((It's alright ^_^))

Alexander clung to the elf the entire time, even screatching when they were in the dark part of the tunnel till he saw the glowing rocks ad he calmed just a little. When they landed, with Dimitri on his back Alexander ended up ontop, his face a mere inch from the elf's. It passed his mind for a fleeting second, wondering what it would be like to kiss the elf. His cheeks darkened at the thought and he quickly got up off Dimitri, sitting on the ground next to him, his knees pulled to his chest and his beet red face burried in his knees. He had been taught he was supposed to like girls since he was a boy, and had even gotten beaten once by his nurse for kissing another boy on the cheek when he had been younger.

Dimitri blushed when he realized how close the princes face was. He felt as if his heart would beat out of his chest. When the other boy climbed off him he tried to push himself up, wincing slightly at the twinge of pain in his back.
"I-I can never get that landing right." Dimitri said, trying to break the silence, "I'm sorry if that scared you though. I guess I'm just so used to coming and going through that tunnel I didn't think anything of it."
He pushed himself up off of the ground and brushed himself off before holding his hand out to help the prince up.

Alexander rocked a little where he sat before he looked up at Dimitri. He took the offered hand, his face still red as he stood. As soon as he was on his own feet he took his hand away as politly as he could while doing it quickly. "I don't know why...I just don't like the dark." He said softly, looking down at the ground, "Are you alright?" He asked softly, "I know I'm small...but I am a little bigger than you." He murmured and shifted his pack to sit a little better on his back. He hoped nothing in it had broken.

"Oh," Dimitri said, hearing he didn't like the dark, "We may have a problem when it's time to go to sleep then, but we'll come to that when we get there. You don't need to worry about my size," Dimitri said with a grin, "That didn't hurt me at all. But what about you? That fall didn't break anything did it?"

Alexander shook his head gently, "N-no, I feel fine." He said softly, his cheeks still dark, the blush refusing to go down or diminish at all. "I...my face is warm." He muttered, still looking down at the ground. "I suppose we should get moving then." He muttered and rubbed at the back of his head.

"Your face is warm?" Dimitri gave him a concerned look, "You're not catching a fever are you?" He stood on his toes a bit to press his forehead against the other boys forehead. "You don't feel like you're running a fever, but you're right we should get going before it gets dark."
Dimitri looked around for a moment to make sure nothing had been dropped before he began to lead the way to his tribe.

Alexander shook his head gently, "N-no." He murmured. He followed Dimitri once the elf started moving again, keeping his eyes on everything around him other than Dimitri. He felt like his chest was going to thump its way out of his chest. He followed the elf quietly, his eyes darting from tree to tree, or to the flowers on the bushes around them.

After a few minutes of walking passed tall deep green trees, they came to a wide dirt path.
"We're almost there!" Dimitri said, "It's just over this hill here."
Once they were over the hill they could see the sun setting over a wide landscape of small and large huts and various homes built into the threes and hills. The long grass blended with the patches of flowers between huts and other buildings. Voices and children's laughter drifted through the air as they came closer and closer to the tribe.

Alexander now didn't have to try and keep his eyes off Dimitri. He looked at the homes, and the people as they came into view. His face finally turned back to its normal color and he smiled lightly, though he certainly felt out of place here. He felt like a clumsy fool, even though for one of his kind he moved rather quietly. He moved closer to Dimitri and looked out at every one through a curtain of hair, his head bowed a little and his white hair surrounding his face.

Dimitri chuckled when he noticed him move closer. 'He's kind of cute,' He thought to himself as he noticed the other elves stopping and staring at them.
"Don't pay any attention to them." He said as he looked back at Alexander, "We'll go straight to the elder to talk to him about what we do next."
Some of the elves began to whisper amongst each other, making Dimitri smile and wave at them.
'They must be as surprised as I was when he said he'd come with me.' Dimitri thought to himself.

Alexander couldn't help it, he lurched forward and took hold of Dimitri's hand, squeezing it tightly. "I can't help it...they're staring at me." He said softly his cheeks brightening again as he realized that he was clinging to Dimitri's hand rather tightly, but he didn't let go, clinging to the others hand.

Dimitri's heart skipped a beat as he blushed bright red when he felt the other boys hand wrap around his own. He gently squeezed Alexanders hand and smile at him. He had to admit, he liked the feeling of the other boy clinging to him and holding his hand.
"They're only staring because we all figured you would put up a fight about coming here with me." He said as he laughed a little, "I think they're more or less just shocked that you're coming with me so willingly."

"Are we almost there?" He asked softly, his own face reddening with the attention he was getting. He supposed it made sence, many of his kind were certainly not known for cooperation, even with other humans. When Dimitri had squeezed his hand back Alexander couldn't help but give his own little smile in return.

"It's just around the corner up here." Dimitri said, leading the way to what looked to be the tallest tree.
There was an oddly shaped door with two round windows on either side or the frame. Dimitri knocked on the door, waiting for a response from inside.
"Our elder's really nice, he can explain everything once we get inside." Dimitri said with a smile as he gently squeezed Alexanders hand again.

Alexander nodded, squeezing back gently. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath as he tried to calm himself down. He used his other hand to pull his hair over his shoulder. The blue gems dangling from his ears and centered on his forehead shifting just a little as he moved.

After a moment the door swung open and a small wrinkle man poked his head out.
"Oh Dimitri!" The man smiled as he looked at both boys, "Come in, come in. I've been expecting you two."
"Hello Elder Edgar." Dimitri said with a boy before leading the way inside, "Sir I'd like to introduce you to Prince Alexander. Prince Alexander, this is Elder Edgar."
"It's nice to meet you your highness." Edgar said as he bowed, "I'm glad you were so willing to come to our land."

Alexander slowly let go of Dimitri's hand and bowed to the Elder like he would have to his father.
"I figured I would like to do something other than stay on the castle grounds." He said softly, his cheeks a light pink as he looked at the ground I front of him. He wasn't very self confident for a human, especially not a Prince.

Dimitri felt a little sad when Alexanders hand left his but he didn't show it as he thought, 'Why do I feel like this? I just met him and planed on kidnapping him. So why do I feel like I have a crush on him?'
"Our race greatly appreciates it." Edgar said with a smile as he lead the boys to a small room with a table and fire place.
"Elder Edgar, could you please explain why the gem is so important?" Dimitri asked, "I don't fully understand it's importance."
"Of course, of course," Edgar said as he made his way to the fire place, "But first would you boys like some tea?"

Alexander perked up at the offer of tea, his head going up as he finally really looked at the Elder. "Yes sir...please." He added at the end, sounding a little sheepish as he asked. He liked tea, and felt it might calm himself down some, he was still dealing the emotional turmoil from earlier when. He had thought about kissing Dimitri.

"My what a nice young man," Edgar said with a smile as he placed a stone looking kettle on an iron stick then put it in the fire place just above the flames, "And you Dimitri?"
"Yes please sir." Dimitri said as he pulled a chair to the table out for Alexander, "I'll get us some cups."
"Thank you Dimi," Edgar said with a nod as he sat down at the table, "Now, about that gem. You see young prince it once belonged to our tribe. The gem was passed down generation from generation to our strongest warriors so they could control all of the elements. Oh, I don't know if you were ever told this but we elves can control different elements. I myself can control water and Dimitri here can control fire. It's really quiet fascinating how our elements choose us. You see-"
"Sir, you're going off topic again." Dimitri said with a smile as he set all three cups in front of them.
"Oh! Yes, you're right, thank you Dimi." Edgar said as he cleared his throat, "Anyways, the one who holds the gem is able to control all of the elements and combine them into one very powerful attack. That's why it always went to our strongest warrior. You see, not too far from here is the land of demons and once in the past they tried to claim our land as theirs and force us into slavery. The only thing that saved our people was that gem and our bravest warrior, Adrien."
Edgar motioned to a large painting on the wall. The man in the painting looked a lot like Dimitri, the only difference being this man had long dark purple hair that was pulled back into a low pony tail and bright blue eyes.
"In that battle Adrien sacrificed himself to save all of us," Edgar continued, "but it wasn't long after that that we were tricked by the human. After word of our fight reached your kingdom, your king of the time suggested an alliance among our people so if it ever happened again we could call on them. Sadly it was a trick, for after welcoming your people into our land they over ran us and took our gem. During the struggle a piece of the gem broke off, that's what is in Dimitri's wrist and it's what allowed him to find you with the gem. All of this happened so long ago, for our people it was merely one generation ago, but for your people I'm sure it's been many many generations since then."
"I know this is a lot to take in at once," Dimitri said as he looked over to Alexander, "but do you have any questions so far?"

Alexander listened to it all and frowned lightly at the end. "Yes...why me?" He asked and looked at the Elder. "Why did it pick me, I'm a human, i'm short lived compared to your kind...and I'm human. Why would an Elfen...weapon, pick me?" He asked and sat in the chair. He supposed there was not going to really be a chance to calm down, if it wasn't one thing then it was another. The Gem chose the strongest warrior, but he was barely not laughable at his fighting skill, and he was a human, not an Elf.

"Honestly I'm not sure," Edgar said as he took the kettle from the fire and began pouring it into the cups, "We've never been in this situation before, so I'm afraid I can't answer that. Although I think it's a sign that you are definitely a unique human."
"If you'd be willing to help us, I can teach you how to control fire." Dimitri said as he handed the cup to Alexander. "We don't want to pressure you though, so it's up to you."
"You know, you don't need to answer us tonight. I'm sure it's been a long day for you." Edgar said, "Why don't you take some time to think about it. We're having a festival tonight and I'm sure Dimitri wouldn't mind escorting you there."
"Oh, uh, y-yea if you want to we can go." Dimitri said as a faint blush crossed his cheeks.

Alexander took the tea gratefully, taking a sip he looked at the Elder then at Dimitri. "What kind of festival?" He asked and blinked as he took another drink. The tea was delicious and he finished his cup rather quickly.

"It's our harvest festival." Dimitri said with a smile after sipping his tee, "Our harvest was so great that we have a lot left over. When that happens we have a festival so we don't waste the extras."
"It's a rather fun event." Edgar said as he poured more tea for Alexander, "I think you boys would have fun. There's sweets and prizes and dancing. Ah the dancing, that's how I met my first love. She was...."
Dimitri chuckled as Edgar started to ramble on about when he was younger. Dimitri glanced over to Alexander and smiled before drinking more of his tea.
"Oh my, I've drifted off topic again." Edgar said after a few minutes.

Alexander held his cup out, "may i have some more tea?" He asked softly, he had rather liked the hot drink, and it had calmed him down some. "It sounds fun, im not much of a dancer though." He said softly and smiled lightly.
