"You're crazy not to see how beautiful they are, especially when standing next to me. But to be honest? I'm glad you're crazy. I wouldn't be able to marry you and spend my entire life with you if you weren't," she teased with a smile as she brushed her nose softly against his in an eskimo-kiss. Tilting her head slightly and placing a tender kiss upon his lips, Emelaide whispered softly, "I love you so much Marreck, I really do."
Marreck placed his forehead against Emelaides, his hands cradling her to him. "I love you to, Emelaide. I always will." He promised before giving her a long kiss, his arms hugging her tightere against him as he kissed her softly.
Resting her forehead against his, Emelaide sighed, "Marreck.. You sure I should stay here? I-I'm not so sure I'll be able to behave when you're teasing me this much," she admitted with a blush.
"I'm sorry, love." Marreck sighed as he kissed her forehead before leading her to the bed. "I'll behave." He laughed quietly as he pulled back the sheets of his bed and laid down, pulling Emelaide to lay beside him.
"Don't apologize, love," Emelaide whispered as she placed a tender kiss upon his lips, "I don't want you to behave. But I don't think your parents would appreciate it if we went that next step with them in the house," she teased, "nor before we're married. Speaking of our wedding, I don't want Ariala angry with me for taking away from the news of her pregnancy, nor from her large ceremony.. Should we postpone the wedding until after they've finished?"
"Ariala wouldn't think that you were trying to overshadow her." Marreck assured her as he cradled Emelaide against him. "I'll wait forever to marry you, Emelaide." He said softly. "We can have the wedding whenever you like." He smiled.
"Really? Are you sure she won't feel as if I'm trying to overshadow her? I don't want her angry with me again now that we've finally started to try and get along," whispered Emelaide as she rested her arm over his abdomen and pulled herself closer to him, resting her cheek on his chest. "If you're sure, then would it be alright if we marry once we've found a house and have it ready to move into? I don't want to burden our parents with our constant changing houses between the two of them once we come back from our honeymoon. I want to be able to come home to a home that is ours."
"Of course." Marreck said as he stroked her hair gently. "I'll see if there is any houses available here tomorrow." Marreck said, stifling a yawn as he felt sleep starting to take over. "I love you, Em." He said softly before he fell into a deep sleep.
"I love you too," she murmured softly as she snuggled closer to him and fell asleep within his warm embrace.
___________ THE NEXT DAY| *********** Dimitrius awoke early the next morning. Slipping out of bed, careful not to wake Ariala, Dimitrius quickly headed for the shower. Finishing, Dimitrius came back to the bedroom, brushed his hair out, pulled it back, and changed into a white shirt and a pair of jeans, slipping on his boots to finish the outfit. Heading into the kitchen, Dimitrius began making vegetable omelets for he and Ariala, making sure her's had mushrooms. |
Ariala pulled against the sheets next to her as she tried to find Dimitrius. Opening her eyes, Ariala realized that Dimitrius wasn't next to her and let out a long sigh. Making her way into the bathroom, Ariala locked the door as she gripped her stomach.
Having emptied her stomach, Ariala made her way to the kitchen. Seeing the tea on the counter, Ariala set water on to boil. "My mother is a lifesaver." She smiled as she placed some of the tea leaves a cup as she waited for the water. Hugging Dimitrius from behind, Ariala buried her face in his back. "Are still going to love me when my stomach blows up?" She teased. |
Resting his free hand upon hers as he flipped the omelets, he gave her hand a light squeeze as he smiled, "I'll love you no matter how much you blow up, and I'll love that small little elf growing inside you. Are you hungry, love? I made you an omelet with mushrooms."
"I'm not very hungry but I'll feel like eating with some of mom's tea." Ariala smiled as she pulled the boiling water off the stove and into her cup with the tea leaves. "My mother can work miracles." Ariala smiled as she cooled the top of the tea and took a sip.
Sitting at the table, Ariala cradled her stomach with her free hand, the other on her tea. "It feels weird knowing there's something in there." Ariala said as she looked at her flat stomach. |
Placing the omelets on plates and bringing them to the table, Dimitrius knelt in front of Ariala and placed his hand over hers. After placing a tender kiss upon her stomach, Dimitrius looked up at Ariala and smiled, "It's hard to believe we created life.. Can you believe it Ari? By the time Autumn begins on Earth, you'll be nearing the final stage of your pregnancy, and we'll have a little elf to take care of who looks just like you!"
Ariala rolled her eyes playfully as she brought Dimitrius's face up to her own. "I would much rather that our child looks like you." She said as she placed a tender kiss on his lips. "Thank you for making breakfast." She whispered softly.
"You're welcome," he whispered against her lips before placing a tender kiss upon them. Placing a kiss on her forehead, he added softly, "When you feel up to it today, you should go and see Adan. I think you two have a lot to talk about. I'm not sure when he's leaving, but it's soon. If you'd rather, I can bring him to the house?"
"He's leaving?" Ariala asked as she sipped her tea. "Its probably best if he does." She decided as she set down her tea and wrapped her arms around Dimitrius's neck. "I just want it to be me and you. Adan creates drama." She sighed as she gave Dimitrius a tender kiss.
"He may have before, but if you knew his feelings.. Dearest, you need to speak with him.. You may not think it best if he left after you hear what he has to say," he whispered as he stood and sat across from Ariala, beginning his meal in silence.
"Whatever you say, love." Ariala shrugged as she began eating her omelet, the tea subsiding her morning sickness. "But I don't want to talk about Adan anymore." She sighed.
"Mushrooms." She exclaimed happily as she found a piece of mushroom in her omelet. "Sorry, that's not what I was going to say." She laughed as she took another mushroom and popped it into her mouth. "I was going to ask about names. What should we name the baby if its a boy?" Ariala asked as she continued to eat. |
"First promise me you'll speak to him before he leaves, then we will discuss names," said Dimitrius softly as took a sip of his tea, "Please.."
"Fine." Ariala mumbled as she took a sip of her tea. "I'll talk to him." She said, looking up at Dimitrius. "Can we talk about names now?" She asked, almost pleading.
Taking her hand in his and bring it to his lips, he murmured softly, "Of course. What names do you like, love?"
"Well, my father's middle name if Rilien." Ariala pondered. "Its suppose to mean 'light'. I kind of like it. What do you think? I mean, if we have a boy." Ariala added quickly.
Dimitrius smiled, "I like it, Rilien Cordei has a lovely ring to it, don't you agree? But what if it's a girl, love? What shall we name her then? I'm still partial to Rose and Lily, myself."
"I like Lily." Ariala smiled as she finished her omelet. "Lily Cordei." Ariala smiled as she looked down at her flat stomach, cradling it with her right hand. "I like it alot." She laughed as she picked up her dishes and walked over to the sink.
Dimitrius smiled as he finished his omelet and brought his dishes to Ariala, "Now that we've decided first names, what should the middle names be?" he asked as he leaned back against the counter.
