Glory followed him, still holding his hand.

"Probably not as much about me, though," she pointed out. She wasn't sure what had sparked her dismal mood, and she would probably need something to cheer her up.

Léan grunted in her direction as he quickly stepped out of his clothing. "I'm the only one allowed to be a depressing, sulky party pooper," he reminded her, teasingly, as he slid back into the water.

"I can't be the optimist all the time," Glory pointed out as she undressed and followed him into the water. It was probably just a mood brought on by the pregnancy, so there was nothing to do for it but wait it out.

Léan made a face. "I can never be an optimist," he countered, reasonably, as he led them out into deeper water. He was looking for a nice place to rest in...

Glory followed him, still holding his hand. Already, she was relaxing more... The water was supporting her weight better, and there wasn't as much strain on her back. She would be content to snuggle with him for a while, as long as nobody else stumbled over them.

Léan curled up in a small, empty area near a pile of grayish, half-dead coral. Dead coral tasted just as good if not better than living coral, if it was eaten freshly after death in cool water.

Glory curled up next to him and snuggled close. She found the dead coral to be a little unnerving, but was able to ignore it well enough.

Léan found it nice, since it hid them snugly from view. He stayed curled up close with her, his eyes drifting closed.

Glory snuggled closer to him and gradually relaxed more. It felt good to just lay there with him. Maybe a bit later, she could try running a few more names by him to see what he thought of them... They still needed to find female names he liked.

Léan felt nice just laying there, as well. It was quiet in the water today--not even sounds of distant conversation. A good thing, since that told him that the silence was peaceful...

It didn't take Glory long to drift off into a light sleep. It was getting easier and easier to fall asleep, recently, though she could easily attribute that to the pregnancy. Carrying around a pair of squirming children wasn't exactly easy, after all.

Léan stayed awake a while longer, but soon followed her into sleep. It was a light sleep, and he woke dup several times.

((I'm going to bed. I'm really tired and don't feel well...))

Glory woke up a few times, as well, but for the most part she drifted in and out of sleep. After about the third time she woke up, though, she decided to just stay awake.

Glory sat awkwardly on her favorite rock. The last few weeks hadn't been all that easy on her, and she was glad not to be moving around much. She tried not to react when one of the twins kicked her, and she rubbed her stomach a little.

Léan was currently out gathering food for himself. He had also promised a large fish that she could stow away in her freezer, as well...so he would be out for a while.

Lleu had returned to the beach about an hour ago. However, he hadn't approached her or anyone else...he was simply curled up in the shallows, his stark white form easily visible from the rocks. He seemed like he was hesitant to approach her...did he have news about Aster?

Glory saw Lleu from her place on the rocks. She noticed how hesitant he was, and she wondered why. She didn't make any move to get up, though. The twins were heavy and moving was awkward, so she waited for him to get closer.

Lleu took his sweet old time. He finally approached her after a few long minutes, poking his head out from above water. He seemed bored-looking...and possibly a little ill.

"I did a bit of poking around about Aster. I now know where I know him from..."

"Obviously, everything isn't alright, so I'll forego the rhetorical question," Glory said. "Should I ask what happened?"

"...Well...I'll just share what I know," Lleu decided, after a moment. "Thankfully, it's not bad news. I may not look it, of course, but I've lived for a very long time. Aster used to be a human. He's a changed human...I was the one who changed him. I found him abandoned at sea, after a bad shipwreck. When he woke, clinging to a piece of the ship floating out at sea, he saw me...and had a severe case of amnesia. I took him to a nearby island, helped him survive. Since he had nowhere to go, I offered to change him..."

He shifted slightly. "I offered him a home in Utzi, but he refused...he instead wandered off on his own. I never saw him again. From what I've researched...he used to be a marine biologist, a member of a special group that...goes looking for our kind."

"Interesting," Glory commented as she listened. That was drama if she'd ever heard it. "That last part could be problematic, but it shouldn't be too hard to keep an eye out for anything susicious. Any kind of vessel or search team around here would stick out."

Lleu's brow furrowed slightly. "...Around the time you first met Léan...wasn't he caught in a peculiar net?" he asked, puzzled. He was going through all of the thoughts he had heard from both of them since he'd met them.

"Trust me, the thought did cross my mind," Glory replied. "A few times. But nothing else happened around here, so I didn't think much more of it."

Lleu nodded, glancing off into the distance. "...Well...all this time, Aster hasn't regained his memory of who he was as a human. If he does, I fear he'll reveal the location of your little pack to his colleagues. That was the worry eating away at me..."

"If that happens, then we'll figure something out," Glory replied. She couldn't leave, obviously, not with the twins to look after, but it would be easy enough for the others to scatter and find somewhere safe. She rubbed her stomach a little. She was huge, by now, so it couldn't possibly be much long before the twins arrived. Hell, they could theoretically arrive any time, now.
