"Shark first," Glory replied. "Its exposure to air should probably be kept to a minimum."

"I wanna transport them together, so it'd probably be more practical to get Léan first. But, lemme get a feel for this shark's aggression level..." Viktor stepped into the water, still in his wet suit.

The shark was wary of him at first, but eventually warmed up to him, allowing him to pet it underwater.

((what are you doing online this early? ...then again, I could ask myself the same thing...))

"It's a sweet creature," Glory replied as she watched the shark. "At least, for now."

((I hadn't gone to sleep yet. D: I'd been up all night playing video games. :3 ))

Viktor checked it over, and then checked what they hadn't, yet--for gender. It seemed he was used to working with fish--he took care of the large fish tank in his family's restaurant. "Looks like this is a male. Males have more aggression issues, so you'll have to watch him," he warned. "All right...I don't think I'll have much of a problem with this guy. Lift Léan up and set him on the tarp...I'll get ready with the shark, since this guy can't be out of water for too long."

"It's just like back home," Glory teased as she picked Léan up. "Except this time, you're not going to end up on my couch or in my bath tub."

Léan frowned at her, more so when Viktor began to snicker. Then, he sighed and shifted to get comfortable once he was set down on the tarp.

"You can sit in the bed of the truck, Glory, to help him monitor the shark," Viktor offered, reaching down into the water. "We have to do this as quickly as possible. No one's in the house right now, so we should be able to head in and to your room without being seen."

He patted the shark gently before reaching under it and, with a heavy sigh, lifted it up out of the water.

The shark's reaction was immediate--it didn't try to bite, but it did flap around and bare its teeth, making a weird little hissing noise, as Viktor set it down on the tarp.

Glory sat down on the back of the pickup, gently running a hand down the shark's back. Absently, she wondered how she was going to get it into the house, back home. Nana was understanding, but Glory wasn't sure if Nana would be THIS understanding...

Léan also helped to soothe the shark. He was awkward in doing this, of course, but he did help--the shark quickly calmed down, though it was almost like it was gasping for water.

Viktor hopped into his truck as quickly as possible. "Wrap Léan up in the tarp so no one can see him when we pass by," he warned as he gunned the engine and headed towards the house.

"I'm starting to think this would have been a lot easier with the suitcase," Glory commented.

Léan shrugged as he hid himself under the tarp. "This is quicker, though. And we can't afford to waste much time, seeing as the shark won't last long on land," he reminded her. "You could always get the suitcase when we get back, and Viktor can take the shark up to the tank right away.

"I might," Glory replied as she kept the shark relatively calm. "Once everything is all settled, I might call home and see what Nana is up to."

"All right." Thankfully, since he was so well hidden beneath the tarp, no passerby noticed Léan as the truck whizzed by them.

Viktor pulled up to the front of the house and hopped out of the truck. "I'll take the shark up...there should be another tarp under the one the shark's on, so you can use that to wrap Léan up in, to take him up, if you want."

"I have a better idea," Glory replied. "When you get upstairs, the big suitcase is propped against the wall. Bring that down with you."

"Sure." Viktor scooped up the shark and headed inside. He returned a moment later with the suitcase. "There you are."

Opening the suitcase, Glory made sure the blankets were still in it.

"Nobody will think twice about someone with a suitcase, right?" she commented.

"Nah, go ahead. You should be fine," Viktor assured her, leaning against the side of the truck to relax for a moment.

Léan shifted into a position that would be easier for her to pick him up in.

Picking him up, Glory set him carefully into the suitcase and closed it most of the way. She wasn't necessarily paranoid this time; nobody would look twice at her if she acted like nothing was different.

Once everything seemed fine, Viktor shrugged off the side of his truck and hopped back into the driver's seat. "I left the little ladder that came with the tank set up against it, so you should be able to walk up it and set him in carefully enough." He drove away with that as his final word, back towards the crowded beach.

Léan shifted, and then settled in the suitcase.

Glory went straight to her room, doing her best to look inconspicuous. Once she was in the room, she closed the door.

"Alright, I think the coast is clear," she said, glancing around. It was hard to miss the big tank with the shark in it, but otherwise the room was empty.

Léan peeked his head out, curiously. "Seems like it..." He eyed the tank warily, but nodded. "It seems large enough...I just hope our shark doesn't grow a whole lot..."

"We're only here for a couple more days," Glory replied. "I don't think it'll get much bigger in that timeframe, and then we'll be home where it can get as big as it wants."

Léan nodded, thoughtfully. "All right...fair enough. Let's see if it is big enough for both of us." He wanted a bit of space, after all.

"Alright," Glory replied, carefully picking him up. She made her way up the ladder slowly, making sure not to trip or fall.

Léan stayed as still as possible, to make it easier for her. He didn't want to be dropped, and he didn't want her to fall and hurt herself.

Once Glory got up to the top of the ladder, she carefully leaned over the side of the tank and let Léan go into the water.
