"You can try making an unselfish wish, but I don't think two amulets would be the same things, it would be too obvious," he said with a frown. "Whoever made these amulets knew you two at birth, and knew you were twins. Each person follows their own destiny. My daughter turned out to be a princess, and you became a thief. Princesses are supposed to care for their people, hence the amulets power. So the other amulet, and sorry to generalize here, I would guess grants selfish wishes, as thieves are, well... thieves." Graqox looked down. "Sorry. Didn't mean to be rude."

Verin could not help a small smirk as he continued to apologize for referring to thieves in such a manner. "Don't worry 'bout it. I know well enough what I am." She replied with a shrug of her shoulders as she looked to the amulet curoiusly. "Hm...then maybe I should test it out.." She said after a moment, the smirk returning to her lips as she was able to think of a few things she would like.

Graqox sat back and waited. Regardless of whether his assumption about the second amulet was right, he'd still like to know where they came from.

Verin took the amulet in her hand, debating on what sort of wish she would make. "Hm...what to choose..." She murmured, guessing that if his guess was correct, this was the only wish she'd be getting out of the thing. However, she soon decided to simply go with something she could prove with ease--a pile of gold on the floor in front of her. Almost instantly, there stood a small mound of gold coins upon the floor, and a grin upon her face.

Dumbfounded, Graqox stared at the pile of coins on the floor. Regaining his composure, he spoke very seriously to Verin. "I am not even going to attempt to take the amulet from you, however, if you choose to take it, I have one request. Do not give it to your father. That amulet in the wrong hands could do serious damage. And both together could be worse." Graqox walked over and picked up one of the coins. "This is real!" he exclaimed.

Verin laughed at the request, though nodding her agreement. "No worries. I intend to keep this with me." She replied, leaning down to pick up one of the coins as well. "Huh...so it is.." She murmured, before pocketing the coin she had picked up.

"Don't you think it's strange, though? The amulet around your neck was for selfishness, and you became a thief. The amulet around my daughter's neck was to help others, and she became a princess. Whoever made these amulets knew your destinies. We need to find out who made them."

Verin pressed a finger to her cheek as she considered his words. "Yes...I suppose you're right. Either that, or it's a huge coincidence." She agreed with a nod of her head. "But...how do you plan to find out where they came from? I doubt that sort of information is easy to come by."

The tortiose looked up at Dengi again and watched as the wrinkly female hobbled her way up the grassy path back to her hut. Once there, she spent her time freshening up. After dressing in new gray robes and slipping on her cloth shoes, she made her way outside, leaving her snow white hair down. "Almost forgot.." She muttered to herself before grabbing a brown bag hanging from a chair.

Outside, Dengi's back seemed to hunch automatically. Her hand rose up to sheild her eyes and she began to slowly walk her way towards town. Part of her wanted to see the commotion, but a more serious need was the lack of fruit. Dengi possessed a few coins from her deeds as a sooth sayer, but those were sparingly used. Her tortiose occasionally accompanied her on these trips, but not today. It found its way back into her hut to sleep. So, alone, Dengi started her way down the path.

"I'm sure the castle's magician and librarian could come up with a basic idea, and we could look further from there," he said. Then, he called over his adviser, and told him to cancel the call for an army, but do not report the amulet was found. He turned back to Verin. "We need to keep the amulet's return on the low-down. If word gets out too much, you might face serious consequences."

Renee met up with the princess as she began telling her about she having a twin. Curiosity taking over, she asked her highness where her double would be. She told her that she didn't know but she last saw her with her father. Renee excused herself
and began to search around the castle. She checked the throne room and no one was there. She then arrived at the chamber. Not knowing anyone would be in there, she just opened the door. She saw the King and someone who looked exactly like the princess standing in front of a pile of gold. Stunned, she bowed, apologizing, and walked out.

Graqox saw the girl come in and quickly grabbed her arm. "Send the castle magician and librarian here immediately, please," he said, softly.

Startled by his sudden grasp, she just nodded and replied, "Yes your majesty," and quickly left. She found the castle magician in his office, playing with a rubber ball. "Excuse me sir, the king has asked you to go to the chamber." He immediately got up and started walking while Renee went in search of the librarian. Of course, she was in the library. "Miss, the king would like to see you immediately." she told her. The librarian nodded and followed Renee out. They arrived at the chamber not too long after the castle magician. They then entered the room.

She wandered through the castle halls with nothing much to do, since the Princess is studying, and His Majesty is talking with a guest - most probable in the audience room. However, as she passed by the king's chambers, she heard voices from behind the door. Her curiosity getting the better of her, she stopped and put her ear up to the door.
