Léan shifted, and quietly sat down, watching her work. He didn't mind what they ate, as long as it wasn't toxic to him.
Glory finally decided to just make some sandwiches. They were simple and easy to make, and didn't take any effort. Once they were done, she gave one to him and then sat down next to him.
Léan studied it for a moment, holding it semi-awkwardly, before he took a bite. A look of relief washed over his face--it tasted good. He finished it up, cheerily.
Glory leaned against him a bit, eating her own sandwich. She enjoyed being with him, and was glad that it was easier now.
Léan smiled, resting their heads together affectionately. "...We should try things on land, now that I'm fully land-accessible...I just don't think I could run for a long distance..."
"Did you have anything in mind?" Glory asked. She liked cuddling with him, and she rested her head on his shoulder.
"I don't know what you humans do for fun," Léan retorted, amusedly. "You tell me..."
"Well, when you made the suggestion, I thought you had something in mind," Glory replied. "This time of year, there's really not much to do aside from shopping and the occasional movie."
"I'm sure there are other things...we will just have to look around..." Léan seemed eager to do something on land...since he hadn't been able to before.
"I could probably find out if there's anything going on locally this time of year," Glory said. "It's getting late today, though, so maybe tomorrow?"
Léan nodded, and stretched himself out. His back cracked a few times. It wasn't used to being out of water, or upright...
Glory leaned up and gave him a kiss.
"Come on," she said, standing up, "let's go and cuddle for a while." |
Léan stood up with her, wrapping his arm around hers. He seemed much steadier, now...he could walk on his own, but he liked having her support.
Glory didn't mind him using her for support. She liked the contact with him. Once they got into her room, she snuggled in with him on the bed.
Léan cuddled up with her, as well, pulling the blanket firmly over them. He was full and relaxed...and more than ready to just rest for a while.
Glory snuggled close to him. Sleep sounded nice, especially after everything earlier.
It didn't take long for Léan to drift off into sleep. For the first time in a while, he sang softly in his sleep, unaware that he was doing it.
Glory drifted off quickly as well, so she didn't notice him singing in his sleep again. She slept too soundly for it to bother her, though she didn't 'talk' in her sleep herself.
Léan talked in his sleep, and sang, though this was soft. It was a habit of his he had never been able to shake...this, he also inherited from his father.
Glory woke up after a while. When she heard him, she shook him gently.
"Hey," she said softly, "you're talking in your sleep again." |
Léan blinked a few times, and then shook his head, attempting to shake the sleep off of him. "...Ah...I was...?" he asked, voice heavy with sleep.
"Yeah," Glory replied. She was snuggled comfortably with him. "It didn't bother me, you know how deeply I sleep, but you said you need to break that habit."
Léan grumbled. "I suppose I do..." He rested his head on top of hers, affectionately. "Though, I'm not quite sure how to do that..."
"I have no idea, either," Glory pointed out as she cuddled with him. "I sleep too deeply to bother talking in my sleep."
"I've always talked and sung in my sleep...it's how secrets of mine get revealed, unintentionally..." Léan paused, and then cleared his throat.
