A tall, young man with golden blond hair that shined as if with a light all its own walked into the library and past Kristin and Matahiru. His sky blue eyes danced as he locked sight with Kristin and he smiled at her. It seemed like an eternity for him to pass by and break that sight.
He made his way to a table not too far, but not too close and sat down with a book. He began to read the book, silently mouthing the words as he went. Every so often, he glanced back at the table they sat at, smiling a dangerous and knowing smile.
The book he read was thick and bound in black leather. The golden letters on the binding and the cover were not English, or even resembling it. The words he mouthed were also not familiar.

Her? Interesting to him? The words only made the blush already on Kristins' face grow a deeper shade of red, and she averted her eyes again, not looking up until he indicated something... apparently the book he held in his hands. Her pale blue eyes moved over the cover and she smiled some. "I'd hardly say our culture is very interesting, but we all have our hobbies..." she said softly.

It was then, as she was trying to search for something else to say, that the distinct feeling of being watched swept over her. She lifted her head, only to find her eyes meeting with a pair that belonged to someone all too familiar. He held her gaze for a long time, and she felt her body stiffen. Her breathing was short, shallow, as if in a form of panic, and there was a tremble in her hands. What on earth was he doing here? How had he known where to find her?

After a long while, she finally managed to tear her eyes away, and found herself torn between leaving and staying put. She could run... but where? If he knew where she worked and apparently now where she spent most of her time... who's to say he didn't know where she lived?

Oh her father would never react well to that... Never mind that it wasn't her fault, and she'd never seen the guy before a few nights prior. Biting her lower lip gently, she looked down at her things, then back at Matahiru. "I... uhm... I'm sorry, but I think I should go..."

Day Three Morning

Takai knocked on Elisabeth's door and then opened it without waiting for an answer. This was the norm between them as they'd known each other since Takai had moved to the states as a young child. They knew each other better than anyone else and had grown up almost as siblings, excepting Elisabeth's persisting crush.
He shut the door behind, just in case Skye were looking. Strange, it must seem to anyone else, that Elisabeth would be uncomfortable with another woman seeing her in her room but Takai could walk in while she was completely nude and she wouldn't even hesitate. They were as comfortable with each other as if they were lovers, though Takai would never take that step.
Takai sat on her bed and began to speak but stopped, finding a lack of words. This was the first time that comfort between them seemed strained. He didn't like it, but if it was because of Skye, he would accept it rather than risk anything going wrong with his new childer. He questioned if that was really fair to Elisabeth or Mala who had been by his side most of this life and the last, following him faithfully through it all. But then again, life was never really fair.
He then casually offered, "I made breakfast, if you're hungry. I even made some of those cream cheese and strawberry things you like so much." His voice was without concern, but he knew she could read him well enough to know his emotional state.

day 3 morning

Elisabeth just stared with those big, childlike eyes, silently as Takai entered and mentally anguished. She knew that her few actions and words this morning were making him squirm and that she could easily manipulate him in this state, but something was different this time. She wasn't certain of how but she knew Skye had something to do with it. What had this woman done to her Malkav?
When he finally spoke, to offer her breakfast, she took in his feelings and read them carefully, as though his voice were a book, telling her everything she wanted to know. This little trick was one of Mala's that had carried over to this life, the ability to read people so well. It was how she knew when she met another like her, what told her to cling so persistently to Takai.
Elisabeth walked over to Takai, shifting ever so slightly to something in between her and Mala, and lifted his chin so he was looking up into her eyes. She then straddled him and kissed his cheeks, forehead and nose. "My silly Malkav. I could never let you go."
She jumped up, her long ringlets of blood red hair bouncing and skipped out of the room, to the breakfast Takai had promised. She looked truly like a child in both appearance and stance.

Day 3
Morning

Skye sat at the table, still poking at her eggs with her fork, but not eating. Finally though, she set the fork aside and let out a sigh, taking a sip from the glass of water she'd gotten for herself. Her mind was continuously mulling over the girl... and Takai's relationship with her. Was she really just a roommate? She couldn't help but wonder...

But then again, this Mala was in a child's body. She couldn't picture Takai wanting any part of that. Malkav perhaps, but she also didn't know that side of him hardly at all, let alone well enough to make a decision about what she thought along those lines.

It was as she was sitting there, spinning her glass slowly and watching the water dance within it, that Mala made herself known. She was all bounce and curls and sunshine tinged with blood. The mental image that filled her head made her shudder... Like a blood moon, only opposite... she thought.

Glancing up at the other girl, she said nothing before looking back down, still politely waiting for everyone to either come and sit at the table, or grab a plate and go elsewhere to eat.

Day Three Morning

Takai found himself both frustrated and relieved when Elisabeth finally responded to his presence. He was frustrated that she was shifting, likely not even consciously but he was relieved that she at least wasn't angry. He wasn't even sure why, since her demeanor was likely just an act, but for some reason he took comfort in it.
He followed behind as Elisabeth skipped out of the room. His walk was the cold and quiet to her bright and bounce and despite being such opposites, they somehow complimented each other a little too well. It really was no wonder that his male lovers had often questioned if they really were just friends, but then, they weren't just friends. They just weren't lovers. Takai had long since given up trying to define what exactly he and Elisabeth were and just accepted it as it was.
He joined both women at the table, taking a seat between them to eat his own breakfast silently, not looking up at either, almost afraid of what might be going on between the two.

day 3 morning

Elisabeth sat cheerfully across from Skye and dove into the strawberry pastries, smiling up at Skye, every so often. She had no intention of letting this new thing ruin her breakfast and these really were her favorite.
So she sat, humming a song that he was sure none of them knew, enjoying her food. She would occasionally giggle as if someone had told a joke, and give Skye some of the most provocative looks as if inviting her to bed.
All the while, her feet were brushing up against the others under the table. She didn't acknowledge it and it was always so brief a touch as to be easily dismissed as accidental.

Day 3
Morning

Skye had waited for them to sit and begin eating, and it would appear that they had. Where Mala had been all bounce and perk, Takai had seemed cold, distant. It brought a chill to pass through her, but she said nothing, simply picking up her fork and setting into her food.

She didn't eat quickly, and kept her eyes on her plate most of the time, only glancing up the first few times Mala's feet brushed against her own. After about the forth time though, she decided it couldn't be accidental. Instead, she only brought her legs in closer to her chair, tilting her feet back to wrap the ankles around the legs.

Still she ate though, doing her best to all together ignore Mala's behavior, most especially the looks she'd been given her. It was unnerving, to say the least, and it put her even more on edge than she already was. She didn't eat all of her meal, her appetite mostly gone, but did make sure to eat a little of all of it, so that Takai wouldn't take offense or think she didn't enjoy it.

Finally have stomached all she could, she stood up and moved to the sink without a word, cleaning her plate, glad for those few moments of reprieve with her back to the girl at the table. At least then she couldn't accidentally catch those looks being sent her way.

Day 3 Afternoon

Cassandra smiled at his offer of a movie and gladly sat down to watch with him. She really didn't focus too well on the movie though as her mind was still going over David. She remembered Saeraphena's warning from the night before and knew that this was a dangerous life she lived, but she couldn't help but want to be closer to him.
As she debated in her mind, Cassandra was unconsciously scooting closer and closer to David until she eventually had her head resting on his shoulder. It wasn't until she had turned the thoughts over several times before she realized what she had done and blushed hot with embarrassment.
She silently hoped he would not make a point of it, but found all her previous concerns replaced with the panic of him rejecting this. Cassandra couldn't remember being this nervous before in her life and all over a simple touch? This wasn't like her at all.

Elisabeth cleared her plate shortly after Skye got up from the table and practically tossed her plate into the sink. She skipped over to Skye and kissed her cheek quickly and unexpectedly and then back to Takai, gave him the same little peck.
"Mala really must be going as she has class today. Should Mala's friend arrive before she returns, keep him here for her, alright?" she spoke in the third person, in a bubbly, child's voice.
She grabbed a bag off the couch on her way and bounced out the door, leaving an air of awkwardness behind her.

Takai gave no response to Elisabeth's kiss or her goodbye. He continued looking at his plate, eating slowly. When he finally moved, he abandoned his half-eaten breakfast and found himself wrapping his arms around Skye from behind.
Takai pulled her close and buried his face in her hair, breathing her in and whispering, "I'm sorry she's like that."
His hands found a comfortable hold on her waist and his lips moved down to kiss her neck. He held her close as if his touch might somehow make all that had just happened go away.

Day 3 noon

David felt her on his shoulder and wrapped an arm around her as they watched the movie. Something about her was warm and inviting, and had been for awhile. She was going to be able to help him a lot along the way, and together they could likely help many others. The idea made him smile. He took that smile and lay a single kiss on her forehead. Remaining perfectly still he continued to watch their movie.

<Seems like a good opportunity>

Yeah... I think you are right.

<I'm still here you know. There will be a time when we will be more closely integrated. Once you are ready. I wish I could be easier to handle, and I am sorry for that.>

No big deal. We'll be able to figure it out eventually man.

<Yeah. Anyways... go enjoy yourself.>

Day 3
Morning

Skye found herself frozen when Mala kissed her cheek, and after the girl had left, she stood silently, facing the sink, hands on the edge of it, white-knuckling in her grip. Her mind was a whirlwind of thought, but the most maddening thing was that she wasn't sure why. It wasn't so much that she couldn't think that bothered her, but that she couldn't decide why it was that the other girl bothered her so much.

Could it have been that she was jealous? Jealous of a girl who looked far younger than herself in body and in face? But why would she be? She had no real right... Takai... Malkav... whoever he was, she'd only known him a day... hardly twenty four hours... And that girl had known them for far longer...

His arms wrapping around her brought a soft gasp to her, but she felt herself relaxing back into his embrace. The way he smelled her hair, kissed her neck, and held her so close made her smile. At least in moments like these she knew she had nothing to be jealous of. It was her he was holding... It was her he was whispering to.

Turning slowly, she lifted her eyes to look into his own. "What makes me so important that you risk upsetting her?" she asked softly, though it was obvious from the look in her eyes that it wasn't a prideful question, but an honest one. Perhaps knowing what made him feel the way he claimed to... would help her to understand why she felt the way she did toward him.

Her arms slid up, snaking around his neck, one hand running through the hair at the back of his head. "What makes you... want me?" she whispered. Her head tilted forward and she let it rest against his own, eyes meeting his again. "What makes me want you?"

Morning

He smiled at the sight of her blushing he gave a bit of a laugh "you're certianly adorable. Especially with all that blushing!" he stated with a cute laugh more or less. "It is ! I've never seen so many interesting things in one country before!" he stated with a soft laugh. "some of the urban legends i read are funny! It makes me laugh that some people believe those sorts of things!"

He'd smiled to her, then he noticed her gaze be adverted, to somewhere else of course. He looked up then following her gaze towards the man across the way from him. That hair was a nice color, oddly pleasing to his eyes, but something about the man making Kristin so uneasy made him uncomfortable. He looked back to the girl and he reached his hand up as if he was going to shake her out of her daze.

Matahiru placed his hand upon her shoulder then "Are you alright?" he asked noticing the fear in her eyes. The confusion and indecision. What was wrong? why was this man making her feel this way. What did that girl know about that man that frightened her so much. "Go? but why? what is wrong Kristin? Is it him? that man? " he stated as he looked to her in confusion. "It will be okay. whatever is bothering you about him i won't let him bother you." he stated with a smile. he got up then and moved around to the other side of their table. moving his things to that side of the table and siting down. He was tall enough to block the view of the other man from her and her from the other man's view and he smiled to her calmly. "Is that better?" he asked as he brushed the trands of his raven-black hair over his shoulders a little again.

Day 3 Afternoon

Cassandra was thrown off completely by the arm around her, but didn't show it. She had not expected him to be so responsive and found it only made her all the more nervous. Watching the movie, she found herself completely unable to focus, but laughed when he did and seemed as though she were thoroughly enjoying herself.
She then found her mind wandering in a different direction. Cassandra had always both hated and loved her name, as it was more than appropriate given the visions she had been prone to since childhood. One such vision was slowly taking over her thoughts, clouding both her mind and her eyes.
Cassandra found herself lost completely in the vision, her eyes taking a glazed over look and her expression dropping to lifelessness. Her body slumped and her responses stopped. She just sat, perfectly still, somewhere entirely else.
In her mind though, there was chaos that could not be seen, heard or felt from the outside. The chaos was imperceivable, but her still silence would be worrisome should it be realized.

Day 3 Afternoon

Cassandra's body sat motionless as her soul was pulled into the world of prophetic visions, but she wasn't alone this time. It had been almost a decade since someone else was pulled into her second sight but she knew instantly, recognizing the feel of another with her, another in this sacred place of her own. The last time, she brought with her the closest and dearest friend she had, but this time, she had no idea how this other got there.
Cassandra, her black wings unfurling, as she always had her wings in this place, looked around the chaos surrounding her. The vision would clear with time, the chaos receding but for the moment, she was more focused on finding the other presence. All she could see was the chaos the always preceded her visions and so she closed her eyes and focused internally.
She could feel her... yes, definitely a woman. Cassandra felt her heart beating, as if it were her own. She could hear this woman's breath, as if it came from her own breast. She felt her as if she were herself and this left Cassandra both confused and at peace.
Feeling so close to someone who had invaded your most personal and secret of places would normally have alarmed her, but Cassandra felt as though she knew this other presence, as if this person had been missing from her life up until now. She sighed softly.
Opening her eyes, she was finally able to see her.

Day 3
Morning

Skye blinked several times, her vision going blurry. "I... I..." she began, but wasn't able to finish before her eyes rolled into the back of her head, her body going slack. Her knees gave way beneath her, all the strength and tension that had been holding her up disappearing.

The world spun around her, and it took a long time to stop, but when it did, she was surrounded by chaotic colors and sounds. Her eyes opened, but she couldn't make anything out. She couldn't hear anything, either. Whimpering, she looked around her as she took a shaky step forward. "Takai?" she called, though she knew somehow that he wasn't there.

She couldn't feel him anymore, and that frightened her. Tears slid down her cheeks... or at least, she thought they were. "Where am I?" she murmured, trying to walk around, only to feel her head spin.

"Hello?"

Day 3 Afternoon ((not that time really exists here ^^))

When Skye came into view, Cassandra could see she was frightened and rushed to her. She grasped onto Skye's shoulders and looked her in the eyes. Her tears only increased Cassandra's urgency.
"Please, don't worry. You're safe here. This is my place and I would never let harm come to a visitor here." she spoke firmly and assuredly, unsure if Skye could even see her yet. This place had strange effects on those unused to it and even though she'd been here more times than she could remember, she couldn't see Skye at first.
Keeping her grip on Skye's shoulder with one hand, Cassandra raised the other to wipe away her tears.
"My name is Cassandra and you're in a plane apart from the physical where visions of prophecy are shown to me. I'm not sure how you got here. Were you trying to? Can you even hear me?" she asked trying to resist the urge to shake her. Jarring her aware would only make it that much more frightening, so she tried to be as gentle as possible.

David moved slightly as he reached for his soda as he realized Cassandra was asleep.

Great... this is clearly not her idea of a good time. Gah, im an idiot.

<Try again slickshit, she's not conscious>

Yes... we call it sleeping.

<Check her pulse than>

David sighed and obliged. Her heart was racing as though she had been sprinting.

<Yeah, that's what I thought. Your new girfriend is a prophetic. But this isn't like a vision I have ever seen. Lay her body out and make sure she keeps breathing. It might be that someone is knocking on the other side of her mind.>

WHAT?

David listened patiently as he unfolded Cassandra and lay her out onto the bed.

<I think She is a type of psychic. I thought as much when she was probing you when she first noticed you had awakened. She hadn't shown any other signs until now. She's in the middle of what I can only guess is a vision. You dont have my mindsight glyph yet, so you can't look in , and i doubt i can use such a massive glyph in your body without you taking more damage. What you are basically going to have to do is take care of her. If she stops breathing you are gonna hafta bring her back. That part I can help with.>

Great...

David watched closely as he stroked his hand across her forehead. waiting patiently as she endured this.

Skye felt the pressure of hands on her, but couldn't see anyone. She felt... rather than heard, the voice that was speaking to her as well. It seemed to drift through her mind, though it's words and the meaning behind them were clear as day.

It took a few moments, but finally she closed her eyes, concentrating for a long moment. If this is a dream... please let me wake up... she thought, but when she opened her eyes found herself to be disappointed. She was still surrounded by the riotous colors and no other sound but the talking and breathing of the other woman in front of her.

Her eyes landed on Cassandra, and she saw her clearly. The wings... almost like Malkav's she thought, looking at them, before back to the girl in front of her. "Why am I here? Where is Takai?" she asked, looking around, then back at the girl who called the place her own.

She couldn't feel Eislynn either, nor her other side, the one who called Malkav sire. She felt for the first time since she'd first awakened that she was truly alone in her own mind... and that was frightening. "I wasn't trying to get here... I don't even know what 'here' is..."

Day 3 Afternoon

Cassandra's body, now lain out on the bed, was motionless still and her eyes stared at nothing, glazed over and lifeless. Her breathing slowed as her pulse increased. The strain was showing on her body, as each rise and fall of her chest was labored and heavy.

Meanwhile, in the otherworldly place, Cassandra shook her head but kept her eyes locked with Skye's.
"I'm not even sure who Takai is, but if you were with him moments ago, than he's still with your body. This place is not physical, just a manifestation of the soul." she explained, still wiping at the tears.
Her other hand drifted down from her shoulder however, and found a place holding Skye's hand. Cassandra half smiled, trying to reassure this woman who felt like a part of her and squeezed her hand gently.
"I don't know how you got here, but considering the nature of this place, it must be important. Perhaps you have the gift of second sight as well and this is your first vision. Most have their own place, but I've made it my life, helping others discover the parts of themselves that aren't of this world, so maybe this is Iosa's way of asking me to help you?" Cassandra stopped then, finding that she had been rambling.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to go on like that. What is your name?" she asked with a genuine smile and another soft squeeze of Skye's hand.

Day 3
Morning

Skye looked at the other woman, and only nodded slowly, trying to take in all that she was saying without becoming overwhelmed... that seemed to be a theme this past week, her being overwhelmed or waking up to so many things so suddenly. Her mind was still reeling from finding out she had a "true" self, and now this? The possibility that she could be like this woman before her? Able to have visions?

"Look... I just found out yesterday that I'm not just me... that there is someone... something else living inside of my body with me. Two somethings, now, actually... And now you're going to try and tell me I could a psychic?" She lifted a hand running it through her own hair before looking back at the woman. "My name is Skye," she added calmly.

"But why on earth would I be here? I mean... I was just in Takai's kitchen doing dishes and talking to him and then... wham... I'm here talking to a girl I'm not even sure is real about things that three days ago I would have laughed at and told you you were crazy for."

She paused for a moment before looking back to her. "And who is Iosa?"

Before he could even respond, Takai found Skye wilting in his arms. He grabbed hold to keep her from hitting the ground, panicked and lifted her up, into his arms. Looking at her face terrified him as nothing moved and her eyes seemed dead. Her breathing had slowed which scared him even more. He quickly moved her to the couch, laying her down and holding her head between his hands.
"Skye? Skye, please, wake up!" he frantically called to her empty body. "Skye? What's going on? What happened?!"
Takai's eyes were welling with tears as he tried to desperately wake her, but to no avail. He kissed her gently and stared silently stunned at her soulless body.

Day 3
Morning

Kristin turned those wide pale blue eyes on Matahiru slowly, watching as he moved between her and the man. His words made her lower her gaze quickly, and she chewed on her lower lip as she tried to think of a way to answer him. Normally, she'd just be blushing and being flustered by his words of how adorable she was, but now her thoughts were taken up by the man who'd come to her work only a few days before.

"He... just... I mean..." she stammered, voice quiet as she groped for an explanation of her odd behavior. Finally she sighed, seeing that the truth, as unbelievable as it probably would be, was more believable than anything she could come up with.

"A few nights ago, I was working the overnight shift at my job... and he came in. Called me Schaelynn... and Moonbeam... and he... he uhm..." she blushed deeply now, though it was obviously not a good thing this time around. "He kissed me... and he gave me a card with an address on it telling me to go there the next day if I was ready to 'come home' or something like that."

She sighed, looking back at him. "I'd never seen him before, I don't know who he is... he knows where I work and now where I go to school..." She trailed off here, her words sounding more and more desperate. "He frightens me," she finally stated, her voice choked with tears as they welled in her pale eyes.

Day 3 Morning

When his line of sight was blocked by Matahiru, the man with the golden hair stood up, gathering a few books and his bag. He walked across the room and stopped beside their table.
Giving Matahiru a devious smile, he spoke in a voice both callous and cold. "You'd do well to stay out of my way boy."
He then gave Matahiru an almost playful punch to the shoulder, one that from an outside point of view, looked like two friends paling around, but was hard enough in actuality to leave a nasty bruise.
He turned and winked at Kristin, then, smiling a much warmer smile and his voice filled with that warmth as he spoke to her. "Moonbeam, I missed you last night. Do promise you'll come home soon? You've got your beloved so terribly worried."
He then sauntered off with a toss of his golden locks, giving no sign of care for a response from either party, leaving the library.
