"Alright," Glory said. "I'm guessing that would be my cue to start making my way inside, hm?"

"You don't have to, if you can see him from here..." Léan amended. He floated up to poke his head up out of the water and peer towards the house. He could just barely make out the tank.

"Well, what do you see?" Glory asked. She didn't want to go inside if she didn't have to.
|
Léan stayed above water for a moment before dropping back down. "He's asleep. He's napping. I'm not sure for how long, but...he should be fine, for now."

"Alright," Glory said. "Then we should be alright for a little while, right?"
|
"Right...we should get moving right away, then...it will be a bit of a swim. Are you sure you're up to it?" Léan asked, as a precaution.

"I'll let you know if I start to get tired," Glory replied. "Better to find out how far I can go at one time right now, rather than on our way to the Gulf."

"True," Léan murmured, nodding. He turned, and headed in the proper direction. Lleu's dwelling was a popular place for misfits of the mer-world--abominations, orphans...people of every background.

Glory went with him, staying next to him the whole time. She was glad he kept to a pace she could keep up with.

Léan didn't pass any merpeople on the way to Utzi. He was glad for that--he didn't want to cause trouble. Abominations could be easy to sniff out for some merpeople. It took a good hour and a half...but, eventually, something was sighted in the distance. It was a large dome made out of some sort of odd glass. There was a large city inside, teeming with people.

Glory stayed close to him as they got closer to the city. She probably would have held on to his arm or something if she wouldn't have been in the way doing so.

Léan took a moment to scope out the front gate. There were three gates--one in the front and two on the sides of the dome. All were guarded. "I'm not quite sure what it takes to get into Utzi. I believe entrance is restricted to only those Lleu allows in."

"Don't ask me," Glory said. "You would know best."
|
"Which means..." Léan grumbled on for the next few minutes under his breath. "We will have to find Lleu. I don't know if he's inside the city. But, as it's said...if he wants us to come in, he'll come and find us..." He settled down on one of the tall rock columns to their right.

"Well, if only my music player was waterproof," Glory joked, trying to lighten the mood a little.

"Your what?" A clueless look returned to Léan, and he blinked a few times, puzzled. Of course. He was still like a small child when it came to the technology of the world above.

"I have a portable music player I keep in my school bag," Glory said. "It's exactly what it sounds like. You saw the program on my computer while we were in Hawaii, remember? I have upwards of a thousand songs or something like that."

"..." Léan scratched his head. "Oh. I see. Sort of." He sighed. "I suppose I'll never understand your wacky world. And it is quite wacky, no matter what way you try to explain it."

"It is not," Glory protested. "You just weren't raised with it like I was. I'll show the music player to you when we get home. Just make sure it doesn't get wet, or else it'll stop working right."

"It is wacky," Léan huffed. He was half-teasing. He did think the human world was completely insane, with the ways they did most things and the odd objects they had. But now, he was just saying it to playfully get on her nerves.

Glory rolled her eyes and stuck her tongue out at him before giving him a kiss.
"I'll educate you yet," she threatened playfully. |
"I am not a good student when it comes to humans," Léan reminded her, after leaning into their kiss. He was hoping Lleu would find them soon. He had heard many rumors of Lleu having some sort of odd powers...he could detect when people were nearby, even outside city limits, and would go searching for them.

"Well, we're both stubborn, so I'm sure we'll figure something out," Glory replied, cuddling into his side.

"Like what?" Léan scoffed, amusedly. "A large tuna as a reward for good behavior?"

"Perhaps," Glory teased. "Or a movie or something."
