Welcome To Terra...
The world:
Terra is made up of many different islands, but is separated into six main areas.
Kōri- An arctic tundra, Kōri is always covered in snow, and ice. This area is often plagued by blizzards and ice storms. Large glaciers and ice caverns cover the area. Beautiful fur products are produced here, and they are known for fishing as well.
Taiyō- Covered in volcanoes, the valleys here are perfect for crops due to the volcanic soil. It is often hot and plagued by ash rain and volcanic erruptions. It is known for its hot and spicy food, volcano flakes are a specialy, created by peppers that grow close to the volcanoes.
Fumō- A desert area, Fumō is known for sandstorms. It is barren and rocky, famous for producing some of the toughest Surgers in Terra. It has many outlaw posts, and older style towns. It has a few oasis spread out over the land as well.
Rōmu- The most desireable place to live in Terra, therefore the most populated. Rōmu is covered in lush valleys and forests. Rōmu is separated into the main cities and the natural areas. It is known for its beauty, and exotic plants and fruits. Some resorts are located here, and it is a tourest spot.
Jōki- Elevated into the sky, Jōki is known for wind storms and tornados at times. Not much is known about it from its elevation, and is only accessable by flying guardians or the sky people. It is said to be a beautiful place with mountains, trees and waterfalls that reach through the clouds.
Sōru- Ruins cover this area, from a civilization not known by many. It has terrane similar to all five of the other area's, and is where the Battle City is located. Most of the tournaments take place here.
Technology:
Terra's tech is complex. They do not have huge modern establishments or gadgets like the normal world. Most houses and buildings are simple and slightly more primative in design. Stone, straw, wood, and metal are typically used. The major cities and resorts are a bit more advanced, and it goes down from there, the slums are the worst. They do not have TV or CD players or all those things. They have radios and ships, but no cars. Most people get around on makeshift motorbikes or on guardians. Their tech goes more towards Surging, since it is their favorite pass time. Weapons such as spears, swords, bows and arrows, and things like that are made. Capsuls are made as well, to house guardians when not in use.
Guardians:
Guardians are considered the animals of Terra. They are used around the areas in various ways. Each area has their own unique types of Guardians.
Kōri- Typically ice baised guardians are found here, as well as Psycic or water types.
Taiyō- Fire type guardians are found here, rock type and dragon type guardians as well.
Fumō- Ground baised guardians are found here, as well as steel types and shadow/dark type guardians.
Rōmu- Plant type guardians, Poison type, and beast type guardians can be found here..
Jōki- Wind, light and lightning/Electrical type guardians can be found here.
Sōru- It is known for its fighting types, ghost types and bug types.
Capsuls:
Capsuls come in the form of wristbands. Each wristband has a gem that starts out clear. A guardian when captured will turn into pure energy and be absorbed into the gem. The gem will turn the following color depending on their type.
Ice
Water
Fire
Rock
Ground
Shadow/Dark
Plant
Beast
Wind
Electric/Lightning
Psycic
Ghost
Light
Surging
Surging is the main pass time and ultamite sport of Terra, people enjoy and it utilizes strength, body, mind, spirit and a bond between a Surger and their guardian. Surging comes in various forms.
Race: Usually for larger, riding appropriate guardians, the Surgers must ride their guardian along the designated track. You can win by crossing the finish line first. Getting knocked off of your guardian disqualifies you.
Battle: The most typical form of Surging, the Surger gives orders, and the guardians in fact battle directly. First one to knock out their oponant, or force them back to their capsul wins.
Course: There are various obstical type courses, set to test various skills of not only guardians but their Surgers as well. It is similar to a Race, though this one may be timed, or set in a way to a specific advantage or disadvantage to a type of guardian.
Challenge: A challenge is similar to a course or a race. A challenge usually requires the participants to seek out and retrieve an item or series of items. It can be timed or set to the advantage or disadvantage of a type of guardian. This type is unique, in where most of the time the item unlocks the next part, and can be combined in one of the other types.
Teams:
To compete in normal everyday Surging, no team is really needed, sincee it takes place all over Terra all the time. To compete in competitions however, you need to be in a team of at least four or five. Depending on the type of surging battle taking place, it may allow all members to compete at once, or one member to compete in each event. In Grand Prix, which is a combination of all the types of surging in one, teams are manditory.
Prizes:
Prizes for surge matches varry. In everyday usual ones, no prizes are one. What is called a noble bet is often made among Surge teams however. This bet is recognized by the council, and therefore must be followed through. The terms of this bet could be to never return to an area, paying a fee, or even handing over a guardian. In recognized tournaments, the prizes varry as well. There may be a trophy, food, money, or a rare guardian given as a prize. Along with this, fame and respect comes with winning many Surge matchees, due to its popularity in Terra.
Code:
All partakers of Surging often follow a code, typical of a good warrior. They agree not to use their guardians for evil, and to uphold the law to their best. They also agree to treat not only people, but their guardians with respect, as they are their partners. They agree to fight with honor and with heart, following the rules and not cheating in anyways. Most of the code of a true Surge worrior is unspoken, but all follow it. There are thoes hoever who do not....
Bonding With A Guardian.
Most of the time children are given a guardian at a young age to grow up with, others are not. To capture a guardian and make it a part of your team you must either defeat it in battle, win it, or bond with it. A bond between a guardian and its' surger is very important. The stronger the bond, the stronger and harder a guardian will work with it's surger. When bonding with a wild guardian it is important to remember they are a strong and wild race. They can sense the feelings and intentions within people's hearts and may decide one of three things: Run, Come willingly, or fight. If they choose to fight you can either battle with a guardian of your own, or take it on on your own. It is better to try a weaker or newer guardian if you decide to take it on on your own.
Training:
Guardians gain experiencee throughout their lifetimes and as they grow. They learn it from either being in the wild or traveling with a surger. They learn through battles and interacting with not only surgers but other guardians as well. They also get stronger and learn through bonding with their surgers. As they train new abilities and attacks may arise.
Cuisene and Trade:
Kōri- Beautiful fur products are produced here, being their main source of income. They are known for fishing as well. Plants will not grow here due to the harsh climent, so people live off of what is produced by the see.
Taiyō- Known for ritch and exotic crops and plants due to the volcanic soil. Most of the food is spicy or heat based. They are known for their bold cuisine and bold flora and fauna.
Fumō- Known for it's tough guardians, and its' beer. This place attracks many training people, so the hotels and taverns are the main source of income They are also known for their odd stone caverns.
Rōmu- Known for it's tourism and the trade in the cities. A lot of vegetable and fruit baised dishes come from here, on top of the tech and the resorts..
Jōki- A lot of jewlery and feather products come from here, the food is normally light and yet filling. They feed on fresh fish and home grown foods..
Sōru- Battle City and the tournaments are the main source of income here. Many shops are set up for this reason, including foods from all over and souvenires.
Guardian Type Matchups:
Basically, the types follow the normal guidelines. In this charta blanc square means the matchup is reletively equal and the attacks will vary in power. The green + means the type would be super effective, and cause a lot of damage. An orange - means that the type is not really effective and attacks would do little damage. A red X means that the type is not effective at all, and would be useless in a fight against it. For this type, substitute Normal types as Beast types, and go from there.

Lexus Ravine
Rōmu was nice in the mornings, the sun filtering through the trees, birds singing. Lexus sat at the hideout his father had established years ago. The Shadowclaw group had hideouts on almost every single area in Terra, it was easier when people were stationed there to have a place for them to stay. He messed with the capsul for his guardian Rush. He had agreed to not become a surger until he turned sixteen, and now that he was, he still barley got any practice in. His father had gone off on a mission when reports of a strange group came in from the north. His father wouldn't speak about it, but now it had been over a week since the two had had any contact.
He thought about calling his dad on the communicator, but if his father was in the middle of something, he could be endangering him. Lexus had a bad feeling about this though, it wasn't like his father not to call for this long. He sighed, slipping Rush's capsule back onto his wrist next to Leo's and stood. It wasn't doing any good here just sitting around. He stepped out into the sunlight, the town was not to far away. He could get some lunch, and then head off for some practice before he had to study. He hoped Jargas wouldn't get mad. Jargas was the only member of Shadowclaw who was stationed at the Rōmu base at the moment. Many surgers were here, so it really wasn't to manditory to have many here.
The others would already be in town keeping things flowing. Lexus knew Jargas was also left behind to keep an eye on him, Lexus had only been ten when his father had begun going on more important missions, so the two had not seen eachother much. His father had always managed to stay in contact though and come see him when possible. Last year he had gone to look into things though, and now this. Lexus sighed, walking along the path that led towards the city. People waved and greeted him as he went, and he returned the greeting smiling. Everyone knew him because of his father's legacy. Lexus was proud and honored by his dad, but he was looking forward to making a name for himself.
The whole idea interested him, going out into the lands, learning all there was to know about guardians, and surging. He could not wait to get into a surge match. He had been practicing with his father everyonce in awhile when he was home, and with Jargas, but he had yet to really get into the heat of things. To become Terra's best surger, just like his dad was his dream. His other was to learn about guardians. It was hard to decide, but it all so interesting, and his for the taking. He couldn't just keep sitting around waiting on his father forever. He paused for a moment, did he really just think that? He sighed, he missed his father a lot.
The town was active as always, people taking care of buisiness, buying capsuls and weapons and supplies for their journies. It made the itch to get going in Lexus' stomach grow. It was taking all his strength to be patient. He stepped into one of his and his father's favorite places to get some food, ordering the usual he took up his usual window table as well. He smiled as he looked out the window, he could not wait to be the surger he knew he could be. This place brought back so many memories to, of helping his father before a mission. He hoped that he herd from him soon, with that thought he began to eat.

A blonde haired male sighed, he was at the bow of the water vessel, a smile on his face as he listened to Laila, he often let her stay outside of the capsul so that he could bond with her. At the moment, she was just howling in his ear, mourning still for the lost of his twin. "Laila....hush now. I know you are sad....if your going to be like this at least return to your capsul." he said to her as he tilted his head back towards her, bright ice blue eyes locked onto her. He reached a hand out, stroking her head, though his hand would easily go through her, after a few more minutes, the clear gem on his left wrist turned a brighter color purple to show she was inside of it.
"I miss her too." he mumbled as he stroked the gem, looking absently out at sea once more, getting excited when he saw the dock to Rōmu island a head, he couldn't help but to call Silas out, after all they have always been together and this was more something they should share though Laila was there to share also. "Sigh! Look we are here! Can you believe it, man? We finally made it.....we should get something for her." he said absently as he now looked at the white tiger next to him, having called him from his gem as he stroked his head.
Though once they were docked, he swung onto his back, bounding off into the city, looking for a place to stop and eat. After all sea food was not something that he was happy with, it seems as if all the food on ships, sucked. Finally coming across a shop where a delicious smell of food was coming from, he thanked Silas before letting him go back into his capsul, promising food to them both before he walked in. Noticing a boy near a window, figuring he should at least make a friend, he ordered some food before he went towards him. "HEy i am new to town and would like to make some friends. Do you mind if i joined you and we became friends?" he asked him bluntly as he gave him a charming smile, once he got an answer, be it a no or a yes, he still took the seat across from him, looking the male over for a few minutes before he looked out the window. He blushed slightly considering this spiky haired male was rather attractive, he really did look like the type that his twin would go after, heck even he was willing to go after him, the thought made him laugh.

Lexus watched out the window as a bunch of children passed by. They were so happy and carefree, looking in the windows of stores at the things that were being sold there. They looked so interested in the guardians that were coming through the area to, Rōmu was known for plants and beast types, but being the center of what could be considered Terra's shopping hub, a lot of other types came through here. It was always a new and exciting place, attracting both new and experieenced Surgers. Lexus was glad to live in the center, but with Jargas around, Lexus was kept on a rather tight leash. He didn't notice the guy, until he began to speak and then finally sat down. His eyes shifted over to the male as he spoke and a few thoughts began to flow through his mind.
So this guy wasn't from around here eh? It wasn't unusual, but not many just went up to someone asking to be friends. It was a bit surprising and a bit shady. After all, where there was a lot of people, there was also sure to be bad guys. His eyes slid to the other male's wrists, where two capsuls sat. So he was a surger to...From the colors, it seemed he had a ghost type and a beast type. Lexus himself followed after his father, they were more of beast and electric types. His family was origionally from Jōki, but had moved here when he was still young. His father said it was better for training and easier to get around from here then back home. He realized that he was kind of staring, and shook his head to clear it. A smile forms on his lips and he looks back at him.
"Well, welcome to Rōmu for starters, as for the whole friend thing...I'm not so sure how useful of a friend I'd be" he says picking up his glass. Jargas would be protective if he found out Lexus was talking to strangers. He was sixteen now, and by all means could handle himself. He did not like continually being treated like a child though, but he supposed from Jargas' side, he was only doing his job. Lexus sighed and stood, slipping out of the booth. "Sorry, I really should be going...I was going to get some training in today. It was nice meeting you mr....?" he realized he had never gotten the guys name, nor had he given his own. He wondered how the guy would react when he found out that Lexus was a Ravine.

Ronan looked the male over, chuckling a bit before he ate his food, waiting to see what he was going to say about him, hoping that they could be friends, after all when your in the teams, it is better to have friends that you know will not through you under the bus and be done with it all. His eyes wandered over the store, getting a sad look when he saw siblings together, even dates going on, he never seemed to have that, always missing it.
He came here from Sōru, only to travel, make friends, see some place completely different and to get away form the pain that he had to now live with. He instinctively covered the ghost capsul when he noticed the male was staring at them, not worried about Silas, considering there was no way that he was going to lose him. Though he did notice that he had electric type guardians, he drank some of his water, looking him over once more before he looked out the window, giving a depressed sigh.
Seeing the smile, he couldn't help but smile right back at him, pushing his glasses up his nose before tugging his half ponytail tight, already a few strands had escaped into his face. "Thank you. A friend is a friend no matter the type." he said to him as he used a piece of his food to point towards him a bit, before he popped it into his mouth. He give the male a slight hurt look when he heard that he was leaving him to go training before he thought of something, smiling at him once more, quickly finishing his food as he stood up.
"Ronan.....My name is Ronan. I can train with you if you want. I have plenty of time. You are?" he said to him as he held his hand out to shake his, once the male had took it they would shake hands, if he did not take his hand he would clasp it in a fist before shaking it a bit and letting it drop to his side. He watched the male curiously, it seems as if he was trying to get away from him, avoid him some, though that could be his imagination that was telling him all this.

He took the hand offered to him and shook it lightly, the male speaking about coming with him after introducing himself. So his name was Ronan... Lexus had noticed the looks coming from him when he had looked around the shop, he seemed to be saddened by seeing the people together. He took a breath and slowly responded to the question of who he himself was. "Name's Lexus...Lexus Ravine" he says, turning without waiting for a reaction. "If you want to come that's your choice, I can not force you to stay away" he says. He headed out to the front of the place after paying for his meal. It was a brautiful day, the sun bright and warm, a lot of guardians would be out in the woods today.
He wondered if the male would follow him. Most likely he would, he had asked after all. If Lexus' father had been there, he would have encouraged Lexus to go out and get some experience and meet friends. Friends in this world are important is what his father used to say. He smiled, he was into meeting new people, but the thought of people only liking him and wanting to be around him for what came with his name was a fear of his. Then again, he wasn't one for letting fear overpower him. He was usually headstrong and known for rushing into adventure. He loved getting into things and getting his hands dirty. He turned back, deciding to wait for the male and let him tag along. It would be fun, and good to see what other surgers could do.

Rinzer stepped off the boat with his simple luggage and his device that held Snow. He had come to Rōmu to watch some of the other Sugers are the world. Rinzer wasn't into competition but he did like watching and so did snow. He let Snow out, since Rinzer knew he hated being in there. Rinzer bent down and pat his beloved pet before they both took off towards more o the city. Rinzer did love seeing other cities and towns.
Rinzer put his hands into his pockets as he walked into town. He saw all kind of different Guardians. He smiled at the different types and looks that other people had. Rinzer was always cold so it was only natural that he had Snow. "Stay close Snow. I would hate for you to get lost." He said and the little animal nodded with a twirls of his tongue. "Yes, yes we will find some food as well." He smiled as he started off, wondering where a good place to eat was and a place where he could bring Snow inside. This place was so different from back in Kōri.
He saw a restraunt with a man standing out in front of it. He frowned when he looked at the building, finding it questionable. The first thing about a new place, different foods. Rinzer grabbed the hem of his jacket, since he was still dressed for the harsh weather of Kōri, and marched up to the man. "Excuse me? Is this a good place to eat? Do they allow Guardians inside? I'm kind of new around here." He said, unsure of why he added the last part. It was really clear that he was new. His voice shaked slightly as he looked at the man. Rinzer wasn't a very social person and he hated confrontation.

Ronan shook hands with him, grinning even more when he had introduced himself, he had no clue as to there being anything special to Lexus' name and it showed on his face that he just thought of him as just another person. "Nice to met you Lexus. Now we have both taken the first step into be coming friends." he said with a grin as he stood up, moving after the male, though he had to stop to pull his money out to pay for his food.
He frowned as he counted out his money for the meal, grumbling to himself for a few minutes as he did so, forgetting that he had been getting to know his new companion as he had walked out the door. "Thank you sir for the meal, it was delicious though i never had Maiyon before." he said to him as he thanked him once more, looking around to see if Lexus was any where.
Though before he headed outside to see if he could spot him out there, he stopped off at the restroom for a couple of minutes. This city was not what he was expecting, very much lively though considering it was mainly popular for the pleasing appearance and clearly the fruit that it held. He finally moved out side, smiling when he saw his new friend waiting for him, he couldn't help but hug him from behind and nuzzle his neck a little bit. "I am glad that you waited for me." he whispered in his ear, relief in his voice as he hugged him close, though he quickly let him go.
He couldn't help but feel embarrassed after all he had just met the male and here he was acting like they were together though the haven't even officially become friends. He finally noticed Rinzer standing in front of Lexus, the thought that the male had just watched all that made him blush in embarrassment, he soon slowly started to slid away from them both, just wanting to hide from view.

Lexus looked at the other male as he came up to him. This was the second time today someone had just came up to him and bluntly began asking questions. He thought about the other man inside, but before he got much of a thought out, he felt the arms wrap around him. The male speaking into his ear and then nuzzling him made his face turn a bit pink. This guy sure was friendly, it was a bit odd. He looked at him as he began to edge away, but had completely lost his train of thought. "Um..y-yea" he says, looking back at the newcomer. "This is Al's, it allows people of all places and guardians..as long as their not to big or cause a problem" he said. He noticed the way the guy was dressed, he had to be from Kōri, no one would dress casually like that here. It was to warm for furs, except in the nice winters.
He thought about the other guy, and turned to him before he poofed completely. "Uh, ready to go?" he asked, turning away from both. He felt a bit odd now, giving a wave to the guy from Kōri. "It was nice meeting you sir" he says before begining to walk south. He knew it was probrably rude, Jargas would most likely yell at him for just leaving like that, but he felt the situation would be a bit odd for all of them. Plus, he was itching to get out on the trail. He was excited about getting some training in. Hopefully by the time he got home, word would have come from his father. He was still worried about him. He wondered what was so important for his father to personally have to go look into. His father liked to keep him out of danger and the spotlight a lot of the time.
A lot of his father's enemies would not hesitate to use Lexus against his father. They would use anything to get what they wanted and he knew that. It was why his father usually kept a watch on him, and made him promise not to become a surger until he was sixteen. He needed to be able to handle himself, and to know how to use his head before anything. The brain was a surger's most powerful weapon. You could have the strongest guardian in all of Terra, but if you did not know hoe to use it or how to be ready for anything, it was useless. He was ready to get training, and learn how to do just that. Especially with the tournament coming up.

It had been a while since he'd left his home of Fumō those years ago. Now Tyr was a full-time surger and he made his living that way. Rōmu was a nice enough place that it seemed to help dampen his memories of those darker years of his youth. Valtyr was just finishing up on a quick meal as he gulped down some water to wash it down. Looking over his two partners Thane and Shayd, he smiled. It was good to have something that remained loyal to you through the good times and the bad. His guardians had been there for him since he'd left his home and had helped him come make a living in this town.
Ready to finally get his day started, he called them both back to their capsules. If it weren't for the fact that they were violent -and not to mention intimidating- guardians he'd let them walk out in the open. But Rōmu was full of children and traders and just generally happy people unlike Fumō, so the change in atmosphere was good. Getting dressed in his Fuman style clothing, it was the part of home he couldn't let go, he grabbed his sword and headed out. It was time for some training. It wasn't likely that he'd find a guardian that he was interested in bonding with, but there were probably a few tough one's out there that would suffice for a few entertaining battles for Thane and Shayd.
This place never ceased to amaze him. This place was always so lively and crime was rare here. Children played to their heart's content. Grown folk minded their business with a practiced ease. Surgers were everywhere, constantly involved in something. Now that he'd thought about it, it had been a while since he'd had a surge battle. Official or unofficial. There were quite a few groups in the area, the Shadowclaw, the Desert Gale, the Stormhawks, and the Gaia Corps. Yet, he hadn't committed to any of the groups. It was simply better to be a freelancer, but he had been approached. The Desert Gale had approached him on several occasions since they were based out of Fumō directly. It just wasn't going to happen. Not unless he started his own.
As he strolled through town he noticed a few boys who seemed to be headed in the same direction as him. They looked younger than him. Maybe they were new surgers? If that were the case, today might be his lucky day. He could have a battle with one of or both of them. 'That would be interesting', he thought with a mischievous grin on his lips. He needed to get in a bit more practice before the next tournament.

Rinzer blushed as the other one came up behind him. He felt bad for interrupting...what ever they had. He looked back up at the one he had been talking to and smiled. "Thank you. That is very helpful. It was nice meeting you as well." He said as he nudged Snow inside. He found a table and sat in a chair. Snow sat in the chair next to him. Snow was a very well behaved Guardian. He ordered some food for himself and some for Snow, as well as some water for them both. "I'm so excited Snow. Strange food for the first time."

Anastasia was quickly packing a bag full of snacks, and treats. By the end of it she found that she had packed three bags full. She sat down at her kitchen table and sighed, today was going to be the day that she headed out to do her final bit of training in Jōki before she headed to the tournament. She knew that this was going to be her first real tournament, well besides the small ones that were held within her own city that she visited.
Picking up one bag at a time Anastasia brought the bags out the back door into the clearing she called her backyard. She set them down by the door and went over her list of supplies again before running back inside and grabbing her traveling bag full of her clothes and other survival things. Once she was ready she smiled at her work and then called Tangea out of her capsule. Anastasia smiled and said “Sorry, to have kept you in so long, but you’re too big for the house and I was packing for our final training before we head out.” She hugged Tangea’s nose the best she could and stepped back. She looked over at her pile of things then said “Alright, now just to secure them for the flight.” She walked over to the bags and lifted them one by one up onto Tangea’s back. Once it was all up Anastasia climbed up as well and brought the bags over to one of Tangea’s back spikes and tied them tightly around it, making sure that none of them would come lose while they were flying.
Anastasia had always loved Tangea, not only because that meant that she didn't really have to take ships, or other means of transportation. But because it meant that she always had a friend, and being her first guardian she had gotten when she was really young made their bond even strong. In her eyes Tangea was like a sister whom she had grown up with and will always be with her. Slipping back down to the ground she yelled out to her mother and father “I’m ready to get going!”
When Anastasia saw her parents finally walk out the back door she smiled then said “I can’t wait to come back again, and I promise I will no matter what.” She laughed with her parents and then said “Now, make sure nothing happens while I’m gone, I’m probably going to stop in the air docks before I leave just to pick up a few extra things and then I’m gone.” She smiled and listened to her parents wish her luck and then hugged them both before she climbed back onto Tangea and balanced herself so that she would not fall off. She waved to her parents and then said “Alright, Tangea, to the air docks for the last pick up of items.”
With that Tangea and Anastasia lifted up and headed to the air docks, she loved to feel the wind in her face and it to sweep her green hair back out of it. To her it made her feel more alive, she set her Amber eyes on the sky and just let Tangea lead the way. To her it was a beautiful day for traveling and training so she was excited to get out and do so.
She looked for a good place to land Tangea and found one just behind the store that she wanted to go into, she told Tangea to land and watched as the sank behind the store and slid off of her back and said “Now, you know what to do, if you feel threatened at all just take off an hover at a height you feel safe at and then when I come out and see you’re not here I will whistle, just like we practiced.” She smiled and hugged Tangea’s nose again and headed off into the store to get her last few things. She had always repeated what she wanted Tangea to do every time she left her out on her own. To her it made her feel safe that Tangea knew she could leave and be safe if need be, because if Anastasia ever lost Tangea she would be devastated. This also made her feel like the bond between them was stronger because Tangea didn't have to feel threatened and would still come back if she left, either way Anastasia felt like it was the right thing to do.
Anastasia entered the shop and began her search for her last items, she also grabbed some more treats for Nara and Tangea for the trip and for during their training. After gathering what she knew she would need she began to just look around for things that might be useful. She didn't really pay that much attention to the others in the store and kept picking up different items that she saw as interesting. She also, knew that she would have to check out before she actually left and she had time on her side so she took her time.

Raven Darkos
It was hard to believe he was leaving his home behind, Jōki had always been his home and refuge. Now however, he was heading out to the worlds below the clouds. That's what the people up here called them anyways. Jōki floated above the cloudline, and was a mystery to most the people down below. He would have liked to keep it that way, for his people were a peaceful race. His tail swayed from side to side, the black armor like plates of it matching the one on his head. Most people who did not know him in fact did think it was merely armor, like he was wearing a helmet and guards all the tim. In truth it was sort of like an exoskeleton. Harder then bone, it was like a shield protecting his head and his tail. The rest of his body was also covered in this same sort of armor. under it, his normal skin was slightly pale he had herd it referd to as porcaline, perfect and flawless. He could and often did shed the armor over his body, and could take it off at will, since it would grow back within days. The part on his head however was permanent, and would never grow back or be shed.
He was part of the race called the Archies, people thought that they were desendants from guardians who thousands of years ago had managed to somehow mate with humans. That was a bit over the top, but they were not extreamly far off. There were other races around then just the humans and the guardians. He knew of the fish people over in Kōri, who could breath under water and had fins, the rock people of Fumō who had skin tougher then stone and were excalent blacksmiths, then there were the fire people of Taiyō, they were not a friendly people. They were known for bad tempers. Even the monks of Sōru who lived in the caverns and the ruins. Still, many were a bit unnerved by the other 'people' like races. The humans were taking over population, even up here with the Archies. the humans had begun to take root. A sigh escaped from him, and he turned away from the stone hut with the straw roof he had called home for so long. He picked up his bag, and slung it over one shoulder before getting onto his bike.
He had built it himself, he was really good with teck, from his body armor, besides the natural ones, to the twin barrel pistals that sat at his hips. He was a force of his own, and looking forward to seeing what was so special about the rest of the world of Terra. Before heading to the docks, he made a pitstop at a shop. He was expecting a delivery in today, and he hoped it was on time. Stepping into the door, the little bell rang. A few people glanced in his direction and whispered, a few gasps echoing in his ear. "Bloody tourists" he whispered, moving confiently through the shop over to the counter. He didn't even glance at the girl within the shop. The man behind the counter was small and almost balled, only a ring or white hair led around the back of his head from ear to ear. He pushed his glasses up on his nose, and looked up at Raven as he walked over with a big smile.
"Ah Raven, todays the day correct? Taking of to finally see the world" he spread open his arms in a dramatic effect. "Yeah yeah Pops, should be real ensightful" Raven spoke, rolling his eyes. He often got asked about his eyes, they were usually a deep red, but at times they seemed to glow orange, especially in the dark. He had better eyesight and senses then humans, being an Archies, but his eyes seemed to be what people found most menacing about him. They often avoided him because of his tough exterier, so he had learned to create an inner one to match. The old man however was not like most humans, he was not into appearances, and did not care about them at all. He treated everyone fairly, giving them a chance to show him what was on the inside before he decided if he truly liked them or not. Even with his attitude and coldness, the man was still nice to him and playful. Raven felt like he saw something more in him then others did.
He looked down, as he leaned over the counter folding his arms. The man turned back to the shelves behind them, then glanced back up at him. "You alright there boy?" he asked. Raven looked up, and nodded, "just a thought, nothing important." He lowered one hand onto the counter, a slight click sounding as the tips of his talons met the wood leaving tiny imprints from their sharpness. His eyes slid over the others in the shop as the man worked, he knew they were watching him. Many curious, but to shy and nervous to say a single word to him. His tail twitched slightly in annoyance, but he kept his words to himself for Pops, he would show the man the same respect as he had shown him all this time. It was good to know there were at least a few good people left in the world.

Once she had picked up a few more extra things Anastasia headed up to the counter, she had picked up some warmer blankets not knowing if it would be colder or warmer where ever she was going. When she got to the counter she saw that there was another man there and smiled while waiting to purchase her items. She had heard the bell ring before she had come up to the counter and realized that it must have been him who had walked in seeing as she probably would have at least noticed him when she walked in. To her he had a difference about him, and it was not just about how he looked but that also drew her attention. She stood in silence for a moment and looked around the shop, she noticed the others who seemed to be looking at him and whispering.
Anastasia rolled her eyes at them and turned back to the guy and smiled saying “Beautiful day we are having”, she didn’t know why the others in the shop were so afraid of him, and he looked perfectly fine to her. She couldn’t really say normal but she always liked to see people with their own style and ways of putting themselves out there. She looked down at the counter and saw the slight marks and then looked back up at the guy and said “Are you traveling today?” She was going to try to be nice seeing as no one else in here seemed to be being nice to him, well besides the man behind the counter which she thought was a good thing.

Raven noticed the girl walk up after gathering what she needed. He didn't pay much attention however, until she began talking to him. When she said the weather was nice then asked him if he was traveling, he finally turned halfway to see her better. His side resting against the counter, his hand had not moved from where it had been sitting. His eyes moved oveer her, she seemed young and naive if she was being so blunt with him. Probrably a newbie in this line..then again who was he to judge. His mouth was often faster then his head, and got him in a lot of trouble. This time, he mannaged not to say anything before he thought about it. Finally, he gave a slight nod in reguards to her question. "It is nice, though it will be better once I get off of this floating rock" he says. "I suppose that answers your second question to" he lifts his hand off of the wood, using the thumb talon to lightly rub against the middle one.
"I'm guessing your going out as well" he says, looking at the items she had gathered. He would have raised an eyebrow if he had them. He used his claws to lightly scratch the front of his face plate, his third eye being closed right now was hidden by an eyelid made out of the same stuff. Many did not know about an Archies third eye. They were usually used if anything blocked out the other two. They were sensitive, able to see through things at times, like smoke or fog, as well as a farther distance. Rumors were going around they could see into a person's very mind. An Archies face plate was strong, almost inpenetrable, but the third eye was a weakspot. If it was open and attacked, the weapon would go through to the main skull underneath, and into the brain. His father had died that way, but that was a story he was glad he did not have to get into. It was better to keep the facts about his third eye to himself until it was really needed.
The man came up, placing a bag on the counter. "Here you are...be sure to take good care of it" out od the black fur bag he pulled what looked to be an egg. The shell a pure and deep glossy black. Raven reached over and picked up the egg with care. His other hand moved to the bottom to support it. "It's surprising you were able to find one" Raven says. The man smiles, rubbing under his nose with a finger and a proud look. "Never underestimate me boy" he laughed. Raven's eyes stayed on the egg, and a small smile flowed onto his lips. If the old man had come through, this would be a powerful guardian when it hatched and after a good bit of training. He picked up the fur bag. It was made from a guardian up north. Great at keeping the egg warm, and with the skin between the two fur sides, it would help protect the egg. He was ready to get going now.

Rinzer ate happily with Snow. His mind was completely clear and relaxed. He start there with Snow for a good amount of time. They were just relaxing, happy to finally be out of the snow. Snow whirled in delight as he drank some water form a bowl. Rinzer just leaned back in his chair and sipped some ice water. What were they to do now? They could go train but Rinzer wasn't into much competing and Snow wasn't that big on fighting in the first place.
Luka woke up bright and early as normal. She dressed in her usual outfit and brushed her hair thoroughly. She had her Guardians out of their capsules since they liked seeing the out side every once in a while. She grabbed her planner and a pad of paper form her desk in the living room. Seeing as she was the Assistant to one of the most influential men in Terra, she always had everything put together so she could get to work on time, if not sooner. "Lady, would you hold these for when we get to the office. I might pick up some drinks for Mr. Black." she said with an oddly sweet sounding voice. Lady, who just rose from her little bed, yawned but took the planner and paper from her owner without hesitation. Pleasure seemed to just lounge about the place, drifting as he followed Luka.
Luka grabbed the two Capsules form her night stand after she buttoned up her blazer and threw on the matching belt. "Pleasure, be a dear and get into your capsule. People tend to fear you." She said as he placed the capsule on the floor. Pleasure smiled a dark smile but did as she said. After grabbing the capsule and locking her door, she headed off to grab two cups of coffee. She got hers and her bosses just how he likes it. Not only that but she also bought drinks for the Guardians that they had.
Luka walked swiftly to work, getting there only 4 minutes early this time. Of course she had keys to his office. She set the coffee on the desk and arranged some papers. "Lady on the side desk please." She told the sweet Guardian. Lady put her things on a side desk that was in the office. Luka tossed Pleasures capsule and let them have their drinks. Luka took a seat at her desk and crossed her ankles together. She looked over the planner as she softly sipped her coffee.

Gillian "Gil" Black
The silk sheets felt good over his skin. His body heavy after the day before's work. He saw the sun filtering through the curtains, but he ignored it for as long as he could. Finally he stood though, slipping out of the bed, his black pajama pants the only thing he wore. He moves to the window, pulling open the shades. The bright sun hitting him instantly. "Nnn...." he sighed, moving to the bathroom. A hot shower did him good, and a nice trim kept his facial hair in order. He brushed his hair, coming it back so it would stay mostly out of his face. He slipped on his suit, fixing his tie. His shoes perfectly cleaned and shined, he made sure he was always in top appearance.
He finally moved to the door, sliding his hands into the pockets of his pants. His fingers sliding over the two capsules in his pocket. One holding Pegasus, the other holding Arceus. It had been so long since he had gone on his journey, he missed being out on the road and living off the land. It had taken him a long time to build up his company though, and he wouldd not change that for the world at all. He enjoyed still in a way being active in the guardian world, not everyone could be a surger forever or a kid. Many had to grow up, and he was one of them. His eyes closed as he took a deep breath. This was going to be a long day.
He smelled coffee before he even entered the main offices, the curtains already open, even with no one else there. He knew who would be waiting beyond the doors, and for a moment he was not sure he wanted to go in. Once he did it would be back to work and back to the usual. He had a strong urge to go back to his room and get back into bet. A sudden pain hit in the left side of his head. He flinched and moved his hand there. Taking a sharp breath, he tried to relax. He had not told anyone though, but he had been getting these migraines a lot lately, to the point where he was blacking out at times and didn't remember parts of it.
He was sure people would tell him to see a doctor, it was not normal in any ways. He had no time for things like that. He had a buisiness to run and a tournament coming up to sponsor. How would it look if he, the center of much of the surging world was put out of comission. He had no doubt that one of those sneaky underlings like Cain would try to take over everything he had worked so hard to build. A lot of the younger leaders were like that now, let others do the work, then they swoop in and take over. He paused, what was he thinking. Younger ones? He was only twenty seven. A small laugh escaped him, he was begining to sound more like his father.
He pushed open the doors, striding into the office without another thought. "Luka" he says in a strong and stern voice "what is on the agenda today, and you remembered to cancel the four thirty right?" He made his way to his desk, running his hand over the wood of the top of it, before moving to the floor to ceiling windows behind it. His hands clasped behind him, and he looked over Battle City, people bustling about excited. He could see the ruins in the distance and a smile formed on his lips. He felt a connection to those ruins no one would ever understand....

Luka could hear the other on the other side of the doors. She knew he would wish to go back to bed, god knows she did. She got up when he walked in and grabbed her planner and note pad. She had out her planner first as she walked to the window with him. It was such a beautiful sight to behold. She flipped the pages until she found today. "Yes, I canceled it yesterday when you told me. You have some papers on you desk referring to the tournament as well as some zoning contracts for the new office in Rōmu. You have a meeting at 11. Lunch at noon and one more meeting later around 3:30." She said looking at the paper. Her writing was very proper that even if she took a sick day, anyone could read it.
Lady slowly drifted to the window and looked out. Luka looked down with her stern look. "Seems to be more Surgers coming this year. Anything new you have planned? Are you going to compete?" She spoke very calmly as she kept her eyes on the streets below. Her pen was poised just in case he wished to tell her anything. "Should I make a reminder to get more security? We wouldn't want a brawl in the streets. People are getting very competitive now a days."

He listened to every word that came from the woman's mouth. Seems he had a buisy day ahead of himself, that was not unusual. His thoughts shifted to the tournament as she spoke of it. Yes, many were becoming more competitive, that was very much true. At the thought of competing another laugh escaped him. "Me? I'm sure many would love to see me out on the battlefeild once more, but do you truly think that is propper my dear? The board would have a fit" he says crossing to his drsk. He pulled out the large black chair and sat down in it. His elbows rested on the desk, and he lightly intertwined his fingers so they were in front of his mouth. HE often did this when he was thinking.
Indeed, the board would have a feild day with him wanting to compete. They would tell him it was not propper, and what kind of image would it put out. They would complain he was stepping out of like and he was putting the buisiness at risk. His buisiness....his hands tightened a bit. What power did they have other then support to tell him what he could and couldn't do with his own buisiness. Another pain moved through the left side of his head. He flinched, closing his eyes but said nothing for a moment. He breathed a deep breath, the smell of coffee once more reaching him. His eyes slid opened and to his right, the cup still steaming, he slowly reached over and picked it up.
He was a sucker for his morning coffee, couldn't start the day without it. Carmel and Laila, mixed with a hint of hazelnut and no sugar, only creamer. The flavoring made it sweet enough. The smell was delicious, and he slowly brought the cup to his lips. The hot liquid on his tongue was a plesant distraction at the moment. He enjoyed the blunt taste mixed with the sweetness. He had a soft spot for the simpler things in life, and this was one of them. It reminded him of when he used to go visit his father at work, watching him behind his desk working and sipping his coffee....That was all over now though.

Luka smiled at the tiny laugh her boss made. "Indeed they would." She said as she sat in her chair. She picked up her plain black coffee and sipped it. She enjoyed the bitterness of it. It was a swift jolt, allowing her to fully wake up. She set the cup down and looked at Lady with a smile She enjoyed Lady's company more than Pleasure's. Pleasure was more of a terrifying Guardian than anything.
Luka turned her chair so she could see Gill. "Did you sleep well last night? You seem slightly out of it today." She said as she crossed her legs. Luka did notice tiny gestures that Gill did. She had seen him many times make a face as if he had a headache, but she never pushed the issue.

Beads of sweat gathered at her brow and Devin reached a free arm up to wipe it away. Her facial expression was serious, almost angry, and she was panting. She'd been up training since three o'clock. She knew that the more she trained the better she would be, and not many of the other Surgers took it so seriously that they would lose sleep and train each and every day away. She smirked. That was their mistake.
She was crouched in front of Rama in a clearing not too far off from the main town of Romu. They'd been sparring for over an hour; making each other stronger, faster... Still, Devin was no match Rama, not if she fought fair anyway. She used the Pudao in her hand to push herself to her feet. It was a nifty little weapon, her personal favorite. A girl can never be too safe traveling these lands alone. She smirked again, that was the lie she used to assure folks she meant no harm anyway.
The Pudao was tall. The stick of the weapon measured up to Devin's chin and the blade reached up to at least a foot above her head. She glanced up at the blade and took note of the blood that lined the sharp edge. Her and Rama hadn't sparred like that in some time, and though they both enjoyed it, she truly cared for Rama and would never harm him seriously. "Take a break Rama," she commanded. Rama gave her a silent nod and vanished into the shadows of the surrounding forest.
Her voice was average, slightly on the louder side to match her obvious confidence, but with a hint of devious sweetness. She was a trouble maker, and if not for her armor and the Pudao that she carried, she would look rather innocent, matured for her age, but friendly at least. She'd been sweet and friendly once upon a time, but that was a long time ago.
Devin's long dark red hair was pulled back into a braid that up until the last hour, had been quite well done. Now, it was a mess. Loose strands fell around her face and she blew haphazardly at them as she looked down at the two capsules on her wrist. It had been some time since Rama had seen the inside of his. He was her only companion and she hated confining him to such a space. But the second capsule glowed a bright red. Ignatius was inside. The dragon she'd had for such a short period of time.
He was much like her; nearly uncontrollable, wild, unpredictable. She shook her head and frowned. The only way to bond with the beast and control him was to let him out, and do it. Still she felt unsure. "Nash," she said confidently. Her next words were quieter, more uneasy, "Come on out..." A bright flash of red fiery light had Devin shielding her eyes. When it faded, Nash was hovering above her. She frowned, "You sure know how to make an entrance. Show off."
Nash sharply exhaled a black puff of smoke from his nostrils, quite pleased with himself. He pulled his wings in and dropped heavily to the ground, landing on his feet with a thud that Devin could feel all the way up to her nose. She took the sight of him in. He was certainly frightening, but for his size and the fact that he was a dragon; deep red scales, a golden underbelly, two long horns on the top of his head and claws that could tear anything into ribbons in the blink of an eye. Rama was fearful for the fact that he emitted a darkness from his very being. He appeared at times to be the shadows that he so easily molded into. His obvious muscle mass, long fangs and hand-like claws and glowing yellow eyes never reassured anyone either.
Nash took a step towards her, also taking her in. It had been months since he'd been out of his capsule. He was hungry and he was annoyed. Devin stood her ground. He was angry with her, she knew. "I have the power to lock you away in this capsule for the rest of your days," she said firmly, "So you'd better start listening, or back in the cap you go. Understand?"
He was fuming. Devin was sure that at any moment he was just going to torch her. She felt a presence beside her, Rama, he wouldn't let anything happen to her. Nash submitted, taking a step back and lowering his head slightly. Devin wanted to train with him badly, but more than that, she wanted to fly. "Rama, into the capsule," she commanded. She rarely put Rama away, but she wasn't going to leave him behind to get hurt or stolen or worse.
She clapped her hands together one time and gave them a little rub. She was very determined. "I," she started slowly, "Am going, to ride you..." She paused and gauged his reaction. He had none. Okay. She moved around to the side of him. He was taller than she remembered. She needed to figure a way to get easily on his back. Could she use his wing like a ramp, or a ladder or something? Would that hurt him? Only one way to find out.
Devin straightened her half shirt of armor, brushed some loose hair from her face and climbed onto the wing. Instantly Nash shook her off, sending her crashing hard to the ground on her back. As the air returned to her, she stared up at the sky trying to figure out how in the world to get onto her dragon, and how in the world to stay on him while they flew. She closed her eyes and grumbled.

Gil looked up from his cup at the woman. She had asked him if he slept well. Honestly he hadn't. His neck and muscles were sore, he had been plagued again by dark dreams and he was still exhausted. "I slept very well" he says with a slight smile, it was easier then the truth. He slowly stood from his desk again, and moved to the door. "I think I'll take a morning walk...most of the others wont be in for awhile, so I have the time and besides...some fresh air would do me some good." With that he walked out of the office, not waiting for any protest. He walked along the main outer office to the doors that led to the hall. Smaller offices branced out around him, but he paid them no mind at the moment. He soon met with the elevator and pressed the button to go down.
The ding of the elevator arriving brought him out of his thoughts. He couldn't for a moment recall what he had been thinking about, but figured it was probrably unimportant. He stepped inside and pressed the button for the loby. His home was up on the penthouse, the two floors below that were for the other workers, and below that was offices, labs, the cafe and other parts of the main buisiness. He waited with his hands folded behind his back, pondering for a moment if Luka would follow him. He had no doubt that eventually some form of guard would come follow him. Even though he could handle himself and had his guardians with him, some saw him still needing to be protected. Their excuse was of him being the head of such a major company, he was easily a target for many others.
He did not need them to tell him there would be dangers in his line of work, he was used to it every single day. A few had already tried, but they were no match for him. The pain in the left side of his head was back. He slipped out a bottle of painkillers and took to of them dry. Replacing them back in his pocket something shifted, the elevator got a little hazy. He shook his head, and as the elevator reached the lobby he stepped out. His eyes set straight ahead, he walked to the doors and stepped out into the light.

Ronan had a sheepish smile on his face as he rubbed the back of his head, He had tried to hide and escape but was unsuccessful in doing so. Looking around as he rubbed the back of his head even more, trying not to eavesdrop. It was hard for him not to listen in though, so as to distract himself he brought Silas out, and scratched him behind the ear, listening to him growl lowly, it almost sound like he was purring. He chuckled to him self as he scratched underneath his chin.
Hiding behind the monster sized tiger, peeking out from behind him when Lexus spoke to him, blushing as he watched him walk away. He smiled at the male the man had been speaking too, waving to him before he swung up onto Silas' back and urged him to dart forward after the male. "Hey!!! Lexus, sorry about that earlier.....so ummm hop on up and we can get there faster. Just tell Silas where we are going." he said to him as he finally caught up, holding his hand out as he leaned down towards him, hoping that he would take his hand so he could swing him up behind him.

Lexus looked up at the male and at his hand. He smiled, but shook his head. "It's a nice day out today, why be in such a hurry? Lets enjoy ourselves" he says, tilting his head up towards the sun. It felt good on his face, his eyes closed for a moment and he let his body relax. Soon however he knew they should be going, so he opened his eyes once more. He began walking into the forest line, staying in sight so the male could follow him as he pleased. He could feel the energy from his capsuls, his guardians wanted out to. They were itching to get started just as much as he was now. It was hard being cooped up all day with nothing to do, when you much rather would have been out in the world and doing something exciting.
Lexus had always respected his father's wishes when it came to being patient and waiting to become a guardian, but now it was getting harder and harder to. He had agreed sixteen, and now he was just that. However, his father wasn't even here. Should he keep waiting till his father got back? Or would it be ok to start his journey. He could find his father, that was one option. They had a deal and now he was old enough to be of some use he hoped. If that was the case, he would have rather been out there by his father's side rather then in here just sitting around doing nothing. It was boaring, pointless and useless, not only to him but to the team and to Jargas as well. He wanted to be more then just an obligation, and he would talk to Jargas about it tonight.
