Syn hovered there, his arms crossed head cocked to one side, he was just....studying....this was the first time he'd actually gotten a chance to study an angel..even for this long. He raked his gaze over her again and again, never understanding why she wouldn't have stood and fought...all the others had..what was so diffrent about her? His ears flicked as he heard the whish of a blade through air, and he turned, catching the blade in his fist. His purple gaze turned back to the other demon as blood squished out from beneath his clenched hand.
"I ignored you....don't make me regret that little one." Synful turned all the way and he quirked an eyebrow.
"Don't I know you?" he asked quietly.
"You.....you're...you're the one on all those wanted posters aren't you..." A long pause and then Synful smiled.
"Well done." He bowed.
"I take it you two are 'friends'?" He turned his head to the angel as he looked over his shoulder, and his lip sneered as he said that last accursed word.
"Very well...this Angel I will not harm." He tossed the demon back his dagger and nodded his head.
"I, as you must have heard, am Synful Eden, but please Syn if you will....who are you?"

::[HIKARI]My eyes teared up at the conversation. I knew Ive seen that Marr demon before but i couldn't figure it out... I flew away slowly, breathing a sigh of relief "whew.. maybe he forgot about me... I didnt want to get you caught up in this, little one" I said to the kitten and it mewed at me. I smiled and stroked her head gently and flew off silently.
I took note to Syns name and his appearance.. too bad he was such a jerk.. he was a tad cute but I brushed it off. he WAS a demon after all...
I had no desire to kill anyone or anything, even of they threatened my won life. I didnt like bloodshed... No pain... Ive witnessed too much if it in my life to see or cause any more.::

"Friends, I have no understanding of the word. I could tell you definition, but it holds no meaning for me."

"Marr", he replied. "I am Marr", his eyes were changing. There was anger there now and wickedness were shining in their depths. "But, of course I've heard of you. Stories about you circulate everywhere."

"You now know my name, but perhaps when you asked who I was you meant more than that. My crimes, maybe?
I did some experiments . . ." He trailed off his mind pictured a white labratory caked with different color blood.
"I'm told they wer unethical even by demon standards. Supposedly a demon should not torture other demons without reason. We are supposed to kill other things. I killed everything that came into my hands.

I needed something to test my poisons.

But, they said I was warped. I felt I was fair. I killed everything equally. Different species. Child, adult it did not matter to me.

You may have heard stories without my name attached".

Marr was smiling now. A deeply sadistic smile of no regret except that of capture. "Not everyone can be, as you call it, 'sane'." He had several other daggers mixed with poisons under his coat. He was havingfun decideing which to use.

Syn only smiled, he'd really wanted to know his name...wanted posters were so boring, he never paid any attention to them. His smile turned wider, his ego gaining a much needed prod.
"Oh? I hadn't been aware that there were any stories about me." Liar.
Syn waved his hands in front of him.
"Oh..so that's what you did...well, far be it from me to decide what is sane and not...you did it for yourself...that's fine by me. Live and Die only for yourself and you can't go wrong." His hand slid back to his sword, he was glad to have met such a one that followed his code of living...but he wasn't about to be caught off guard. There were dangerous things that lurked behind that face...none of which Syn wanted to meet.

Joy had moved away. With a sigh, she perched on the edje of a far off cloud and just began to think again. She had met three new creatures today. Marr, Hikari and Syn. Two were demons, one was, like herself, and angel. She had never seen any of them before and wondered if either of them had seen her. She had only known Marr a few moments, but in those few m,oments, she felt all the pain inside of him, and how shy and relieved he was that both Hikari and herself had spoked to him and not cast him out, like most other angels would do.

Marr was a good actor, you needed to be to manipulate people and situations.

For a momment, when he was talking to Joy and Hikari, he had felt a hint of regret. But he now realized he had only been reflecting their veiws and tring to experience emotions he did not really feel. He was tired, careless.

He wasn't doing much acting now. Just a bit of deception, but the other demon wasn't falling for it.

I haven't heard an stories about him, Marr thought. He doesn't appear to have heard of me either, but he doesn't seem bothered by what I've done.

Marr didn't miss the movement. He looked at the sword.

A close range weapon. Shit.

The other demon wasn't letting his guard down.
Marr considered throwing another dagger, but knew he couldn't try it while the other demon had his guard up.

He frowned. His weapons depended on suprise. If it came to a head-on attack he'd have to hope the other demon came close enough and didn't try to skewer him from afar.

Was Syn going to attack? Marr licked his lips thoughtfully. Part of him wanted to fight Syn. To fight, to win, to kill. But, he didn't know how well he'd hold up. Too weak, too tired. And Syn was probably aware that he was dangerous, he'd have to try to look peaceful.

He smiled.

Yotsuba still staring into the sky above her, started to walk up to the highest part of the hill. The stars had started to come out, they were beautiful, but she was more interested in something else that was going on. As she walked up the hill she turned and peered over her shoulder at Saki, "You may want to put your sword away..." She then turned her attention back to the sky. She knew something was going on up there, the angel's aura had seemed to vanish, or at least move far enough away that she couldn't sense it. The other aura's were still there, two demons. Why did they have to have wings? She wanted to badly to get involved, but couldn't without flight. Though, she did have an ability that could get her up in the air, but if there was a fight going on her ability would turn into a disadvantage. She let out a heavy sigh and crossed her arms one over the other. "It doesn't seem like they will come down to my level..." She muttered looking to see if Saki had actually followed her.

Placing his longsword back to its proper place he stands behind her a few feet from her looking up at the sky and then looking at her. "Sense something dont you. Think we should wait to see if they will come down to our level." Gets up to her and then stands there crossing his arms one over the other looking up at the sky again. Tapping his finger on his arm waiting for them. "Why do we have to wait this is boring I wanna fight."

::[HIKARI]Landing in a tree, I took cover and pulled the branches down, hopefully the two hadn't seen where I landed. panting heavily, I lay the small kitten in my lap. She was frightened, but curled into a ball and slept in my lap none the less.
I stroked her gently and looked up at the sky. The dark aura surrounding me made my stomach churn. I wanted to go home... but I couldn't go home... I was stuck here... for how long... only God would decide my fate.::

She looked over at Saki and chuckled a little. "You want to fight? You don't even know whats going on" She stated as her glance went back up to the sky. It was harder now to try and see anything, the stars made it more difficult to tell anything. If weapons clashed it could easily be missed and mistaken as a star. "I do sense something..." She paused sighing once more. "But I can't tell much, other then it's two people and they appear to be demons" She looked back over at Saki, who was following her just as he claimed he would. "There was an angel, but I can't sense that aura anymore"

Smirking some looking over to Yotsuba. "Yeah I do want to fight even if I dont know whats going on. You say there was an angel aura did it just vanish. If so those two demons must have something to do with it dont you think." Rotating his right should cracking it as he rotated it cracking his neck in the process. "Their chickens if they stay up there. Normally a demon would go for anybody or anything no matter who or what it is. I killed some back home so I know." Laughing softly to himself standing beside Yotsuba.

Syn inclined his head, returning the smile. He rolled the hilt of his sword in his palm, tossing it and catching it again and again..he couldn't explain what it was...this feeling that was creeping along the bottom of his stomach. It was cold and empty, he didn't want to kill Marr...but if he acted on that malicious glint...then he would have no choice.
"You and I are too alike." He muttered at last. He rolled the weapon around his wrist as if bored, but his eyes were locked.
"If you want to try your hand then go ahead...but." He grimaced and made a face...the air was cold and thin where they were and Syn's small wings were cramping..he shouldn't have been in flight for this long.
"At least wait until I'm on the ground will you?" He motioned with a crooked finger and made a dive, landing in the widest area that he could find, far from any trees or cover. Syn knew he was vunerable...but what challenge was there, if he could take cover? What challenge was there if he knew he could win...that feeling that he couldn't place...was anticipation.

Yotsuba blinked a few times, were her eyes playing tricks on her or had she really just seen someone's decent. Her tail started to move about frantically, she wasn't exactly sure what she had seen. She was almost positive that one of the two auras she had felt had moved, it must have been what she saw coming down to her level. She wasted very little time standing on the hill questioning herself and took off heading for where she thought the person landed. She ran rather quickly, and she didn't make a single sound as she moved. It was a small show of just how talented she was, being able to move at a high speed and without making a sound. It was almost like she was running on air.

She soon came to a wide open clearing with no trees or shrubs of any kind. Ordinarily she probably would have kept herself hidden until she could properly evaluate the situation but due to the lack of things to hide behind she stood near the edge of the clearing, easily seen. Her eyes scouted the area only to stop upon a man who appeared to be waiting for something or someone. A very faint grin came across her face. This must have been one of the demon auras she felt before. 'Interesting' She thought to herself as she stood and watched. She too wondered if the other demonic aura would come down from the sky's. She was somewhat eager to see what was going on, her tail frantically trashing about was proof enough.

Marr had a dagger under each fingertip. It would be so easy to strike now, but he decided against it.

In one showy movement he drew his wings in and began to plummet towards earth.

He was rolling Syn's words through his mind. Alike? Interesting. But there was something that lurked behind Marr's eyes that did not appear to lurk in Syn's. There was no doubting Syn's intelligence. But had he ever killed and tortured for the enjoyment of it? Marr doubted it.

Right before Marr hit the ground, his wings went out like a parachute and he landed lightly. It was quite a showy move. Unessessary and dangerous. The adreniline had Marr bouncing on his toes, grinning.

::[HIKARI] i watched on from my perch in silence. Were they fighting over me? I was too far off to hear what they were saying. Their anger was a cloud of demonic aura that surrounded them and mixed up above them. My hair moved gently with the chi they were emitting and I took a deep breath and opened my wings a bit. This was going to be a long fight.. The kitten stirred in my lap and rolled over. I put my hand over her, in case she lost her balance, but I never moved my eyes off the enraged demons before me::

Looked around him shocked noticing that she had gone he looked around and sensed her aura in the woods. Turning towards the woods he runs into the woods jumping from tree branch to tree branch until he came up upon Yotsuba. Stopping on a tree a few feet from her he looks down at her and then looks up spotting the man.

Looking down at Yotsuba seeing the grin on her face he smirks wondering what she would do next. He whispers to her softly letting only her to hear it "What do you take of this man Yotsuba. I wonder what he is waiting for?" Looking up towards the man his crimson eyes flickered a little. l

Syn didn't face Marr, not fully, his body was turned sideways and only his head was turned. His stance was stiff and concrete. His eyes flickered a little with jealousy..his wings were never as large as the other demons he'd known...they had always been stumped, only suitable for gliding, he'd almost killed those that had dared to mock him because of it...but that was when he was young...stupid..he'd kept his envy, but learned to control the anger that stemmed from it. He adjusted his wings, setting the velvety red leather flat against his back, molding them to his uniform.
He watched Marr and his bouncing, his stomach tightening all the while, he wasn't stupid, and he knew that unless he could get a lock on his position he was sure to miss his first strike...that was..if he was the one to make it. His knuckles turned white in his grip and he hunkered down, bending his knees in order to have momentum when he moved.

Yotsuba didn't bother moving when Saki finally showed up near her. She was somewhat surprised that it took him so long to catch up. She had watched the other man come down from the sky, he had such a flashy entrance. She continued to watch the two men intently. She was quite curious, especially since she had not witnessed too many demons who actually fought, or fought to the death for that matter. She had never witnessed a fight between two demons that were equally matched either, it was usually one over powered demon sent to kill a weaker demon. At least that was the way it was when her father, Lucifer was still alive.

She didn't take her eyes off the two men, she was pretty sure that they had taken a brief notice to her. Considering that she was standing out in the open and could easily try to intervene if she wished. Her ears twitched a little just before she replied to Saki's question. "I don't know Saki. You should wait and see, instead of asking so many questions"

Marr saw the look in Syn's eyes.

He smiled a strange, weary smile.
And said something odd with his first touch of regret, "I'll be dead by tommorow.

Wings are nothing now.

I've been out in the open too long. I have no time to hide anymore. Doubtless I've already been seen. I should have been more careful. There's no saving myself now. Either I am going to die struggling with other demons or they will manage to capture me and I'll be thrown into jail with my wings cut off.

If the second option happens, I'll be dead anyway. I've got this to ensure that". Marr took a vial out of his pocket. It was ornate with a special seal.

"My own personal invention. I refuse to die slowly as a captive.

I don't plan to be dragged back, but if I am. I can use this.
Wondering what it is?"

Nodding to Yotsuba he looked towards the men waiting in for the fight to start gritting his teeth together waiting for it to start. In a low voice so only Yotsuba could hear him "I'm dying here I want to see them fight." Watching the two men in the clearing waiting to see who would make the first move.

He jumped down from the branch and walking over to Yotsuba's side as he crossed his arm's infront of him one over the other. His crimson eyes glowed watching the two blinking as the glowing faded hoping that nobody noticed that the urge is trying to take over him again like it did when he was back in hell.

::[HIKARI]Just the deadly stares frightened me enough. i didn't want to see either of them die... I was always taught there is some good in everyone, EXCEPT Demons, but they were beings like everyone else...
I flew down to the bottom of the tree and sprinted to where they were and stood exactly between them, equal distance apart.
"Please.. dont fight... can't we work this out? Is death... slaughter.. pain and suffering any kind of real reasoning? I am the one who caused this commotion in the first place..." I was crying now... the kitten tightly in my grasp between my breast. After seeing my family slaughtered, i wanted nothing more than the demons to die... but I shouldn't wish that upon demons who I didn't know.
I still hadn't found the single demon responsible for my familys death... i clenched my teeth and Looked into Syns eyes, then back to Marr, frantic. My heart was racing. I Closed my eyes
"If there is to be any death... I should be first, so I am not to witness anymore pain...or suffering."
Kneeling down, I gently placed the kitten to her feet and pushed her butt, until she ran off and hid under a nearby bush. I had a feeling she knew what was going to happen.
I spread out my arms, and wings and put my head up and puffed out my chest. "please... just get it over and done with.."
Tears streamed down my cheeks, I clenched my teeth and tightly closed my eyes. Prayers ran though my head; I prayed it would be quick and I could rejoin my family.
The wind picked up, my feathers flickered and my hair lifted gently off my shoulders. It fell silent. I dug my bare feet into the grass and braced myself for what would happen next; I didn't know.::

Marr looked at Hikari sighed heavily.

"Don't you see?" His voice was cold and full of frustration.
"I'll die either way".

He replaced the vial in a pocket in his jacket.

"Leave me be!" He was practically pleading, he didn't want to deal with tears. It brought back too many memmories that he didn't want to think about. He had the strong feeling that when he died, those who had died would be waiting for him. And none of them would be friendly. He was standing in the doorstep of eternal purgatory.

He wanted one more good fight and an interesting opponent was right in front of him. He'd had it all planned out. He thought the vial's purpose might put Syn off guard.

He felt the strong inclination to have Syn's blood under his fingertips.
Frustration mounted.

"Don't make me kill you too". He looked enraged and then startled.

He'd shown his hand.

Damn it, Damn it all to Hell.

Syn blanched, but it was quickly rectified, he stared at the vial, thinking how sad it it was when a demon reached the point that he was willing to take his own life. He started to rise, then that blasted Angel dove down to stand in front of his opponent.
"Damn.." Syn muttered.
"Can't you ever mind your own business!?" He shoved her out of the way and stared her down.
"You don't deserve death! You're no warrior, you don't fight, Death is reserved for those who put stake in battle. And you!" He cried turning to Marr.
"What are you!? A moron! So what if you've been seen, LIVE!! Damn you! LIVE TO SPITE THEM!" He jerked his sword onto his back.
"I owe nothing to hell, and if your death is what they want, I'm not going to let them have it!" He stomped over and grabbed the younger demon's arms, twisting them behind his back, making sure to remove any daggers within his reach.
"You're not going to die...not on my watch." He whispered in his ear.
"I don't care what the hell that blackness behind your eyes is....nor what you want...I'm doing this because I want to...as long as I live...not a single demon is going to kill you...for reward or otherwise..." He smiled, Syn didn't know why he was saying these things, or doing what he had said he would..he was a ranked demon...one that owed the most allegiance to hell...and yet...when had that taken precidence over his own pleasure? Never. He was going to protect Marr with his life..as long as he had it. What a demon he was..one small likeness between them...and Syn was falling all over himself in order to keep that alive. He sighed turning back to the Angel and his lips twitched wider.
"No blood...not today."

::I gripped my arm as I fell to the ground and i looked up at Syn, tears streaming down my face. The kitten ran from under the bush and rubbed against Syns ankle and I screamed "NEKO-CHAN NO! Dont touch him!" I put my hands over the temples of my head and sobbed, tightening my eyes shut. I wished I had listened to my friends when they told me to stay in Heaven, but I was stuck here... the kitten was my only companion. I didnt know how Syn reacted to such creatures... I prayed for Nekos life. I Wrapped my wings around myself and my heart throbbed. My mind was racing.::

Syn glanced down at the small life that raked against his leg. He glanced then to the Angel that had held it and moved Marr's arms into one hand and leaned down to hoist the frail body into the crook of his arm.
"Your life is waning little one.." He sighed and looked into the green orbs that only blinked back at him.
"It would have been better if you'd have let this one die." He twisted to grab the kitten by the scruff of his neck, moving with Marr in tow to where the Angel sat on the ground.
"But...I guess that's where you and I are simillar." He set the animal back into her lap and stood turning his head back to his captive.
"Now...if I let you go...are you going to run? Or try to kill me?" Syn was already untying his sword, using his free hand, thinking of how he could use the straps to bind Marr if he proved uncooperative.
