The Casino is a fairly good sized establishment with a casino and bar among other amenities on the lower floor, a lounge, dining area and outdoor pool/spa on the second level, and sleeping quarters on the third level. The rooftop is accessible with designated areas for lounging. The place was built many years ago in a time where the magical and mystical beings and forces roamed the Earth and were known well. Though times are different now, The Casino continues to cater to these beings happily.

Ordinarily you may find a place like this in the middle of a large city, but not The Casino. The Casino is located on a stretch of road many miles from any human civilization, at least a hundred miles in any direction. Desert surrounds The Casino.

There are NPCs that can be controlled by any of the players in our role-play at any time. They are the waitstaff, the cleaning staff, the kitchen staff, the valet, and any other form of staff you can think up and you're welcome to name them or not, just have fun with it. (So to get a room, you'd more than likely use an NPC to get your room key, be shown to your room, etc.) The rooms can look however you'd like them to and can even cater to your character's specific needs, as The Casino is special like that. ;)

-Rules-

Vexaline Maichetta

Sex: Female
Hair: Long chestnut blonde hair with natural loose curls
Race: Human with medium/fair skin
Eyes: Amethyst
Build: Around 5'4", average size with proportionate curves
Anything else: She goes by Vex, has a large bounty on her head, always has her nails painted/make-up done, etc. She has a scar on the left side of her abdomen that looks like puncture wounds all parallel to and right under her rib cage. She's very deceiving and is a con artist. She never stays in one place long and has a drinking problem, though there is much more to her than meets the eye. She's a mess and always a disaster waiting to happen.

~~~*~~~
It was noon in the middle of the desert and temperatures were climbing steadily. There wasn't a cloud in the sky and it was dry. Every now and then a sudden wind would pick up and stir up a dust devil or blow a tumble weed across the road. It hadn't rained here in months. Nearby a rattlesnake slithered into a cave at the base of a plateau. A large buzzard flew over casting an ominous shadow over the sand.
Inside the casino the guests were busy having lunch, swimming, catching the nooner show on the stage or gambling. Some were checking out and some were arriving just for the casino. Most of them a mythical sort of being, in one way or another. Some arrived because this was the only place within two hundred miles to stop and use the bathroom or grab a bite. Lights flashed and bells dinged and whistled. The bottom floor was loud and hectic, as always.
Waitresses in little to nothing walked by with trays of drinks and one stopped by the black jack table where Vexaline was shuffling cards. The waitress dropped off Vex's usual and kept on going. Vex had worked here for nearly a week now, doing what she did best. Swindling, cheating, conning... She seemed to have found a place she fit right into.
Her blonde hair waved down over her back and her uniform was, where it existed, snug. A red and white vest that covered just what it needed to covered the top and a pair of tight white low rise pants covered the bottom. Attatched to the pants and slung over her shoulders were a pair of black suspenders that were mearely there for the look of the uniform. She also had on a tight bowtie around her neck and white buttoned cuffs on her wrists that didn't attach to anything. A pair of strappy black stilletos graced her feet. Her lips matched her nails, fire engine red, and her amethyst eyes glittered in the casino lights.
She dealt the hand. As the players played through her games, always losing, a bead of sweat formed on Vex's brow. She was hungry. She was starving. She felt this way constantly lately, and no matter how much she ate, she was always left feeling hungry, always empty.
Not long ago Vexaline had almost been killed by a large wolf outside of a forest Inn. She'd have been done for had it not been for a dear friend of hers, a vampire, who fed her his own blood to heal her. Though of course she was not turned into a vampire herself, they were bonded together, his blood the source of her survival. She hadn't needed much of it and not often, maybe once a month or so. The blood made her stronger than a human, faster, sharper, healthier, but not quite as strong or fast as a vampire.
But Vex was a runner, she always had been, and she left him, her dear friend. Now, months later, Vex was beginning to feel more and more human, with a constant hunger for blood. It was strange to her, being human and craving blood so, but she brushed it off. She would have lunch soon, something filling probably covered in gravy, and forget about the urge. She picked up the cards, smiling at the man who'd just lost to her his last dollar unfairly.
Name: Lord Eran Leander 'Angel'
Race: Vampire Lord
Age: 8000
Power rippled and radiated off of him in subtle waves, powerful but subtle. Every movement he made seemed to be carefully calculated before he made it. Deliberate and smooth, his movements flowed like water. Right now the vampire lord was not moving though, he was standing, leaning against a wall and just watching. Eyes slowly, disinterestedly, shifting over the room. Watching. He wasn't sure what he was looking for, or if he was even looking for anything at all. The council had bid him come to this place and so he had went. He was their go to guy for everything it seemed, but generally he was sent to keep younger vampires in line. To keep them from breaking too many of the unspoken laws of vampire kind. Laws their sires should have taught to them.
There was nothing like that in this place. It was a strange place and though it had existed for many years, the council seemed to have only just recently taken interest in it. Eran hadn't been given much details, but it seemed more like just a simple reconnaissance mission. Observe and report all that was observed. For what reason, he didn't know, nor did he care. He did as the council told him and in return for his absolute obedience, he had a very long leash. He could continue his search for a way to reverse vampirism. His arms were crossed across his chest, he had been here for a few days now and so far, he was not impressed. Nor had he found anything relevant to report to the council.
A soft sigh passed Eran's lips. This place was very boring to him.
[I hope this is okay it's been a long time since I RPed last.]
Emblin Craddick
Appears to be in his late 20's/early 30's. Tall, lean, deep red hair, hazel eyes, skin too tan and clear for your normal red head, no visible scars or marks. He's a nomad searching for the answers to life. At night he turns into a defferent person it's like a light switch and he can't control it and doesn't remember it the next day.
Jasmin "Craddick"
Jasmin poses as Emblin's sister but she's really just an orphan who follows him around like a lost puppy. She's very possessive over Emblin and is very moody. She stands a foot shorter than him at about 5'2" and is 18 years old. She has fair skin with green eyes and black hair. She has no visible scars or marks.
---------------------------------------------------------------->
Emblin walked away from the bar with a scotch on the rocks, Jasmin on his heels with a water and two lemon wedges. He found the nearest black jack table and plopped down next too an older looking man who seemed to have just bet his last dollar. Emblin shook his head as the man got up and stomped away angrily. He made eye contact with the blonde who began dealing the next round his hazel eyes trying to read her amethysts. She was beautiful but she looked pale in a way that didn't seem normal to her. He couldn't help but grin back at her captivating smile. He could hear Jasmin growl from beside him and he rolled his eyes as he picked up his cards. She punched him in the arm causing him to cut his finger on one of the cards.
He held his finger up to examine it as a drop of blood fell onto the black jack table. He scowled at Jasmine, the girl who was a child, too young for him and too much like the little sister they pretended she was.
Just as another loser stormed off, another sat. Vex didn't mean it in a rude way, like the guy was a loser at life or anything, no, just that he was going to be a loser at this game of Blackjack. She smiled her typical alluring smile at the red haired male as she laid the cards out. A small female growled beside him and Vex gave the girl a glance before returning her attention to the redhead. "No guard dogs allowed," she said, taking a shot at the girl.
Then the girl punched the redhead. At that moment a scent filled Vex's nose that caused her stomach to growl almost as loud as Jasmin had. Did her body still hold onto some tiny bit of the vampire's blood? Enough to allow her to smell such a small drop of blood across the table? Maybe. Or maybe her body just craved the blood that much.
She had the urge to leap across the table and sink her teeth into the man. Of course, that wouldn't have worked for her since she wasn't actually a vampire. It would have just been really weird, and awkward, and probably wouldn't have done much other than leave a funny bruise. She contemplated breaking her glass on the table and using that to get the blood from him she craved.
Vex blinked, clearing her mind. Normally the thoughts she'd had would have repulsed and even concerned her, but now, she wanted it, it was all she could think about. She stared at the small cut and her mouth watered. She swallowed involuntarily to quench the thirst, but it didn't help. Would normal human blood even help at all? She should never have left her vampire friend.
She fought the urge to attack the man. Her smile had long faded and her face was surely ghostly. Amethyst eyes dropped down to the spot of blood on the table and her nose twitched ever so slightly. She went from feeling strong and well to weak and sickly in a matter of minutes. She needed to get away from here.
Her fingers found a small panic button under the table. It wasn't usually used unless there was a problem with a guest but Vex needed someone to cover for her before she killed someone. Her hands trembled. "Excuse me," she said weakly before turning on her heel and making her way to a side door that lead to a small covered area on the side of the building for employee breaks.
Vex burst out the back door and vomited. She breathed hard, doubled over everything she'd eaten... in the last two days? Her body was rejecting human food now? Her hands trembled and she wiped at her mouth, thankful none of the other employees were currently on break. Vex's heart raced. Was she going to die? No, she would quench this thirst one way or another.
Eran was quietly surveying the room when he felt it rather than smelled it. As old as he was, even the tiniest drop of blood could not escape his senses. Eyes narrowed slightly as he eyed the black jack table and its occupants. There was a change in the dealer, perhaps subtle, the humans might not notice it but Eran could see it. It all only took a matter of moments to happen, the dealer eyed the bleeding man, then quickly excused herself as someone else came over to the table to take over. He followed her with his eyes as she exited the room, then he followed her with his body.
Quietly he stood behind her as she vomited, his nose wrinkling at the strong scent of it. "Where is your sire, fledgling?" He spoke the words quietly. For all appearances, to Eran she seemed much like a newly formed vampire, though something was a little off. He couldn't quite place what was off about her, and that irritated him. He was calm, and his eyes didn't stray from her. Curious and uncertain if he should leave her alone. She might harm someone purely by accident, driven by hunger if he left.
Vex spun around at the sound of a voice. Of course someone would have to come out here at some time, but she was still kind of annoyed by it. How dare someone come out here and see her like this. That was ridiculous of her to think of course, but she didn't feel good, and now this guy was out here calling her names.
Well there wasn't any point in putting on her typical seductive act now. Once someone has seen you vomit, any sexy or attractive image you may have once held was out the window. Besides, at the moment all she wanted to do was drink blood, not swindle anyone out of his clothes or money. That was strange to Vex, too. Swindling was always her number one priority.
She straightened herself the best she could and attempted to decipher his question. Though he seemed to be speaking in some strange weirdo lingo, Vex assumed he was asking about her boss. "The floor manager is probably on lunch," she started, "and the boss is hard to get a hold of unless you're important." She narrowed her eyes at him, "I'm not drunk on the job, if that's what you need to complain about."
Vex did her best to seem angry, but it was too hard. All the sounds of the casino floated out to her ears that felt overly sensitive at the moment as they tried helping her find that that would make her well again. Her body was trying it's best to find her dear vampire friend, but he was long gone, and it was draining her energy fast. Her head spun as she picked up obnoxious sounds of coins falling and people laughing. She covered her ears as another wave of nausea took her.
Emblin stuck his cut finger in his mouth and turned to Jasmin to scold her. Then he heard the blonde excuse herself and before he could turn to protest she was running off. He blinked owlishly after her with his finger still in his mouth. He could tell she wasn't feeling well and wanted to follow her to be sure she was okay. Instead he thought better of looking like some kind of stalker and turned back to Jasmin. He removed his finger and sighed. Then he shook his head. Jasmin smiled childishly, happy the woman had gone. Emblin rolled his eyes and stood. He finished off his drink and left the glass on the table before heading for the front parlor where he would inquire about a couple of rooms. Jasmin of course followed close behind.
Eran stared at her when she spoke about her boss. Clearly she had misunderstood his words. His lips parted slightly, just enough to show her his fangs before he spoke again. "You misunderstand my words." He kept his eyes on her, watching carefully, noticing all the signs. Slowly beginning to figure out what had been off about her. She was not truly vampire. Not yet. Perhaps a bit of a change had been initiated but it had not been completed. Most assuredly she was bonded to the vampire that had done such a thing to her, yet that creature seemed to be no where around.
When she covered her ears, Eran frowned ever so slightly. "Where is the vampire who first fed you his blood?" Perhaps she would understand that question better. Trying to decide if she kept away from ingesting any blood if perhaps the change that had started would reverse itself. Probably not. Eran had never bound himself to a human like that, never initiated only a partial change so he was uncertain of what might happen. He did know that his own blood was potent. As old as he was it had to be, strong and it could probably sustain her for a long while with only a few drops. He was hesitant to offer though, if her almost-sire were nearby, he might be offended by such a thing and Eran wasn't looking to start a fight.
She finally allowed her legs some rest and sat on the hard concrete ground. So he was a vampire. Most people in this age would have been frightened, or disbelieving. Of course Vex had encountered many beings unlike humans, encounters like this were quite normal for her. She shook her head lightly, careful not to cause herself nausea again. "I left him some time ago," she replied.
She recalled her red haired vampire friend. He always seemed the slightest bit unhappy, always looking for something though he never knew what. She looked up at the vampire before her. "I need him," she said, both a statement and a question. She knew she needed his blood, he'd told her she would. Vex had been foolish to leave, but it was just her nature.
Regan cursed himself for having ever let Vex out of his sight. He knew she ran, always did, when she was afraid, uncertain, or for so many other reasons. The vampire glanced around, letting his senses spread wide in the chaotic space as he tried to gain some kind of sign that perhaps Vex was there. Such a place, where gambling was rife, the vampire was certain his friend would have at least stopped by.
She was the only friend he had, and having lost her felt like the worst thing in the world. The red head sniffed the air experimentally, catching the scent of at least one, maybe two or more, vampires nearby. But mingling with them was a faint wif of his own blood, or an echo of his blood. That had to be Vex. The blue eyed man pulled at his white dress shirt nervously and stepped towards that very distinctive smell.
He hesitated upon seeing an intimidating looking elder of his kind, clad in black and standing by his friend, but he stepped forward anyway. "Excuse me for interrupting... Vex? " Was she angry with him? Was that why she had run? Regan was so unsure of himself still. His memories were so unknown to him, save those very few he'd recaptured, and most of those involving Vex. He reached out to steady her, pressing his hands against her shoulders. This Regan did know, he'd done this thing to her and without her consent. She probably hated him for that, even though she'd never said anything of the like.
Those lips parted, Eran was about to say something, but the approach of another vampire stayed his words. Silently he observed as the other came forward and approached the girl. As soon as he saw them together, Eran knew, this was the vampire that had done such a thing to this girl. "You should stay close to him, you are walking a very thin line." Others could be put in danger, or this girl herself could be put in danger because of the situation she was in. Not quite vampire and not quite human. He nodded slightly to the younger vampire. "You shouldn't let her out of your sight." Just soft words of advice and then Eran was turning, to retreat back into the casino. He was no longer needed here, and he was sure that they wouldn't appreciate his continued presence. An air of uncertain intimacy flowed around the two, not really a sexual intimacy but the intimacy shared by close friends. Eran seemed to flow like water as he moved back towards the interior of the casino.
Name: Cillian Locke
Age: Who knows...
Gender: Male
Appearance: Cillian (commonly known as Cill) has dark auburn hair that is styled very choppily and goes to about the middle of his neck, with his bangs swaying to the right side. He's got dark brown eyes, and porcelain skin. He stands at about 5'4. He wears a little gold chain necklace with a key charm on it, to hide his wings (if he takes it off, his wings appear)
Race: Demon...well...angel. It's slightly confusing. He was an angel, one of the very first ones (the fourth one to be made in fact), but because of his close attachment with Lucifer, he got turned into a demon. So he's kinda like part angel, part fallen angel and part demon. (it'll be explained better in the RP)
Name: Rowan Locke
Age: Who knows...
Gender: Male
Appearance: Rowan's got strawberry blonde hair, styled like this. He's got the same kind of eyes and skin as Cillian. Rowan stands at about 5'6 1/2. He wears a little gold chain necklace with a key charm on it, to hide his wings (if he takes it off, his wings appear)
Race: Angel. Well, now he's a fallen angel. He was the third angel to be made (Michael being the first, and Lucifer the second), and is twins with Cillian. After Cillian got banished from heaven and got turned into a demon/fallen angel/angel, Rowan fought for his younger brother. Unfortunately, he lost. Then about three hundred years later, Rowan "fell" from heaven (reasons are unknown.... o.o) and he became a fallen angel.
Note: Both boys are actually really close with Lucifer (Cillian more so than Rowan), and are fairly well known through-out the demon population.
------------------------------------------------------><--------------------------------------------------
Rowan strode into the Casino with a nearly trembling Cillian clutching onto him from behind. He wasn't necessarily annoyed by the fact that the younger male was literally clinging to him, it happened all the time, but what was getting on his nerves was all the stares that he and Cillian were getting. And it wasn't because of their closeness to Lucifer-- no, because many people didn't even know what the "rumoured Rowan and Cillian" looked like--, they were simply staring because of Cillian's cowardliness.
"Wish they would just stop staring..." Rowan spoke with gritted teeth.
"It's...my fault....isn't it?" Cillian asked with a voice that was barely even a whisper. Even so, Rowan heard his younger twin, and simply shook his head.
"Not your fault, Cill, it's theirs for being so idiotic," he spoke softly.
This was the only time that the strawberry blonde actually spoke softly; when he was with Cillian. The two had an unbreakable bond, and they only showed their "secret sides" to each other. For Rowan, his secret side was soft, and kind, something completely different from his normally cold and unapproachable look. For Cillian, his secret side was fun loving, teasing and outgoing, the only reason why no one other than Rowan knew that was because Cillian was terribly shy--or rather, he wasn't shy, he was just terrified of people.
"Why'd we come here anyways, Row?" Cill asked, using his pet name for Rowan.
"'Cause we were told to..I guess," Rowan answered, even though Cillian already knew what happened.
They were technically told to. If Rowan had to guess, he'd say that they were getting on Lucifer's nerves, so the devil sent them away, and one of his minions--as Rowan called the other demon's that Lucifer had breeded--had pushed the twins into this Casino.
Rowan didn't necessarily like it though. It was annoying, it smelt bad, and all around he could sense vampires, demons, humans, and kinds of other supernatural beings. He didn't like it one bit. Rowan, unlike Cillian, was ok with people. In fact, he loved them. He loved being surrounded by others, but he didn't like it when it was to the point of overflowing.
Now, that may be because when it was near that point, Cillian was near the verge of tears --and Rowan never liked seeing his younger twin cry, it broke his heart--, or it could be for some other reason. Either way, he didn't like it.
"This place...is so stupid," Rowan muttered, sitting down at a table as Cillian went to sit beside him, never going more than half a foot away from his older twin.
As she looked to the other, hoping for some kind of reassurance that she was going to be just fine, well as fine as Vex ever got, a familiar voice rang in her ears. She squinted an eye at the volume of it in her head. The thing her body had been searching for. As he reached out to grab hold of her shoulders Vex was overcome by his familiar scent as her senses continued grasping at every detail of his presence.
Her amethyst eyes focused and refocused on his, her lungs inhaled his scent deeply, her ears soaked up every inch of movement and her fingers reached up to touch his face. Was he really there? It had been so long since she'd last seen him. Then the older vampire was leaving. She was happy to see Regan, happier than she'd been in a really long time. Partly because she'd missed her friend, but also because she seemed to need him much more than she'd realized to survive.
He looked just as unsure as ever and she smiled. She wanted to throw her arms around him and jump up and down. She wanted to know if he'd found what he'd been searching for. But mostly she wanted his blood. Vex didn't hate Regan for what he'd done, not at all. There were points in her life, that she wasn't proud of, that she'd wanted to die. But when Regan had saved her, he'd done the right thing, in her eyes. She was thankful for the second chance given to her by her dear friend. What she did hate was having to depend on him so much.
"What did he mean?" she asked weakly of Regan, "By walking a thin line?" What did that other vampire know of anything? She frowned at the question she asked herself. For all she knew he knew everything.
It wasn't long before Emblin had two room keys, one for himself and one for Jasmin. He turned to her and placed the delicate key in her hand. "Behave yourself" he said to her "and for the sake of all that is holy mingle and give me some space." He turned and headed for the bar where he picked a stool and made himself comfortable.
-------------------
Jasmin fumed at Emblin as he walked away. He had no idea why she acted the way she did around him. It wasn't because she was in love with him or something dopey it was because she really cared for him and she knew there was something wrong with him. She couldn't figure out exactly what it was but she could sense it, something dark inside him. Well, she sighed, it wasn't like he'd be running off without her in a place like this. She turned around abruptly crossing the angel/demon's path and smacking right into Rowan.
"I'm sorry! Sorry sorry sorry!" she had a bad habit of not paying attention to much aside from Emblin. She looked from Rowan to the man hiding behind him. They were twins it would seem. And the one in the back looked like a scared puppy. It made her giggle. Immediately she reached up and covered her mouth. She was being rude.
They hadn't been sitting down for long before a girl bumped into Rowan. Cillian looked up at the girl with large, scared eyes. She exclaimed an apology, and as she did, Cillian could feel terrifying vibes emitting from him. Cillian knew that Rowan hated it when people were being oblivious, the only person who was oblivious around Rowan, and Rowan was ok with it, was Cillian himself.
"Watch where your going, girlie," Rowan growled out, narrowing his eyes so that he was glaring at the girl in front of them.
Then, as Rowan was speaking, she giggled. Cillian knew that she wasn't giggling at what Rowan said, but at the same time, he wasn't sure what she was giggling about. Almost immediately after she started giggling, she covered her mouth, as if she didn't mean to giggle. This simple action made Cill tilt his head slightly, his eyes still wide with fright, but with curiosity too.
"What are you laughing at?" Rowan snapped at her, nearly yelling.
"Row..."Cill managed to let out a quiet whine, while tugging at his brother's sleeve, "Be nice. She didn't mean to, I'm sure."
Rowan simply shrugged Cillian's hand off of his sleeve, and completely ignored the younger boy. Of course, this didn't upset Cill, not in the slightest. He was used to his brother by now. He knew that when his brother was angry, there was almost no hope to get him to calm down until he managed to do so himself.
It was funny, really. Out of the two twins, one would think that Rowan would be the one who was part demon and closest to Luci--or Lucifer as he was actually named, Cill just had a bad habit of giving people pet names--, and it would have been Cill who had stayed up in heaven for a while. Then again, Cill figured that it was because of all the anger that Row had held in his body while he was up in heaven that made him like this. So maybe if it had been Row who had been banished, he would have ended up really differently...Cill, himself, too would have ended up differently.
"Answer me," Rowan growled in a warning voice to the girl.
Emblin sat at the bar alone drinking another scotch on the rocks. He thought about hitting up another black jack table and it made him wonder about the blonde. Something about her had been so captivating. Was she okay? He checked his watch. It would be dark in a matter of a few short hours. He wasn't sure why but something about the approach of night always made him anxious.
--------------------------------
Jas jumped when the clearly angrier of the twins snapped at her. Her smile faded and she cleared her throat. "I- well your brother-" it probably wasn't a good idea to say that she'd been laughing at the man's brother. It wasn't like she'd meant it in a mean way. It was just that he was so cute hiding back there like a scared puppy... Moody as she was, Jasmin's mood changed. She crossed her arms and turned up her nose. "It's none of your business." Still she couldn't help sneaking another glance at the puppy behind the big bad wolf. What was he so afraid of anyway? Probably his bully of a brother.
Relieved that she wasn't angry, Regan pulled the blonde woman in close for a tight hug. He had worried about how she would react when he found her again. The vampire had always known he would be able to track her down somehow. It wasn't hard once you knew Vex for a little while. She tended to gravitate towards places like the Casino.
"You're not a vampire, and you are not quite human. There's a possibility that you might be dangerous to others, and to yourself ... But I think it's mostly that others might be intrigued by you." But he would stay and protect her. This was his doing, and she was his friend. Regan was determined to do all he could to keep Vex safe. He felt somehow like he had done something before to hurt someone, that he'd failed them, but it was one of those echoes from the past that he just couldn't quite grasp. The red head shook it off easily enough.
He smiled instead, and leaned back so he could brush away a lock of stray hair from Vex's face. "Don't worry though, I'll stay with you... Just don't run off like that again, alright?" They had to stick together, at least until they figured out how Vex might be able to manage her new self without Regan. "For now, until we figure out what you need to survive as you are."
Eran moved easily through the crowd, slipping past people effortlessly. Trouble seemed to be brewing in one area, he could feel the tension, but that was none of his business. It didn't involve vampires or anything else the council would be concerned with, he did watch for a couple of seconds before continuing on his way to the bar. Once there he would slip onto a stool and order what, for all appearances, looked like a rich red wine. Once it was brought to him, Eran would take the glass between his fingertips and just hold it for a moment, swirling it gently. The vampire lord had a suspicion that this was just a thinly veiled attempt of the council to get him to relax, a vacation of sorts, that would benefit them both. He could lounge around, and bring back information, except Eran wasn't exactly the type to lounge around. He turned so he sat with his back against the bar, those eyes roaming over his surroundings once again as he brought the glass to his lips and took an almost delicate sip of it's contents.
"Hmmm," was Vex's only reply. She was frowning in a sort of deep thought and then she sighed. "Well, as long as your here," she started with a smile, but before she could finish her stomach growled loudly. She groaned at the sound. "I can't keep people food down anymore. I'm really hungry, but all I can think about is blood." She wanted to feel embarrassed, but she was talking to a vampire, blood was normal.
She used Regan to stand. "I also have to get back to work, I work here now," she said with a smile, proud of herself. Unfortunately for Regan, that meant he'd be hanging around here until Vex got kicked out, or they could find a way to make her self sustainable. She gave him a reassuring smile that said she wasn't going to run away again, at least not today.
"I'm feeling a lot better now that I don't have human food in my body, but I feel so hungry." She chewed her lip for a moment. "I actually thought I was going to stab a guy earlier, I was so... thirsty. Could you imagine, me, actually hurting someone physically, and before conning him at all?" She shook her head. "I don't know what you've done to me," she said playfully, "But that just isn't right."
Regan smiled at all the right places, but he couldn't help but feel worried and guilty for what he had done. Making a decision like he had without consulting the person it affected the most, that wasn't right. Shaking his head, he offered up a smile. "Don't worry about it. I can solve your hunger problem without any trouble at all."
To prove it, the red head lifted his left wrist and used his teeth to make a cut. He held out the limb to Vex with an expectant look. "Go on, before it heals. Wouldn't want you going after any of the customers, now would we?" Though Regan sounded amused, he was anything but. The roiling emotions he felt were echoed in his blue eyes as he tilted his head to peer at his friend.
Rowan glared at the girl, sending off ominous death vibes as he did so. Was she suggesting that she was laughing at Cillian? His Cill? She didn't quite finish her sentence, but one could only assume that she meant that, and being the protective big brother that he was, Rowan slammed his hand down on the table as soon as she said that it was none of his business.
"None of my business?" he yelled, then repeated it, "None of my business? Are you kidding me!? From what I'm getting, you were laughing at my brother, so of course it's my fu<king business!"
Rowan wouldn't stand for people insulting Cill. Ever since his brother had been banned from "the holy land" all the angels had been ridiculing him. Some would even go so far as to go up to Rowan and say "I'm so sorry that you had to have Cillian as your twin,". No one had the right to talk about his Cill like that. No one! Ever since then, he had become extremely protective of the younger twin, and his anger just grew day by day. Not that he hadn't had anger issues when Cill was still allowed in the "Holy Land".
He knew that Cillian was sitting behind him, probably embarrassed and slightly frightened from his outburst, but he wasn't going to stop. This girl needed to learn her place.
"Row...." he heard the slightly whining and shaking voice of Cillian, but the younger boy said nothing else, so Rowan just decided to ignore him. He didn't even look back at his brother, knowing that the look on his face would either be extremely sad or extremely embarrassed.
Vex had been joking with Regan easily, like always, but the second he made the cut in his skin her mood changed. The fun and laid back demeanor changed and she had a wild animal-like look in her eyes. Her jaw tightened, and faster than your average human she'd grabbed hold of Regan's wrist and brought the wound to her mouth.
Her fingers dug into his skin as she drank from him hungrily. She'd never needed him so much before and she'd never lost so much control before either. When she felt that she may actually drain him of his own vampire life, she forced herself to stop. She released his wrist and wiped what little blood that had miraculously managed to miss her mouth from her lips.
She was back to herself now, well as much as she could be with all of these heightened senses, though still not as heightened as an actual vampire. "Are you okay?" she asked him, knowing she'd never taken so much from him before. He'd certainly need to feed himself soon now. She wondered who he would find for the blood, since he could not feed from Vex since the bond.
Though she'd asked in reference to her feeding, she also wondered how he was doing. Had he found that that he always seemed to be searching for? Somehow she didn't think so.
Emblin finished his drink and set the short empty glass on the table and glanced over at the man who had just put his back against the bar. Something about the man seemed too serious. Emblin was about to give the man a hard time when the alcohol made it's way to his bladder. He left his things at the bar and stood up to find the bathroom planning to be right back. He'd had three scotches on the rocks pretty quickly and he wasn't as sharp as he normally may have been so he wasn't paying much attention as he headed for a random door at the side of the casino. Surely this was the bathroom. Emblin had one hand on the door but something outside the small circular door window caught his eye and he stopped. This wasn't the bathroom at all. Outside there was a red haired man and the blonde from earlier who seemed sick. She had his wrist at her mouth? What a strange thing... then she let go of it and wiped blood from her lips. Immediately Emblin moved away from the window not wanting to be seen. So she was a vapmire then? It would explain why she'd looked sick when he cut his finger at the black jack table.
But it didn't explain why her skin wasn't vampire pale and why she seemed more clumsy than a vampire would be. He peeked back through the window once again. The cut on the man was healed there was no sign of blood or injury! Nothing. Impossible! What were those two? Mentally a red flag raised in his mind and he wasn't sure why but he filed the information away for later use. It was like something inside of him was telling him to watch these two or something. His eyes darted around to see if anyone was watching him act so strangely before seeing the sign for the bath room where he immediately headed off too. A short minute or two later he was back at the bar where he sat for a little bit just thinking and then he glanced over to the man near by him. "Strange place huh?" Emblin's mind was too busy elswhere to make good conversation. And where was Jasmin? Of course he'd tell her to mingle in a place with monsters...
----------------------------------
Jasmin jumped again at the sound of Rowan slamming his hand on the table. She relaxed and blinked at him almost owlishly now. Was he really that angry about her laughing? Maybe she should explain herself, but how would she without embarrassing herself now? She sighed. "I wasn't laughing at him." Now she was feeling embarrassed trying to make herself say the words. For a moment she just sort of twiddled her thumbs and then she began to feel irritated. Finally her mood flopped and she flung her hands around. "He's just cute okay!?" She wouldn't explain further and it wasn't like she was trying to hit on him or pick him up or anything. She grumbled and turned away from the odd pair she wasn't going to sit here and be yelled at for some dumb reason. Jasmin stalked angrily across the casino into the lounge where she found a cushiony chair by a window and sat. So much for mingling.
Cillian watched as Rowan got furious in terror. Why was his brother so protective of him? Even if the girl was laughing at him, he'd be fine. He didn't care about being made fun of, it just simply didn't bother him. Then, he heard what the girl said, and a blush formed on his cheeks. Of course, that was one thing that was hard for Cillian, it made him want to go an crawl under a rock because of the embarrassment. After all, he was older than most beings on the planet, so being cute somehow seemed unnatural. Although, most people started forgetting about ages after a while.
Then the girl began to walk away, and Cill couldn't help but feel slightly sad. He and Row didn't normally get to talk to others, since they were usually just with Lucifer. Well, Cillian was, Lucifer was the biggest fan of Rowan, so Rowan usually spent most of his time...doing something. In fact, Cill didn't even know where Rowan went when Lucifer got angry with him.
"Rowan! You can't just get mad at people without any solid facts!" Cill spoke with a tone of slight anger, but mostly he was just stern, as if scolding a young child.
"It's not my fault. She shouldda just explained from the start," Rowan huffed, sitting back down.
"It is your fault though! You get angry to quick!" Cill's spoke, just getting slightly angry at his brother.
"Whatever, Cill. It doesn't matter anyways, it's not like we were gonna befriend 'er or somethin'," Rowan sighed.
"We could have..."Cill muttered, and almost immediately regretted it.
Cillian knew that his brother had risked so much just so they could be together, and he knew that Rowan felt that they didn't need anyone else but each other. In fact, his brother was completely against the idea of having anyone else in their lives...other than Lucifer, but he was a special case (Cill thought it was because Rowan was secretly scarred him).
"Really? If you believe that, then go talk to 'er! I'll be somewhere else, you baster*!" Rowan shouted angrily, making Cillian flinch.
Cillian was only able to stand there. He hadn't gotten his brother angry in such a long time, it must have been over seven thousand years by now. Then again, he should have known that was coming since he touched a touchy subject (though Cill was never sure why Rowan was that touchy about it...). With a sigh, Cill began to make his way over to the girl to apologize for Rowan. He wouldn't dare go near Row for a while though. With Row in the mood he was, especially since he was angry at Cill, Cillian knew that going to him would be a death trap.
Cillian found the girl on a cushiony chair by a window, and tapped her on her shoulder.
"Uhmm," he started, stuttering, "I-I'm sorry for Row...wan....I mean, R-Rowan... I-I mean, m-my b-brother. H-he's just...protec....protective."
