She felt so completely horrible for Seriena. Aqua complete materialized with her arms holding the mermaid close, "I'm here and you can't hurt me. I promise." The sprite held onto the girl wishing for some way to help her feel better. "You haven't got to worry. When my captain gets the artifact she is after, she will use it's power to set up a safe place for all of us to live. It is what connects us together, the pain in our past. Even if she can't, I will stay with you." Aqua leaned back searching the mermaid's face to see if she was okay.l

***

Destiny narrowed her eyes and searched the face of her opponent. The eyes told her that she was telling the truth. The set of the mouth warned her that she would fight with everything she had. Still, Destiny could see the tiredness in her face despite the deceiving posture. She on the other hand had rested the night before. If this opponent had been up since yesterday, then she already had an advantage. She replied carefully, taking in her comrades' approving gazes, "I care about and love my captain's crew. They are in danger. We are their only hope. That which they seek our only hope for the future. I can not back down. All our lives depend on that."

Seer Of the Future 11-26-2012 06:51 PM

Seriena was surprised as Aqua fully materialized, and pulled her into a tight bug. Feeling safe she hugged her friend tightly, letting only one other tear fall as she did. She felt soothed and comforted the way the woman spoke to her. The mermaid felt for the first time that she was truely forgiven. No matter what she was, she still had a new friend who would be there for her. When aha pulled Way to look of her, the purple haired female smiled softly. "I would love to meet this Destiny, and I would love to show you both my island... It would be wonderful to have a few humans live upon it once more... It would take a little to patch up the houses, but it's possible." Seriena said with hope. Maybe her future would be brighter then she thought.

Lúthien took in the words of the woman before her and then nodded. "I admire your cause and loyalty, but I cannot let you do this." she said smoothly and with a swift movement she hit a nerve upon the man's neck she was holding. His eyes rolled back and he slumped against her legs. Laying him down her eyes hardened as she stood. "You leave me no choice, I will make you leave. By force." she said and threw off the magic robes which dissapated into the air. Revealing her red hair and white dress beneath. Drawing her double swords, she looked dead on at the woman in front of her. "Last chance. Leave."

Jessie set the last trap off, another net jerked her last victim well above the tree line and out of site. The cuts on Father Blake's chest had crossed a line. Jessie was eager to face off with that sadistic woman. They had a ways to go before the trail would end at the courtyard gate to the monastery. Jessie ran ahead and vaulted the low wall. She noticed the door to the monastery open and skid to a halt, the voices nearby reaching her ears. "Last chance. Leave." Jessie was puzzled. The only person who ran the monastery was Father Blake. Why was there someone in there protecting it?

Jessie crept along the wall and chanced a look around the corner. By the garden, were five people. Three were in close formation, backs to Jessie and facing a red haired female armed to the teeth with an unconscious man at her feet. Based on the set of everyone's shoulders, the warning had come from the red haired female. Silently, Jessie thanked whatever deities in the heavens for help that had come.

Jessie caught the red haired female's attention and gave the hand signal for peace, letting the woman know Jessie was on her side. Next, she showed the woman her dart and blow gun and motioned towards one of the men. Then, she indicated that the red head should attack the female during the confusion of her comrade falling while Jessie took down the other male. Lastly, she raised the blow gun and waited for the woman's signal.

Seer Of the Future 11-29-2012 11:52 PM

Lúthien was preparing herself for the fight to come when someone caught her eye. Glancing over she saw a female claim she was on her side. Seeing the blow gun and understanding the plan, the elf raised her head and then lowered it to look at the pirates before her. "I warned you." she said and then reached to her sides and put her hands on her double swords. Drawing them she then slashed one, hoping the woman next to her realized that was the signal to use the blow gun. Once another guy went down, Lúthien would be able to take down the others, no problem.

maidenroseheart 11-30-2012 12:15 AM

Realizing it was just her and the monk, she groaned. This was not going well at all. All her men were either missing or killed. More blood. More death. She had to get the artifact fast before the rest of her world fell apart. Sassy didn't like this at all. How in the world had all this happened? Why shouldn't she just slit the monk's throat and be done with him? She pushed on, keeping him tight against the front of her with his arm twisted tight behind him. The blade she held at his throat as they walked creating a slight crease in his neck.

Father Blake struggled along, doing his best not to accidentally trip. That would definitely let out a lot more blood than he was willing to lose today if he could help it. His empathy had picked up all the pain and death around him. The anguish of his dear Jessie Rose whenever he was hurt. The despair when the captain lost another man. Now the distress up at the monastery had him wanting to run. However he dared not. This pirate captain was at her wits end and desperate. Desperation was always a bad thing. It made people unpredictable.

***

Destiny quickly pulled her own knives. It was like her men were dropping like flies around her. Grimacing and feeling backed into a corner, her hesitant nature gave way to the fight mode. She blocked the thrusts at her and let a hidden blade in her sleeve fly at the elven warrior. Before it was halfway towards her, another throwing knife flew out of her other sleeve towards her.

***

Aqua smiled at Seriena and replied, "I think you would really like her. She is really shy and hides this by acting tough or just hanging out. Literally. She is always up on the ropes out of reach on the ship, but she sees everything. It was her that saw I was in trouble earlier. I used a lot of energy to manipulate the water around the ship, helping it to go faster. The last thing I remember before passing out was her speeding down the ropes towards me." Aqua thought over how Seriena had to flop about on land to tend the plants. That was really sad. "You can ride along with me on land. Truly. I can just make my dress water and you can rest with it, like a swan on a pond." It wouldn't be the fastest transportation in the world, but it would work a lot better than Seriena trying to get about on her own.

Seer Of the Future 11-30-2012 02:05 AM

Lúthien was impressed with the aim of the woman assisting her in this battle. Some humans had far more to them that met the eye. And with this poor girl practically cornered, the elven woman knew that she would pull out any stop to try and stop her, but that wasn't exactly something she wasn't ready for. As the hidden knives came out, so did some hidden skills. With a swipe of her blades, one deflected the first knife and the other attacked the pirate. While doing so the elven woman twirrled and the knife flew harmlessly away. Keeping locked in the fight, she wasn't making too many moves. She did not want to harm this woman, and would do most anything to get her to leave peacefully, but if she proved difficult, there may not have been that route in the first place. "Please, stand down, I do not wish to harm you. I wish to let you leave with your life." Lúthien said and Shanniel growled and snapped at the girl's legs, keeping her in a tight area so she couldn't escape, they were sure that the other woman could handle the approaching party.

Smiling softly, Seriena listened to her new friend's words. This Destiny sounded wonderful. "She sounds like a good person, and luckily we have trees for her to climb." she said lightly and her eyes lit up at the thought. "That would be wonderful! I have dreamed of gaining love from a human so that I may transform and have legs so I can walk on land. But this solution is a wondrous idea! As long as it doesn't ware you out that's a great idea." she said and then patted her dragon friend's head. "Would your captin come live with us too?" the hybrid asked curiously.

maidenroseheart 11-30-2012 03:34 AM

Aqua hesitated at that one. The captain loved her crew and would never leave any of them behind. Since most of the crew was men, bringing them along would only cause Seriena more worry and stress. Still, she didn't want to hurt her friend. How to explain this was rather difficult. "She would love the island and you. It is just that she cares very deeply about her crew. Most of them are men and that would stress you out worrying over trying not to sing. She will be fine though. Just as soon as she gets the artifact, everything will be okay."

*****

Destiny twirled her blades ruthlessly. Her strengths were only blades and speed. She didn't focus on gunmanship, hand-to-hand combat, or anything else so that when the day came that she was backed into a corner, she would be really proficient for what she believed in. Right now, that was fighting for her friend and captain. To the death if necessary. This woman would be a threat to Sassy and she couldn't let her be near the beloved captain. So instead she fought hard, putting everything into her work.

*****

Sassy pushed the monk clear of the tree line and stared in shock at the monastery. The sound of blades ringing against the walls warned her of the battle inside of the courtyard. Keeping the monk solidly in front of her, she hurried him along. She was definitely relieved that he seemed so willing to hurry as well. That would mean he wanted to get there as quickly as she did.

Seer Of the Future 11-30-2012 04:24 AM

Seriena was surprised to hear this but she understood. One must take care of what they love. Like she took care of the fruits upon her island. "I understand. She's always welcome to visit." she said lightly and then sighed softly and then looked to Aqua. "What's it like to have legs? To walk on land and feel that grass and sand beneath your feet?" she asked curiously, looking at Aqua with hope. "I wish for one day that I can have my own feet, so I can walk and not swim... To be able to change between swimming in water and walking on land. My mother could do that when she loved my father. I'm just scared I will hurt a male again..." she breathed, revealing her dream to Aqua, maybe one day...

Lúthien admired this woman for her blade work. For a human, she was exceptional. Almost a prodigy like she was. "I apologize but I must end this great sparring match." she said with genuine care. With an amazing movement known only to elves, she flickered her blades so they combined into one another and then at the last minute they were two blades one again, and she disarmed the woman in the movement. Holding her sword to the woman's throat, she looked at her straight in the eyes. "Stand down. Or I will have to knock you out." she said, her eyes conveying she didn't want to do such a thing, but she would do so if needed. Hearing Shanniel's growls, the people were approaching swiftly. "I apologize." she said and moving swiftly she snatched the woman and held the blade to her throat. "Don't move." she commanded. She would bargen. The priest for the woman.

Silver Storm 11-30-2012 06:50 AM

Draven eyed the guard who had seemed preoccupied, probably not expecting his prisoner to try and make a break for it. Draven pulled out the wire he kept in his pocket and quietly and expertly picked the cell lock. He was on top of the guard before the man had time to say anything. Draven wrapped a piece of cloth around the man's neck, holding on until his victim passed out. He grabbed the fallen man's gun and shot and made it on deck and off the ship without being spotted. He ran up a path, not knowing where it would lead him but before long he saw the monastery ahead.

Superstition 12-01-2012 02:39 AM

Scarlett and her men hurried along the path as fast as humanly possible, hoping to arrive before the other pirates did. Using the secret path Father Moses had long ago showed her, they made time and arrived behind the garden wall, using bushes for cover. She could see Lúthien and Shanniel not far to her right with another woman through the barrier’s rails. The elven seemed to have things under control. Maybe we beat them after all, she thought anxiously, seeing only one intruder. But then Lúthien grabbed her opponent and made her way toward the main monastery gate. Scarlett swore under her breath – they were here. Signaling to her men, half moved silently toward the main entrance as she led the others through the hidden garden entrance. They would surround the pirates, force them to leave and never come back. At least that was the plan, and Scarlett so hated improvising…

maidenroseheart 12-01-2012 10:27 AM

Crossing across the large lawn in front of the mission, Sassy paused in the center and looked at the open gate. Someone was coming out from what appeared to be many plants. The courtyard was a garden? She supposed it made sense. A good way to protect the plants you ate at any rate. Keeping the monk very close in front of her with a knife to his neck, she watched in growing horror as Destiny was forced out in a similiar fashion. Only her arm wasn't twisted behind her. What was this? She narrowed her eyes and took in that the four of them seemed to be the only ones here. The elf was using a blade. How had that tired looking creature beaten her second officer?

Grinding her teeth, she began thinking over her plan. She needed all three artifacts and this first one was already slowly slipping out of her reach. She was best with a gun. If need be, Sassy figured she could just shoot at the elf until she dropped dead. Despite holding the second officer in front of her, Sassy's strength was gunmanship and she was a pretty accurate shot down to within half an inch. So there was attempted assassination. Her reputation wasn't based on nothing.

However there was a safer plan. She could always retreat and pretend to leave. Then return and take a faster route up here than that deadly scenic route. The trail through the meadow straight towards town was as plain as day from here. It was obvious that she had been tricked in more ways than she had imagined. Besides the deaths of her crewmen, there was definitely those lies to be dealt with. Perhaps she would burn the town or bombard the harbor. Yet this required time and waiting, something she really didn't feel up to at the moment.

Finally there was a more suicidal approach. Something Sassy really didn't like but wondered if there was no option. Pity Aqua had spent so much time using her magic. Despite Aqua's strong stamina, she needed rest and was useless now. It would have been handy though to have her magical abilities to get them out of this new situation. Narrowing her eyes at the elf, she demanded, "What are you and how dare you hold my second officer hostage." Despite her strategic mind saying giving away the importance of Destiny was a bad idea, another part of her wanted this stranger to understand that she wasn't as important in Sassy's own eyes as Destiny was and therefore useless.

Seer Of the Future 12-01-2012 06:43 PM

Lúthien watched as the captin walked forward with the priest, and knew that the other woman would want to kill her on the spot. She could see the attachment they had to one another, either close friend's or something more, she didn't devulge into the details. As the captin stopped in her tracks, the elf looked to Destiny and then to the Father Blake. "I am here to protect the monastery. I only appear when those of intent to steal from this sacred place approach. This talented woman and some of your crew tried to set a trap within the monastery, and I stopped them." the elven female said smoothly and looked over the male. That was when she noticed her crew and captin with her good eyes. "I believe this woman is highly important to you, with her skills and drive to keep you safe, I think a trade is in order. The woman for the priest. And then you leave." she said firmly.

maidenroseheart 12-01-2012 10:26 PM

Sassy looked at Destiny. A multitude of unwritten words flashing between them when their eyes locked. Destiny gave Sassy a sad smile, but with the look of determination in her eyes. With swiftness, Destiny brought her up. Her palm connecting with the elf's wrist that held the blade to her own throat. A knife within her sleeve flying up and out into the Elf's wrist.

Father Blake saw this as his moment of distraction. He knew Jessie was about to have a heart attack from all his wounds. With no one watching, he simply healed himself. Smooth skin replaced the gunshot wound and slashes made earlier. The bleeding stopped and pain eased away.

Seer Of the Future 12-02-2012 01:30 AM

Lúthien was expecting movement from the girl within her arms. Allowing her to break free and cut her wrist. Watching the blood drop suddenly flames lept from the ground and rushed towards Destiny. It roared as if an angry beast and took form of a dragon. Snarling and breathing more fire. This was something that had happened before in her life, but now, the elven princess knew how to control the powers. "I warned you. I guard this place, and I do not fail. Give the father over and none shall be harmed." she demanded, anger flashing in her eyes. Shanniel was itching to jump through the flames and attack the pirate captin, but she stayed back on the red headed elf's words. "I will not give any more chances. My patiences grows thin."

Superstition 12-02-2012 02:17 AM

“As does mine.” Scarlett's voice boomed as she and her men stepped out from the foliage, coming up behind Lúthien and Shanniel. She looked through the flames at the intruders, then saw the blood running down Lúthien’s arm. Her own anger threatened to become as the flames. Glaring at the intruders, she saw the obvious leader holding who could only be Father Blake by the neck. “I protect this island and its inhabitants.” Placing her hand on the elven, she motioned for her to douse the flames slightly. Scarlett didn’t want them missing her insinuation. When she spoke, her voice was commanding, “Leave now and you live. Your choice." At her words, the sound of many pistols’ hammer’s cocking replaced the roar of the fire. Her crew knew their instructions well. Scarlett's hand rested on the pistol in her belt, standing ready to use it if necessary, though she hated using such a crude instrument.

Seer Of the Future 12-02-2012 05:26 AM

Her Captin arose and soon she and her crew surrounded them. Hearing her she lowered the angry flames that seemed to try to reach out and snatch at the two opposing pirates against them. The crew soon pulled back the hammers on the guns, and soon she felt her captin brush against her. Ignoring the blood running down her arm, the elven woman concentrated on controlling the flames around them. She didn't want the hungry magic to eat and feed upon the people upon her side. Especially since it was blood magic, it made it ruthless, harsh, hard to control, and insanely strong. After this little adventur, the elven woman would need a really big meal and long nap.

maidenroseheart 12-02-2012 07:32 AM

The fire lit up the sky casting a glow on the town and ocean below. Aqua stared up at it in growing nervousness. Looking at her friend in desperation and back up, she hugged her friend once more and the sped up to the surface. Breaking the surface, she looked past the ship towards the monastery. There were flames up there. If she hadn't eaten that magical fruit, she would have not had the energy. Something had gone dreadfully wrong. Using her abilities, the first thing she did was to start getting the water in the air to come form together in a massive swirling cloud above the island. Allowing herself to liquidify, she joined her water droplets in the fast trip into the sky. Reaching the rainclouds, she looked down at the scene below. It was hard to believe what she saw.

There was another band of pirates surrounding what was left of both raiding parties from Sassy's ship. Glad for her renewed energy and stamina, she began a downpour of rain. Drowning into the flames and the surrounding me, she slammed the water hard. Hard enough to turn the ground into mud that sucked at those who tried to move on it's surface. She allowed herself to fall down with the rain. Reaching the ground, she let her body slip into the undergrowth inside the courtyard. Out of sight, she carefully controlled the water around the elf and made the molecules of water slow down until they formed ice. Grinning, she did the same for all water on a metal surface that would betray a gun or blade. No one now could use their weapons.

Silver Storm 12-02-2012 08:12 PM

Draven reached the monastery and crept through the shadows to a spot where he could see what was going on. He watched, not ready to reveal his position since things seemed to be going fine for Scarlett and her crew. He hid where he was, as silent and undetected as a shadow. He would wait here for trouble.

Seer Of the Future 12-02-2012 08:19 PM

As the clouds gathered above, Shanniel let out a loud growl. "Water sprite! I know that scent anywhere!" she warned, and then came the down pour of water. "Keep stead fast. We can still protect this place." Lúthien said softly in the mind of her captin. It seemed it would boil down to magic and power. These human pirates could do what they like, but their lives were held in the balance of fire and water clashing. As the mud began forming, there was a flash and steam rose up around Lúthien in a six foot diameter and the ground was scorched and solid. But then the ice came, strictly for her. The fire never ceased, but soon the ice was biting at her legs and was slowly solidifying. Shanniel gasped and looked at her friend with worry. "Lúthien... You have to be careful... If you pass out the ship..." she whispered with worry and the red haired elf smiled bravely. "I know Shanniel... I understand the situation." she said smoothly and her eyes darted around with another light th ice melted from her legs, and as if from a nightmare, fire like runes began running up her legs slowly. Shanniel looked distressed as she watched the princess. "Water sprite! We do not wish harm upon you or your crew. We will let them leave if they do so in peace and give back the priest." she called calmly, knowing with the rain, the sprite could be anywhere. "Be causes captin, the water turns to ice, and ice and metal don't mix." the elf said logically. If she controlled water she would take out the weapons first. It only made sense.

Seriena hugged Aqua and watched in awe as she rose in the water. "Aqua what's going on?" she called worriedly. Without her friend with her, she would not have her protection. As her new friend looked to the monastery, the hybrid's eyes widened seeing the fire. "Oh no... Isn't that where Father Moses lives?!" she said worriedly. "Come on Aqua! We have to see if we can help! Up the river." she said and grabbed onto a spike on her friend's back and soon they were shooting through the water. Heading for the delta of the island where the single river came from the waterfall. If the artifact was removed they would be stranded because the water level would drop drastically. Father Moses had warned her before when he freed her from s fisherman's net on this river years ago. she prayed this would be safe.

maidenroseheart 12-02-2012 09:50 PM

Sassy raised an eyebrow and released the priest. As she shoved him forward, she saw that his gunshot wound and the knife wounds were healed. Glowering at him, she hissed, "So you kill my crew but allow yourself to live. Go then." She had paid a high price and would not leave without the first of the three artifacts. If she gave up here, then all was lost. She had to have it. "Alright Elf. He is free. You said we could all leave unharmed if he was released. You better keep your end of the bargain."

Aqua realized she didn't have much time. Only as much time as her captain had to get to the boats. She intensified the rain storm, keeping a light rain path clear for Sassy and Destiny. However she didn't want this Elf to cause more trouble. Creating ice spears high in the air, she drove them down like spikes on all sides of the Elf. Then pulled a fountain of water up to grab and shove Destiny away and towards Sassy. With so much water around, she had no trouble identifying where everyone was. They had only to be touched by water. She smiled and slowly sifted herself out. Stretching herself, she soaked into the trees and ground looking for the orb. No luck. She pushed herself on, slowly working her way through the rooms before the sanctuary.

Seer Of the Future 12-02-2012 10:08 PM

Lúthien made the flames accept the Father easily, surrounding him in protective flames and made a path for the free mats to go through. As the trade was made, the princess's eyes narrowed. "If you keep your part, the I will keep mine, such is the ways of a bargain." she said firmly. Though as she did, Shanniel's growl intesified and a bark came from her. Nose to the ground, the fox shot off towards the monastery. Eyes widening the elven princess understood. Looking to her captin she out Annandale on her shoulder. "Take the father and a few crew. Go to the orb. Shanniel can detect the sprite searching in the ground. She's trying to track the orb faster. Go swiftly." she said in the kind of the captin and the priest before her. Turning her golden eyes towards the pirates she nearly hissed as the glowing marks had reached her stomach and was working itself up. "Leave now!" she snarrled her flames growing larger. It was obvious her patience wore thin, she didn't want to kill these two but she would, brit a warrior that's what was in the job discription.

maidenroseheart 12-02-2012 10:57 PM

Sassy pulled Destiny with her and the two of them worked their way down the short trail towards town. Destiny asked, "What about all our dead men? We can't let them get away with that!" Sassy replied while running, "We will get our revenge. Don't mistake that. We will be meeting up with them again. We just don't want to be here when Aqua turns her fury on everyone else. We would be in her way. And they will come after us.

Aqua found what she was looking for. Down beneath the sanctuary, within the crypt's walls, was a magical pull. That pull led to a glowing blue orb. Small as a child's wrist. By itself, it could do little. However, if they were to find the remaining two articfats, the chalice and the lid, then this would provide a great deal of power. Power she intended Sassy to have and use. Nothing could be done for the dead. Everything could be done for those still surviving though. She wrapped herself around the orb and pulled it along with her out of the crypt and up into the sanctuary. Aqua iced the entire building and sent a freezing mist through the air.

Father Blake hurried towards the elf, then paused. Turning, he searched for Jessie Rose. He was so concerned about her. She had had to endure much recently and had been close to a breaking point. Despite the icy rain, he stayed out in it looking around for her. He wanted nothing more in that moment than to have her in his arms. She deserved a better life than one filled with the death and pain she had known. If only he could show her he had healed himself. The rain was washing all the blood on his skin away. Nothing but the pink outlines remained and in hours, they too would disappear.

Superstition 12-03-2012 01:14 AM

Scarlett stayed still, not listening to Lúthien's plea. A water sprite....that changed things. She watched as the pirates turned and ran away. They knew something. "Lúthien, call Shanniel back. Now!" As she finished speaking, Scarlett swore to herself. The sprite found the orb! Instead of wasting time tell them, she grabbed Lúthien and Father Blake by the shoulders and pulled them away from the monestary toward the main gate. Just as they cleared it, ice encompassed the buildings and started creeping along the ground towards them. As everyone ran down the path toward the harbor, Scarlett fell behind. Raising her arms infront of her with palms facing out, she took a deep breathe. I hope this works, she thought nerviously. She hadn't done this in a long, long time. As the ice mist almost reached her when it slowed, stopping just out of reach of her hands. The sprite's magic was strong, Scarlett had no hope of reversing the damage but she could keep it from killing the innocents on the island.

Seer Of the Future 12-03-2012 02:01 AM

Lúthien swore as she felt the orb being moved. This sprite was strong, and her rage was driving her actions. Realizing that Shanniel would be in harms way she called her friend who came running. She jumped into the trees and led the crew away and as the elven woman ran she saw her captin turn around. Magic flowed from the woman's body, and a smile came to the princess's lips. She had had a feeling of magic that stirred within her captin. Watching as the ice stopped she ran back to the side of her captin and gave her a confident smile. "Keep strong Captin." she said and then the runes engulfed her body and with a graceful hand movement, the fire elf blew out and fire errupted to meet the ice. "Cleansing fire." she breathed in elvish. Suddenly the fire spread like the rain, swift and angry, causing steam. It burned away all impurities and cold, and it kept going, like racing wolves pushing back the magic and rage of the sprite. Anger was welling up withing her own self, feeling as if she had failed her captin. She should have known that some magical being would be with the pirates. They had to have a wild card to be brave enough to try to take the orb. As anger mounted, so did power. She was fed up. She wanted to end this now, and the destructive flames within her began to tempt her to release them and let them burn those pirated until there was nothing left of their existence. But she stayed firm in keeping the cleansing purifying flames moving. They couldn't let the town get hurt.

Seriena smiled to Aqua as they made it half way up the river but cried in shock as the river suddenly lowered. "No! The orb has been removed!" she cried and Aqua tried to slow their intense pace, but was too slow. They both hit the rocky bottom of the river and the poor dragon slammed into the side of the rive, her scales on her underbelly torn up and off. Seriena had been thrown off her back and hit a big rock, her tail ripped and her stomach skin ripped as well. Tears of pain stung at her eyes as she looked up, her eyes widening. Ice and fire were headed their way, and painfully the hybrid approached her friend, trying to wake the dragon. They needed some way out, or they were dead. "Aquafina... Oh please gods don't le her be dead." Seriena begged as tears ran down her cut cheeks. If her friend had died, she would never have forgiven herself for saying they should swim up river. It had been a suicide mission.

maidenroseheart 12-03-2012 02:10 AM

Sassy and Destiny reached the town and ran through it. They had a headstart. Forget the tide, they were setting sail immediately. They just had to reach the docks. Aqua would catch up with them in no time. The people in the town were all gathering in the streets and looking up the slopes towards the monastery on the cliffs. It was insane. The whole building was an icy castle with swirling rain clouds pelting glistening ice spears down on the grounds surrounding it.

Father Blake saw Jessie Rose and ran for her. Reaching her, he wrapped both arms around her to hold her close. "Jessie, my dearest Rose. I have a friend that sometimes swims in the nearby creek. Will you help me search for her? I need to make sure she is, or can be, back out in the ocean where she can swim easily." He couldn't bring himself to let Jessie out of his embrace. It just felt so good to hold her in his arms after the painfully long day they had had. The clouds above had made the noonday sun blotted out like twilight and her presence brought the sun back into his heart as nothing else could.

Aqua battled with herself. The orb couldn't do much without the other two artifacts. However it was still pretty powerful. Suddenly she had a problem. Her magic was a lot stronger than she had intended. It took all her efforts to pull the mist to a stop before it seeped too far down the slopes. She didn't want to see children crying because of her actions. With the mist finally halted. She rose and took form in the sanctuary. Looking around at the icy place, she thought about how easy it would be to snap her fingers and have the whole building shatter. The monk though would then need a new place to live. Of course with the water damage already done to the place... wait, she had seen him heal himself. He would easily mend the water damage within hours. That was not her concern. She drifted forward towards the exit, water droplets of boiling fire as well as icy daggers swirling around her. She was going to need to eat a large evening meal tonight.
