Léan chuckled, then laid back, so they could rest. "I don't know why, but I'm quite exhausted..." He paused. "Shall we keep talking, so that, er...in case they do something...we will not hear them?"

"What did you want to talk about?" Glory asked, laying back as well. She always liked cuddling with him, enough so that she wasn't quite sure how she'd been comfortable before without him.

Léan shrugged, settling down with her comfortably. "Anything, I suppose. We could, er...talk about taking me out in public again, in the wheelchair. What else do you humans do for fun?"

"Around here? Not much," Glory replied. "This is a really small town. There might be a strip mall or something, but not much else."

"There is a city nearby, correct? Is there anything to do there?" Léan asked, curiously. Personally, human cities terrified him. Tall skyscrapers with gravity working against him made him feel like they were going to wobble over and fall on him. But, if there was something fun to do, he would be fine.

"There probably is," Glory said. "I need to head that way soon anyways, I need to have Hector take a look at my car." She snuggled closer to him. "To be honest, I would rather spend time in the water with you, but it's too cold."

Léan didn't seem to notice that his tail was beginning to swish back and forth of its own accord again, almost like it was wagging happily because of what she had said. "If only you had an indoor pool."

"I've heard those are hard to keep up with," Glory said. "Keeping it clean and warm and all that... The electric bill would be through the roof, with the filter and the heater and such." If only there was a way for her to be able to swim with him even when it was cold out...

Léan was running a few ideas through his mind, but out of all the solutions he could think of, only one was plausible and would work. And he didn't quite want to talk about it.

Glory was running a few ideas through her mind as well, and she'd come across the same idea once or twice. She disregarded it, but not after turning it over in her mind a few times. She'd already decided that she wouldn't mind being changed, but she didn't think she was quite ready for the 'process'. Not yet, at least.

Léan was completely ignoring the idea, and would continue to do so until she brought it up. Determinedly, his brow furrowed in thought and he continued rolling different ideas over in his mind.

As much as Glory was trying to think of other options, the first one was still bouncing around her brain a little. The more she thought about it, the more sense it made.
"It would be worth it, though..." she murmured to herself. |
Léan half-jumped at her voice, and then tilted his head, curiously. He didn't know what she was thinking about, so, of course, he wasn't embarrassed, yet.
"What is it?" he asked, idly. |
"What?" Glory blinked out of her musings. When she realized she'd spoken aloud, she blushed a bit. "N-nothing, just thinking..." Of course, considering the subject, it wasn't hard to guess what she'd been thinking about.

Léan took notice of the blush, and he immediately realized what she was thinking about. He cleared his throat, and then nodded, the fin at the end of his tail flicking back and forth with nervous embarrassment.

Glory blushed a bit more when she realized he knew what she was thinking about.
"It's just an option," she said. "I mean, it's only the beginning of the winter. There's still, what, five more months before it's warm enough for me to even think about going into the water? That's a long time." |
Léan promptly began to grumble under his breath about how much he despised winter. "...It is an option..." he admitted, finally. "But a drastic one..."

Glory snuggled closer as he grumbled about winter.
"I used to love the winter, because it was cold," she said. "But while it's a bit chilly now, it's going to get much colder. I can't be spending time on the beach in the middle of January, I'd freeze. It's not like this is Hawaii, after all." |
Léan nodded slowly, self-consciously playing with his fingers as she spoke. He did shift a bit closer, however, so he wasn't completely lost to embarrassment, yet.

"Just a thought," Glory said as they cuddled. She wasn't going to push the issue when they were both so obviously uncomfortable with it.

Léan took in a deep breath, and then slowly let it out. "...I am willing to do this, if you are. But certainly not now..." He flushed pink. "At another time..."

Glory blushed as he spoke.
"Really?" she said. She nodded when he said another time. She definitely agreed to that. |
Léan nodded, eyes fixed on a nonexistent point in the distance. He was terribly embarrassed...but he was willing to change her, if that was what she wanted.

Glory cuddled with him, still blushing. She was perfectly willing to wait on it, if that's what he wanted, and she was fairly sure that was the case.

Léan sighed, then chewed on his lip. "...It might be a good idea if we were, er...alone in the house...or somewhere else, where no one was around..." He was trying to list off all of the things that were unnerving him, other than the process itself.
