"Not forever..." Léan huffed, folding his arms across his chest. "...Maybe two or three weeks...but not forever." He'd worked on it feverishly, ever since he found the collection of blue stones at the end of the coral reef here at their beach.

"Even still," Glory said, "it's beautiful, and I love it." Leaning down, she gave him a kiss. "Thanks."

Léan arched himself upwards slightly so he could return the kiss comfortably, and then he smiled, contently. "You are welcome. You should go inside and get some sleep, before you fall over," he added, pointedly.

Glory nodded.
"Alright," she said. "I'll see you later, then." |
Léan nodded, and then began to settle himself down in the shallows. He would rest here, since the sand was softer and the water was much warmer. He wasn't worried about his brother coming around anytime soon. Archie was terrified of boats.

Glory went inside and immediately went into her room. She didn't even bother changing before she fell into bed and passed out. She'd already decided to call her mother at a slightly more decent hour.
Azilis found himself a rather secluded spot against one of the rocks and made himself comfortable. He was just as tired as the others, since he hadn't gotten much sleep at all, so he dozed off quickly in the shallows. |
Léan slept for a good six hours. It was mostly catch-up sleep. He woke up after a while, after having a peculiar dream...though, he couldn't remember it. The first thing he woke up to was...a mirror?
Nope. It was Archie, directly in his face. In his half-asleep state, Léan lashed out in a territorial manner, wordlessly warning Archie to back off. Archie whimpered, then huffed and smacked his brother on the shoulder. "Don't you get all grumpy on me." |
Glory wasn't sure how long she was asleep, but she woke up feeling a bit more rested than before. Rested enough to realize how nasty she felt, at any rate.
"Ugh..." she said to herself as she went into the bathroom. Undressing quickly, she took a long, hot shower, making sure to scrub her hair well. Once she finally turned off the shower and dried off, she pulled on a clean pair of jeans and an old, comfortable sweater. She left her hair as it was, so it would dry faster. Then she went outside again, her phone in her pocket. |
Léan grumpily bickered with his brother for a few long minutes. His grumbling and Archie's laughter could be faintly heard in the house, and easily heard on the beach. Léan didn't want to deal with his brother just yet.

Glory sighed a little when she heard the bickering. She really wasn't surprised.
"What are you nagging him about now?" she asked as she sat down on her rock. |
Archie blinked, then turned around, popping his head up out of the water. "Hi! Two things. One, I smell an unfamiliar scent, and two, I want to make sure the area's safe, 'cause I want to bring Eden out here."

"I'm not really surprised you caught an unfamiliar scent," she said, "though it shouldn't be THAT unfamiliar to you. I mean, how long have I been hanging around this beach, again? Months?"

Archie blinked, then tilted his head, puzzled. He had spent most of his years terrified of humans. They all smelled the same to him. He usually could only discern different scents when it came to his own kind. "Uuumm..."

"Right," Glory sighed. "That shouldn't surprise me, either." Standing up to get a better view of the shallows, she looked around for Azilis.

It seemed that the suspicions both her and Léan had, inadvertently, were true. Archie was not fully comfortable with her yet, no matter how comfortable he acted. He didn't hold hatred for humans like his brother did. But he was absolutely terrified of them. It seemed there was still some work to be done with him.

Glory looked around for a few moments before she saw Azilis over by the other rocks, staying out of the way.
"My dad is over there," she gestured to the rocks. "He's the only other one I see besides you two here." She was about to sit back down, and then hesitated. "I'll head inside while you bring Eden out, if you want me to." |
Archie shook his head, amused. "No, no...you don't have to go inside." Something about his tone suggested that he was wary about having Eden out here, but he didn't act on it. He was trying to completely trust her, at least. "Damon's resting, so I'm gonna bring her out here without him. I'll give you that blanket back, too, if you still want it..."

"If you still need it, you can have it," Glory said. She could tell he was still wary. "If you're not comfortable with me being here, I'll go inside." She'd already figured he wouldn't really want her there, so she wouldn't stay if he didn't want her to.

"No...it's okay, you can stay out here." Archie stole a glance at Léan. "I really want him to get up. He hasn't even seen her, yet." He would probably feel a lot better having his brother awake and aware when he brought her out.

"I'm actually surprised you haven't woken him up by now," Glory said.

"You distracted me," Archie huffed, pouting a bit. He promptly dove back underwater and began heckling Léan again.
Léan snapped at him a few times before surrendering and floating lazily to the surface, a scowl plastered on his face. "I'm up...I'm up...goodbye, sleep..." |
Glory jumped across a couple of the rocks, sitting down on the one closest to where Azilis was. At least this way, she was on the sidelines, so Archie wouldn't have to be afraid of her. Taking out her phone for a moment, she checked the time. She would call her mother later.

Archie glanced around, and then disappeared beneath the water. It would take him a few minutes to fetch Eden and return.
Léan caught a few slow-moving fish nearby and gobbled them down. He was starving, and would go out for a proper hunt later. To pass the time while Archie was fetching Eden, he scoured the ocean floor for crabs. |
Glory sat quietly on the rock. It hurt that they didn't trust her, even when she'd spent so much time on the beach, but it didn't surprise her. Well, she would just stay out of the way, then...

Léan pulled himself upwards with a good-sized crab, restraining its claws and watching it fight amusedly. He glanced over at her absently and then noticed that she looked a bit sad. He reluctantly released the crab and swam over to her, looking concerned. "What is it?"
