Léan nodded, gently walking with her out to the living room, his hand clasping hers tightly.

Viktor was awake. He was texting rather animatedly now, and he only briefly glanced up when they walked in. "Hey."

"Any improvement in the last few hours?" Glory asked. At least Viktor wasn't sulking anymore... That was a plus.

"Curry's working. But he offered to come pick me up if you guys want me out of here...I mean, I don't mind leaving...I just don't want to take up your couch for eternity," Viktor muttered, a bit embarrassed.

"You'll probably be more comfortable with him than you are here," Glory pointed out. It was practical... and yes, she did kind of want him out by now. Not that she would say that aloud.

"True...he gets off of work in an hour. He'll come and get me, then..." Viktor texted the good news to Curry before shoving his phone in his pocket.

"Alright," Glory replied. That sounded like a wonderful plan. And it would get him off of the couch, that was good.

"I can tell you want me to leave--I'd want me to leave, too. Hate it when people hog up my couch, even after being stabbed," Viktor teased, good-naturedly.

Léan snickered--he had ventured out into the kitchen for something to drink.

"Oh shut up, you," Glory replied, teasing as well. "I didn't say anything like that, though I might have been thinking it fairly loudly."

"I ain't a mind-reader. If you want some of your couch, I can try to shift over until Curry gets here," Viktor offered, semi-seriously.

"Nah, you can stay where you are," Glory replied. "It's fine." She was tempted to joke that the mind-reader tended to hang around the beach, but she didn't.

Léan had located a soda in the back of the fridge and was wondering how in the world he was supposed to open it. He didn't drink much--he never had to physically drink underwater anyway. But on land, he found that he grew thirsty.

Glory went into the kitchen to find him examining the soda can.

"There's a tab on top," she said. Reaching over, she showed him how it worked.

Léan seemed really puzzled by how the tab really worked, and was thankful she had opened it the first time for him. He sipped at the soda slowly, absently, as he stared off into space.

Glory poked around the kitchen, although she wasn't really all that hungry, most likely just a temporary side-effect of her pregnancy. After a few moments, she sat down on a chair and looked out the window at the water.

Léan yawned, rather loudly, after he finished up his soda. He wasn't used to caffeine, so it was having more of a depressant-ish effect on his body.

Glory sighed slightly. For some reason, she wanted to be back out in the water, though she was willing to let Léan decide when they went back outside. She wasn't all that fond of other people seeing her at the moment, but it couldn't be helped.

Léan glanced upwards, then turned towards her. "Do you want to go back out to the water for a while? We can always go and see if Aster is causing any trouble."

"Only if you want to," Glory replied. Again, she was feeling entirely self-conscious, but if he wanted to go back outside, she would follow him.

"We don't have to go near anyone. We can always find a quiet place to rest in," Léan backpedaled, slowly.

"I'll go with you if you want to go outside," Glory replied. She was pretty sure that wasn't the answer he was looking for, but that was about the best she could do.

Léan nodded, slowly. "All right...I don't want to force you," he added, quickly, as he set the empty soda can down on the counter and offered her his hand.

Glory took his hand and stood up.

"It's not like I can really stay away from everyone else for the next month," she said practically. Although it was strange that she wanted to hole herself up like that, but she was trying to ignore it.

Léan nodded, grinning. "You have an excuse to stay away from my brother, though. Notice how he's been keeping away? He can't control his tackling issues and doesn't want to risk harming you."

"That's something, at least," Glory commented. She really didn't want to be tackled. "Though more than likely, it's the children he's worried about instead of me." That seemed more likely to her, since she didn't think that his brother had gotten over his fear of humans yet.

"He's probably worried about you as well as them..." Léan offered, airily, as they stepped outside. He didn't mind seeing his brother...but too much was too much.
