Ariala smiled, glancing at the fire. "I hope so. This not being able to cook for myself thing is very annoying, considering my parents spend all their time at the castle during the Spring time. Without your aunt I may just starve." Ariala said jokingly.
Dimitrius chuckled, "Then it's a good thing we live so close to the border. Whenever your hungry it's just a short walk away, no matter how late it is. And if Auntie Lina's not home, then you're more than welcome to stop by the cottage. I'm sure I can whip something decent up; after all, I've been cooking for myself for years and I haven't died of poisoning yet," he added with a laugh.
"Well I am a whiz at toast and jam." Ariala said jokingly. "And a peanut butter and jelly sandwich is my specialty." She added with a wink.
Dimitrius chuckled as he finished his pie and placed the dishes on the table in front of them, "Mm, we could definitely live on that for awhile. We could even throw eggs into the mix, for that's my specialty," he added with a wink.
"Sounds good to me." Ariala said, placing her own empty plate next to Dimitrius' and moving closer to him so that she could lean against him. "When do you have to leave?" She asked.
Dimitrius smiled as he slipped his arm around her waist, pulling her closer and resting his cheek against the top of her head, "Whenever you tell me to leave. Aunt Lina finished the treats for the Masters and we delivered them before I came here, so I don't have anything to do until tomorrow afternoon when I have a practice session with the younger Winter Elves. Why do you ask, love? Do you want me to leave already?" he inquired teasingly.
"No." Ariala said, resting her head on his shoulder. "I was hoping you could stay longer." She said, wrapping her arms around his waist.
Snuggling closer to her, Dimitrius smiled, "Of course, love. I'll stay as long as you wish me to."
"Don't say that." Ariala said, teasingly, "I might just kidnap you forever." She said, reaching her head up and giving him a small kiss on the lips before resting her head against him again.
Dimitrius chuckled as he whispered, "You can't kidnap one that willingly stays."
Ariala smiled, holding him tighter. "I love you." She whispered, fighting to stay awake.
Placing a gentle kiss on her forehead, Dimitrius smiled as he murmured softly, "I love you too, Ariala."
Ariala wished that she could just freeze this moment, gazing into the fire and being in the arms of someone she loved. "So tell me." Ariala said. "What's your favorite part of the winter?"
"This," he said simply with a smile as a small, gentle snow fall fell around them for just a few moments, "Nothing is better than that. Well, except for the way the light of the sunrise and sunset dance across the ice and snow; now that is a beautiful sight."
"Sounds beautiful." Ariala said dreamily. "I made it rain today, it was so hard."
Dimitrius hugged her as he placed a kiss on the top of her head, his voice showing how proud he was of this accomplishment as a smile crept into his lips, "Congratulations, Ariala! With practice you'll be doing it as simply as counting to three! When do you practice it again?"
"Day after tomorrow." Ariala said with a small smile. "Master is giving me a day off to rest. Rain takes alot out of you."
Dimitrius nodded, "Aye, I can tell. Maybe I should leave so you can get some sleep.."
"But I'll see you tomorrow, right?" Ariala asked, sitting up and rubbing her eyes.
Dimitrius nodded, "Of course, love, but I have a practice session with the younger elves that afternoon. If you want to head over to Aunt Lina's then, I'm sure she won't mind. I think she'll have an outfit for you as well. Do you want to meet at the border tomorrow morning and spend the morning together in Winterglade? Then I'll walk you home that evening if you'd like."
"Sounds good." Ariala said, sitting up. She grabbed the plates and brought them to the kitchen before going back to the living room. "I'll see you tomorrow." Ariala said, standing on her toes to give him a small kiss. "I love you." Ariala said.
Slipping on his jacket, he leaned in and placed a gentle, tender kiss upon her lips, "I love you too. 'til tomorrow morning then," he added with a kiss on her cheek before smiling and kissing her lips once more, lingering a bit as his tongue seductively explored her mouth before breaking the kiss, "Goodnight."
Smiling he headed back through the kitchen and out the door, making his way back towards Winterglade. |
Ariala went into her bedroom and slipped under the covers, falling asleep immediately.

.*. The Next Day .*.
* * * * * * * * * * * Dimitrius awoke the next morning, popped in some toast, and quickly showered and dressed. Grabbing the toast, smothering it in marmalade, he threw on his jacket and headed out the door, eating his toast on the walk to Elimlee. |
Ariala stretched out her arms in her small bed. She climbed out of bed a bit to fast, causing a head rush. "Hey sleepyhead." Erreminette said, bouncing in her door.
"Hey." Ariala said, makng toast. "Off to see Prince Charming?" Erreminette teased. "Okay you're not allowed to call him that to his face." Ariala laughed, munching on her toast before heading out the door. "No promises." Erreminette laughed. "Have fun!" |
