The black haired woman looked at the sun as it started to set and smiled. She had to wait for complete darkness to take the necklace off so it could recharge in the moonlight. But waiting was not new to her since the clubs and bars did not get hopping until later on in the evening. Getting someone to be her prey was the easy part, especially with the figure she inherited from her mother. Her prey were easily lured in by her body but only satisfied her till the early morning before she had to find another place to sleep. Looking to the setting sun, the black haired woman decided to get some human food to sedate her lust until she found her prey. Walking into a small cafe, she took a seat in the back away from the sun, seeing as she felt more comfortable in the darkness. A waiter came and took her order before leaving her seeing as she was already getting looks from the people in the cafe.

Byren Desmond

A knock came to the door, and for a momment, no answer came from beyond. "Lord Byren?" a voice from beyond it spoke slowly and timidly. For a moment, nothing moved in the pitch black room, then slowly the covers on the bed shifted. "What..." he spoke slowly but clearly, a definite chill to his voice. The other outside the door hesitated. "It..it's getting late....lunch has been served if you are hungry, and..your meeting is today" it says. With a slight sigh, a hand moves out of the mass on the bed, pulling them off of the male who laid inside. He slipped his legs over the side of the bed, and pushed himself up in a sitting position. His head still lowered, his hair hung in his face. For another moment, he did not move at all. The darkness of the room was so inviting and comforting. He could hear the voices of it calling his name. He told no one about the actual voices of the darkness and shadows anymore, it was something he had come to understand long ago. Tell someone you hear voices, and it dosn't always go over to well.

He slid his hand up, his fingers moving through his black hair. Glancing around the room, it would have been pitch black to anyone else. For him however, seeing in darkness was no trouble at all. He could see the large room effortlessly. The bay window and the other windows covered by black curtains that kept the light out. The door that led to a huge walk in closet, the door to the large bath, and the main doors of the room. He could pick out the desk sitting in front of the bay window, the books and papers across it, and the candles half burned by the use of them. On either side, large book cases to the cielings stood filled with books on just about anything. There was a library in the mannor, holding more knowledge, but he often stayed in his room to read. He could pick out various other parts of the room, such as the dresser and the large telivision, that allowed him not only to see TV, but the security cameras around the mannor as well.

The bed itself was on a wall all its' own in the middle across from the TV on a sort of raised platform that stepped down to the floor. The floors were marbel, and looking up he could see the large chandileres hanging for light. He rarely used them, candle light did just fine for him. Sitting his feet on the floor, the coldness of the marbel was a contrast against the warm covers of the bed. He ignored his slippers, as he stood from the bed itself. "I will be out soon enough...you may go" he says, dismissing the servant at the door. "As you wish Lord Byren" the voice says, and moves away from the door. Focusing through the shadows around him, he could see the form of the maid walking away from the door and leaving him to his late waking. He stepped down the stairs of the platform his bed was on. Counting them as he went, he was familiar with the actual platform itself, and then the two steps before finally reaching the actual ground itself.

There was no digital clock, but a large victorian style wall clock hung on the wall. Looking at it, he groaned lightly, and made his way over to the bathroom door. He opened the door, and made his way around to light the candles that rested on the black marbel counters and the contrasting white marbel floor or the tub. The warm glow casted dancing shadows across the room. The bathroom had black curtains as well, keeping the light out. He never opened them unless he had company, and it had been awhile since he had brought anyone into his room. The last was a vampire woman he had let get slightly close to him. He had thought often about opening up more, and letting her inside, but unfortunately...she was dead now. He knew who was responsible, a hunter who was out to get to the leader of the Order of Shadows. He had been forced to make a choice, and he had closen to protect the Order.

She had not been angry at him for it, for it had happened right in front of him. She had actually smiled at him before...His hand slipped as he was lighting the last candle. The white wax cilinder rolled across the floor away from him. Sighing, he tossed the lighter onto the counter. A shadow like hand rose up from the ground, picking up the candle. Out of the floor, a man rose. He had no features or anything, his body completely black, made of the darkness Byren was so fond of. Moving over to Byren, the shadow man sat the candle back in its place. "Not happy today master?" the voice came from the shadow man, even though he had no mouth. Byren had been working with his ability to animate shadows for years, giving them a form of life and conciousness all their own. This one in particular was a friend to him, and sort of butler if one wanted to call him that.

He had been with him since he was young, the one he had always been talking to without anyone knowing. In ways, they had grown up together, as most people had their imaginary friends as a child, he had had a shadow one. He glanced over at the shadow man in the flickering candle light. His hand raised, lightly moving over his cheek. His body moving a bit closer, he allowed the shadow man to wrap his arms around his waist. The cool sensation he felt, even through his clothes was refressing. It was common with darkness, it seemed to suck the warmth out of whatever it touched. "Xero....I had the dream again..." he kept his voice in a slight whisper, but with the shadow man, the cold edge faded away, and became almost affectionate. The shadow man known as Xero tilted his face down, as if looking at Byren.

"You have been having it more often lately....perhaps you should talk to Dr. Feiro" he says. Dr. Feiro was a man that would give people the creeps. He was an old man, with pale skin, and hair like whit straw. He always wore a black hat, and his eyes were a cold and icy blue. He was a vampire, who had been around for hundreds of years, but time had not been kind to him. For years, he had been taking care of the Desmond household. Byren had never quite liked him, there was always something a bit off about the man, and he always seemed more interested in studying Byren rather then helping him. "No....I will deal with it myself before I go to him about this" he pulled away from the shadow's body, and moved to the head of the tub, turning on the water. Xero moved over to him, seeming to almost glide across the floor more then walk like a notmal person. He was taller then Byren, who was a tad over six feet almost himself.

He was about several feet, and looking down at him, he brushed a bit of Byren's hair out of his eyes. "I will look into it my master...try to relax with your bath..if you need me I am just a call away" he leaned down, and lightly placed the lower part of his featurless face on Byren's forhead. It was his form of a kiss, before he walked towards the door, sliding into the floor and disappearing before he even made it. Byren undressed, and allowed the hot water to wash away his troubles for the next half an hour. He would have rather stayed longer, but he figured he would have to eat and get to the meeting soon enough anyways. He sighed, and drained the bathroom. Moving back to the door, he snapped, and a breeze of a black mist ran through the bathroom, blowing out the candles. He made his way to the closet, and looked around it in the darkess for what he would wear for the day.

He decided on a pair of black pants, and a black silk dress shirt. He pulled on a black vest as well, and fixed a black tie into place. His wardrobe mostly consisted of black, mostly, as well as blue and violet. He prefered darker clothes, and darker things. Moving to the dresser, he pulled on a pair of socks, before tying his well shined shoes on. Finally ready, he moved to the door, and opened it. For a moment, he flinched at the sight of the lights inside of the hall. He made his way down it, and down to the grand staircasses. The maids and butlers stood in a line, having herd him coming. Some of them looked tense, others afraid. A few of them were human, just normal people who had been with the house for awhile. The house was lit well, but always seemed to have a darkness about it, especially wherever Byren went. The workers kept their eyes down as he made his way down the steps and to the door of the dininghall.

The dining table was long enough to sit a hundred, made of a dark cherry wood. A blood red runner moved down the center of it, and vases of roses and candlesticks sat along it. The table was always kept set with fine china plates, and silver dishwear, even the crystal glasses, even though Byren rarely ever had people to eat with, unless it was buisiness. He moved to the head of the table, a fireplace on the wall behind him ablaze. Above the mantle, a painting of Lord Desmond hung. He glanced up at the man's eyes and sighed. They were the same as always, and with the painting there, it felt like he was watching Byren in this room. He ignored the feeling, and sat in the large chair. He crossed his legs, as a maid brought out breakfast. It was the works as usual, choices of eggs and pancakes, or various meats and such. He was not to hungry that morning, so he stayed with a bit of fruit and toast.

He managed to get some orange juice down as well, but not much, before pushing his chair away from the table. The maids moved forward bowing. They began clearing things away, as he moved into the parlor where the men were waiting for their meeting. There was Judd, a seemingly normal guy, but he was a werewolf, and a powerful one. Victoria was a demoness, and she leaned against the fireplace mantle, sipping from a glass of wine. Leone, a vampire, sat on the couch and looked up as Byren entered the room. "It's about time, keeping us waiting" he spoke in a higher tone then Byren knew he felt. "Calm down Leone, it's not like you have anything better to do" Victoria smiled, speaking with a heavy russian accent. She moved over to Byren, her eyes moving over his form as her smile stayed on her lips. She slid a long gloved hand over his shoulder.

"Now then, how did you sleep my dear...you look pale" she looked into his eyes. He shrugged her off, and moved to the desk in the room, sitting behind the desk itself. "We are not here for that, we are here for buisiness" he opened a leather bound book before him. Victoria took her seat next to Leone, and kept her smile. "Now then, I understand you have some issues about your land" he says, looking at Judd. The wolf growled slightly and nodded "stupid hunters still trying to get at my pack." He sighed, and nodded "I will look into it, if there is trouble, we will handle it." Judd smiled, "so we can kill them I hope" he laughed. The guy was always so quick to want to kill things, but that came in handy at times. Victoria rolled her emerald eyes, "always so violent and brash." "I don't see you voulenteering little lady" he laughed.

"Enough" Byren spoke with his cold tone once more, picking up his pen. The meeting continued, though the trival talk did as well. He managed to put up with it, before finally saying enough. He stood and closed the book, saying goodbye to his guests, and excusing himself. He needed to get out of the house. A few opposed to it, not wanting him to go out on his own, but he ignored their fears. He was more then capable of handling himself. He grabbed his coat, and walked out to his car that was ready in the driveway. Driving out the gate, he drove into town and made his way to a small cafe where he usually went to get a good cup of tea and sometimes a slice of cheesecake. It was a bit of a passion of his, even though none would ever guess it. Getting out of the car, he connected himself immediatly to the shadows around him.

He could sense something inside, and stepping inside, he noticed that a woman sat alone inside, but was commanding a lot of attention. She was not human, she couldn't be. He gave nothing away, and moved to the counter. He ordered a cup of raspberry tea, and a slice of cheesecake, paying for it as he was given his order. He turned his back to the girl as he moved to the opposite side of the cafe and took his usual seat by a window. He hated the sunlight coming in, but it was more peaceful then being in the major hub area. There was more attention over where the female was, so he was better off staying where he was, and far away from her for now. He kept his senses allert however, through his shadow connections, but for now, he played it calm and collected.

Smokey amethyst eyes glanced at the tall male beside her. Kerri wore a slight pout at having been told to stay behind with Lulu. Lulu wasn’t much fun or so she thought due to him always being quiet. “I don’t either,” she replied to the male in a slight harsh tone. Her eyes shifted to the direction in which Val had disappeared. Why did he always get to have all the fun? She wanted to toy with the human too.

The breeze whispered to her, telling her of the two hunters that were snooping around the junkyard. Val wasn’t going to be pleased by this development. A serious look appeared on her face. “It seems like we don’t have to just sit back and do nothing. There are intruders in the junkyard. They appear to be hunters,” she spoke, not looking at Lulu. The dark angel faded away into the shadows. She moved swiftly through the shadows and it didn’t take her long to locate one of the hunters (Sayoshi). She would see to it that he would go no further.

Valamond had swiftly gone from the hunted to hunter. He had moved, swiftly and easily across a pile of junk and had managed to locate the other. Taller and older than the first and none the wiser the young boy he had been stalking had gone up and around and was slowly coming up behind, face split by ivory teeth. He stopped at the sound of crashing metal, looking up and behind at the fact a good chunk of the beautiful metal mountains were falling apart, destroyed by the thrashing arm of a machine he couldn't see. He growled audibly, the sound low and vibrating and shaking the junk around him. He turned, giving the other hunter a long stare, licking his lips as he thought over what he should do with him. The shifting shadows and the fact he smelt burning dark meant that sweet little Kerri wasn't far off. Fine. She could have him. He had a stupid fat human to punish and soul (no matter how nasty and sludge tasting) to eat.

He went off at a trot back the way he had come, eyes glowing a nasty orange behind his shades. Agitation was making its way into his once jovial mood. Too many things were falling apart, the junkyard quite literally. He stopped as the slumped body came into view, eyeing it coldly. He could still smell the cherry-salt scent of the other nearby, but he was at a far enough away distance. Maybe he could get in and out without notice. He hoped so. Might send unease through the other, make him nervous. He wanted that. So he moved, crouched low as he stopped near Billy's unconscious body, looking him over with a mildly amused grin eyes flashing dangerously as he tenderly patted Billy's cheek, attempting to wake him up. He'd love to hear him scream first. But maybe he should just do it now and be done with it.

Lulu hardly glanced at Kerri as she spoke. It was fine, he probably wouldn't have been interested in anything she might have to 'catch up' on anyway. Once again his nose was wrinkling in disdain or disgust at some scent that found it's way to it. Then Kerri was speaking again and he just gave her a look that basically said 'so?' as she vanished into the shadows. Lulu was confident that Val could more than handle whoever was intruding, though mostly he didn't care. If they took Valamond out, which he doubted they could, he would be free of this service.

Lulucian began to turn, to leave the junkyard, with Kerri's help Valamond would almost definitely make it out of this alive. He stopped rather suddenly, loud noises echoed through the junkyard and he whipped his head around just in time to see that wildly swinging arm knock another pile of junk over. He could stop it, but he would need to be closer to it, and he wasn't even sure if wanted to stop that wildly swinging thing. It wasn't hurting him and it just might make things more difficult for Val and Kerri, of course he knew it most likely wouldn't but that didn't mean he couldn't hope.

Slowly, almost languidly, Lulu made his way towards the controls that controlled that arm. He moved at an easy pace, as if he had all the time in the world. He licked his lips slightly, he was getting hungry. Lulu hesitated in his journey to those controls, thinking of just abandoning this place altogether and going to find someone with a delicious heart to eat. He wondered, but didn't really care, if Valamond would get angry at him if he just up and left.

As he stood there deliberating, trying to make a decision, that control arm swung and sent a pile of junk skittering across the air and yard. Far to close for Lulu's comfort. He was very nearly squished beneath large debris made up mostly of completely useless junk and some cars. He had jumped back a few feet and hopped several more feet backwards to avoid such a fate. Lulu did not want to be a demon pancake. His nose wrinkled in disdain and he dusted himself off a bit.

His decision had been made for him, and he started once again towards the tower that held the controls for that wildly swinging arm.

Even sitting in the darker corner of the room, Mariki felt her temper flaring as she felt the humans' eyes scanning her curvacious body. The succubus was always proud of her curves but at times like this, hated them most of all. As her waiter stumbled with his words a bit and looked at her with a forced smile, not even looking at his face she knew he was horny as hell. The black haired woman growled a bit before pulling out a twenty, stolen from one of her victims, to pay for her food and shooing the horny man away. With all the stares on her, Mariki knew she had to eat quickly before one of the men got the idea to hit on her. While eating, she looked up feeling the presence of a shadow lancer which made her smile a bit. Her eyes went to the man as he stood by waiting at the counter and as he walked to a seat away from her. Anger seemed to spread across her face as she finished her food and chugged her beverage. Letting a bit of her anger go, she slammed down her drink glass, breaking it.

The sudden action made several of the men in the bar jump and scowled at her hand as the glass fell from her hand. A small scratch on her palm as she stood and slid a five to the bartender. "For the glass." Mariki said softly as she started to walk out the cafe but glanced at the shadow lancer with a slight smile.

Ashley was standing back from the controls now as the circuit board went haywire. Little lights were flashing, buttons were sparking, the arm was still destroying the yard and outside the gate was opening and closing. She had a hand on her chin and was studying the board. A loud clicking sound echoed through the room and a large light on top of the tower came on. It was huge and bright, similar to a lighthouse light. It too randomly scanned the junk yard on a fritz, surely blinding anyone it shined on. Oops.

By this time in the day, Ashley's messy bun was a notch or two above messy. Wavy hairs strayed around her face and out of the bun. Her silky short sleeved blue button up shirt was missing a button and her black dress pants had a layer of light brown powdery dirt around the bottoms from the junk yard. She was thanking the heavens that she wore flats today.

She'd closed her eyes and was rubbing her temples. Okay. She'd just ram the gate. She leaned over the panel to look out the window at the tow truck and noticed that the gate had in fact opened and was jammed just wide enough to fit the truck through. But there was someone there by Billy! Crap!

Ashley turned on her heel and took off out the door and down the short hall where she'd descend the stairs. How was she going to explain having Billy on the back of that truck, that wasn't hers, to whoever that was down there. Crap crap crap!

Kerri jumped back with a hiss as a pile of junk crashed right in front of her. She glared at the wildly swinging mechanical arm. “What a nuisance,” she growled under her breath. Once again she faded into the ever growing shadows. Her prey had moved as well due to the falling debris. From within the shadows she danced around the flying pieces of metal and other debris that rained down as the mechanical arm swung about. It didn’t take the angel long to spot her prey once more. Ri moved to the opposite side of the junk pile closets to the hunter, Sayoshi. A small smile was on her face as she emerged from the shadows. Now, how to take care of this hunter?

(Fwehehe I've been so out of it I forgot Billy was on that damnable truck! Curse these rolling bouts of depression and young adult angst! I need to get it together...let's just say Val climbed up on the truck bed. I'm too lazy to go back and fix my posts.)

Valamond cast quick glances up toward the control tower, eyeing the erratic gate as it began to clank up and down and with quite an annoying pratter. Lulu had been climbing up those stairs when he got here, so he doubted his pouty little servant even knew he was here. Just as well he would have had the other demon distract that woman anyway. He continued to gently pap the piggish man's face, hoping for the him to wake up. With an exaggerated sigh Valamond gave up, instead gently running his fingers along his cheek almost lovingly. "Ooooh Billy," he cooed, gently running his fingers along greasy skin, eyes beginning to glow and orange-gold color and glittering almost lovingly.

Until the demon lord's hand reached the thick neck. The strong pulse beneath was sending shivers down his spine, unable to contain a small sliver of drool that snaked out of his lips and down his chin. With a wide grin and a sickening wet crunch Valamond sunk his fingers into tender flesh, staining his hand with sanguine and causing the sticky substance to run down the metal of the truck bed. The man's life was over in a few moments as he drowned in his own blood, filling the air with an irony copper stink. Val was a tad disappointed he didn't wake, but he simply shrugged and removed his now bright red hand with wet sliding noise. With a deep inhale his eyes shone brighter, pulling a light blue wisp from out of the piggish man's fat bloody lips and into the demon's own. With a thick swallow Valamond stood, shaking his hand as he took a long look at the chaos behind him, chuckling lowly as he jumped off the truck bed with a whump.

Lulu was going up those stairs, and sure enough he had no idea that Valamond was only a short distance from him with Billy's body. Not that it would have mattered to Lulu, the stoic demon would have made it his mission to turn that wildly swinging arm off anyway. It was annoying and potentially dangerous, if one wasn't paying attention and got themselves pummeled and squished by debris. Lulu ascended the stairs quickly, and came to a sudden stop. Very nearly bowling the human woman over. Gunmetal eyes blinked as Lulu looked Ashley over, he wrinkled his nose in disdain. So then she had started all this chaos. At least that was the conclusion he came to. Lulu frowned deeply at her and stood in the middle of the stair, effectively blocking her path. Briefly he wondered what Valamond would do to this woman, if anything. Or would Val become angry at him if he tried to eat this human's heart? Lulu was half tempted to do it, just to see if it would anger his master.

Ashley was thinking up a hundred and one excuses as to why she had an unconscious Billy strapped to the back of his own truck when she looked up in time to see a man coming quickly up the stairs. She grabbed onto the stair railing to help stop herself but instinctively closed her eyes and readied for impact anyway. When nothing happened, she opened her eyes.

"Uhhhh..." she'd meant to say a lot more. Like what she was doing here, and how she hadn't been the one to press all those buttons, and how she wasn't the one to strap Billy to that truck, but all that came out was 'uhhh'. That happened to her sometimes when she was nervous, like right now. This guy must be the tower control guy. Though, he didn't look like a tower control guy. Then again, Ashley wasn't sure she'd seen a lot of tower control operators, or whatever they were called.

"Um," she said again. Great, she'd been causing trouble since she got here and now she looked like a moron, too. "I didn't do it," she started, "wrong place wrong time, you know how it goes." She gave him a nervous smile. "I was just in the area, got lost really. It's crazy how one wrong turn ends you up in a junkyard." She cleared her throat. God she was an idiot. "I was just leaving" she said, with her back to the wall as she inched by him.

Lulu watched her, unblinking as she attempted to inch past him. He decided he didn't want to eat her heart. It was clear from his expression that he didn't believe her. "I see." The subtle power slipped off his words gently, dissipating into the air. He hadn't commanded her or anything, and slowly he stepped to the side to let her pass. He watched her go for a few moments, then hurried up the rest of the stairs, through the short hall and into the control room.

Lulu stared at the controls and sighed. Almost glaring at them. "Stop." He spoke the word almost gently, but power rolled off of those words. Not subtle the way it was when he spoke normally, but strongly. The air in front of his face seemed to shimmer, as if the power had vibrated it. As if the words had been tangible cutting through the air. His will was exerted into the words and directed at the thing he had commanded. Though an inanimate object, it worked. It was easy to over power things that didn't have a will. The lights flickered, then went off. The controls went dead and after a few seconds the arm stopped moving. As if someone had completely cut the power.

In a sense, Lulu had. The controls would work properly again when someone came to push on the buttons or pull the levers. But at least for now he didn't have to worry about getting killed by junkyard debris. He turned and began to make his way back down at a very leisurely pace.

When Ashley was past the man, she took off down the stairs again towards the truck. She pushed through the door and seconds later there was silence. The control arm, the light, and everything else that had been going haywire stopped. She glanced over her shoulder at the tower as she ran. So that guy was the tower control, man, or whatever.

In her rush to the truck while looking over her shoulder, she may have passed the young boy, though it isn't for certain. She reached the driver side door and wrenched it open, then stopped. There had been an awful lot of red over the back of the tow truck that she was almost positive hadn't been there before.

Keeping close to the side of the truck, Ashley inched her way towards the back. As she came around the cabin she immediately recognized the red as blood. Then she saw it, Billy's body in all of it's murdered glory. She gasped and put her hand over her mouth. Her face went white, she immediately broke out in sweat and then it happened. She threw up.

She reached out to steady herself on the truck and stuck her hand in blood. She brought the hand up to her face, shakey. Her eyes rolled back in her head and she hit the ground hard. She did live in the bad part of town, and sirens were almost an every night in her area, but she'd never seen a body look like that, and she'd never stuck her hand in a dead guy's blood.

After almost being murdered by a psycho, ruining the junkyard, and trying to steal a car all in one hour, the dead guy just proved too much for Ashley to handle. The last thing Ashley would remember thinking was how easy she'd have it working at the button factory. She'd bet no one ever ended up sticking their hand in dead guys blood there...

The woman from earlier rushed past the now sated Valamond, the demon lord cocking a pale eyebrow as the woman rushed to her truck. Not even so much as a 'hello' how rude. His face had drooped into a mockingly hurt one at this, but soon twisted into grinning glee as he smelt her acidic vomit and heard the thick bump as she passed out. He made his way around the truck, stopping as he saw her in a twisted pile on the ground, disgusting half-digested stomach contents beginning to expand into her hair and blood beginning to drip onto her pale face.

He couldn't suppress his chuckle at the sight, making his way slowly over to her with a large amused grin. "What you've never seen a slaughtered pig before?" he asked, knowing full well she couldn't answer. It was a very silly sight in front of him and he was beginning to entertain the idea of eating her now. Alive. Her screams would be exquisite and wonderful and he bet her blood tasted as sweet as he hoped it did. But no, he couldn't munch he now, not with a pair of hunters wandering around. Maybe if he got rid of them he could entertain the thought of picking her bones out of his teeth when he was done with her.

When Lulu exited the tower, Valamond was already leering over Ashley's prone form. The scents of blood and vomit came to his nose and Lulu shuddered. The scent of blood was a welcome scent, but the scent of bile was not so very welcome. Lulu was shaking his head as he came up to stand near Valamond, trying not to breathe too deeply. He stared down at the prone human, licking his lips slightly. "Are we done here yet?" Lulu sounded bored and disinterested, mostly he was getting hungry. Well, he wasn't really hungry, he was in the mood to pull out a human's heart while that human watched. A sigh left those lips and he watched Valamond. Lulu was not very concerned with the hunters that were lurking about, he was just concerned with finishing their business here and leaving.

Sayoshi paused within the yard. The stench of the very things he was taught to take down was deffinetly there. He wondered for a moment how Suke was, though he was sure the boy could handle things on his own. He glanced around for a moment, taking in the sights and the sounds. He noticed the crane beging to go crazy, and moved out of the way as a tower of junk fell over to his left. This place was more crazy then he thought. It was also probrably not a good idea to stay around on his own for to long. Turning, he made his way towards the office in search of Suke. He was supposed to be keeping an eye on him, due to the nature of Suke himself. Being bitten long ago, people were afraid that the venom had done more to him then what was on the surface. Sayoshi was very much aware of the differences in Suke then other hunters, but he had become closer to the male in his time here. He knew there was more to him then all of this. If the ones in charge found out however, they would not take the time to look. He knew Suke would probrably be taken in on the grounds of being a danger, or if someone evil found out about him, especially a vampire lord, things might get a bit more hectic. He sighed, and placed his hand on one of his pistols inside of his coat to calm himself. Now was not the time to be getting ahead of himself or distracted, he needed to focus.

Glancing as the girl left, Byren raised an eyebrow. She was an odd one, and he figured she had been doing this on purpose. If she was trying to get his attention, she had a strange way of doing so. He pulled out his phone, calling a contact, and asking him to look up what he could find on said girl .She was not human, so the question remained on what she was, and what she was doing in town. He shared this territory with a lot of odd people who had their own works and buisinesses and such, but most of the time nothing went down without his people and in the end him knowing about it. She had to pop up somewhere to where someone would have seen or herd something about her. All he had to do now, was wait and see. He sat back, taking a sip of his drink. His mind wandering to the task at hand. It seemed a lot of the supernatural side of this town was becoming more and more active. He was curious to find out why. Perhaps they shared the vision of the order, but that might not always be the case. He was very well aware of the things that ran through many people, creature, and exspecially bad guy's heads. They were always looking out for themselves or to have a good time, or just to create mischif. They were always so simple minded, well it was time the collection of thoughts and ideas, became one. He smiles, the thoughts falling into place.

As she walked out onto the street and looked back at the man through the window. Being who she was it was easy to move around the city at night without anyone seeing her. Her victims were either dead or they were too embarrassed so they never remembered her face. There were some perks to having a vampire as a sperm donor and being a "interesting mix" as others of either kind called her. She continued to walk out in the darkening city and looked around for a different place to chill out until later when the city really came alive. It would be a waste for her just to find someplace dark to hide for just a few hours but what else was there? The movies were crap these days and filled with kids or people making out. And she did not like the malls around here, they were too crowded for her tastes. Good thing most were closed by the time she woke up. Sighing, the black haired woman decided to go to the park and wait for the sun to finish setting. Who knows, maybe someone interesting would find her.

Valamond turned, snorting at Lulucian's disinterested tone. "Do you ever have fun?" he asked, turning and spreading his arms dramatically, ignoring the soft and sticky drips cascading from his right hand. "I mean seriously you look like an imp crawled up your waste-chute and started laying eggs..." His grin had vanished, genuine disgust on his face as he looked his servant over, having returned his clean hand to his pocket. He absently shook the other, droplets splattering across the ground and the young woman when he turned. "Grab a snack or something Piggy's still fresh..."

He cast a slight glance back at the now quiet junkyard, eyeing it disdainfully. He pulled the glasses he kept out of his pocket and placed them gently on his face. He turned back to the young woman, leaning down and wiping his hand clean on her shirt. "Yeah I guess we're done here," he muttered, looking up at his Lulu with a slight grin. "Kerri can take care of herself. Never known a hunter to ever get the drop on her." He cast another glance back at the mountains of junk, licking his lips slightly. He didn't even mention the fact the one he had seen smelt dusty and acidic in all the right ways. Smelt of a creature that was practically extinct and he chuckled to himself at the thought. Oh he hoped that hunter would stay around a while. He might actually be kind of fun. With a shrug he moved, heading out the now open junkyard gate into the empty and quiet street, a smile plastered on his face as he began to make his way down the street.

Lulu didn't say anything in response to Valamond's words. He did have fun, sometimes. Ripping out a human's heart while that human was alive and watching was rather fun, usually. Lulu just watched his master until the other began to leave the junkyard. He stared after Val for a moment, then turned to the dead man. It would be fun if he were still alive, oh well. Lulu thrust his hand into the man's chest with force. Enough force to rip through the flesh and break bones, he grasped Billy's heart and yanked it out of the hole in the chest. Within moments he devoured the heart and began licking the blood from his hand.

It took a few minutes to get all the blood from his hand, and he looked down at the unconscious woman, then shrugged. Lulu turned and made his way out of the junkyard, almost hurrying to catch up with Val. When he did catch up to the other he fell into step beside him, glancing down at him for a moment. "I have fun sometimes." Lulu wasn't sure why, but for some reason he felt the need to reassure his master that he did, in fact, have fun sometimes.

Kerri kept an eye on the hunter as she summoned a dark mist to surround the man. Her whispers carried on the breeze, “Looking for something handsome? You're in the wrong place to find what you want.” The mist seemed to form itself into a shadow right before the Sayoshi's eyes. It formed into the figure of an old vampire. One that most hunters would be familiar with. “To find what you want you must go to the city to the north,” her whispers were soft, sweet and persuasive. Just as the form had appeared it faded away, the mist clearing.

Sayoshi raised an eyebrow. Was that supposed to be a warning or intimidating? He looked around a bit, his body tensing slightly. Illusions and the powers of persuasion were powerful with vampires and such, but there were a few holes in this one. The logical idea of the old vampire being in a simple junk yard was a bit hard to believe. Many older vampiers he had come across were a bit of neat freaks, and would not be caught dead in a place like this. He also knew that there was no way Suke would be in any town to the north, the two had come in her together, and unless the male had gained super powers, he would still be in the relative area. Whoever this was, was not very good at trying to fool him. Sayoshi's mind was very analytical, seeking out the details and tinyest flaws. He crossed his arms slightly and raised an eyebrow. "Whoever you are, come out" he says. He looks at the towers of cars that were nearby. "Unless you prefer to just leave now.." he shrugs, not really caring either way.

Valamond hopped down the street, humming as he went. He had taken a few turns after he had left Lulu to eat the fat man's heart, leading him toward the outskirts of town where the buildings weren't as high or as well taken care of. Lulu still managed to find him somehow causing a smile to spread across the old demon's young face. He let out a cackle at the other's pouty assurance, the sound lilting and high and amused more than should be allowed. "I personally don't think finding a corner to pout in counts as fun, dear," he chuckled, turning to eye him through the tinted lens of the glasses. He knew for a fact that Lulu had fun when he tore out a squirming mortal's heart. He had seen it on more than one occasion for him not to know of the twisted glee that sprouted in those eyes. It was a delicious thing to behold sometimes.

He lifted his head to the sky, eyeing it with a twinge of sprouting boredom as he removed his glasses, hooking them over the collar of his shirt beneath his jacket. It would probably be best for him to call it a night. While the thought of stopping the fun he had experienced today aggravated him, he still had a cover to maintain and a pair of aggravating hunters to mull over. Besides the creatures of the night would be out and about soon and he had no intention of encountering any of them, mortal and non-human alike. Aggravating and foul-smelling the lot of them.

Lungs burning as he heaved for breath, Scout peered around the corner of the rusty metal chute protruding from the rooftop. Those freaks were chasing him again, the third night that week. It seemed like they were quite determined to catch him after all, which was both interesting and disconcerting. Who would be chasing him? He never gambled or anything, so it couldn't be because of money.

The sudden sound of a boot on concrete dashed all of those thoughts to pieces, however. Quiet as they may have been, they were still being way too noisy to his hyperobservance. So far, he had only ever seen two of them, which implied that they worked in pairs, though it wasn't a concrete fact. In an attempt to distract the two of them, he grabbed a small piece of tile and hurled it away, hoping to make a noise to draw their attention. Unfortunately, the noise created was from the tile striking the metal chute he was currently sitting behind.

Muttering under his breath as the two hunters began running at him, Scout got to his feet and sprinted to the edge of the roof, his body begging him to stop. Instead, he grabbed a hold of the ledge and vaulted over it, aiming his body for the awning that he knew was below him. Unfortunately, the old, tattered piece of cloth was too weak to hold him completely, much less bounce him off like in the cartoons. Instead, he simply went through it, landing on the concrete below with a thud.

The expressions of the people nearby were quite hysterical, but the bounty hunters had only spent a few minutes cursing atop the roof before they began to make their way down. Hopefully, however, he would be able to blend in and get away, again. A street vendor nearby was easily haggled with to get a different jacket, a ball cap, and a pair of cheezy sunglasses for a couple of dollars before the hunters burst from the door at the bottom of the building and began scanning the crowd for him.

An orange suddenly flew from the mob of people at the tall guy on the left, enraging the two of them and sending them chasing after the source, whom they probably considered to be Scout. But the joke was on them. The real culprit had been a few orphans hired with a dollar apiece to throw the fruit and run while he walked the other way. Really, he could have easily gotten away at that point without their help, but he hadn't been able to pass up the opportunity. He had heard there was a good bar in town, so he was hoping to get a drink or two before he left town.

"Some corners can be very fun, it just depends on the corner." That was Lulu's rather serious reply, at least he looked very serious and sounded serious as he said the words. He didn't joke much, so the demon probably was being serious. Lulu was watching Valamond though, observing the other almost carefully, he did that from time to time. As if trying to gauge what kind of mood the other was in, he shook his head slightly. Lulu was feeling rather restless, he wanted to do something. Anything really. He wasn't sure where this feeling of restlessness was coming from, but it was growing stronger by each passing second.

Gunmetal eyes remained on Val a few moments longer. Lulu wanted to do something dangerous. "Release me from your service, Valamond." Power rolled off of Lulu's words, flowed out of his mouth from his voice and he sent his will out with those words. It was useless, he knew. Valamond was the only creature he had ever encountered who his power was completely ineffective on. Still, as obedient as Lulu was, and as much as he hated taking one's will away, he would try to gain his freedom by any means possible. His voice was soft and low as it always was, but dripping with power. Useless power when directed at Valamond.

Lulu knew it wouldn't work, he just wanted to see how irritated or angry Val might get at him for doing such a thing. He had felt restless and being restless often made Lulucian feel reckless, which led to him trying to see how far he could push Val before the other got violent with him.

Few minutes had passed since Val and Lulu's departure and already sirens wailed in the distance. A man who had come to trade in some metal for cash had walked in just as Val and Lulu turned the corner out of sight. He found Ashley on the ground and Billy on the truck. He'd assumed them both dead.

Another few minutes passed by as an ambulance, a firetruck and a handful of police cars all found their spots at the street. Crime scene tape was being stretched around the compound and Ashley could hear a loud roar of sound in her head. Like a jet taking off right over her, but there was no sound like that around them.

A paramedic held one of her eyes open shining a small light into it, and then the other. "She's alive," she heard the woman say over the roar. She sounded so far away. Someone was shaking her head a little, "She doesn't appear to have a concussion, but if she doesn't wake up we'll have to strap her to a stretcher and take her to the hospital to make sure she's okay."

Ashley groaned. "No... hospitals," she mumbled, "germs, everywhere...". Her blue eyes were squinted trying hard to focus. The paramedic spoke again, "Honey if you're worried about germs, I wouldn't look in a mirror any time soon." Ashley was trying to sit up and the woman helped. She looked down at her self and felt a lump in her throat. Don't throw up again, down throw up again...

The roar in her head was fading. The paramedic helped her to her feet just as her old friend Gordon Petmecky came up to stand in front of her. Gordo and Ashley had gone to school together from elementary to high school. He'd been two years ahead of her and graduated to be a cop. "You look like hell in a hand basket" he said, trying to seem more lighthearted about the situation than he actually felt.

Ashley reached a hand up towards her hair to find out what felt so gunky in it. "I, wouldn't," Gordo said gently moving her hand away from the mess. "I'll give you a ride to your apartment and wait for you to clean up and take a report there." A report? That's right, this blood, wasn't hers. The vomit, undoubtedly. She turned towards the tow truck but Gordo stopped her once again. "Come on, I have your purse in the cruiser already." He walked her to the car which was much less embarrassing than she thought it might be. She supposed cops and paramedics saw much worse.

He opened the door for her and she moved to sit, "Ah, wait!", he said before spreading out some newspaper over the back and seat of the chair. Ashley sighed and got in. Gordo hopped into the driver seat and started up the car. Immediately he cracked Ashley's window. Then he flipped on his siren and off they went.

"Isn't it illegal to use your lights when there isn't an emergency?" Ashley asked. Gordon gave her a dumbfounded look. "I'd call you more than an emergency," he said, "You're a one man disaster." Ashley nodded, it was true.

An hour later Ashley was sitting on her couch, clean, clothes from the day in the garbage, and police report filed. Unfortunately she didn't have too much information, aside from the fact that Billy was looney. But that didn't matter now that he was dead. It was late, after dark and after dinner time. She walked Gordon to the door and he gave her a hug. "I'm glad you're okay," he said. "Thanks Gordo," she replied, "Tell Nancy I said hello."

She closed the door behind him and padded to her refrigerator. No food had miraculously appeared since she'd been gone, and now she didn't have a car either. After everything that had happened, it would seem she hadn't been totally out of luck. Even though Billy had been dead, Ashley still got a body receipt for him. Apparently fugitives on the bounty list were wanted alive, or dead. Not that she would ever kill anyone.

She would take the receipt to her boss in the morning and he'd write her a check for a percentage of the bounty. Then she'd get a "new" used car, and some groceries. Not bad for her first day on the job, right? She yawned and padded out of the kitchen, down the short hall passed the bathroom and into her bedroom. She plopped belly down, arms out spread eagle onto the comforter and was probably sleep before her head even made contact.
