He shook his head as if waking up when her first offer finally reached his brain. "You mean... Are you sure you want to do that, Ms. Lynn? I don't want to impose on your hospitality any more than I already have! That is so generous of you."

"You wouldn't be a burden at all.." Lynn replied, a light blush soon dusting her cheeks. "It's nice to have company...Other than animals.. Plus you do need to heal up.. and... Well, no one has visited me since father died."

"So of course I would like you to stay." She finally finished, before turning away.

"I hope whatever you smells doesn't destroy this place. There is a reason why this forest needs to be protected. I don't know the reason myself.. but father did..So.." The woman smiled lightly. "I'll protect it despite being blind to whatever is here."

James followed her through into the city "Sorry dumb queastion...as for why i'm heading to the city, Well let's just say i'm not too impressed as to how things are being run anymore. Since knowbody else seems to be lineing up to do anything about it, I thought I may as well try." He said with a kind smile.

"Yes the city is, indeed, in need of many improvements."

Lina sat down on the ground.

"Wow..small hole. " He remarked as he thought about whether or not there would be some sort of trap laid out on the other side or not.

"I'll have to go first and move the baskets so we can get into my house. If you don't mind." She said as she started climbing up into the tunnel.

"Indeed it is. It's better than having to go and ask officials for permission to go out, or have an escort." She sighed and stopped after a few minutes. She pushed on some something, as she did rays of light came through. She pushed until she could crawl through, when she did she pushed more of the baskets away and helped him into her home.
"Here we are. Makes yourself at home." She said as she wiped the dirt off of her.

Pat felt safe here with this magi alchemist, almost as safe as he felt back home at the monastery. At the thought of his fellow brothers, his wings picked up and his tail unraveled about his waist. "Yes..." replied Toki, with a troubled look on her face. "Although I plan on not finding what the problem is, but stopping it." She stood up, brushing herself from the dirt that was on her. "I shall be going. Dare I say that this is where are paths seperate, or shall we be traveling together?"

He looked around cautiously befor sitting in a chair. "You have a nice home, I know that I probably shouldn't ask..but what is your opinion regarding the current ruller here?"

"He does't rule. He leaves it to his avisors and they mess everything up." She sighed, shaking her head as she moved the baskets back into place.

"I think that the king does share some of the blame.But it is mostly the advisors." She sighed and stretched a bit after putting the baskets back in place. "Is there anything I could get you to eat? drink?"

"Anything to help." She smiled and walked over to a pitcher that was standing on a counter on the west wall of what seemed to be her kitchen. Beside it were a variety of cups and mugs. She picked a blue mug and held it beside the pitcher as she grabbed the handle of the pitcher, lifting it up and pouring water into the mug.She put the pitcher back down and and carried the mug back to James. "Here you go. Now what information would you like me to give you?"

"What kind of law's are there here?, and what kind of guards does your city have, cuel or lienient?, sorry I hadn't really planned on trying to make a plan ha." he laughed to himself for a moment.

"Some of the guards are really nice like Rolf and Lanzer. But the guards that serve the advisors are awful. They take from the people and raise your taxes if you try to oppose them if your lucky. We've already had two men go missing because they faught against them. they're either dead or went to another town. Their poor wives are devistated. It's been damn hard for myself to keep a low profile. Ever since the king's father died, everything has gone for the worst in this city." She stewed in her own thoughts. Still angry over the subject of the unfair guards.

"Not with the advisors men. If I have a problem I either deal with Rolf or Lanzer and they take care of it for me, like my Nona told me to." She sighed, as a sad look crossed her face.

"No. She went peacefully one winters night. But this was before the late king died. Nona was one of his advisor's, and we used to live in the north wing of the palace, near the garden. I was only allowed out at night and often played in there." She smiled then shook her head as she got up from her chair. "The prince's 19th birthday is tomorrow, where he will be crowned and declared ruler, finally. Though I have a bad feeling about it."

"Yes, I believe it to be wise to stick together if we have a common goal in mind. These roads have become rather treacherous, or so I have heard, as of recently, best to travel safely." Pat said as he made an attempt to stand up. His wings and tail helped to stabilize him as he managed to get up while holding onto the instrument. His whole body made to cover and protect the mandolin even though it had protection spells of its own. He motioned politely to Toki, "Shall we get going then? To the castle."

"I have a better idea," said Toki. She murmured some words as the ground below her and Pat began to move. She signaled Pat to stay still as the ground broke from the earth, levitating Pat and Toki in the sky. "This way is better, yes?" she smiled.
