Morana glanced at the demon that had now neared close enough for her to see him, if only because of his light clothing and bright white hair. She raised an eyebrow at his expression, suppressing the urge to laugh ... well laugh as best a cat can. He seemed to want to frown but was fighting it with all his might. She couldn't help but find it amusing, though she didn't approach him. Her blood donors were... limited at the moment and may remain so. Humans, elves, demons, and similar humanoids were the only things that really filled her. She wouldn't kill one just to satisfy the bracelets desire for demons destruction.... and their powers.

She was slightly curious about him, then again she was curious about everyone really. If mainly curious which wouldn't mind being bitten. She was starting to debate if she should turn human form, well vampire form but close enough. She shook her head a moment and wandered closer to the demon. She was curious how he would react. Some demons recognized the bracelet (even in collar form) and reacted rather violently. It was easier to find out sooner then later...

Lulucian's attention was drawn by the movement, drawn towards the cat that now approached him. His lips twitched again but he neither frowned nor smiled, he was incapable of smiling, but frowning came to easily. It was a habit to force away his frown, his master hated to see a frown on Lulucian's face. He had learned the painful way that it was not alright to frown, especially in Vathrax's presence. Such thoughts were forced away as he watched the cat.

A cat that was not a cat. Still, Lulucian was fond of cats and cats that were not cats. He had said as much to a shape shifter once, and it had been truth. Even if almost everything else he had told the boy had been a lie or only half truth. There was too much sadness in such memories though and Lulucian forced them away, most of his attention on the cat. As she approached Lulu he grew a little wary of her, a strange power radiated from her, or perhaps from the object about her neck. His own body radiated power but very subtly, it radiated power, but Lulucian was not quite as powerful as he would have others believe.

If he and the cat had been alone, Lulu would not hesitate in crouching and reaching out towards her. But there were others here, and he needed to watch them. He could not put himself in a vulnerable position, someone might attack if they thought his guard lowered.

Morana wondered at that twitch of lips, something about it seemed different. Still, she felt a moment of mischief and sat directly in front of him a moment. She tilted her head, her front paws nearly on his foot. She did not think he recognized the bracelet. Good... that made things easier. She didn't need a demon fight that served her nothing. She didn't particularly enjoy fighting, despite her skill at it. Life had forced her into the role of warrior but ultimately she was very practical. She fought only when there was a good reason to fight.

Now fighting served her little purpose, no matter what the bracelet wanted. It could flicker and shock and generally be an ass all it wanted. She was stronger then the spirit filled stone. If she hadn't been she would have been eaten into insanity by the demon souls as many prior wielder of the stones had in the past. It was funny... The stone needed someone strong but it wanted to be able to dominate them too. Not that it had ever managed to dominate her.

Hello! Hope you don't mind one more. ^_^

Name: Tabitha
Race: Feline/witch hybrid
Appearance:

Tabitha has black feline ears perched on her head and a long tail. She wears all black, including a black, leather tank top/corset with silver buckles in the front, black leather pants, those same silver buckles along the sides, and boots. Her preferred weapon of choice is a bow and arrows, but she also carries various blades. Her bottom half is feline, and everything from the waist up is human, save for her ears, gold feline eyes, a slightly catlike nose, and when she smiles you can see tiny fangs. Her body type is lithe and graceful, with slender curves and modest breasts, which she is thankful for as larger ones tend to get in the way of things.
Age: 22
Brief bio: Tabby is a Priestess in training. Her mother is months away from stepping down and is eager for her daughter to take her place. Her people are a rare breed of witch and feline, and pure blood witches seek to destroy them, as Tabby's people are chosen by their Goddess. Since her mother is no longer strong enough to fight them, Tabby's training has been sped up, and she is set to be the youngest Priestess her clan has ever seen, and she is determined not to let them down. Until she was brought to the forest.

Tabby sat back on her heels, ears and tail twitching in confusion. Ten seconds ago, that boulder had been an Casting orb, and she had been in the Temple practicing for her initiation. Mentally, she double checked her spell. She had done everything right, so why the hell was she sitting in the middle of a forest, senselessly waving her hands at a rock? Her eyes narrowed at a sudden thought. Could the other girls be playing a simple mind trick on her? She closed her eyes and willed the room she had been sitting in back to memory, but came up with... nothing? She had been in that room a thousand times. She knew the entire temple's layout like that back of her hand. Tabby knew what the room looked like, but calling it to memory seemed to chased it back into the shadows, like trying to remember a dream after waking.

The sound of voices snapped her back to reality. They were straight ahead, about a thirty yards, in a clearing. Her tail twitched nervously, and she wondered if they were heading in her direction. After a moment, she realized they weren't even moving at all. She stood up and surveyed her surroundings. Trees and boulders, covered in moss, and that was it. There was nothing else. No mountains up in the distance, no metallic scent of a city near by. Just trees, and soft emerald moss. And too fresh air that gave the appearance of nothing but other trees nearby for thousands of miles. Instinctively, she knew there was no way back, so she decided to move forward, figure out what she can. Something about this place oozed a sinister underneath, as if the forest wanted to hurt all who it brought there. She suppressed a shudder at the thought. Stuff like that will drive you mad in a place like this.

Tabby decided to approach the people, see if they knew anything about this blasted place. She set about walking until she drew near. Standing in the shadow of a tree, she examine each person standing there. A green, impish, tree sprite looking creature crouched at the center, timid yet curious. A massive, bewildered centaur stamped next to the tree sprite, blinking at the people standing near him. He seemed unsure of himself, whether he should gallop away, stay and satiate his confusion, or shoot everyone of them with the impressive looking bow... mounted to his arm? A demon stood by, with a shape changing cat near him. At the sight of the little feline, Tabby almost ran to her. But the cat wasn't actually a cat. Just what she had changed herself into. A jolly human stood among them, chatting away to nobody in particular, seemingly just as confused as the rest of them. Tabby noticed a girl with wings, hovering nearby, unsure of whether to reveal herself or not. A flicker of silver up in the trees caught her eye. A girl was crouched out of sight up in a branch, examining the curious scene below her. Deciding to just go for it, Tabby stepped into the clearing, and cleared her throat.

"Excuse me." She caught gazes with the centaur. "Does anybody know what this place is? Are any of you responsible for bringing me here? Please, if you could just point me in the direction of the exit, I would be much obliged and will be on my way." Instinct told her it was futile, but at the same time, she didn't want to appear hostile either, as most of these people were armed. It was best she gleaned whatever information she could and make her exit.

Name: Sage Nightfall
Age: 22
Race: Wolf
Bio/history: Miyuki grew up with a pack. A wild, happy pack. The pack was strong and protected each other no matter the situation. The Alpha (her father) of the pack believed in peace and love, however. He accepted lost wolves to join the pack and gave them the family they needed. The wolves only enemy was man. Though Miyuki's pack was large and powerful, man possessed great weapons that could easily destroy a wolf and man hunted them for what they were. They couldn't handle the nature of the wolves, despised how they had the ability to transform into a human. With this transformation the wolves could hide easily from the humans that hunted them and no man was could ever successfully hunt the wolves. But after a new member of the pack was introduced, all things went downhill. Somehow humans were able to hunt down and destroy the pack members. Able to locate their hunting grounds and wipe out their food sources and cause the wolf pack to journey out of their usual hiding places into their traps, where they were slaughtered. And the one to betray them was the newest member, the one in which Sage fell in love with. Her entire pack was now gone. They either ran or was killed. Sage went to face the betrayer, her love, and ended up with a scar along her side and stomach and the pain of loss, failure, and shame.
Now here she is, away from it all. Hiding from the one person that destroyed everything she ever had.

Due to her history, Sage is now timid, paranoid, and quiet. She keeps to herself. Hunts alone, and tries to avoid company.

Appearance: Sage is slender and has the grace of a wolf in human form. She stands to about 5'5 with long white hair that trails down the majority of her body. Her eyes are a blue color that can easily be compared to an ocean reef. Her clothing resembles moonlight and seem to glow when she is under the moon..

Wolf form: In wolf form, Sage is almost entirely white. Her fur is dense and soft, and usually clean. She has a black streak down her left eye which seems out of place compared to the rest of her fur. If you look closely at her right side, there is a small line where the fur does not grow and a scar is visible.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A lone white wolf wanders up to a lake silently. Her ears are perched high upon her head as she listens for any sound that could possibly be food, or danger. She had suddenly wandered upon this beautiful forest and almost feels as if something had been pulling her here. Crouching down, she laps up the water from the lake enjoying how refreshing and cool it felt going down. She watched as the ripples danced across the surface of the lake, completely aware of her surroundings. She would allow herself to transform into her human form to bathe in the lake if she was completely certain that no one was around. But this forest felt strange and new to her and she wouldn't dare take that chance just yet.
A twig snapping made her instantly aware that there was something lurking behind her. Lowering her ears to her head, Sage turned and lowered her body to the ground, in a crouching position. She sniffed the air and the familiar scent of a rabbit filled her nose. Licking her lips, she silently crept forward until it came into view. The rabbit was decent size, brown, and suddenly twitchy. He knew there was a predator on the prowl a moment too late. Sage pounced on the rabbit with ease, ending its life instantly. Ah, a meal. I have been aching for one for a few moons now. Thank you for your sacrifice, rabbit. Sage never took her food for granted for she never knew when she would be able to snag her next meal.
She began to devour the creature, her muzzle turning crimson which was very noticeable with her white fur. After finished the rabbit, she walked back over to the lake and decided to lie down next to it and relax as her food settled. Though relaxed, she was still completely aware of her surroundings and kept a close eye out for any danger.

(( Velvet: ))

Raisa had hardly been crouching for a minute when another creature had joined them. She knew this one had spotted her and so she decided to climb back up her tree and leave the area. She did not want to join in on their discussions of who was there and why, or could they get out. She knew she was trapped and that eventually she would need to converse with them, but at the moment she needed water.

Raisa jumped from tree to tree, sometimes grabbing a branch with her hands to steady herself, but generally she was able to land and run and jump again. She slowed as she got near the water, descending from the mighty oak that she was in. Raisa noticed a wolf with a crimson muzzle relaxed on the shore but she also noticed the wolfs ears swivel towards the sound of her feet in the trees.

It shall always amaze me how other creatures can hear me so well, except for game. I should remember to thank the maker for it, as I rarely suffer for want of a meal. Raisa jumped down from the lowest tree branch and walked towards the water. She hoped that she was safe considering the fact that she was on the opposite side of the lake. "Peace creature! I mean you no harm, I simply come for water." She hoped she made the right choice fully alerting the wolf to her presence.

(AvaBeth93:)

A small growl escaped Sage's throat as she was spoken to. She stood, completely aware of the almost human looking creature that stood on the other side of the lake. Her first instinct was to run, but she felt as if this girl meant her no harm. She figured wouldn't threaten the other girl and looked at her curiously, tilting her head. Sage felt as if it would often be easier for her if others thought she was a normal wolf. One that was unable to change into a human like appearance.
Sage simply nodded her head in approval and laid back down. She rested her chin on her front paws and watched the elven girl, just to be on the safe side. She enjoyed a breeze that ruffled her fur and caused the leaves to dance around her for a moment. Fireflies were gracefully swooping down towards the water, sipping at it and taunting the fish that would occasionally jump trying to land itself a dinner.
Taking in a deep breath, Sage felt at ease for the first time in months, nearly forgetting about the sense of being trapped there. But this place didn't seem so bad, yet it interfered with her eventual plan of destroying those who destroyed her.
Her crystal blue eyes continued to watch the elven girl, curious as to why she was here in this forest. Wondering if she too was pulled here somehow.

(( Velvet: sorry I forgot to ping))

Raisa bowed her head in respect to the young wolf. She walked slowly toward the water and sat down on the beach. "My friend I am going to put my hand behind my back only for a moment to get my water bag." She wished to reassure the wolf that she meant no harm. Once she was certain the wolf heard her, Raisa left one hand in front of her raised and the other went behind her to grab the water bag. Once she had it she pulled it around and showed the wolf.

I feel a kindred spirit in this one. It seems as though she is more then a mere wolf. "My name is Raisa. I have plenty of food to share with a friend if you care to show your true form. It is only smoked venison, and I have more in the tree I am currently residing in." She smiled meekly hoping that the offer of venison would be enticing enough even though the young wolf had just ate.

(AvaBeth93:)

Sage growled. It wasn't a threatening growl, just a response to Raisa putting her hand behind her back. The wolf watched her retrieve her water bag and was at ease when she realized the was still safe.

She barked when she was asked to change into her human form, she was trying to keep that part of her a secret, but She knew the elf must have been able to sense it. After all, Sage knew she gave off different energy levels than a typical wolf. Climbing to her feet, she stared at Raisa. She shook her body, loosening it up. She trotted into the shallow water, enjoying the feeling of it embracing her paws. There was suddenly a bright and magnificent bluish light that flashed for a mere moment before fading and revealing a girl standing where a wolf was previously.

"My name is Sage. I see you could tell what I was. Impressive." Sage was not a chatter and hadn't spoken in a while. Her voice was soft and weary, but had a sharp edge to it. She didn't sound mean though, just cautious. Her hair was dancing gently as it fell across her back. Her eyes were the same crystal blue as they had been in wolf form and she stood, proud, yet her eyes almost hinted as if she was broken.

Tabby was shocked to see the young fairy respond, but she at least had her answer. "Father Forest?" Tabby repeated, confused. I know of no Father forest. Is he a deity of some sort, or a race I am unfamiliar with? And how can there be no exit? If there is a way in, there must be a way out, it is just hidden from us. I'm sure it can be found." She stepped over to the small girl and stuck out her hand. Tabby is by no means tall, just a modest 5'6", yet this fairy was even smaller. "Pleasure to make your acquaintance, Hikari. I am Tabitha, but you can call me Tabby." The small girl seemed timid, as if she were afraid of one of them attacking her. Tabby felt an instant need to protect her. She reminded Tabby of her little sister, Tigra. A minature thing, but so full of life and zest, yet fearful of everything around her. A pang of homesickness registered in Tabby's chest, she swallowed the lump in her throat and willed the sting in her eyes to subside. She would be home soon enough, and this would all have been a bad dream.

(( Velvet: Sorry for the late response, I fell asleep last night before I could respond ))

Raisa smiled softly, happy with herself that she had been right about the wolf being a girl. "Sage is a very elegant name. Nice to meet you." She opened the pouch on her waist and pulled out a leaf that was folded up, when she pulled back the corners of the leaf in her hand sat four large smoked pieces of venison. "Help yourself. I was fortunate enough to take down a deer just yesterday and I have plenty of meat left high up in the tree that has become my home this past week." Raisa pursed her lips in thought, "How long have you been confined within this forest?"

I wonder if we are all new to this forest. That group back in the clearing seemed to be dressed to fancy for being forest people. Even my clothes are to much, but I can't part with them yet. Raisa sighed, glad that she had a few sewing needles in her purse tucked in candle wax. They would come in handy for making more clothes when winter approached. The leaves were all still green in the trees above so that wasn't for quite some time, but it would require finding the herd of deer and taking a few down so they had blankets as well as clothes. She wondered what kinds of things the creatures would trade her for warmth in the coming moons.

((I'm confused--is Tabby in the clearing with the others or at a lake somewhere?))

Long since through with laughing, realizing that most people didn't deal with life that way, Maecrux allowed himself to feel a bit stupid. For all the pride he took in knowing and understanding humans and beings in general like very few others, he couldn't relate to doing anything but laughing at a situation like the one he was in.

However, laughter was the last thing on his mind when a human, no, a demon, a thing, walked to where he was. Centaurs he called it because of a bad habit he probably inherited from his parents, in fact his opinion of centaurs was quite high and he had respect for them. For demons he took an exception to his thoughs on everything else, and despised them. He was grateful to Dyvren for identiying the creature, and grateful to the blackness that now filled his heart, warning him, keeping him on his toes.

I it is your desire, we may change places if the demon is seen threatening, said Dyvren.

What would that look like?

You would be reduced to a part of my consciousness. Observers would see a long neck extend from your head, wings from your back, and so on made of pure energy, made material by the ambient magic. Your body would be limp inside it, safe.

And you'd turn me back after we're through

Probably.

Only if there is danger that cannot be dealt with in a normal state of mind. On second thought... I... may be wrong about demons. I have never met one, and many great peoples have been... misrepresented by common knowledge. It almost hurt to think this, but afterwards he felt like something in him had shifted into alignment, and he felt better.

Maecrux turned his attention to the faery and the cat-person who just came by, and the green elf who was there the whole time. He wondered if there were any more to come. He still didn't know the demon, and while fighting the urge to protect the cat, who was adorable, he thought that was how he should feel about everyone he met here.

Then he felt terrible. "Avalosc, Fatriun, and Resda, oh Gods of Water!" he whispered to himself, hoping to feel Their purity wash over him, and prepare him for what might come.

"Ah! Hello there, we have new friends!" Maecrux gave a little bow.

((I know this isn't much to work with, but I couldn't think of anything else. I'll check again this evening.))

((Tabby is in the clearing ^^))

Tabby's ears swiveled towards the direction of the new voice. Turning, she came face to face with the jolly human she saw chatting earlier. "I have a feeling we'll be here for a while, so we may as well make our acquaintance. I'm Tabitha. And who might you be sir?"

She took a moment to assess him. Something about this man wasn't quite human, she could sense it. The problem, was she couldn't put her finger on it. He wasn't demonic, like the one standing at the outer edges of the clearing, where demonic energy rolled off of him in waves. He looked human, but the way he stood, the intelligent way his eyes flicked from person to person, the way he moved screamed nonhuman. Tabby sniffed the air, looking for a clue. Nothing, but there was something. He didn't smell human. Exasperated, Tabby summoned some energy, sending tendrils of it towards the man. Just as they reached him, she recoiled them. Now she new why there was something so off about him. She was registering two consciousnesses, as if there was two minds in him. Her automatic instinct was to dismiss it as impossible, but then again, she was a feline hybrid. She was standing near a centaur, an elf, a shape-shifting cat, a demon and a fairy. All of them had been kidnapped and brought to a mysterious forest with no apparent way out. This, most certainly was not impossible. Not by a long shot.

Oblivious to the silent energy and conversations going on,Hikari put her hand out to the cat girl."Nice to meet you,Tabby. To explain,Father Forest is not a diety, but rather the forest itself. My kind believe that the forest is an entity of itself,it has one conciousness and it is all knowing. We believe that our kind was born from the forest, and therefore he is our father.I think there is currently no way out, because this forest contains ancient magic and has concealed all of his exits with it.Father Forest is lonely, because the animals here cannot talk as we can." She explained in her usual quiet voice.

Tabitha knows, Dyvren growled in Maecrux's mind.

What does she know?

That we are two life forms in one body. Maybe more. I think you will agree we should never underestimate a potential adversary. Let us assume that she knows our names, and maybe a little about our lives, as that is the absolute most she knows.

Then, Maecrux put on his best smile, which could fool any ordinary human and even many magic wielders. His secret was to wrench his emotions, so he felt what he tried to convey. He often thought it an atrocity against himself, even against Nature, but it did serve him. He then said, "Tabitha, what a beautiful name. Mine is Maecrux Angelsbane,if that sounds familiar, it is because I am somewhat famous outside the forest. Call me whatever you will. Now," and he looked around at everyone, even glancing at the demon, "I do suppose we should do something. Find a place to sleep, food, water, and maybe any other friendly folks we could recruit. But we can get to know each other in the meantime, of course. How are you, Tabitha, how long have you been here? And I apolagize in advance if I get too chatty, feel free to interrupt me, I'd rather be interrupted than be tedious company." By the end, his smile was an honest, real, and pure one. Chatting, especially to strangers, very good friends, and lovers got him that way, and he feared it would show on his face, though he knew it couldn't. It never did.

People were talking, introducing themselves. Chatting. Lulucian's gunmetal colored eyes would drift and turn to each person as they spoke. Watching them in a cool, calculating manner. From their tone of voice, the words they chose and their facial expressions he made an impression. An assessment of each one. He did not trust any of them, but that did not mean he would not associate with them. Still now he felt at enough ease to crouch down in front of the cat and reach out towards her. Lulu did not think any of these people would suddenly attack him, since they had not done so immediately.

Still they could just be waiting for him to lower his guard, or wait for him to get in a vulnerable position. This position, him crouched in front of the cat with his hand extended towards her was certainly a vulnerable one, but his guard was not lowered. His eyes flicked between the others, watching for any sign of hostility. Perhaps he should have introduced himself, but no one had really spoken to him directly or asked his name and he was not like to volunteer information of himself without a reason or being asked.

"I can understand that logic." Tabby said to Hikari. "In my clan, we believe in a Goddess who is Mother Nature and the one who created us. We respect the earth because it is our Goddess in her tangible form, and any disrespect or mistreatment of it is a sin. If Father Forest is lonely, then we will give him company, as it is only fair to be grateful for him allowing us into his home."Tabby gave the girl a warm smile before turning to Maecrux. The forest felt more sinister than that, but if it is a lonely entity, an well mannered person would offer their company, trapped or otherwise. Goodness. Tabby thought. I'm already starting to sound like my mother and I am not even a priestess yet.

"Your flattery is working, Mister Angelsbane, thank you. Although, sadly, I have not heard of you." Tabby said with a rueful smile. "Although, most of my time is spent in my Temple, so there is probably a lot I do not know about the world. And I have only been here less than an our. One minute, I am in the Temple practicing my silent meditating, and the next I'm here. It was the sound of your voices that led me to the clearing. If I had not heard them, I most likely would have wandered off a cliff or into a bear den."

Tabby stretched and sat on a boulder, adjusting herself so she could comfortably maintain eye contact with everyone in the clearing. She doubted anyone would attack, but as the old adage says, it is better to be safe than it is to be sorry. Besides, it's less of a hassle this way, instead of twisting and contorting herself. Tabby kept one hand resting on her thigh, near a throwing knife stored in one of her various hidden sheaths. For now, she would keep her magic wielding abilities to herself, until she was sure this wasn't going to break out into a bloody battle. If they decided to stay together, she would use her magic to their advantage. She had gotten quite good at summoning fire without an outside source, and she could divine the best locations for water and organic foods, as well as use natural and magical properties for healing. Since her last birthday, her stamina had increased significantly. She can now perform magic at will for an extended period of time before her energy starts to drain.

The cat had been watching them speak without any real reaction. She knew it was probably wiser to take human form soon, or they'd feel she was 'tricking' them. She shook her head slightly when she realized the demon had reached towards her. She couldn't help but feel a bit of mischief. She nuzzled his hand and purred as she twisted around it to get petted the way any cat would. Once she was petted she stepped back from him and assumed her human form before leaning back on the tree behind her.

"Since everyone's introducing themselves.... My name is Morana. I am a vampire so you may have to bare with me....." She stated simply. She gave the demon a simple smile then before she gazed at the others. She knew some of them likely sensed she was a shapeshifter, but not necessarily a vampire. She watched each to see their reactions, looking for those who seemed to not care and those who seemed to be a little excited. She really did need to eat soon...

Hikari's wings fluttered in surprise as the cat turned into a woman and announced herself as a vampire.Of course she had known the cat wasn't really a cat,but she had never suspected it was a vampire.A small frown painted her delicate features."Are you really...a vampire? I should like to ask a question.See,my mother once told me that vampires have trouble resisting Fae blood, but she had never met a vampire, and I was wondering if this was truth or rumor." She asked, trying to raise her voice so that she would sound more confident.
((I read that in a book one time and I thought it was ironic...it's your call ^-^ ))

Tabby had been waiting for the cat to assume her human shape. A vampire, intriguing. She had to give Morana credit, she couldn't sense the usually obvious vampiric nature one would have. She was an exceptional shape shifter.

Tabby sent a nod in the woman's direction. "Pleasure to make your acquaintance, Morana. If you don't mind me probing, how long have you been a vampire?" Tabby had always been curious about the world and after learning that there were races of immortals out in the world, Tabby was eager to meet one. She had always wondered what it was like to watch the times change like seasons.

After taking a second glance at the woman, she noticed the way her eyes gleamed when she looked at everyone. Tabby figured she must be hungry and felt a pang of sympathy. It must be torture, listening to all of those beating hearts, and not able to tap into a single one. One thing she did learn, was that if a vampire became hungry enough, they were hell to calm down.

Sighing, she pushed up from the boulder and crossed the clearing, coming to a stop in front of Morana. Tabby held her wrist out. She was doing this woman a kindness, plus ensuring they wouldn't have a bloodbath on their hands. As soon as the woman tasted her blood, she would know Tabby was a witch. Better to get this over with now... She thought anxiously. She looked Morana in the eyes. "Ever had feline witch blood?" She asked dryly. "I hear we're quite tasty when paired with a good red wine." She figured she was the best candidate, as she can heal quickly. She wasn't sure how well the others would fare. The demon and centaur, maybe. But something told her they wouldn't take kindly to becoming a snack.

"Quite all right, Tabiths," Maecrux was starting to say pleasantly, when the cat transformed into a vampire. He wasn't quite sure what could possibly happen, after today, yet alone how to organize at the level they would need to survive. This sort of situation was new, and Maecrux was... concerned.
What can I do?
What do you mean?
What magic do I have access to?
Anything from making a teacup float to talking to the forest.
Talking? I had an odd feeling that dragon magic would involve hurting people very badly without touching them.
You can do that, but once you become able to, you'll be very reluctant.

OK, so how do I start?
Start by feeling, as you do, a force going from the Earth, to the plants, trees, animals, and you. Imagine that you, by the anomale that is your mind, affecting this stream.

And he did. After a while, the earth began to rumble and a strange sensation of bliss came over Maecrux so that he giggled and said "You felt that, didn't you?"

((should we still be prolog-ing, or should we start moving things along?))

"Some do... It is easy to get addicted to various types of magical blood for the young or weak willed.... She answered the fae woman with little emotion. Still, despite her passive, emotionless expression there was a slight tone of disapproval. It appeared she had close contact with someone addicted to the magic in others blood, such as fae, dragons, elves, and she hadn't much respect for the person or others like the person. Any such thoughts had little time to even flicker past, however, as the other woman approach. She merely shrugged at the question of age. She had stopped counting centuries ago and cared little. She knew she was older then most, but hardly the first vampire to ever be nor was the one who turned her. He claimed to have been turned by the first but she wasn't so sure she trusted that.

"No, though a human witch or two has felt my lips." Morana said with a hint of mischief in her voice. She actually seemed a little more interested now that she'd been offered blood. Random questions about her race or her history seemed to displease her for some reason. She would take the other woman's wrist gently, her other hand snaking around the other woman's waist to tug her close to her almost like one would a lover. As she took her close she cast a small spell of protection on herself, in case she intended to try a binding or double cross. She pressed her lips delicately at first, then her teeth.

Strangely the bite would cause no pain, her saliva holding a numbing agent. After that her vampiric powers would kick in and a strange, warm feeling would fill Tabby. She would know instantly why so many connected vampires with sex and some could become addicted to a vampires bite. It was an intimate, almost sexual, feeling of pure pleasure radiating from the bite. The feeling one had when someone they desired touched them delicately, lovingly. When Morana drank her fill and released her, the withdraw of her powers would likely leave Tabby with a feeling of chill. The vampire licked the spot once, focusing her energy to amplify the numbing, almost healing power of her saliva so the wounds would close. She let go of the other woman's wrist with a smile and then gave a deep bow.

"thank you sweet one" She purred as she stood. She was literately given life with each drop of blood so even she was polite and fairly gracious. She had not expected such a volunteer and as she leaned back against her tree she watched the other woman curiously. She wasn't quite sure why the other woman had just instantly rose to the occasion. She didn't seem like someone addicted to it or even who had necessarily been bitten before. Oh well... She pushed away the thought for a moment, watching to make sure the other woman didn't fall. Some found the feelings invoked by her bite rather dizzying.... It could be absolutely orgasmic when she really let the full power through instead of restraining it to simply enough pleasure to ensure no pain was felt and the mind was distracted so that self preservation instinct didn't kick in to cause trouble. Half the time it hurt the one who was bitten more then it hurt her...

Hikari watched the exchange of blood curiously, head tilted and mouth slitghtly open. She looked quite like a young child who was expreiencing the sunset for the first time. While this was happening, however, the Fae girl felt a shift in the magic of the forest.Turning, she quickly spotted the source of the disturbance-the man who was not fully man.She felt the earth rumble, and took a step closer to him. Then he laughed, and she took two more steps, wings vibrating slightly. She was directly in front of the man now."I felt that. Not the earth shaking, though I felt that, too.I felt you pull on the magic here.Sir,what manner of being are you,if I may ask?" She asked curiously, quietly so that only he could hear her.She didn't want to draw attention,in case he wanted to keep his nature a secret.

Tabby gasped at the unexpected feeling coursing through her. This was not what she had expected. The stories she heard, told of unimaginable pain, sometimes so fierce it would break the donor psychologically. Yet her arm felt... numb, and a pleasant almost floating feeling was sweeping through her abdomen. She was acutely aware of every beat her heart made. She wasn't sure if it was magic, or just a lack of care as to their audience. Normally she would be shy, but she didn't mind that people were watching. Maybe they were learning a thing or two. She thought humorously.

And then, just as quickly, it was over. She felt... lighter. As if the blood loss made her weigh less. She took a moment to breathe, keeping her eyes closed. After a minute, she regained her composure and opened her eyes. Surprisingly, she wasn't as affected as she thought she would be. A little light headed, but that was it.

Tabby looked down at her wrist. It was almost blank, the two tiny marks quickly disappearing until there was nothing but smooth skin left. "Oh." She said softly, her lips parted in surprise. Surely there would have been marks, she was sure of it. Yet there was nothing. Curiosity was burning inside her, but she held off. Questions would be answered when the time was right. For now, they had to figure out the predicament they were all mysteriously in.

"You're quite welcome." She said warmly. That had certainly been interesting.
