Squirming in his grasp as they ran through the streets, Emelaide tried to get out of his hold, "Marreck! Put me down this instant! I don't need to be babied all the time! I'm not completely helpless you know!"

Marreck rolled his eyes, setting Emelaide down. "Better?" He asked. "I was only trying to help, I didn't want you to fall." He said icily as he continued to walk towards the church.

Emelaide frowned as she crossed her arms and followed, stumbling, behind him, "I know that. But I feel as if I'm always relying on you and that you're always taking care of me.. I don't like feeling so helpless.."

"You're not helpless." Marreck sighed, turning back to her and putting an arm underneath Emelaide's. "You're sick. I want to help you but you need to let me." Marreck said.

Emelaide sighed as she looped her arm through his, linking their fingers together as she rested her head on his shoulder, "I know.. I just... You shouldn't be forced to look after me so much.. You shouldn't feel as if you're obligated.."

"I don't feel obligated." Marreck promised. "I want to help you because I want you to get better. I don't like when you're sick, it gets me worried." He admitted shyly.

Emelaide laughed as they neared the church, "You only say that because you're at risk of catching a cold while kissing me."

"Maybe." Marreck winked as they reached the church doors. Marreck opened the door, allowing Emelaide to go in before him. "But now that we've kept the happy couple waiting long enough, I think its time we have a wedding." He said happily.

Emelaide nodded as she linked her hand in his, "Let's."
Placing a tender kiss upon his lips, Emelaide grinned. "And who knows, maybe in the future we'll head down this path," she whispered against his lips as she linked her arm through his and led him towards the room in which Cindalina, Dimeria, Ariala, and Erreminette were in. "Cindalina, we're here! Are you all ready to start?" |
"Oh, you're here!" Ariala cried happily. "I thought I was going to die from waiting. I've been a wreck. I can't believe I'm so nervous. I wonder if everyone feels like this before they get married." Ariala said before snapping her mouth shut. "I'm rambling again." She said before turning back to the mirror, fixing loose strands of her hair.

Cindalina chuckled as she gave one last assuring hug to Ariala, "Not all brides, only the ones who are truly in love act as you do."
Slipping out the door, Cindalina went to inform everyone that the wedding was ready to proceed. Emelaide smiled at Dimeria, "Ria, my love, come with Marreck and I. You have to walk straight down that isle and stand in front of the very first pew, alright? We'll be right behind you, so don't worry." Dimeria nodded as she headed for the door, Emelaide and Marreck in tow. Emelaide paused at the door as she turned back to smile at Ariala, "Just breathe. Everything will be fine, I promise you. Once you walk through that door, the world will only revolve around one person, so make sure to remember to breathe. Remember that, and everything else is cake. Erreminette, follow seven steps behind us, alright?" she added before slipping out the door. |
"Right." Erreminette said as Emelaide slipped out the door. Turning to Ariala she added, "You and Dimitrius are meant to be together." She said quietly. "No more nerves, just think about him." She advised. "You're my best friend." She added, wrapping Ariala in her arms.
"Oh, Erre." Ariala said, wiping the moisture from her eyes. "Don't make me cry." She laughed, composing herself. "Now get out there so I can get married." She laughed, bumping Erreminette's hip. Giving Ariala a wink, Erreminette slipped out the door and followed behind Emelaide and Marreck. |
Dimitrius grew even more anxious as everyone filed out. Cindalina was sitting in the front Row in front of Dimeria, sitting beside Emelaide, and helping to keep Dimeria from getting too excited and running down to Ariala to hug her as she did with Emelaide when she walked down with Marreck.
As the wedding march played, Cindalina and Emelaide stood, all eyes turning to the doors as they opened wide. |
Ariala heard the wedding march and closed her eyes taking a deep breath. She felt the doors open, her eyes opening and searching for the only person she wanted to see at that moment. She watched Dimitrius's frame get larger as the doors opened before she began to walk down the aisle, her eyes only seeing Dimitrius's.
She felt suddenly calm as she saw him in his suit, the nerves and fears melting to the ground, being left behind her as she walked closer to Dimitrius. She didn't see the small crowd of her friends watching her or the elf on piano playing the wedding march, not even the priest. The only person Ariala saw was Dimitrius and he looked exactly as he always did. Perfect. |
Dimitrius' eyes locked with Ariala's as she walked down the isle towards him, a heavenly vision in white. Unable to keep the grin off his face, Dimitrius had to force himself from running to her right then and there and kissing her. A message of 'I love you' was conveyed through his eyes and smile as she reached him and handed her bouquet to Erreminette. Taking her hands in his, the Priest began a small speech on the wonder of marriage and the commitment the couple was making.
When the small spiel was finished, he began with the vows, "...til death do you part?" "I do," replied Dimitrius and he softly caressed her hand. "And do you, Ariala Gallagher, take Dimitrius Cordei...." |
"I do." Ariala said, feeling excitement take over the unnatural calm she had been feeling as she realized that she got to keep Dimitrius forever.
"Do you have the rings?" The priest asked, taking the small rings and handing them to the couple. He instructed them to place the rings on each other's fingers before adding, "You may kiss the bride." Ariala decided not to wait for Dimitrius to kiss her. She pulled him forward and pressed her lips against his as her arms wrapped around his neck, standing on her toes to kiss him fully. |
"I take that back, you may kiss the groom," the Priest corrected himself with a chuckle.
Dimitrius wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her closer, deepening the kiss as he slightly picked her up and pulled her against him. Grinning as he broke away from the kiss, Dimitrius picked Ariala up by the waist and spun around before pulling her back against him and kissing her tenderly, "I love you my dearest, darling wife." |
"I love you to, my handsome husband." Ariala laughed, enjoying how the word husband seemed to roll of her tongue naturally. She kissed Dimitrius once more before remembering their friends in beside them. Not breaking their embrace, Ariala turned her head to smile at the small group.
"I present to you the new Mr. and Mrs. Cordei." The priest said before slipping out the door to leave the happy couple with their friends and family. |
Dimeria dropped the cushion as she rushed over to Dimerius and Ariala and wrapped her around around both of their waists.
Cindalina clapped as a tear rolled down her cheek, "Congratulations." "Congratulations," Emelaide smiled as she clapped with Cindalina, "You two just couldn't wait until I threw you an engagement party though? I'm still throwing you one, just so you know," she teased as she hugged Dimitrius and then Ariala before going back to stand beside Cindalina. |
Ariala smiled as she hugged Emelaide before picking up Dimeria. "Well now you're officially my little sister." Ariala smiled.
"Congratulations." Marreck said moving forward to pull them into a hug. Erreminette said nothing as he tears rolled down her cheeks. Moving forward, she wrapped the couple, along with Dimeria, into a hug before walking back to the group. "So what now?" Ariala laughed as she wrapped around Dimitrius's waist with one arm, Dimeria in the other. |
Dimeria's face became sad a she looked at Ariala, "Auntie said I'm to stay with her for awhile so you and Trius can have a small honeymoon."
"Completely undetected, it will look just like a getaway vacation," added Cindalina with a smile, "Your actual honeymoon is scheduled for after your extravagant wedding and there's nothing we can do on such a short notice except send you to a small cottage I have close to the border. I'm afraid it's a good two hours away by carriage, though, but it's secluded and the temperature will be just fine for both of you." |
Ariala felt a small blush creep on her cheeks as she thought of Cindalina arranging their honeymoon, knowing what they planned on doing. "It sounds perfect." She said softly. "Though I think I should change into something more practical if we're going to travel." Ariala laughed quietly, pinching the fabric of her gown.

Cindalina smiled, "Already thought of that, my dear. I had the driver bring over a suitcase full of outfits from the collection you have yet to receive, as well as a suitcase of Dimitrius' things, and they're waiting in the carriage for you. Would you like me to fetch you two an outfit?"
Dimitrius nodded, "Yes, we'd appreciate that Auntie." Stepping forward and hugging her, he placed a gentle kiss upon her cheek as he whispered, "Thank you." "Of course, my dear boy. You children are the only good that came of your parent's union and I'm going to spoil you rotten until death," she added with a smile before wiping her eyes and hurrying out to the carriage awaiting the couple and getting a couple outfits out of the suitcases. Returning with them Cindalina smiled, "Stay as long as you like, we never go to that cabin anymore. The cleaning crew should be just about finished by the time you arrive. Leave your wedding clothes in the rooms where you change, I'll take them to the house for you." |
"Thank you, Cindalina." Ariala said, fighting back her tears. Setting down Dimeria, Ariala moved to a seperate room to change quickly. Taking off her wedding dress, Ariala hung the dress from the doorframe, not wanting it to be ruined.
She changed into a light pink dress with small ruffles at the bottom. She took a moment to sway her hips, watching the fabric swish, before rolling her eyes at her childness and pulling on a pair of white flats. She took one last look at the wedding gown, stroking the fabric before leaving to return to her friends. |
While Ariala was changing, Dimitrius too changed into a pair of black pants, a blue long sleeve turtleneck sweater, and a pair of black boots.
Hanging his tux on the hook behind the door, Dimitrius emerged from changing shortly after Ariala reached the group near the altar. Slipping his arms around her waist and placing a tender kiss upon her neck, Dimitrius whispered softly against her skin, "Ready to leave Mrs. Cordei?" |
