Marreck pressed his head against the ice block that was the wall. Dimitrius had warned her about the nerve spasms, she probably had no hand in this or foot considering she was kicking. He smiled wearily at his pathetic joke letting sleep take over him.

Groaning, Emelaide cursed Dimitrius left and right for giving Marreck 'pointers' about her care while she was under. What Dimitrius neglected to tell Marreck, was that the heat was only needed for the first four hours of her recovery, not the entire time, because her magic stabilizes within the first couple of hours.

Marreck remained asleep, forgetting to get up after the next hour had passed. He dreamed of, ironically enough, sleeping. He was resting in his bed back in Elimlee. He flinched in his sleep, his arm moving sideways, very close to the fire. The heat woke him up with a start.

"Oops." He murmured, placing another log on the fire before resting against the wall once again.

"Put one more log on that fire, Marreck, and I'll strangle you," whispered Emelaide, her throat dry and sore from non-usage and her voice weak from still not having all of her strength back yet. Unfortunately, all she could do was speak in small, short phrases at the moment. She couldn't open her eyes, but she could at least move her legs a bit more, which she quickly made use off and shoved the rest of the blankets off of her.

Marreck snapped his head up at the sound of her voice. "Sorry I don't have a manual for how to take care of your girlfriend when she almost kills herself by overworking." He murmured, extinguishing the fire.

Marreck put his hand to his forehead, his lack of sleep making him grouchier then usual. "Would you like some water, love?" He asked.

"Tip number one, never listen to Dimitrius. Tip number two, make sure your girlfriend is properly dressed after Dimitrius 'changes' her. Tip number three, get your behind over here so your girlfriend can give you a kiss," she added in a less grouchier tone than her previous two statements, "And tip number four, come over here and get some sleep, you sound like you need it."

Marreck smiled at her words, sitting beside Emelaide and giving her a kiss on the cheek. "I'll feel like I'm taking advantage of you if I kiss you and you're unable to move." He said shyly.

Emelaide laughed softly, "You can't take advantage if it is freely given, dearest. Besides, you've kissed me quite a bit since I've been knocked out, not to mention all of the caressing you've done," she teased before going into a small coughing fit, "And maybe that water would do me some good. Speaking of which, have you eaten anything? And are you dressed properly for Winterglade? I'll kill you if you've been here all this time in Elimlee clothing.."

"Don't worry about me, love." Marreck smiled. "I'm perfectly fine here. I'll be back with your water." He said, spending only a minute before he was back with her water. Tiliting her head upwards, he put the glass to her lips and slowly tipped it so that a small trickle of water hit Emelaide's lips. "And I'll remind you that kissing someone on the forehead is far different from the lips when said person is unable to move.

Eagerly swallowing, the water felt cool against her throat. When Marreck had removed the cup, Emelaide smiled at him, "Thanks. And now I'll ask again, have you eaten anything since yesterday and are you dressed properly for Winterglade? And don't bother lying to me, I'll be able to see you in about ten minutes."

"I'm dressed properly, Dimitrius brought me some clothes." He told her. "But I've been a bit to nervous about you to eat anything lately." He admitted, sure he was going to get rebuked for it.

Emelaide blushed, "I'm sorry.. I didn't mean to worry you so much.. You should eat something and get some sleep, I'll be fine, I promise. Move me to the couch so you can have the bed, you'll be able to sleep better."

"Nonsense." Marreck said. "I'm not moving you, you need rest." He said, sitting next to her. "But you need to promise me that you're going to start being honest with me when you're feeling weak." He said, his voice layered with concern.

"It was nothing," Emelaide insisted as she blinked her eyes open, "I promise! And I'm not the one who needs rest, you are. My body has rested for nearly twenty-four hours and will be resting for another twenty-four as it reboots itself. Now either scooch me over and sleep beside me, or move me to the couch and take the bed. I will not have you murdering your health over me, it's certainly not worth it!"

"Oh, yes." Marreck grumbled. "You're one to preach on taking care of your health." He said. "I'm taking the couch while you reboot." He said, retreating into the living room for sleep.

"Tip five, never argue with your girlfriend!" Emelaide called after him before muttering names under her breath and waited patiently for her body to be able to move enough to kick Marreck off of the couch - which, she hoped, would be in just over an hour.

"Sorry love. You're not much of a threat when you're unable to move." Marreck called back, crawling on to the couch, asleep almost the minute his head hit the pillow.

Emelaide smirked as she replied softly, "Oh aren't I?"

Grinning to herself, Emelaide forced the temperatures around Marreck to slowly decrease - not enough to harm him, just enough to make him uncomfortable.

"Very funny." Marreck called. "Stop with the bibbity-bobbity-boo and rest." He said, his voice heavy with sleep.

"Then get in here and sleep dang it! That couch is old and needs to be replaced, I know very well you're not getting enough sleep on it," Emelaide called back, not lifting the magic.

"I would be if you weren't so stubborn and making me cold." He retorted, trying to rest his eyes.

Lowering the temperature just a tad, Emelaide called back, "Then you quit being stubborn! If you don't quit laying on that thing soon, you'll twist your back and not sleep for months. It's not made to be slept on, only sat upon! Surely Dimitrius warned you to take the spare room instead of the couch.."

"Fine, fine." Marreck said, choosing to give up. He moved into the spare room laying in the spare bed, asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow.

Emelaide raised the temperatures to warm Marreck before letting the magic slip away and nodding off to sleep, mumbling about how wretched Dimitrius was and how she was going to murder him the moment she saw him - fiancee or not.

Marreck fell into a deep sleep, dreaming of Elimlee. He was back with Emelaide in the tree. He dreamt of kissing her, smiling in his sleep. "Em..." He whispered in his sleep, curling up closer in the blankets.
