"Is that what you think happened?!" Emelaide screeched as she shoved his arms away and from her stepped away as she turned to face him, her temper flaring and her magic showing it. "That is not what happened. I didn't just walk up and let my magic get to work. I was simply standing by a tree in Winterglade when I heard them talking. I got furious, Dimitrius hadn't broken up with me yet. I had plausible cause for letting my magic lower the temperatures and try and give her a cold, hopefully the flu."

"You were angry that Erreminette was trying to boost Ariala's confidence by using your boyfriend." Marreck retorted, keeping his anger in check at Emelaide's outburst. "You were insecure about Dimitrius and you're insecure about our relationship no matter how many times I tell you and try and show you how much I'm in love with you. If you heard an Elimlee elf saying that she wanted to date me, not knowing about you, would you react the same way?" He asked bitterly. "You'd confront her and if she'd give her any attitude then you'd just use your magic so you could get the last say. Were you going to leave Erre in the woods if Dimitrius hadn't have found her? Do not feel guilty about what you did at all?" Marreck asked, confusion slipping into his voice.

Dimitrius sighed as he threw away the food and washed the dishes, Emelaide and Marreck's voices ringing through the house. 'It's a good thing this place is secluded..'
Picking up Dimeria when he was finished, he tried to make her feel better by promising that Emelaide would come later that day. Taking her outside, Dimitrius headed through the maze of bridges and making his way back home before climbing down the rope ladders and heading towards Winterglade. -- Emelaide scowled as she turned away from him and lied bitterly, "No. I don't. And I wouldn't have gone back. It was her own fault." Sighing, her facial features softening, Emelaide walked over to her side of the bed and curled up into a ball as she whispered, "And I do know you love me.. I don't have any doubts that you do.. I could never doubt that," she added as she tenderly caressed her stomach, doing her best to keep the temperature in check. |
"Then why are you lying to me, Em?" Marreck asked tenderly as he walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her shoulders, cradling her to his chest. "I know you feel guilty about what happened with Erre. Why won't you apologize?" He asked softly as his hand fell over Emelaide's to caress her stomach.

Emelaide sighed as she sat on her knees and wrapped her arms around his waist, burying her face in his chest. "I just.. I can't. I won't. I'd never give her that satisfaction. It's not like I wish to become friends with her. I'll simply tolerate her actions and not take it to heart when she's around for your sake. But I.. I can't apologize.. Please don't make me lie and tell her I'm sorry when I'm not.." Emelaide whispered, her request a bit of a lie. The lie was that she wasn't sorry when in truth she was. However, Emelaide was not ready to apologize, and she didn't wish to do so, knowing full well Erreminette would have it a huge event and cause Emelaide more misery than she was already receiving from her.

"If you're not ready to apologize, Em, you don't have to." Marreck assured her as he wrapped his arms around Emelaide. "But don't tell me that you don't feel sorry about it." He said, placing a light kiss against her neck. "I know you feel at least somewhat guilty. Don't lie to me." He said softly as he stroked her back.

"I know but.. I don't want to admit it and have her hear me or you tell her," Emelaide whispered into his chest, "I'm not ready to listen to her snide remarks and high-and-mighty attitude about it.. I just.. I can't go through that right now.. Not when I have my parents to worry about."

"Then it'll be our little secret." Marreck smiled as he pressed a kiss against her cheek. "You can take as long as you like." He assured her as he caressed her back gently. "And there's still alot of food out there if you're interested that is. We don't have to rule out the idea of breakfast in bed." He offered as he brought Emelaide's eyes to meet his own and gave her a tender kiss.

Emelaide sighed as she shook her head, "No, it's alright. It's probably ruined by now anyway. I'm sorry you made it all for nothing," she added with a blush. "I really do appreciate it though," Emelaide added as she placed a long, tender kiss upon his lips. "Can you forgive me for this morning?" she asked hesitantly.

"You wouldn't be the Emelaide I want to marry if you didn't yell at me every once in a while." Marreck winked before giving her a tender kiss. "I love you." He murmured against her lips before slipping out of the bed. "And I am going to give you breakfast in bed." He laughed as he moved to the door.
Stepping into the kitchen, Marreck piled a plate with pancakes, waffles, and french toast. Having coated all three in syrup, Marreck poured a glass of orange juice and returned to the bedroom. "See? All good." He winked as he brought the plate over to Emelaide and set it in her lap. |
Smiling, Emelaide gently caressed his cheek and placed a long, tender kiss upon his lips. "Thank you Marreck, it looks delicious," she murmured softly against his lips before placing another kiss upon his lips. Turning back to the food, Emelaide dug in, taking a bite of everything all at once.

Marreck smiled as he wrapped his arms around Emelaide and rested his chin on her shoulder. "I'm guessing its good?" He laughed as he kissed the side of her neck.

Emelaide nodded as she leaned into his kiss and held out a bite of pancakes to him, "It's amazing! And you've made far more than I can eat. Grab a fork and be late to meet Ari?"

"I'll stay as long as you wish." Marreck promised as he leaned forward to take the bite of pancake in his mouth. "But I'm sure you could eat all of this by yourself without my help. Even without being pregnant." He winked.

Emelaide rolled her eyes playfully as she took another bite of pancakes, "Perhaps, but surely not all at once! I blame the twins for being able to eat this much, and I blame you," she teased as she placed a tender kiss upon his cheek.

Marreck laughed quietly as he placed a kiss on the side of Emelaide's neck. "There's no need to blame me or the twins. Its not our fault that you can eat so much." He teased.

Leaning into his kiss, Emelaide closed her eyes as she smiled, laughing lightly, "Mar.. you're being mean.. Not to mention you're teasing me.."

"Do you think you can still love me?" Marreck teased as he continued to kiss her neck gently, moving upwards to Emelaide's ear.

Biting her lower lip as her toes curled and she leaned into his kisses, Emelaide whispered softly, "I think I can.. But I also think if you keep this up I may have to kidnap you for a few hours."

"I can't stay that long, Em." Marreck reminded her as he nibbled gently on her earlobe. "You should eat." He told her before stopping his kisses and resting his chin on her shoulder.

Emelaide sighed as she shot him a mock glare, a playful smile spreading across her lips, "Mr. O'Sullivan, did you just say no to your fiancee? I'll have to remember that in the future," she teased as she placed a light kiss upon his cheek before turning back to her food with a laugh and eating the delicious food Marreck had made for her, offering a bite to him every few bites she took herself.

Marreck grinned as he finished his last bite and gave her neck another kiss. "You know I can't stay too long. I have to meet Erre and Ari." He reminded her with a laugh.

"I know, I know. I'm just teasing dearest," Emelaide said softly as she finished her last bite of french toast and set the empty plate next to the empty glass upon the tray and set it off to the side so she could shift to face Marreck. Wrapping her arms around his neck, Emelaide placed long, tender kisses upon his lips, "I love you Marreck. And don't worry about coming home early, I'll be fine I promise. I'll be at Lina's telling her about the engagement and baby while you're gone. What would you like for dinner tonight? I can probably make it at Lina's while I'm there if I know I'll be late and have it ready for you when I get home," she added with a smile between kisses.

Marreck smiled as he wrapped his arms around Emelaide's waist and pulled her closer against him to give her a soft kiss. "I'd feel like a slave driver if I asked you to make me a hot supper when I got home." Marreck murmured against her lips. "I'd sound so...old." He grinned before laying Emelaide on her back gave her a long kiss.

Emelaide smiled as she placed a tender kiss upon his lips. "You are old, love, and I'm ancient" she murmured softly against his lips between kisses, "We're having twins, so that must mean we're getting there, wouldn't you say? But really, cooking dinner is nothing. I'd be happy to make my soon-to-be-husband dinner."
