"So what was that earlier, when I kissed you?" Glory asked. She was more curious than anything, since she hadn't been aware she could make that sound before.

"...If you have not noticed yet...purring is one of the trademark sounds of our species," Léan explained, embarrassed. "It's triggered by contentedness, or by pleasure."

"I never really thought about it before," Glory admitted. It was true, she hadn't, until she started making the sound herself.

"Another I should possibly warn you about is hissing. Instinctual noises are the ones you may end up using without knowing it, even on land," Léan sighed, surprised that it had originally slipped his mind to tell her this.

"Well, you know I try to be fairly even-tempered," Glory said, cuddling with him. "'Try' being the keyword there, though. Certain people annoy me, but otherwise I think I'll be alright."

"Don't be surprised if you're angry one day and an animal-like hiss comes out of your mouth..." Léan chuckled, stretching his legs out. "Ahh...it still feels weird having these."

"I never thought I would miss my toes, but I sometimes do," Glory said. She wiggled her toes a bit in emphasis.

Léan gave her a strange look, like he thought she had just said something totally insane. Then, he shook his head. "I don't want to know if I understand that or not."

"Well, after spending a while in the water, I kind of miss having toes," Glory explained, a bit embarassed. "I never thought I would miss my toes like that."

"I don't miss my fins. I just miss the water," Léan huffed, arching an eyebrow. "I don't think I'll ever understand 'missing toes.' That's odd to me..."

Glory shrugged.

"You don't have to understand it," she said, cuddling with him.

"I suppose I don't..." Léan closed his eyes, allowing his mind to wander. He was happy to lay here with her...but unless they slept, they were both going to run out of things to talk about and do...

Glory was content to lay there with him, and she didn't mind if they dozed off. She'd been missing sleep all week, and had quite a bit to make up for.

Léan wasn't ready to sleep just yet. As such, he twitched and opened up his eyes to glance around the room, before closing them again anyway. It was an odd thing to see him do, as he was usually content just staying still.

Glory noticed his twitching.

"Why are you fidgeting so much?" she asked. "If you don't want to stay here, you don't have to."

"No, I want to stay here...I'm just not tired yet," Léan attempted to explain, sheepishly. "I'm waiting for my mind to cool down, so I can have a nice, restful nap. It is not being kind to me."

"Well, what are you thinking so hard about?" Glory asked. "And don't say nothing, I'll know you're lying."

"Many different things. Different topics of all kinds. Trying to get it all out of the way now so my mind tires and is out of things to think about for the moment..." Léan gently wrapped his arms around her, affectionately. "I am hyper, for some reason."

"You're starting to sound like your brother," Glory teased affectionately, though she cuddled into the embrace.

Léan shuddered. "Oh, no. I don't want to turn into him. Not in the least." He shuddered once more, and then rested their heads together, contently.

"You know I'm teasing you," Glory said, snuggling closer. After a moment, she asked, "what have you been thinking about the most? What topics pop up most often?"

"Well." Léan searched his memory, leaving out some embarrassing things. "...How I'm going to learn how to walk. If Lleu and Morty are going to leave, now that Morty is better. What we are going to do about my parents."

"I told you I would help you," Glory reminded him. "I never said it would be easy... Though I did say that you didn't have to do this in the first place."

"You don't have to keep repeating it," Léan huffed. "I wanted to do this. Now we aren't restricted to just one world..." He trailed off, and then shook his head, laying it down again.

"I didn't mind splitting my time," Glory pointed out, but she didn't press the issue any further than that. She cuddled with him, resting her head on his shoulder.
