only her for now. Not jumping this way and that to look around or observe the others. Nara was the object of his attention right now. She had said those things, but he could see it, see that she hadn't wanted him to leave her just yet. She enjoyed his company and he was almost certain she liked the way it made her feel whenever he touched her the slightest bit.

"My gaze often travels around, I'm an observer and paranoid that someone is out to get me. I look around, I study others but please don't take that to mean that I would rather be with those others I look at. I'm merely observing, and learning from my observations. I am a creature of caution, most times. Still sometimes there are things even my sharp senses can miss." He felt an explanation was needed, she had seemed so uncertain and he did not want her to think that he longed for the company of others. No, he was quite content and satisfied with her company, he was very certain she was content with his company as well.

No one else he'd rather sit with... she couldn't help the almost bashful smile that came across her features or the joy that lifted in her at the simple phrase. She felt warm all over from such simple words though again she couldn't say why. Still she focused on his explanation and nodded as if to show her understanding. She could understand paranoia... There were times she would have been much better off if she had been a little more paranoid. She felt a little better to know he enjoyed her company and her ears lifted, her tail curling slightly out of happiness.

"Learning? What have you learned so far?" She asked curiously. She tilted her head to the side and watched him a moment. She did of course want to know what he learned about her... but also the others. She realized she hadn't really been looking or thinking about anyone else since Kry started talking to her. She pushed away the thought quickly, not wanting to blush yet again... If he really was an observer as much as he said he might just figure out just how much he got to her and that ...that was just embarrassing.

That smile, it spoke volumes. Kry's eyes were on Nara's face as he watched the emotions flit across it and through her eyes. He licked his lips just to moisten them before he spoke again. "Those two..." He tilted his head towards the two blondes sitting at the bar. "Probably running or hiding from something, have been for years I'm sure. Their expressions, the way they hold their bodies, they don't want to draw attention to themselves at all. They could be dangerous, but I don't think they would do anything unless provoked." It was hard to say how Kry could read their expressions, especially with the way the blonde male hid his eyes behind those sunglasses. But then, there was more to expressions than just making them with your eyes and face.

Kry's eyes hadn't left Nara's face, he had only indicated the people he meant with a slight tilt of his head in their direction. Now he tilted his head towards Alai and the white haired healer's new friends. "Those two children are traveling, they aren't running or hiding. Just traveling. Perhaps to see the world, or perhaps to help people. It's in their expressions, I think most likely they travel around with the intention of helping. They have gentle eyes, and are endowed with gifts from the gods." Now Kry hesitated, as if deciding he had told her enough about what he had learned of that little group involving Alai. His gaze drifted from her to Alai, and his voice lowered just the slightest bit. "The healer is tense, he's hiding a pain deep inside of him, but he's very good at hiding it. I can see it though, I can see the tenseness of his muscles, even when he's relaxed. I can see through the joy in his eyes to the truth. Eyes are windows into the soul, if one knows how to look. He's been hurt deeply in the past, but he pushes forward, wants everyone around him to be happy." For a moment, he bit his bottom lip and cleared his throat slightly.

That was enough of that, his purple eyed gaze drifted back to Nara. "You enjoy my company more than you'd be willing to tell me. I bring to life feelings in you that you haven't felt for a long time, and you worry that I'm rather disinterested in you. You don't quite understand why I bring out those feelings in you, perhaps it's my gentle way of speaking, or the delicate way I touch you. Maybe it's because I showed so much interest in you." A ghost of a smile touched his lips. "It's probably all of those things. Also, there is pain in your heart, loss, maybe regret for losing someone." Kry shrugged and leaned back in his chair. He didn't want to say too much. Sometimes telling someone all the things he observed from them could offend them or just plain piss them off. People didn't like when one could see through all their masks and facades. That was why people hid things, wasn't it? So no one could know the truth.

As he spoke of the others she would look at each one in turn. She was normally a very empathetic creature but what he said far surpassed what she had sensed. With Alai it did not surprise her, however, as he was so opposite of everything she knew he was bound to startle her to much for her to read him. She could not help but be curious about his pain and perhaps may have wondered more had Kry not distracted her.

"Y..yes... I have lost someone very dear to me. I...I'm not making you uncomfortable am I?" She finally answered after a moment of thought. She bit her lip as she looked at him. He knew she was worried but he had not said she didn't need to be did he? Part of her was terrified he noticed he'd awakened long dead interests but she was more terrified of the fact maybe making him uncomfortable. She didn't want him to feel disgusted by her or any such thing. She wrapped her hands around her cup of tea as if to warm them as she watched him from under her dark lashes.
