Loki laughed so hard, he clutched his stomach. He turned to talk to Lucifer.

"Such insanity occurring already?!" He laughed again. "I swear you folks get along so much better without me!"

He smiled. "And as much fun I'd have just leaving, manipulate ideas, and make some stupid mortal become president. Again. I don't think I want to miss this show. I'll just take a step back and watch everyone squirm with their own mental problems."

Loki thought for a second, then turned back to Lucifer. "You wouldn't happen to have some popcorn on you?"

  • "Do you honestly think I carry around popcorn" Lucifer hissed at Loki. "you make no difference, Being here i mean. It means very little, the affect you have on us is like a warped mortal quiz show, it goes away afterwards." Lucifer looked up and turned to Jewel. "Jewel? You alright?" he sounded generally concerned for her, and so long as there was no-one from the highest heaven was watching closely, he could be as sympathetic as he wanted to be.

"I don't know" Jewel said "Are you alright Therese?" She asked thhen turned to Lucifer. She was getting no answer from Belial. She wasn't going to, unless a miracle transformed him into Eve.

"This isn't out of hand yet" She said, there was blood running down her front and sides from where she'd been hurt earlier, but for the moment, she was going to overlook it and just glanced at it ever now and then. It was just a few small holes into the skin, nothing too serious compared to the fights she'd been in before.

((Wee! I'm Back!! Six Flags roxxor'd my boxxors I got to hug(mentalgrope) Aquaman!))

The woman in the water smiled up at Belial. She looked like a gentle creature that would love him no matter how awful he was. Belial shyly waved to her, hoping that she wouldn't be scared off by him. That was happening alot lately and Belial didnt like it at all. The woman beamed and reached up through the water to hug him around the neck. To the others it would appear as a brief rainbowglimmer in the air. Then she was gone and Belial was alone again. "Woah..." Belial gasped. "That was so cool! I have to show papa!" He turned and vanished from Earth.

He was jumping the levels of Heaven haphazardly, crashing or bumping into things as he "landed" on each level. On the third level he actually used an angel's back as a springboard to the fourth level of Heaven. As he reached the sixth Level he dropped literatlly into Joora's lap in her bed.

"Joora!" He squealed eager to jabber he story to anyone who would listen. "Joora! Joora! I saw a girl in the water! I was looking for me, but there was a girl! She was a nice girl, but she didnt look like me, so I dont know why I wasnt in the water but she was!" Like most children's stories, it was neither logical or organized. To Belial it made perfect sense and he bounced on Joora's bed while he waited for her to share in his excitement.

"Oh what the hell!" Joora exclaimed as a child came crashing down on her lap. She had been enjoying just lying there relaxing and was upset that her peace was so rudely interrupted. Oh, it's just Belial she thought and laid back down.

She covered her eyes as the child babbled about the girl he saw in the water. Eve.

She sat upright and looked at the child. He was flopping wildly on her bed jabbering away. That had to stop. She wasn't fond of children. She equated them to little animals. You had to housebreak them and then teach them to walk and talk and not to bite and teach them manners. Too much work in her opinion. She despised the fact that Belial was in this state and would have much rather had the adult land in her lap. That was more fun.

She tried to put on a pleasant face that wouldn't scare the child. She covered her body with her wings and patted the spot next to her. "Belial, come sit down next to me and tell me all about it. You were bouncing around and talking so fast that I missed some spots and I really want to hear your story. I heard you say you saw a pretty lady in the water. Can you tell me more about her?" Joora tried to sound as calm and soothing as possible. She had to get the whole story out of him and wondered if there was a way to bring Eve out.

Lucifel could not find out about her. That would ruin everything and get Eve and her killed in the process. She had to think of a way to convince the child not to tell him. She'd wait to hear what the child had to say before she decided on a plan of action.

Belial covered Joora's mouth with his little hand to silence her. "Shhh She's talking!" He said in a loud voice he tried to pass as a whisper. "Can't you hear her?" He asked Joora.

Her blank face told him that she could not hear the lady as he could. Belial decided to translate for the lady and Joora. "She says she has something important of mine. Its awfully hard to hear she sould speak up! It sounds like.. me..mentories...mimmories...mammories..." He stopped and turned to Joora for an explaination. "Joora what are mammories?"

Meanwhile Lucifel paced the length of Eden violently destroying anything in his way. An ornamental birdbath was no where near his line of walking, so he veered to the right so it was. Lightening crackled in his fist as he rained a flurry of blows upon the delicate piece of masonry. It exploded into a thousand peices sending debri into the air to pelt Lucifel with its revenge.

Eden was shattered and broken by the time Lucifel finished his temper tantrum. His rage fizzled but it had not subsided. He needed something living to vent his fury on.

You are a plague upon Heaven Lucifel. Came an old tired voice from his mind.

Lucifel took out a syringe and a bottle of black liquid. With quick practiced precision he measured out a dose and drove the needle deep within his arm. "So you've said Mother." the needle fell to the ground and vanished. Around him Eden had returned to its former undamaged state, as it had done many tatrums before. "Like it or not as long as I have this syrum your powers of creation are mine to control. Now, where is Joora?" He stalked off in the direction of Joora's quarters.

  • "He's gone. That wasn't just any voice. That could only have been Eve. Thats almost good, almost bad" She said, wondering if anyone else was listening.

"Lucifer. We're going. If anyone else wants to come, they're welcome to" She was back to her commanding voice. Her leadership. Heck, she even seemed to be in controll of her husband most of the time, but both of them had the worst of reputations for caring too much about each other sometimes, Lucifer for Jewel specifically although no one could really get their heads around if it was because of the sex or not.

Jewel had no smile on her face as she faced Lucifer. She walked towards Lucifer and dragged him to the side, leaning over him as she always did when she wanted to tell him something in private.

"What is it darling" He asked out of the corner of his mouth.

Jewel started to talk almost silently. "You know? Lucifel? I believe, I do not know it, but I believe he might have used mother on himself in the same way Belial and Eve. The resulting creation is usually always males, testosterone or something. I can never get my head around genetics. My sisters both could, look what that did to them. You understand life magic and death magic just like I, yet you also understand consequences. Even though you are a devil." She'd set her head on his shoulder, almost whispering her words into his ears. "Lucifer, If that creature, Belial gets wind of Eves memories, assuming she still has them. If he tells Lucifel. That might be the end of Belial child or adult. Although, we do happen to have a certain angel in heaven, we may be able to get information out of" She whispered before moving off. "So Demons and such back to hell shall we?" She asked

  • She didn't know if Eve was still in Belial. Her head was low, trying to think how Lucifel performed the experiment on Belial. When she looked up, Belial was gone. She looked to both her sides and thought she must have spaced out again.

As Jewel spoke to Lucifer in private, Robin descended down the levels of Hell. She didn't worry about Jewel's random mood swings anymore, she seemed to be over them. She figured she would leave the two together.

Joora tried desperately to muffle the chuckle that came from her lips. Mammories. That's great! She turned the chuckle in to a smile and attempted to speak in the best mothering tone she could. She did not want to upset him by being condescending, especially not now.

"Mammories are the two bumps on a woman's chest that help to feed little babies when the woman has a child. What the lady is saying is memories. Memories are things we remember about stuff. It could be like remembering what you did today or a fun time you had with papa or stuff like that."

She could see in the child's eyes that he was struggling to understand. She picked him up and sat him in her lap, wrapping her arms around him. "Do you remember when you and I went to Eden to see your papa and he gave you some new toys? That is a memory."

Joora's voice became hushed and she looked around to make sure no one was listening, although she could hear hurried footsteps coming toward her door. Most likely Lucifel. She rolled her eyes and became softly stroking the child's hair.

"You like the pretty lady don't you? And do you know that your papa doesn't like her at all. In fact he wants her to go away. Don't get mad at him for it Belial. He wants to protect you but maybe you and I should keep it secret from him." She held up her hand and stuck out her pinky. "I pinky swear that I won't tell him if you pinky swear you won't. Oh, and why don't you tell me about your day before papa comes in."

She smiled warmly at the child, her fiery wings glowing a little brighter. She hoped that he would swear he wouldn't tell.

Belial looked at Joora's outstretched pinky warily. He was supposed to be utterly loyal to papa and this seemed a bit dishonest to him. He shifted and fidgeted and squirmed in discomfort of the important decision.

It's ok Belial. You dont want papa to be sad do you? The familiar voice whispered in his head.

"Well..." Belial began but was interrupted by the pounding footsteps rushing toward Joora's door. "Ah! Papa! Oh he's gonna be so mad I didn't kill the witch! I have to hide!" Belial skittered sideways off the bed and hid under a sidetable that was covered with a long table cloth. He clutched his knees to his chest and clamped a shield over his presence.

The door burst open coming off its hinges entirely so that the door frame was open to display Lucifel's great form. His blue eyes were bloodshot and vacant as if reality no longer made sense to them so they chose to see nothing at all. He was panting in rage and his hands were curled into white knuckled fists at his side.

"The Experiment has failed!" Lucifel hissed advancing on Joora. "You Have Failed!" Each word was ephasized so hard a little spittle escaped with each vowel.

Lucifel raised his fist to strike Joora. As it came down it hit an invisible wall just above Joora's head. Belial jumped up knocking over the end table in his attempt to get between his papa and Joora. "Stop it! She didnt do anything!" He cried interjecting himself between the two. His arms were spread wide blocking Lucifel from his intended target. Around Joora a thin opal sheen floated around her, protecting her, trapping her.

With his intended target put out of reach Lucifel redirected his rage at something smaller. A swift kick sent Belial flying across the room to slam into a bookshelf. The wood cracked in half and books rained down on Belial like angry harpies. Lucifel towered over Belial his shadow enveloped the poor boy completely. With a sharp pull, Lucifel yanked Belial to stand by his arm. The beating that followed was horrifying, and all the while Belial did not cry out he only whimpered from time to time. When Lucifel finished he was panting heavily and he seemed to be in a slightly better mood. Lucifel turned his back on them both, leaving in silence to go scheme in peace. As he left things repaired themselves, books returned to their homes and even the endtable righted itself.

Belial was the only thing that was not fixed. He was lying curled in the fetal position on the floor. One of his wings hung at a funny angle at his side, bruises had blossomed along his skin, and his clothing was stained with fresh blood. The shield around Joora came down, and Belial teleported himself into Joora's lap so he didnt need to move. His small body was on fire, but he needed to do something. He reached out with a trembling hand and took Joora's pinky in his own. A few meek words tumbled out of his bruised lips. "Cross my heart and hope to die.."

Elysia was completely dumbstruck.

The girl she had handed the body of Jewel's sister to was now giving candy to the killer child-leaving Elysia to assume she hadn't taken the body to Jewel's Palace.

She had returned from her trip to the Gate to find Loki trying to mess with Lucifer, but Lucifer shrugged him off before any trouble could be made.

Lucifel, ever the coward, had fled leaving his creation to throw temper tantrums. That creation started seeing things in the water and a sudden glimmer of light reached out from it and wrapped itself around him then disappeared.

Jewel was having moodswings that would lead most humans to call her schizophrenic, bipolar, or maybe just PMSing. Lucifer was placating her every shift. He seemed to enjoy when she was slightly unstable.

She couldn't wrap her mind around everything that had been going on. She had went on ahead before Jewel announced that everyone should leave. At the Gate she found the woman's body, dropped where she left her. She sighed, picked up the body, and waited for Jewel and the others to catch up.

She was slowly changing back to her human form. She wasn't in danger, neither was anyone else.

"Ancient politics," she muttered to herself, "I better still get paid for this."

  • Jewel plucked herself off of Lucifer. "Someone needs to kill Lucifel. But I'd rather not kill my own mother. If she's really in him, however, if there's no option, I don't know what I'll do. Trust me Lucifer, I can and will, if I have to."

The conversation only really made sense to the two of them, unless someone else knew jewels real relation to mother. Her mother, and the power her mother had.

Jewel walked towards the gates and spotted Elysia."Give me that fucking scum" Jewel hissed. No offence. But when she was dying I cared, now she's dead, Belials no longer here, I couldn't give a fuck about you sister. OH hell I'm talking to a corpse. Wait I'm not talking. Jewel rambled to herself. "Elysia. You're payments a room. Heres the key" She threw her a key and dissapeared into hell. "Should anyone give you hassel, the lower devils are nearly all men. Should anyone give you trouble just shout for me and I'll come and sort them out. Or I'll make Lucifer sort them out" She turned away and ran down the stairs, dragging her dead sister along the floor. To throw this corpse into the flames of hell, is feeding its fire Jewel hummed in her head as she made her way down the levels.

    --

Lucifer was left to think for a moment, he was thinking about what she had said quite in depth and was amused at his wifes regainal of her 'personality and mindset' "Yes I'm sure you will." He smiled to himself. Even he knew, she would kill him, to save everyone else, the same went for his brother which looked Identical and mother. The blind rage of mothers last living daughter, was something even he never wanted to fight fully against. Her poisionous words and venomous tounge, never nice to be on the recieving end of, unless of course, you're his brother.

He slowly started to walk towards hell and spotted Elysia who was fast returning to her humanoid form. "My dear, I'm assuming Jewel has given you your room and her word? If You need a larger payment, ask her, she wont kill you." Lucifer and his wife had a cold facade, but where both blessed and cursed by their hearts, ruthlessness and kindness didn't normally mix, but they seemed to in the two of them, and it was ususally their downfall, For the betterhood of mankind and ourown. For the worse of Us he said to himself in his head as he followed the trail of blood to his wife.

"The Flames of hell. Funny they're laughing yet." The manic laughter dripped from his mouth as he saw the trail through the flames and the unhappy faces of them. "Well Well Jewel. You'd better not have a laboratory as well" He sniggered with his words, following through the flames, what he found on the other side, he could never have expected.

Elysia was taken aback by Jewel. In a matter of hours she went from wanting to possibly saving her sister to treating her like common garbage. Granted all there was left was a body, which could be considered by some as garbage, but still, it was her sister.

But what did Elysia know about siblings and what goes on between them. She hadn't even known her mother, and her father was too melancholy to consider another bride. Elysia never pushed him to remarry. She didn't care enough to want a play mate and enjoyed the relative quiet and solitude of their two person home.

She was almost too stunned to catch the key Jewel had thrown at her, but she snapped out of it in time to hear her promise.

Lucifer had stopped in front of her, after Jewel walked off dragging her sister's body like a bag of trash, and reassured her that Jewel was not going to kill her.

"I only need one extra thing." She said before Lucifer walked off, "I need someone to train me. I want to take out Lucifel for Jewel. If he created that monster child, he deserves nothing less than to die at the hands of a monster child."

What was left of Elysia's demon side was fading away, but the scowl was still the same. The anger was still the same.

To create a child, then abandon it when it suits you. That is not the way of someone who calls themselves God. She let out a half a chuckle, I wonder what the humans who hold so dear their "God" would think if they saw him callously walk away from the child he created, so that it could destroy itself in the process of destroying others. Especially after they find out that he ordered it to crush a half dead woman to begin with.

  • What Lucifer saw on the other side was not to be discussed. He walked back up the stairs and stood, once again in front of Elysia.

"You want to train? I don't care who you are, how strong you are or anything of the sort. Those of the blood of the filth of the world, those of the base of the world like us can only kill each other its like a sick immortality." He paused for a moment. "We get injured. We act like its real but we always heal. Jewels sister Amythest should not have been killed by Belial. I would train you, I would honest. However I am not so fit for the task. I am a fighter by war and lords, commanding and swords. Belial is gone and the msot bloodlusting person left in hell is Jewel." He spoke with a commandeering tone, but was trying to watch what he said, he didn't want to confuse Elysia.

"I think Jewel would rather you didn't. If you come with me, I will Divulge in you in the story as to why." He haltered. "He wont only kill his own child because it is not what it should be, but he'd go to length of kill others and damage, fear strike, a woman to the state that she could no longer carry a child." He was waiting for her reply. He needed one relatively fast, in case Jewel was to hear. He knew he'd get an earful.

    --

Jewel sat in her room. Jewels. Like her, a room full of Jewels and she was the final piece. "Diamond...Amythest...Why The fuck haven't I died yet?" She thought to herself as she laid her sisters broken body out. "I cannot awake from the dead anymore mother, I'm that tainted. I'm that broken" A tear fell from her cheek. "I can controll life magic though. So why wont I?" The conversation was hopeless. She knew that. The one place few or none could find her and as far as she knew, not even Belial knew its whereabouts. She wasn't sobbing. It was a long endless tear, which trickled like treacle and glided to the floor as such, not even splashing at the bottom, but turning into a thick liquior. She grabbed a glass and placed it under her eye.

"Blood of the demon who loved the devil" She said, watching the glass fill with the tar like substance.

Elysia nodded as she listened to Lucifer. She moved away from the wall and signaled that she was ready to follow him.

Normally her offer to kill Lucifel would have been a powerplay. But this time it was sincere. She hated the way Lucifel treated the child, even if he was created to be a murderous monster, he was still a child deep down. She didn't agree that the child was bloodthirsty, she felt he simply didn't know any different. How could he, with Lucifel as his teacher?

Elysia was thinking like a human again, and the demon inside of her was arguing with her every thought.

He's no more a child than you are a human.

I'm half human. Don't forget that.

Half human by blood. But you've been raised in Hell, by Demons. You are, undoubtedly, a Demon. Even when you have these irrational, human ideas.

Blind rage and slaughter are rational?

Survival at all costs is.

"Demons." She muttered under her breath.

  • Lucifer began to walk. "Now listen. She can't hear in this stairwell" He said. Well, she couldn't hear, so long as she wasn't in it, no matter where you where, it always glanced on the red set circles in the sky and the shimmerig stars on the blackened gothic sky.

"It's a little shortened tale. Really. Jewel is one of the three triplets, born around the same time as myself, to the mother who created the world. Known as mother nature and a religionless, godless woman, who originally lived in the heaven she created with her daughters, at the time, her daughters where together yet it fell apart. Jewel was the Strong willed and different one, Diamond was the determined one and Amythest was the leadable one with a heart that could only be shattered, never broken like a diamond. Jewel soon became a political speaker in heaven, I myself at the time, would have had her killed. I hated her. She was stronger, her words where contagious, even to myself whereas mine where less so." He paused for a moment. "Then came the time of my brother. My twin who is identical to myself. We where brought up by Mother, but left. Eventually, we parted from her and Lucifel became the 'God' which had power over creation. This was much to Jewels dismay, and Diamonds. The first to fall, was indeed the sister by the name of such a precious stone, Diamond." His pauses where for the drama. It was only a suttle explanation, yet he knew it would help if she understood.

"Sorry to tell you this all the way thorugh. Diamond fell for a man named Adam. I think he was the first creation of Mother. Yet he was niether human demon or angel, he was like all of them in a creation. Mother had nothing to say about it, Eve did, but in the end, Eve fell in love with Belial. Diamond was in the way of lucifels plan-to get the secrets to life. But he wouldn't be able to get them. In the end, it all turned nasty. Amythest chose Lucifel over her sisters and her own mother. She treats her sister like trash in front of the new and the old, as a reminder of how those who leave the ones that bore them and cared for them behind, a reminder that traitors will not be forgiven. Even in death."

"It was blood up there. Jewel saught refuge in sex. Lustworthy and the biggest sinner in heaven. She became an oversexed, bloodlusting force in heaven. She wouldn't kill those who shared themselves with her. They might have killed themselves, or was that so? In reality, they dissapeared, used for experiments. Belial was the failed experiment which created a schitzopherenic person. A woman and a Man. He harnessed the power and therefore changed into one or the other, he could change his appearance and was truly unique. He was nearly alwyas at Jewels side. When Jewels family was taken hostage by Lucifel, and she was slung into eden, chained to a tree. She was told a few things, that if she didn't follow she would die." The hardest part for him. Watching his wife who was dying.

"For 30 days and 30 nights I watched her. I watched her intently and I was waitinf for her to make her mistake and die. She didn't I spoke with her and fell in love with her. Why I do not know, but I know I did. Then her sister was brutally tortured and killed, Diamond was a failure. Mother dissapeared and Amythest refused to help her family. It was them I guess I had sex with jewel and married her. In doing so, the sex part, more than once easily more than a few, she became pregnant. Unfortunately. Lucifel stabbed her child in her womb, she's pretty scarred from that. We led a rebellion and fell from heaven." He stopped.

"What does it mean? You wont ask or you might. I'm trying to asy, he banished the creations he hated to hell. His creations where taught things, if they showed any signs of thinking for themselves, they where killed or worse and even if they didn't or before they did they where used as pawns. he's always been a coward" Lucifers face had become much more gentle as he spoke about jewel, but much harsher as he spoke about his brother. He wanted his brother dead, by his hand. But it was unlikely highly.

"That man is a ruthless killer. A coward as well, mother knows he is a disease, a virus which cannot be eradicated. Or at least I would call him that, you could say the same of me really. Jewel is cursed with life as she puts it. She'd love to see Lucifel dead and her mother returned, but she doubts its likelyness. Mother, her mother is a part of Lucifel from what he said, but we are unsure. So we do not know. All I am saying is, you might be dealing with the devil at the moment, but you'll be dealing with God if you start at him."

Joora winced slightly at the sight of Lucifel's fist coming at her face. She was surprised and relieved when it hit air and stopped but realized that she was unable to move. Belial had trapped her to protect her. She made a mental note of this ability as she watched in horror as Lucifel unleashed his rage on the boy, her wings glowing brightly with fire and getting hotter with each blow as her own rage began to boil inside. She felt her heart breaking as Belial took the beating, barely letting out a whimper. By the time Lucifel had left the invisible shield was broken and she was free.

"Cross my heart and hope to die.."

Tears began streaming down her face as she listened to his little voice. She curled her arms and all of her wings around him, holding him to her bare body and nuzzling him as if he were her own child. She rocked back and forth and cried and whispered "I'm sorry" over and over again. Sorry for what she had done to him. Sorry for what Lucifel had done to him. She raised her head and wiped the tears from her face. She reached over to her nightstand to grab a kleenix, being careful not to move Belial, and blew her nose and calmed herself down. As she sat rocking back and forth she thought about Belial and how she was responsible for his regeneration and how much she disliked children but Belial was different. She came to the realization that as warped as it was she loved him as though she were his mother. She was responsible for his current state after all, even if Lucifel was the puppetmaster.

It was at that moment that she wrapped him up tightly in her wings and stood up slowly. She could not heal him and she cursed herself for not being able to do so but she was determined to find someone who could. She couldn't trust the angels. Not with this. There was only one way.

She looked down at Belial and smiled warmly. "Try not to move Belial. We are going to find someone who can fix your owies. No one can know I have you in my wings, okay? Oh... and the pretty girl. Her name is Eve."

She rummaged through her nightstand drawer and withdrew a small piece of silvery paper and a pen. She quickly scribbled a message "Belial is injured. I cannot fix him. Need to bring out Eve. Utmost secrecy." She folded the paper and sealed it with her personal seal and flew out of her room. She was of the mind to try to deliver the message herself but she had never successfully gained access to Hell and surely Lucifel would be watching her so she couldn't risk trying. She rousted one of the cherubs she used to communicate with demons in Hell and teleported them both to Earth. She did not want to stay long as she didn't want an unsuspecting human to see her and burst in to flames. She'd seen enough horror for one day. She whispered to the cherub that he must deliver the message to Jewel and no one else. She did not know her personally but knew she was Belial's only hope at the moment. She watched as the cherub disappeared down in to Hell. Satisfied she teleported back in to Heaven and went looking for some way to heal him. She was panicked now and felt as though she and Belial were in grave danger. Actually they were in danger. Lucifel might want to try to experiment again but this time on her or worse he may order that she kill Belial, neither of which she was prepared to do. Maybe not. Belial was essential and killing him would not gain what Lucifel desired so much. She found herself on level 7 wandering aimlessly through the streets looking for someone, anyone who could help her. She just hoped Lucifel wouldn't find her first.

Elysia listened intently. She had heard bits and pieces of the story before, but never everything in order and detailed. She was relieved that some of the worst stories she heard were untrue. Nevertheless, she began hating Lucifel more and more as the story went on.

How dare he "claim" the Throne of Heaven as his own? And how dare he destroy so many lives for his own greedy desires? Elysia was no longer surprised by the hate Jewel felt for him, or that she treated her sister's body like a rotted dog's carcass. Why give the due respect to a woman who abandoned her own family?

"What he has done in an unforgiveable wrong. Mother, Diamond, Jewel, that child...you. You've all been wronged by him." She felt her anger boiling up, her inner Demon was getting eager. It wanted to storm Heaven and slaughter everyone in sight to get to Lucifel. "I understand. I won't attempt to take him on myself. But when you are ready, please, call on me my Lord. I don't want any reward, I just want to see him dead."

Damn human, the Demon mumbled, even if we hadn't killed him, we would have died gloriously with the blood of a hundred traitors on our sword.

Can we focus here? She snapped back, There are more important things that need to be addressed here than your blood lust.

She toyed with the key in her hand, "Yes. Tell Jewel if she needs anything, anything at all, I am at her service."

What is this feeling? He wondered in a half concious daze as Joora rocked him back and forth. Something hot and wet dripped on his cheek, after a moment he realized it was Joora's tear. She's crying...for me? Belial didnt understand why. He was feeling strangely safe and comforted in Joora's arms, it was as if an empty place in his heart was beginning to fill.

As Joora stood up fresh lances of pain swept through is tiny body causing him to cry out. He quieted himself by breathing deeply and slowly. His body was in so much pain he slipped quietly into unconciousness to escape the fire of agony. Little did he know nitemares were awaiting him in the blackness.

~~

Light filtered through a sea of thick silver and gold foliage. Little Belial was sitting on a Rock watching his olderself lean against an ivory tree trunk. There was fruit in the tree. Rubies in the shape of apples with flickering flames in their cores dappled the beautiful white branches of this tree. Belial had one in his hand and was eating it while he read an old leather bound book in his lap. Adult Belial didnt seem to notice the little one, in fact, little Belial doubted anyone would notice him at all.

A young girl sat next to little Beli proving him wrong. "Who are you?" Beli asked the girl. She just smiled and pointed to the scene that was playing out before them.

A banshee's screech tore through the peace of Eden scaring the book right out of Belial's hands. "What in Heaven's name was that?" A woman with pale violet hair and angry golden eyes stood panting before him. Her face was contorted into a snarl and her cheeks were dusted with the flush of rage.

"How dare you eat the apples of my tree!" She snarled snatching the half eaten fruit from his hands. Belial, who had no idea he was in the wrong, grabbed the fruit back. "Eden is everyone's who are you to say this is your tree." He took another bite of the fruit to accent his point. This lady was not an angel as far as he could tell, and she seemed to think she had alot of authority.

"Mother gave me the seeds for this tree. I did not spend four centuries growing this treasure for some pompous theif to come snatch the fruits of my labor! This tree is sentient and fragile! You could kill it just by picking a fruit that isnt ready to be plucked." She grabbed the apple back and shoved Belial out of the way. Placing a hand on the tree she opened her mind to listen to its thoughts. It revealed that it had willingly given the apple to Belial by dropping it in his lap while he read. The young woman whipped around to face Belial, her embarassment turned to anger at his smug face. "This tree belongs to me! Stay away!" She stomped off to go cool her heels by her favorite pond.

Belial, who had managed to snag the apple back, took another bite. "So that was the famous Eve." He chuckled and left, book in hand.

little Beli turned to Baby Eve. "You always grew the bestest apples ever! May I have another one?" Eve sighed and rolled her eyes. "That's all you ever thought about was food and books." She reached up and snagged an apple. She tossed it lazily to Beli who caught it, tore it in half and offered half to Eve. She smiled and accepted the offer and together they watched the memories of Eden play out.

  • Jewel heard a familiar noise. Cherub She said to herself. She snapped out of her self hatred and pitying and remebered the only person who ever sent cherubs to her. "Joora." Once again, she was talking to herself. She looked around to see a small Cherub, he was floating to her room. Appeared to be covered by a shield at that point which vanished as he entered. She chased out of the flames and after it. Stumbling in an incredibly unladylike fashion up the stairs eventually coming face to face with the Cherub.

    Once glance at the personal seal, no doubt, it was Joora. She opened it and asked the Cherub to wait. She begain to read it, it read;
Belial is injured. I cannot fix him. Need to bring out Eve. Utmost secrecy. Her heart dropped. Could Jewel heal? Yes, yes she could. Mortal resemblence and magic endowed wounds could be healed through mere potions and lotions. She grabbed the red paper of hell and bleached it silver. She began to write, a longer letter, in slightly more detail but it could be like morse code to some.

"Injuries healed by potions of the mind and soul, those containing the elements from few. What is it that these entrail? Inability to explain? A passage may be set. You will not have to stay there in your bodily form. For a soul passed off as a body, can be seen as one to the most bright of the many.

What do you need? I cannot help you with Eve of Eden. Not yet"

She finished her letter and warped the writing. It was like she'd encrypted it.

She stamped it and waved it in front of the cherub.. "Only to Joora. Only. Anyone else and it will sound like a dinner invitation. The incantion, she should know" She fluttered it towards him and walked away.

"Take the fast route out of hell, now leave!" She said to it. "And tell her thank you again" Jewel bowed and smiled before backing out and back to the one place where she could be alone.

    --

Lucifer stood. "I'm not saying my brother is entirely bad, he is my rival. I am ultimately Biased, i can admit to that. I'm a devil afterall. Yet he is no nicer man than me and my information may be incorrect, my memories are not as vivid as they used to be and are only fragments which may indeed, be incorrect." Lucifers weak smile showed itself and he turned.

"I'll tell her. But she'll be very reluctant, especially in her current state. If I know Jewel well enough. As much as I'd like to see my brother dead. I'd rather not be enslaved to a curse." Lucifer started to walk away. "Hope you can find your room okay. And breathe" Lucifel stumbled to the spot where he found a rather, well injured would be a definate understatement, Raphael crawling across the floor.

"What went wrong? Falling in love with a lust loving sex addict possibly?" Lucifer smirked. " A MARRIED one?" He had to make a statement with the married part.

"Obviously not. I'm a traitor of the worst order, to heaven and hell, if thou cannot have what thou wants, thou shall kill it. Is the order I was given, against it to begin with a flailing. I'm a disease to the world."

"Then I'll exterminate the vermin" Lucifers sword came down hard and sharp. Well, all three of them. Two for wings, the hearts. One for the neck. The body lie on the floor and Lucifer clapped his hands, stepping away as the demons of the wall claimed the fresh corpse, they seemed to be ahving quite the party over it. Well, it was a highly spiritual angel, a good meal as far as they where concerned.

He continued to walk. He had no remorse for murdering a former comrade, heck it was a traitorous bastard. He came to the fire in the wall. "Jewel!" He yelled. "I know your there somewhere." His smirk was widening, and in the comfort of the bare level, he was welcome to be much much more sinister, and sexual at the same time. "OH come on Jewel!" He yelled. Waiting for her reply.

    --

"Go To hell." She hissed with a smile dragging him back into the room with her.

Llyandria listened to Faeun cautiously, she was not sure she could believe anything that was being spoken. Faeun started to walk away. Llyandria stood still for a moment, uncertain if it would be wise to follow. Faeun looked back at her and in that moment Llyandria stepped forward and began to follow her. They left the courtyard and walked down the street. The marble stones of the street were soft under her feet and for a brief moment, Llyandria felt content and even happy. The sun shone bright overhead and even among the rubble left from the great battle, Heaven still looked glorious in Llyandria's eyes. Yes...but anything is better than that prison...she thought to herself, snapping herself back to reality. They were nearing Faeun's home. Llyandria remembered it from before and as they entered it looked exactly the same. Faeun led her into the eating area and fussed over Llyandria to sit while she made something to drink. Llyandria took a seat and watched Faeun as she moved about the room. Her movements were quick and lithe as always. Llyandria had always thought that anything Faeun did could be put to music and would synch up perfectly no matter the beat. After a few minutes, Faeun put a cup of liquid in front of Llyandria. The steam rose up in little swirls from the cup and Llyandria looked at Faeun. "It's safe to drink, my friend." Faeun told her. "It's from the recipe book handed down from Gabriel. Every generation in my family adds to it, but the original recipes are the best." Llyandria took a cautious sip of the liquid and was suprised to find it cool and delicious despite the steam rising from it. They sat for a few minutes in silence, each drinking from their own cup.

After some time had passed and Llyandria had nearly finished her drink, she felt it was time to speak. "Faeun...why did you betray me?" Faeun sat with her head down, staring into her cup. Llyandria sighed and finished her drink. Faeun was still sitting there with her head bowed down and her right thumb nervously moving over the rim of her cup. "Faeun...?" Llyandria put her cup down onto the table, hard enough to make noise. Faeun spoke, "I didn't mean to betray you...I didn't want to...I couldn't tell you. The order came to me secretly in the middle of the night. It was from an anonymous sender but I could tell from the seal that it was from someone very powerful. I was ordered to leave immediately and deliver the message. I wanted to tell you but even you know the code I live by would not permit such a thing..."

Llyandria stood and walked to the entryway. Faeun followed in time to see Llyandria open the door to the quiet sun-filled street. "Yes, I can understand that. I also understand that without warning, just after the fall of the angels, which I saved you from with Dies Irae, I was ambushed by a powerful foe. A foe made more powerful by their fall from grace, whom I was already unspoken enemies with. I don't expect you to understand what it has been like, being imprisoned for millennia. Nothing but darkness and dirt and insects, chained like a dog inside my prison. No, I don't expect you would understand at all..." and with that final statement Llyandria stepped through the doorway into the quiet street.

Elysia stayed put, leaning against a wall, for a while after Lucifer walked off. She stared at the key in her hand. 8th Level. Three levels in a few hours. That had to be a record for any demon, undoubtedly for a half-demon.

After some time she moved from her spot on the wall and walked toward her home on the fifth level.

Soon to be former home. She thought.

Lucifer said we can ask Jewel for any extra that we need. The demon mused. We can ask her to allow us to punish those who wronged us.

First things first.

That again? You're too damn weak. I'll never understand how you stay the dominant side. I'm stronger than you in almost every way.

Except rationality.

Don't need rationality when you have power.

Rationality tempers power. There is no one to rule if you've killed them all.

The Demon huffed. This was a common argument between her two personalities. It knew it couldn't win this. Not that that fact would stop it from trying.

Sentimental bullshit. That's what your little goal is. Sentimental bullshit. Pure and simple.

The only simple one here is you. The human retorted.

Doesn't that make you simple too? This made Elysia pause mid-step and think. If her Demon side was simple, did that mean her human side was too? She pushed the question aside and continued her walk. Lost in thought she managed to make her way home in record time.

Once inside she sat down and wrote a letter explaining her promotion to her father, and offering her home on the 5th level to him. She knew he wouldn't take it. The place he lived now was the home he shared with her mother before she lost her mind. He wouldn't give that up. He'd pace back and forth in that dusty house lost in reverie until he, himself, lost his mind, if he could. Still, she was going to offer it to him anyway. It was too nice a home to leave to some of the demons around here. Sparsely decorated, but still nice.

There had been a time when she wanted to make it look like something she had seen in a magazine on Earth. After a few days of thinking on it, she couldn't shake how idiotic the idea was. She wanted to make a home in Hell, look like a picture from Earth. Most HOMES on Earth didn't look like the one in the picture, what was she trying to accomplish? Aside from there being ground below and air above, there was nothing comprable between the two realms.

She folded the letter and dropped it with a courier. She then packed her bags with her scant few belonging, locked the windows-and the door once she had exited the house-and grabbed her pass to the 8th Level. Before leaving she had tucked several small blades and assassins needles into her clothes. The Demons on Level 5 hadn't exactly given her a ticker tape parade when she arrived, she could only imagine the Demons on 8 being even less enthused.

As she walked, she replayed her conversation with Lucifer in her head. He had mentioned that killing his brother wasn't worth being held to a curse. A single question played in her mind: What curse?

  • "I didn't realise you had such an...extravagant room." He said. He was absolutely Awestruck. Lucifer had known Jewel for a while, whether he liked her, or not when he first knew her, didn't matter in reality.

    --

"It's made from the walls. as you can see the walls of hell hold a world so thriving it's insane" She said, pointing towards the commotion. "Lucky for us, they're insane and well hidden down here. If they are not, well we are rather loud, they likely know all our schemes powers and routines." She grinned with her words.

"Lucifer, I liked having this room hidden from you. I'd have been able to cheat on you, experiment" She deepened her voice slightly. "You see darling, it doesn't always work how you'd want it to. Well, what do you want?" She asked, standing in front of her potions. She couldn't hide the massess of diaries and books she'd written, there where so many.

The room was cluttered, but jewel encrusted. there where maps and plans, schemes of all sorts dotted around. The blueprints of hell, every nook and cranny written down, but it was to her eyes only, she had long ago learnt a spell for encryption, but she was still worried. If Lucifel was to find them she might as well wave goodbye and sign herself off to an eternity in hellish torture. Or death, much more grateful for the latter of the two.

    ---

Lucifer stood and watched. Jewel was begining to walk around the room, it was a light with magic. Yet he couldn't even sense it. "Jewel? Is this honestly magic?" He asked.

She started to reply, "It's the diamonds, they reflect the magic in such a way that its no longer magic in a sense, its nifty" She smield at him. He stopped and watched. "Watch that Elysia" He said. "You're going to kill me, I think I told her a defunct story of heaven." Jewel didn't have a reaction to that. She just smiled at him, something he's noticed that she'd been doing much more recently, even if it was only between him and her. He started to become more curious of the room, he knew Jewel had a nifty spell for encryption which she was once taught, but it was useless if you where a good guesser of words and weren't too stupid, still, the way the words moved when they where under the spell fascinated him.

"you keep everything..." He said. "Why can no-one ever read this stuff?" He asked opening a book he'd picked up. The letters jumped out of the page, quite literally, they where bouncing around like in a derranged version of a fairy tale. He loved watching it, he's seen encryption in Jewels books in their room and her personal study and in many books scattered around the lowest levels of hell. it occured to him he was either a little silly because he never tried to guess the codes, or he wasn't actually all that bothered about it. His pondering was getting him no where.

As she approached the gate to the 8th Level, a grizzled old Demon guard took notice of her and gave her a look most people reserve for rotting garbage in the summer heat. He stood to block her path and before he could say anything she flashed her key at him.

"Take it up with Jewel if you have a problem." She growled

Within a matter of moments, the guard's face went from disgust, to shock to anger. As Elysia passed him she heard him mumbling something about Lucifer being a weak cuckhold and the possibility of Jewel allowing "that filthy mongrel sleep in the Palace if it so pleased her." He then grumbled something about the "old days" that Elysia didn't bother straining to hear.

Walking through the 8th Level, Elysia drew the common stares, glares and grumbles. Those she ignored. What she couldn't ignore is the fact that the homes here weren't much better than the ones on the 5th Level. They were somewhat larger, but certainly no more ornate. She began to wonder if Demons even ever considered decorating their homes. The old and the powerful lived her, she expected their homes to reflect it in someway.

She approached the building where her room was located, then paused just outside it's doors. This was what she wanted, so why wasn't she happier about it.

Because the job feels unfinished. She thought. How can I be happy with a payment for something I didn't even do.

Oh will you please SHUT UP! The Demon yelled, Honestly, you do NOT have to wax philisophical on every little damn thing. Jewel wanted her sister and you gave that to her. She never said she wanted her alive. In fact she acted like her being dead would have been preferable. That runt took care of that part for you, you just finished the job you were sent for.

You're so crude.

She opened the door and walked to the reception desk. Behind it sat a chubby female demon who took no pains to hide the fact that she was bored. She glanced up from the book she was reading for a quick second, then returned to it.

"You're Jewel's?" She asked flatly.

"Yeah." Elysia replied just as flatly.

The woman stood from her chair and motioned for Elysia to follow her. As they went up the stairs the woman started talking in her flat, tired voice, "You don't have to worry about rent. That's taken care of. Food is on you though. There's a minifridge in the room. This isn't a boarding house, don't expect any meals from me. You can have a hot plate. That's it." She stopped in the middle of the stairwell and shot a glance over her shoulder, "Most importantly: NO PETS. I don't care if you are a 'friend' of Jewel's, you have a pet I'll toss you out." She started back up the stairs.

Elysia was confused, "A pet? You mean like a Hell Hound?"

"No. A Hell Hound would almost be preferable if you could housebreak one. I mean souls. I've had three Demons try to sneak human souls here. It's sick they way they treat those souls. They're here for punishment, not play time. Some of them even get...intimate with them. If you know what I mean."

Elysia knew too well.

"At least your mother was alive." The woman continued, "Don't look all puzzled. You're the only half human in all of Hell, and what your father did was considered scandalous by a lot of Demons. Word spread pretty quickly. Especially after she lost her mind. Shoot, I'm nearly 600 years old and I was shocked, haha."

Elysia sighed. She was so sick of living under that cloud.

"Don't you worry. I'm not like some Demons who think they're so great because they're 'pure'. Some of those Demons and Fallen Angels have had their share of affairs on Earth, plenty of their decendants are trottin around up there as we speak, they never knew love though. I don't hold anything against your father for doing what he felt was right, and you seem decent enough. Just don't cause me any trouble and we won't bump heads. Got it?"

"Yeah." She was still confused. The story was THAT well known? It actually reached into the higher levels of Hell?

They got to her room and Elysia unlocked the door.

"Enjoy your stay." The Demon woman said as she headed back down the stairs.

"Not sure I'll enjoy, but I think it'll definately be memorable." She muttered to herself.

She took a quick glance around the room and decided she'd look for a house in the morning.

  • While in Earth, Robin gathered a few items she may need to perform spells later on. This included certain flowers, plants, fresh water, gems and wood. These were the common ingredients she used.

Back in Hell, she had no idea where to go. The bar wasn't too welcoming the first time, Hell's Eden acted too strangely, and she had no clue where Jewel was. She wandered into the deserted areas of Hell. There were homes there, but all the windows and curtains were closed, and there seemed to be no one around. It was sandy, and dusty. There were holes in some of the houses, with broken parts. She thought she saw an eye peek out from one of the windows, but wasn't too sure.

From one of the intersections, a demon walked up. He was big muscular and glared right at her. Robin merely stared at him, without saying a word. Finally the demon spoke, "Who are you?"

"I - I -" she stuttered. What was she to say? That she was an angel? She thought it was pretty obvious she was an angel. She wasn't good at hiding that fact.

"Leave." The demon told her bluntly.

Robin blinked, "What?" Leave to where? And why would she have to leave, as far as she knew, demons didn't own neighbourhoods. She the demon was bigger than her, but she never actually fought a demon in Hell before.

Oh, there was certainly an eye watching from one of the nearby windows. Something interesting was going on outside, so naturally Tlanextli wanted to see it. Some cute little thing was getting bullied by one of the other demons.

For the last few days, Tlanextli had tried to be as inoffensive as possible to the other demons... which had not been too hard, considering how offensive demons generally are. As a result, they had left him alone for the most part, and he had not bothered them too much, either.

The Hand of Tezcatlipoca felt a thrill at seeing this little girl down here, though - any hint of conflict excited him. Still, though, it was not easy to see the demon was considerably larger. Tlanextli highly doubted any fight would last too long, unless the girl had something incredible up her cute little sleeves.

After a moment, the Aztec decided in favor of stirring things up a little himself. It was, after all, his job. Getting up from his spot by the grimy window, Tlanextli picked up his huge macahuitl and headed out onto the street.

Saber rattling would certainly be easy with the weapon he held. The macahuitl was about four feet long and easily eighteen inches wide all along the thick wooden blade. Studded along the edges with bits of sharp obsidian, sharks' teeth, and some talons, fangs, and nails of beasts not of the mortal world, the weapon looked like it would be all but useless in the hands of anyone much smaller than the man who now carried it.

Grinning, Tlanextli stepped out onto the road near to where the demon negotiated with the little girl. He spread out his green-feathered wings a little and shook them.

"Niltze!" he called in greeting to them both, his tone cheerful. Tlanextli would so have to move again after this to avoid getting killed, but whatever happened would totally be worth it.
