It took Glory at least two passes of his hiding place before she realized that was where he must have been.

"Ha, found you," she teased, grabbing his hand.

"I can see that," Léan commented, pointedly. He had a smile on his face. He hadn't looked so happy in...quite some time.

Glory noticed how much happier he seemed, and she was glad that she could help him be so happy. It was obvious that he wasn't comfortable staying in the house with her for so long, and she didn't blame him.

"You look like you're having fun," she commented.

"I'm just glad to be back in the water. I feel ten times as comfortable in the water than I do on land..." Léan shifted, uneasily. Being on land made him nervous, short of breath. He still didn't like humans in general. They scared him.

"I know," Glory said. "You don't have to, you know. I know you don't like being topside, and you don't have to stay there if you don't want to."

"It isn't fair for me to drag you into the water more than is needed. We can split the time," Léan hummed, cooperatively.

"Are you sure?" Glory asked. "I know I drag you inside a lot..."

"I'm sure. Don't worry about it." Léan leaned his head against her shoulder, affectionately. He seemed to be fine with it...she did have a life on land, after all.

"Alright..." Glory said, snuggling into his arms. "I just don't like seeing you unhappy."

"I'm not unhappy on land. After a while, I just get uncomfortable and crave the open ocean again," Léan corrected, pointedly. He was happy to snuggle with her.

"Well, let me know next time you get uncomfortable like that," Glory said. "Really, I won't mind."

"All right, then...I shall..." Léan shifted a little more, basking in the warmth of the slight sunlight that reached them this far down.

Glory cuddled into his side, happy.

"I love you," she murmured to him.

"I love you, too," Léan mumbled, eyes closed. Since he wasn't hunting, fish swam very close by them quite often.

Glory watched the fish swim around them, watching all the colors and shapes.

"It's so pretty here," she said.

"It isn't so pretty when I come out here to hunt. It's like...a ghost reef," Léan chuckled. "They know not to come near me when they hear my stomach grumbling."

"Well, you can't say they're not smart enough to try to stay alive," Glory pointed out. She stretched a bit. "Think the shark will get bored enough to track us here?" she asked curiously. "I've noticed he still likes to play."

"I'm not sure. If he does, I hope he doesn't run into that ray. Rays and sharks don't get along," Léan mused, suddenly worried.

"The shark is almost ten feet long with at least two rows of teeth," Glory pointed out. "I'm not really all that worried."

"I'm always worried. Particularly territorial rays are the worst. That one...I was lucky enough to catch it off-guard." Léan reluctantly relaxed. "Oh well...I'm sure my worries aren't worth worrying over..."

"I'm guessing that rays just don't like anyone," Glory said, "which means that they can be as bad-tempered as they like and we can ignore them as long as we don't get in the way." She snuggled with him. "And the shark will keep any of them from trying to settle around the beach."

"My apologies for worrying so much. When I was a toddler, I was almost killed by a large ray, so...I suppose I worry more than the average person about them," Léan sighed, snuggling with her in return.

Glory laid on the sand with him, comfortable.

"At least we'll get the time alone we wanted," she said softly. She grinned a bit. "I liked it when you held me."

Léan grumbled. "Again, that was all you were worried about?" he teased, curling up with her on the sand. The fish didn't bother them. They wouldn't, unless they sensed that he was hungry.

"Can you blame me for wanting to be close to you?" Glory asked, cuddling with him.
