"Very pretty." Ben smiled happily as he poured out a glass of juice for Lora before placing it back in the fridge and shutting the door. "Do you want to go out tonight?" Ben asked. After all his friends had invited him out and he thought Lora deserved a night out for learning her letters as fast as she had.

Lorabelle nodded as she took a sip of her juice before returning back to her letters. "I would very much like to see more of this place," Lorabelle added as she worked on perfecting her name. "Did you have anything particular in mind?"

"Friends from school want to go to a pub tonight. Its a place where people drink alcohol and hang out. Some of them will get a bit rowdy, I'm sure." Ben sighed, rolling his eyes as he thought of the last few times he'd drank with them. "But just stick close, alright? No making me run off searching for you on a wild goose chase." He laughed as he leaned over the counter and gave Lora's forehead a kiss before returning to his juice.

"I shall try my best," Lorabelle grinned as she looked up from her letters. "But what is alcohol?" Lorabelle asked curiously, "And why does it make people rowdy?"

"It's in certain drinks and it makes people act differently then they normally would because something in it influences your brain." Ben explained. "I plan on staying sober tonight though. Can't be risking a hangover in class tomorrow. Speaking of which, would you mind terribly if I got some homework done? I'd love to keep helping you with words but if I don't finish now I never will." Ben sighed as he glared at his backpack.

Lorabelle shook her head before taking a sip of her juice. "No, please. Go ahead. I don't want you neglecting your own work on account of me. But I must ask.... Why would someone drink something that would influence your brain and make you act differently than usual?"

"Because sometimes it can be fun." Ben shrugged as he heaved his backpack onto the table and pulled out his books and notes. "It affects everyone differently but its something of entertainment, you could say. Granted you don't know any violent drunks. Which I assure you I don't." He added quickly as he pulled out his sheets of homework and began to work on them.

Lorabelle pondered as she sipped her juice, "I've never seen anybody.... drunk before. Nor have I ever been drunk... I wonder what it is like to be someone you are not all because of a little drink...." Shrugging it off, Lorabelle returned to her letters and continued to work on them.

The hours ticked by slowly, too slow if you'd asked Ben who was diligently at work on his papers. Once they were finished he eyed clock and realized that his friends must've been at the pub for almost an hour now. "Lora?" He asked as he packed his things, feeling relieved he'd put that chore behind him. "I'm going to get ready, if you still want to go out that is?" He questioned.

"Sure," Lorabelle said with a smile as she set down her pencil and looked over her many sheets of letters and sheets filled with just her name and Ben's name as she tried to perfect her writing skills. Running her hands through her hair, Lorabelle looked down at her dress with a small chuckle, "Though I do think I should wash my dress and bathe before we go.. After all, it is the only clothing I have."

"That sounds fine, tomorrow I promise we'll take you out and find you some clothes. I think its been long enough since you had some clothes of your own." Ben chuckled softly as he set his now empty juice glass in the kitchen sink and wandered into the bedroom to change his clothes.

Lorabelle laughed as she finished her juice and placed it in the sink. Heading to the bathroom, Lorabelle called, "What do human girls normally wear, if not this? When I saw Adeline and Gina, they were wearing male clothes.. Why is it not many human girls wear dresses?" Lorabelle asked as she slid out of her dress and undergarments, beginning to wash them in the bathroom sink.

"On Earth pants are considered men's clothing only. Plenty of girls wear dresses and some prefer pants. It all depends on what they like." Ben called as he pulled out a pair of jeans and a t-shirt then changed into them.

"Humans are so strange... Next you will be telling me that men where dresses!" Lorabelle said with a laugh as she rinsed her clothing and hung them to dry. Turning on the shower, Lorabelle hopped in and began washing her hair and scrubbing her skin clean.

"Actually..." Ben mumbled with a laugh though he didn't continue on as he strode back out to the living room and turned on the TV to pass time until Lora was ready.

Lorabelle frowned as she wrapped a towel around her frame and began drying her hair. Opening the door, Lorabelle called, "Ben? My clothes are still not dry... Why is it taking so long for them to dry? Shouldn't they be dry by now?"

"There's a dryer downstairs if you'd like me to put them in there." Ben called. "You could always wear some clothes from Gina." He said as he flicked through the channels, none of them being able to capture his attention.

"How does a dryer work?" Lorabelle asked as she stepped out of the bathroom still trying her hair, the towel around her torso safely tucked so it wouldn't slip off. "I would feel terrible borrowing from Gina again.. I have already kept her shoes hostage all of this time.."

"I'm sure she won't mind, she has plenty of clothes." Ben said. "A dryer is something you put clothes in and it tumbles them with hot air so they dry faster." He explained, his feet propped up on his small coffee table. "Would you like me to ask Gina for something?" Ben offered.

Lorabelle nodded, "If she doesn't mind... I'll hang things back up so hopefully they will be dry for tonight. Am I making you late for meeting your friends?" Lorabelle asked with a small frown, seeing that Ben had clearly been ready to go for awhile.

"Of course not." Ben shook his head. "They can wait." He smiled at her as he stood up and set the remote down. "I'll be right back." He assured her before heading downstairs to Jack and Gina's apartment.

"Ben?" Gina asked as she opened the door, obviously dressed for a date with Jack.

"Hey, I was wondering if you had an outfit I could borrow for Lora? I was going to bring her to the pub tonight with some friends." Ben said as he leaned against the door frame.

"Oh, yeah, of course." Gina said before disappearing into her bedroom.

"Hey, man!" Jack called as Ben stepped inside.

"Sorry to interrupt anything." Ben laughed with a wink, causing Jack to roll his eyes.

"Just heading out to a movie and dinner. Keeping it classic tonight." Jack said before Gina came back carrying a pair of jeans and a red t-shirt.

"Thank you, I owe you guys." Ben said as he took the clothes in his hands. "I'll see you guys later." He called before turning and going back to his apartment with Lora.

Not long after Ben has left, Lorabelle sat upon the couch to wait. One ankle tucked behind the other, Lorabelle continued to rub the towel through her long black hair that absolutely hated this new world she had come to. Giving up, Lorabelle set the towel on her lap and waited for Ben, her thoughts filled with curiosity about no only the Pub, but of Ben's friends and how they would react to her. After Adeline's reaction to her, Lorabelle was beginning to wonder just how strange she seemed to everyone, and was becoming more and more self conscious about it.

When Ben came back, Lorabelle looked at the clothing in his hands curiously. "Are those for me?"

"Yes." Ben smiled as he lifted up the clothes before handing them to her. "She grabbed a pair of her pants but maybe you'll like them once you see them on." He offered her as he sat down on the couch. "Are you alright? We don't have to go out tonight if you'd rather stay here." Ben said as he looked at her, a bit concerned.

"I'm fine," Lorabelle said with a laugh as she took the clothes and headed to the bathroom. Putting the towels into the hamper, Lorabelle changed into the outfit. Looking over herself, Lorabelle pulled at the shirt curiously. She couldn't figure out how to make the jeans close because they were different than the pants she borrowed from Ben to wear to bed, but she was sure Ben could figure it out.

Heading out of the bathroom, Lorabelle walked over to Ben with a blush. "I can't figure out the pants...," Lorabelle admitted with a small laugh, "Does it look alright? People will not find me odd for wearing it?"

"You look great, Lora. I promise. Girls wearing pants isn't strange here." Ben said as he walked over to her and closed the button of the pants before closing the zipper as well. "There you go. What do you think of them?" Ben asked, tilting his head to the side a bit.
