Project H.E.R.O

For sometime, the military has been interested in the supernatural and unexplained. The truth it, that everything you never knew about that goes bump in the night, and can't be explained is real. Many years ago, people with 'abilities' were running wild in the cities and across nations. The military did its' best to cover up these incidents and explain them away as something else. People were afraid and worried for their lives, and it seemed that nothing could stop what was going on.

In a last effort, the military set up a program of operatives with 'abilities' of their own. The project was called H.E.R.O, and the operatives were given the more special assignments, dealing with others like them and things that could not be taken down with normal human force. Things turned from a disaster into a blessing, as the danger level and attack rate fell with the project in line. Everything seemed to be taking a turn for the best, until the call came in to shut the project down.

It seemed the higher ups, thought the members of Project H.E.R.O were getting to powerful, and knew to much inside information. Even though they were on the good side, many feared that that would not last long, especially with the head of the team having growing athority issues. The project was to be scrapped, and since the dangers were mostly out of the way, all that was left, was picking up the scraps. The main question was, what would happen to the members of the team.

They couldn't just be let go and released into society, not with what they knew and could do. The higher ups were afraid of the danger and the potential of it. They saw only one thing to do back then, and that was to terminate the team...permanently. It was one of the biggest coverups in the nation, the origional members of Project H.E.R.O were taken down one after another by the very people they had trusted and served. All but one that is. The leader of the team had a hunch of what was going on.

They took him to carry out the order, but underestimated him. He vanished and no one ever found him. A The information on the project was locked away, and things were shut down and faded out of memory. Years passed, and the world was at peace. It was suspected, that they had not herd the last of the old leader of the group, so to stay on the safe side, the military continued their plans and reasearch into special operatives.

Present day arrives, and the danger level is slowly rising. An attack on a maximum security prison has released many of the old foes the military had fought so hard to capture, and new foes are arising. They fear that the one behind this growing uprising is none other then the old leader of the team of Project H.E.R.O. He is coming for his revenge not only on the militay who took out his friends and tried to him, but on the very people they had always tried to protect.

If this is true, he is the most powerful enemy they have ever faced, and his knowledge and the lengths he is willing to go are far worse then any villan they have faced before. The military has no choice, the call has come in for the reconstruction of Project H.E.R.O, a new team to fight the coming threat, and take out the past leader once and for all, but can they do it? With so much laying on the line? Secrets will be revealed, and with everything being torn apart, can they and the world survive?

POWERS: The members of the military can not have powers. Project H.E.R.O members are alowed abilities specified to one area (if needed ask about this). The leader and ex head of the origional Project H.E.R.O team is allowed to have powers, and I will allow to others of the five total bad guys to have powers, and two without so it's first come first serve there.
